Surprising i know, his team is taking a break but he streamed last night none the less to help out the stream and the community which no other streamer has done that is taking a break, per say. He may complain alot but he really wants the stream to succeed.

As the necro for the team i can say we do really well considering we have only been together a few days and being able pulling off some nice wins against teams that have been together alot longer. Maybe its just beginners luck but we do get some fantastic games.

Couldn’t agree more with the op good post. I don’t make my way here to forums often, but when i do i look through alot of different threads and most are nonsense so its refreshing to see someone that posts something that does make sense

As a player who has been playing non stop since BW1 i appreciate people who sees the game as it is and not in an “mmo’s have to be like x, x and x and have x, x and x type of content”. Sure the games not perfect and could use some things added here and there to boost its longevity but as a game for $60? you wont find a game with a better bang for your buck out there

The newly created guild Wings of the Sun is recruiting active PvX players and dedicated WvW players to help kick some behind for the server.

We have a strong leadership that has a plethora of experience in everything Pve related content from dungeons to open world events. We have a tactically gifted commander who will direct us in guild WvW events to battle thy heathens of the opposing servers.

We have many ranks available for dedicated guild members to advance for extra benifits in WvW and Pve alike.

Im also a very heavy community player having created the “Dance Dance Dance for 100 gold” community driven event where i gave away 110 total of my own gold to the 1st and 2nd winners. So you can expect more community driven events from me and the guild in the comming months.

Lastly we have a good knowledge and understanding of spvp with myself having played over 700 spvp matches and played in free tounaments a bunch of times, if we get enough interest in this we will create a team to battle it out in the tournament system and/or have guild spvp matches to hone our skills or just for some fun.

if you are really adventures you may want to try a dagger/dagger or scepter/dagger Ele.
It involves lots of speed and mobility with using all 4 of the attunements. (which is the ele version of weapon swapping in combat)

In my opinion its one of the funnest combats for any class. My main is still my guardian but playing my ele and lvling her is very fun indeed, even more so then when i was lvling my guardian.

Finished my armor, got armor from 3 different dungeons with the hardest to get the pants from arah.. Oh lub how i have come to hate you some nights.

I went for a kind of a ruggered knight kind of thing with Gold/Royal purple/White as my main color choices.

Oh and the reason i picked Arah pants was that it looks the closest to a cloak on my back.. atleast from looking from the front :P if something better gets added i will of course change to that

Im gonna add my 2 cents in about this.

I think ANet are moving to try fix this, they have made a few small steps already like having a part of the monthly be for jumping puzzles, i do 2-4 different ones a day and see a pretty good amount of people. It may not put people all over zones but around where the jumping puzzle entrances are ive seen a good handful of people doing DE’s there. An example was in Iron Marches i seen 5 people doing the DE chain near the jumping puzzle then proceeding to do the jumping puzzle with my friend and i. Its not the biggest step to fixing the issue, but if we get some solid addditions to this with the up coming patches i think we might see a rise in population on different maps.

Might have been better to make the thread in general discussion as it gets a whole lot more traffic and mods wont move it (they didnt move my event thread i made for my event i finished a few weeks back). Also have guildies and friends help keep it on page1 as people dont really go past page 1 on forums.

Congratulations on the win, it was a very close competition with multiple entries in close competition for that winning spot.

In light of the close competition i will open up a 2nd place winners entry where you the community will vote for the 2nd place and 10gold be given to them. You can vote only once per account and it will go for 2 days, so if you didnt win nows the chance to spread the word for guildies/friends to vote for you to make some nice pocket money!!

My wow moment was when doing the wintersday dungeon and when fighting toxx, thinking to myself "her voice style sounds alot like the female computer voice from portal 2* .. Try it out and listen to them both, they both got around the same kind of voice. Maybe it is an easter egg but it made me smile and go “wow”.

hmm well im not the most seasoned spvp player (only glory rank 25 with using no boosters) but i think the game is at a really good pace in terms of combat and twitch play. The 2 classes i spvp with is a dps/support shout guardian and a condition bleed well dps/tank necro and i nearly always dont just sit there auto attacking on something. Im constantly using my class skills and slot skills and using both weapon swaps to there full extent and not just facerolling the 1-5 key.

Maybe its just the specific heavy builds that lack the action as they tend to blow there load so to speak all at once then dont have much sustain and/or just sit there tanking dmg and thats about all.

also i agree that bunker builds do slow the combat down a little especially if you encounter them in a 1v1 situation. I would love to see the capture the flag type thing like the wintersday event implimented in someday as that would make standing around a non issue as you have to engage the other team head on to well get the flag to win.

Just a quick update we are still waiting on the late entry, if i dont recieve it tomorrow we will just have to do it without that entry as i gave them the weekend the finish it.

Took my party about 10-15min to get it all, what i find best is to whip out an aoe weapon like a greatsword and just flail around. Worked for us oh and make sure to kill every tree and every wall section they all count!!

But… I looked at the other videos on this channel and there is a video called “Starfleet Dental Presents: Seeing The World Through Each Other’s Eyes”. At the 1:42 mark on the video it says “Swiss Knight” also known as the guy who made the video you claimed to have made. I also found out that YouTube channel belongs to some guild from another game that later came to Guild Wars 2. I really hope you’re kidding about making the video because that would suck if you were to win and one of these people who worked really hard on their video lost.

Most of the judges are waiting till all the vids are posted to look at them (i look at them to see when it was posted) if we find that entry to be fishy and unjust and not there own entry we will discount it from the competition.

May I suggest a tip to the entrants?

Choreography

You need to make the video flow with the music and dancing.

- Emphasize the song by having the right backdrop.
- When switching between tunes change the camera angle/direction.
- I know the toons have limites dance moves, however, use transitions, camera angles, more toons, or toon transition to make it appear as if the toon is danicng something else.

There really are lots of tips I can give, however, sometimes keeping an idea simple makes it more interesting than throwing 50 ideas into the pot.

Overall I like the vids and will give my 2c the day before the closure of this contest.

We didnt have that rule in when that person put in there entry as it was a slight oversight on my part >.< so i talked to the other judges and we found that it would be unfair to dismiss that entry because of my oversight.

haha was wondering why it was very necro based, i use necro for spvp so i keep a good eye on fixes and updates to them while my pve/wvw character is a guardian.

Would be good to see more viable builds for necro though since there are very few atm with some bugs and underpoweredness to signits

Well i want to bump this thread up because i found a guardian skill that makes my asura say quotes that i havent heard anywhere else in the game and there is about 10 of them. I do think that its gaining protection and regen at the same time that does it so try it out if you can self put those 2 buffs on you at the same time with using one skill.

When i use “hold the line” in combat or entering combat (i have hold the line on auto cast) my asura sometimes says..

“The keep is ours, on to the next”

“Dont just stand there, dodge!!”

“being a genius is such a burden”

" compared to me, other asura have the intelligence of a carrot"

“i see genius looking back at me, everytime i look into the mirror”

“you’ll get more out of your display matrix if you reverse your lateral crystal” that one isnt exact as its hard to hear what he says after reverse

There are a few more but i cant remember them atm, they are very rare quotes so dont expect to get them often. I dont know if it works for other races but its hilarious when im fighing and he yells out the display matrix one.. I swear my asura has the biggest ego.

No you arent, as i said at the top of the judging criteria it is guidelines not rules :P

You can have the worst graphics and have it very low quality but if its one very well made video entertainment wise you can win outright.
