Would it be possible to scale dungeons down for solo play?
I like to play solo most of the time and would enjoy exploring dungeons in a scaled down version for 1 player. Maybe even with a friend instead of a full group of 5.
Rewards at the end? Yes. But not as much as you would with a full party of 5. Maybe like 5 – 10 tokens with a DR in place and some experience / money as well.
Maybe have paths just for solo or mini-parties.
I guess the goal or point I’m trying to get at is appealing to those who would like to run dungeons, but by themselves or with a friend.
Signed here too and a +1 for everyone.
I apologize if this has been brought up in the past
I know as a level 80 or whatever level you are, you have a chance to get equipment for your level even if you are farming level 2 moas.
Would it be a good idea to allow the small chance to get bags of loot for your level as well? Like bags with things you might find in higher level places.
Might be something different during the big boss battles. Take out one of the items from the big chest at the end and replace it with ’ ‘X’ amount of your level’ bags of loot.
Yes / No?
Sadly, the Mossheart transformation does fade after leaving the area. I wish ANet would let it stay (as long as you are in Caledon Forest). It would blend in at the northern part where the world event takes place seeing that there are other mosshearts there
Oh great idea there. I do not know if it works but will try as soon as i get a chance.
…the option to somehow make our own weapon look the way we want it to. Like instead of Salvage kits, we have Dismantle kits which break the weapon down into key parts. Then go to the mystic forge or crafting table to craft your own personal weapon.
Like, get a hilt for a greatsword that looks good, stick a Sylvari glass blade into while giving it a fire burning animation. IDK, a mix it up type system.
What about the legendaries? – This system would be for those who can’t afford / don’t have time to grind legendaries. This system could also be used on legendary weapons as well.
I’m not sure where I’m going with this, but would this sound like anything useful to the game? I’m aiming more towards the no money / no time crowd. Which is where I’m at :P
Server : Black Gate (If anyone is on that server to try this)
I had an idea for a challenge. Get a large group of players and go to Danador’s Kennel in Caledon Forest to turn yourself into a hound. This works even after you have completed the heart.
After you turn yourself into a hound, teleport to waypoint [Falias Thorp Waypoint]
The Fern Hound effect says it’s fading away, but it doesn’t. (ANet, don’t remove this please, I have fun with it)
Now, with the large group of players… i mean fern hounds, start the Battle for Wychmire Swamp event by talking to Gamarien.
The challenge is to do the whole event while transformed into fern hounds and have someone record it for YouTube. If successful, I’m pretty sure it would make it to the GW2 facebook page :P
I just think it would be a little funny to see a bunch of fern hounds overrunning the Giant Wurm at the end of the chain event xD
Just a thought. Would you like to do this?
P.S. It sucks when you are downed that you transform back to your normal person
Lvl 80 – Pink Moa is my mostly used lately. He goes good with my greatsword (5) skill. It’s like a double Daze that helps get an advantage in a 1v1 fight.
This gets my adrenaline pumpin’ during battle! Also done by Jeremy Soule
(I have more hours listening to that soundtrack on my way to work and back than playing the game :P )

I was wondering if the female characters could get their own dance. Or would this just be a stupid thing to suggest? I’m sorry if I offend you with my stupid ideas, but this popped into my head last night at work.
I was wanting the female human dance to be Elliot Reid’s “I Told You So” dance from the TV show ‘Scrubs’… preferably from Season 8 Episode 12 at the 14 minute mark.
Once again, sorry for the stupid idea.. just wanted to get it out of my head.
Any of you other guys / girls would like female characters to have their own /dance?
Maybe you should think about doing them differently so ALL players get a chance to enjoy them.
This gave me an idea for these one-time events. Could there be a way to start these one time events (cinematics, etc etc) at different parts of the day to accommodate different parts of the world’s concurrency?
Start US’s event at this high peak login time, then start EU’s high peak login time, etc etc.
This way, EVERYONE (or most) can enjoy the one-time event and those who stick around to repeat it can do so if they want but won’t be rewarded any bonus items that come with the event since they participated in it before (Maybe have an achievement or something keep information that lets the game know they already have participated and can’t receive the unique items)
Sorry for just typing a bunch of stuff here, I just hope it makes sense.
When I first heard Forgal Kernsson speak, I knew I heard something in that voice that made me flashback to the good old days of Metal Gear Solid.. so I checked and sure enough, my guessing was correct in that it is the same voice actor.
Are there any voice actor in this game that you guys really like / or didn’t realize was in this game like me above?
The 2 I have used the most were the Jotun Greatsword (the one that pours out snow mists when in attack mode) and the one I’m using now is the level 80 Sylvari Cultural GS for my Sylvari ranger ( I like the hilt with it’s vines and the glass shard that acts as the blade part)
I didn’t know there was something written on the bell, interesting

ArenaNet, gotta say this was an awesome experience to go up the Clock Tower with one of your guys! Here is one of the pics from that moment!

As Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes comic strip) once quoted his dad saying:
“Dad says the anticipation of having something is often more fun than actually having it. I think he’s crazy. I hate waiting for things. I like to have everything immediately. I can’t think of anything I’d rather anticipate than have right away. Can you?”
Did the anticipation consume you too much? It does that to me alot lol. But GW2 is still alot of fun to me, personally.
Who is that guy on the Malchor’s Leap (and Cursed Shore) loading screen? He looks cool. Should he be someone I need to know about as far as lore is concerned?
Mystic Legends is meant for inviting those who are on the long journey to making legendary weapons. With this comes a big social guild to have people to talk to while on such a journey, whether just to talk or help get some materials together. I hope to have this guild make the stress as low as possible when on this journey. If you are interested in joining, please feel free to whisper me. As you can see my name is “BigMoser.8790”.
It is just me and a friend right now, but the more this guild can grow, the more resources that could be poured in for those in need.
When I go to the trading post in Lion’s Arch (near the Mystic Forge), I see there are lots of chairs in the room like it is an Auction House.
Would there be any interest in having an Auction show where players can auction off some nice equipment, or rather you guys (Guild Wars 2 team) auction off special items. This could be like once a week, once every two weeks, etc.
I got this idea (having special auctions) from playing a certain F2P MMO in the past and was just throwing this idea out there. Just for fun :P
P.S. I’m well aware that this will get shot down really fast, but was just throwing the idea out there to see if there were any possible things to do an auction for.
Just throwing this out there:
If the Skritt were an NFL team based off of their city, they’re team name would be called the “Skrittsburgh Stealers”
:)
Ok, going back to playing now.
