Just wanted to post, that over the weekend I ran Arah path 1,3 and 4 with Wethospu. Both his skill and his patience were outstanding. Thanks very much

It’s great that there are pro’s on both the U.S. and E.U. divide, willing to take the time to run the dungeon with people who aren’t experienced yet.

Anyone willing to run Arah explore with me on an EU server? Arah is the last dungeon I need and can’t get a group for. People only seem to want experienced players. Plus I’m rather worried about joining a group to be kicked at the last boss and have my spot sold. >.>

I’ve got a guardian, warrior, ele and a.. ranger (not like it’ll be useful)

The Dirty Dozen:
1) Would you prefer ascended gear to be the last tier implemented for the remainder of GW2?
Yes

2) Would you prefer ascended gear to be equal to exotic gear in all statistics except agony resistance?
Yes

3) Would you prefer the level cap to remain at 80 for the remainder of GW2?
Yes

4) Would you prefer if WvW was set up on an equal playing field similar to PvP?
No – If I work hard for a look in pve I should be able to use it in WvW.

5) Would you prefer if WvW / PvP / PvE had separate skill functionalities?
Yes

6) Would you prefer if Magic Find was removed from the game completely?
Yes – or I’d be ok with in implemented differently, it should not be an armour stat.

7) Would you prefer if Magic Find was divided equally amongst all party members?
Yes
8) Is GW2 too ‘Grindy?’
Yes – a few items need 250 ectos each, I can loot 1 rare a day and not get an ecto from it.(fix the loot problem, this was not an issue before november 15.)

9) Does GW2 need less RNG?
Yes and no. RNG should go hand in hand with the token system. Meaning I have a chance to loot a dungeon skin from a chest but at the same time if i don’t get it I can buy it with tokens.

10) Has the Trading Post [and all its users/farmers] positively impacted the economy?
The trading post has failed – Many of it’s items are too easy to manipulate caps need to be imposed on how much can be bought and sold by one person. You can’t have a free market without any rules it will simply get out of hand.

11) Do you have as much faith [and/or enthusiasm] about the game [and/or company] as you did before launch?
No.

12) Do you reasonably expect [many of] your primary concerns to be addressed in early 2013?
No. To me they seem very out of touch, they said they would lower the grind for ascended items, they changed the skill points from 50 down to 5. No one hand a problem with the skill points, it was about the 250 ectos needed. Out of touch.

Sorry, my above post was indeed very hasty.

The next step would be to create a list of all the random boss encounters in high level dungeons. I would imagine there would be roughly the same amount of random bosses in each dungeon and perhaps Arah would have a few more since it is considered the last dungeon.

The only other thing I can add is that some DE bosses have a timer (say 20mins to defeat it). Could there be a high lvl DE boss out there that spawns maybe once every 2-4hours and only stays 10-20mins? Perhaps somewhere out in the waters of Orr?
Would that also be a ‘rare’ boss?

Edit: Since Orr does lack a dragon perhaps there is something out there that fills a similar role but on a much smaller scale?

There are two elements in the above text of note. The first being, that they do not detect anything unintended in their loot system. They are ‘continuing’ to run data – so they have been checking the numbers and nothing has jumped out at them. The timing of this post tells me they have finished collecting and running data and found themselves confident enough to answer.

The second element is about them opening another thread. Why? Nothing in her post indicates to me that it will even be read. We can only give anecdotal evidence anyway which is of no importance when they have all the numbers and data they could ever need. This move is more to show people they are doing something(anything).

What can be deduced from this is that nothing is going to be ‘fixed’.

It is my personal view that the DR system is not working over long spans of time; weeks or months. Or perhaps it is working as intended whereby not only is there an hourly DR there is also a weekly or monthly DR.

Thanks very much. That’s good enough information for me to work with, but i’ll keep the thread open incase any has hands on experience.

I’ve been looking up the Corrupted Sledgehammer and to craft it I need 30 corrupted lodestones and a “Shaman’s etched sledgehammer”.
Now I’ve checked the TP and can see rather a lot of these with different sigils and different lvls.
Does any of that matter or can I use a ‘Shaman’s etched sledgehammer’ with any sigil and any lvl to make it?

I would love this, as I don’t think it makes any difference in PvP.
But as said above there would be a lot of clipping and I’ve also noticed armour’s looked bugged in preview – such as skin textures projected on to pieces of armour. It would take a while to correct but I think the added value from the amount of new armours we could use would justify it.

Last month was the first month that I had actually completed a monthly. I didn’t want to do WvWvW but I went and completed the WvWvW maps and got the 50 kills at the same time. It was something I thought I could actually do from for every monthly from now on.

Edit: Should have read the post above mine before I posted – that guy has the right idea!
I was not pleased when I saw Fractals on the monthly list for this month. I’m currently on lvl 2, I’ve seen all the mini dungeons and have no interest in going back there. If I did want to do it, I’d need to set aside a few hours for completing them and a few hours for getting a group each time I play.

To me the dailies are set out much better. I never have to spare a thought for them – they just get completed while I play, which is a much better system. I don’t think the monthlies should be the same as the dailies in terms of what you are asked to do but instead perhaps there could be ten activities to choose from and you get to pick the 5 that fit your play style – be it, dungeon running, open world monster hunting, karma harvesting, WvWvW castles taken or Spvp matches won.

This would fit the style of the game better and would go with their ‘play the way you want’ selling point.

I am currently on Blacktide server and I have to say I’m sick of people not speaking english. It feels like I’m the only english speaking person at times.

Is there an E.U. Server which is mainly for people from the U.K./Ireland?
(One that’s doing well in wvwvw- I need to finish the maps there)

I’m very concerend about ascended gear and the tredmil that will start, but I feel good questions have covered what I would like to know already, so..

The shop doesn’t have any items I’m interested in buying – when will it be updated? I would be willing to spend money on actual items and not a chance to recive them but at the moment my shopping options are very limited. Will we see a move away from chest and RNG item buys?

A while ago it was said looking for group system was not being worked on – is it in the works now?

There is still no preview for items in the tp – is it in the works now?

The are no items to change character appearance – are they being worked on?

Lastly, how far along are these features and can we expect them before the end of the year?

Ok, it’s gotten to the point where I think I should join a proper guild.
I’m currently in a guild that my friend made; he hasn’t been on in a month so I’m currently the only person in it really.

Looking for a guild that isn’t very serious, pretty casual, mature (I’m 25), English speaking, GMT time zone and Blacktide server (guess I could server hop though). I want to enjoy playing the game while chatting to people – anyone like rugby?

I’m a decent enough player, but I’ve only done one story mode dungeon. So yea I’ll be a total noob in every dungeon for at least the first run. Not really into pvp, I’ve done a bit of WvW to get map completion (still working on it), but it’s not really fun when everyone is invisible.

Lvl 80 Warrior is my ‘main’ and I have pretty much all the other professions at various lvls working on getting them all to 80.

Leave your guild auditions below and I’ll read them tomorrow. Thanks in advance.
