exactly :P one of the reasons why i started this to get more funny and cool dance videos of gw2

none but my word, i posted the pic of the gold so its not like i dont have it. Just have to trust that i will give 100 gold to the winner.. Which i will of course.

Forgive me for the double post, added useful hints which can help with doing dances ingame and also added links to sites that show a list of free software for capturing and editing. The choice is yours as to what one you want to use.

:P 100 gold is a nice bag of coinage for doing nothing but making a video.

My next events will have 2nd and 3rd prizes, this is essentially a test one to see how it runs and how i can improve on my next events.

Starting when i post this i will be starting a community event where the winner will get 100 gold straight from my pocket into yours.
The event will run for exactly 2 weeks and end on the 13th of December (no i didnt plan this for Christmas event, been planning this since Halloween).

how can i enter???
Everyone can enter all you need is a character in gw2 and be able to record it and post it on youtube then post the link on This Thread, new videos only no old stuff made before event. (look below for judging criteria).
You can post multiple entries but we will only take the last one you posted as your official entry.

Judging criteria This is guidelines as to what we look for, not rules of entry.
Production Quality: video posted in 720p, widescreen/no black lines, graphics ingame at a reasonable level, UI hidden.
Scale: 10? 20? 50? 100!! The more you can get to dance the better.
Location: The more spectacular the sceenery the better
Song Compatibility: Does your song suite the dance?
Originality: not just coping where the dances originated (putting party rock in the background while dancing as a human)
Multi racial: got all 5 races in your video? + + +

Useful hints and programs:
Hint: Lcrtl+Lshift+H hides the UI if you havent changed the hotkey

Hint: /Emote * will do a 5 second delay and make all players in the area that do the same command in sync.
Example: If me and another asura type /dance * we will do our dance in sync with each other after 5 seconds of the first person typing the command (if i do the /dance * any asura that does it in that 5 second period will start when i start).

In light of the close competition i will open up a 2nd place winners entry where you the community will vote for the 2nd place and 10gold be given to them. Yeah i think more armor skins is a must also, they can keep adding more town clothes with every season event like with Christmas coming up i can see some santa kind of outfits or maybe elf outfits.

great to see them add this in it has been much needed for awhile, as others have said more of this useful/silly things in the gem store will make everyone more happy (more funny finishes would be fantastic).

I think having to complete a few jumping puzzles to get world completion is a good thing, it isn’t ment to be 100% easy to get 100% completion. The dredge one took me about 3 hours, but the satisfaction of knowing you are part of a small group (i see alot of lvl80’s without stars by there names) is something to be proud of with being able to show some competent playing.

On a side note i didn’t complete the Halloween clock tower (speed jumping not my thing) so im not very good at jump puzzles, but patience and a good eye for knowing where exactly to jump to/from can make the jump puzzles connected with vistas pretty easy to get(frustration is how you start to make silly mistakes).

Its still under speculation till we see the actual armor, she didn’t specificly say “runes” just “upgrade components” which could just mean jewels.

I understand how people are feeling but if you look deep into it nothing about runes has been mentioned just upgrade components (it is a broad term i know).

Edit: to have runes built into armor they would need to create like what 25 pieces of armor with each of the rune sets? thats alot of pieces to build, this is why i think they only mean jewels not runes as there is only a few different jewels.

Ok people lets sit down and look at this with open eyes a little.

Ascended gear will have higher stats then exotic – yes
Ascended gear for all we know will only have infusion upgrade slots that effect damage from pve bosses in the dungeon – yes
Ascended gear will not have upgrade slots for runes or in any shape or form be able to have the special effects of runes – yes

This is facts we have as far as ANet has said nothing about runes on armor as they arent the same as jewels like in rings/amulets etc as they can only be put in armor.

So lets look at this you get from what everyone is saying, an 8% increase in stats with ascended (do we really need to count mag find?) thats about 100 ish power and precision (we still dont know the exact stats so only speculation).

Now lets look at runes, lets say you have strength runes in your armor. the 3 meaningful set bonus you get is
20% might duration
3% chance to gain might for 20sec when hit
5% damage while under the effects of might

so we have a choice 100 ish more power/pre or having might on you alot longer (which stacks to 25) and having a 5% damage increase overall (including weapon damage i might add so its really 5% of lets say 3.5k damage which is 175 power)

From that calculation you still do more upfront damage with exotic gear and runes.

Now if you arent a high damage character and went for condition damage the ascended gear might be better for a higher power increase, but then there is still the condition damage runes which do more in a condition spec then pure power/percision upgrade ascended gear gives.

From all that im seeing is ANet giving us more options. Either more upfront stats with Ascended or going more spec heavy with exotic/runes. This is not a gear tredmill just different build options. I for one will be staying with my exotic gear with strength runes in them for that extra might duration and higher damage while under might.

Note: if ANet does give ascended with runes then you have all the right to laugh at me.

Last Note: From all we know ascended amulets/rings may not include all the stats the jewels offer in diversity so again some builds could still get more of what they want then what ascended gear offers not every one goes glass cannon power/precision.

I only have this problem on one spvp map.. ahhh the one with the 2 lords (having a brain fart atm). I dont live in Italy but i thought i would chime in here and say it does happen elsewhere (I live in New Zealand btw)

I dont lag at all just get the infinite loading screen on this map only when i die in the middle of the graveyard, even sometimes on my first death which is very strange.
