To be honest this is disgusting that an employee would go to such an effort to attempt to ruin what is obviously a GvG.
Whether or not GvG belongs in WvW is irrelevant, this is blatant aggression towards a certain part of the Guild Wars 2 community and should not be tolerated.

What did the dev do to ruin it? I saw nothing bad in those pictures, honestly. What did he do to impede your progress?

You’re joking right? You seriously have no idea what is happening in this situation? He is clearly disturbing the peace at an organized event from players in a certain community who were expecting an even fight of X vs X (e.g. 15 vs 15 or 20 vs 20[even numbered fight]). To be honest nothing else in this situation matters other than the fact this employee WENT OUT OF HIS WAY just to disturb this niche part of the population.

It’s more than obvious what his intentions are, this behavior is the type of disgusting filth that moderators on this overly censored forum would delete in seconds.

In a GvG there are rules to follow, these two guilds where trying to fight each other with even numbers and the dev was not allowing it, getting in the middle and interrupting. Blatant disrespect towards the community, and whether or not you like or care for GvG, this type of action from a dev shouldnt be tolerated.

You’ll go on with the 7-week season and by around week 3 and a half you’ll realize just how bad of an idea this was, but there is no turning back at that point. How can you think that having 4 leagues of 6 servers isn’t enough variety? There are 20 different combinations per league, and two matchups a week. For a single server to be able to play every possible matchup, not just every server (because the third server in the matchup does matter and can make a difference), it would be a 10-week league. Not so different from the current 7-week league you have planned and it makes it much more balanced. That said, its up to youon how you want to implement things, I’m just observing a fact that would benefit you both long term and short term.

As for the Bloodlust buff. Please just don’t make it affect combat stats. The stomping idea was really good, but pairng it with combat stats was just unreasonable.There are numerous things that are important in a WvW matchup, and buffing combat stats on players is honestly (and pardon my bluntness) stupid. Buff the speed of capturing keeps/towers/camps x%(*the number of bloodlust buffs), the speed of dolyaks, the damage of guards, the health of keep/tower lords, buff tthe amount of siege dolyaks can carry, decrease the amount of time it takes to upgrade keeps/towers/etc. So many good ideas and you go with the most uncreative and unbalanced of them all. I have faith in you guys and in what made me buy this game in the first place, and I know you can make awsome things happen; but please for the love of whatever is holy, listen to the community from time to time as they have some great ideas and awsome insight since they are the ones playing the game for more hours than you can fathom.

I dislike the realm buff, plus there’s an incredible amount of server lag due to the bloodlust buff refreshing every x amount of time on every player on the map. I like what they made with the map though, the water just cause huge empty space in the middle of the BL, now there are alot more fights around this new area.

Unless they decided gvg will be dead when the BL updates and Bloodlust is implemented and decided to play the T1 game. I’m not stating an opinion about it by the way, just throwing out a possible explanation. Who knows really, and it doesn’t matter either way.

We decided to move because we wanted fights and weren’t getting any good mathups for tha last month or more. This doesn’t mean we won’t do GvGs, we’ll always accept any and all GvG challenges that come our way (although we have been taking a small break, couple of key members were/are on vacation).
Anyway, we had good fights last night in both BG BL and JQ BL, its a relief coming from our last matchus. See you guys on the field

Ok, last thing I’m going to say on this because you don’t seem to get it. TG was running and saw that there were orange swords close to where their group was. The orange sword turn out to be us (qT + NS under the tag NAME, which was already proven to have less than 40 people) fighting Agg + Ark (I think there were som Ark) . So TG decided they wnted to go fight because its WvW, not an official GvG and came in. That does not mean the groups are running together. If You don’t get it past that then you are kittened and I feel sorry for you.

Except right after at quaggan island you did the same thing.

A shout out to [Agg], [qT], and [NS] on CDBL last night during NA. Great fights while [EK] was there, sorry we had to leave the bl early. :P.

We YOQO’d to many times into [Agg]v[qT] or [NS] and wound up getting owned, but we still had fun.

Highlight of the night for us on CDBL: Being able to survive an [Agg] attack at our Gari, and even kill some of them! you guys are hard to kill. Keep the fights coming. Got our first GvG ever with [qT] tonight, can’t wait!

Yeah, we had some fun too. Highlight of the night for us was when [Agg] had a golem at NE tower and we built our own and started having golem fights. That was the most hilarious thing I have seen so far.

Every time someone mentions killing something with larger numbers in DB it includes [Agg] somewhere. So what I’m basically hearing is one guild xferred in and gets kitten done and the rest of you ride on their coattails and/or turn over and die when they aren’t around. Am I missing anything?

I try to make a useful post and people like you simply have to come and keep talking kitten without anything useful other than complaining. Please go hide under your mom’s skirt if you’re going to complain so much. I had forgotten why I don’t use these forums, thanks for reminding me.

I’m just going to say something on behalf of DB to those saying that we can only fight with a larger zerg. Countless times last week while following Aggression [Agg] we (not more than 30, sometimes not even 25 since we didn’t even cross up if we hit worm) clean wiped groups (because a 40 man group is not a zerg ladies, you’ll find out what a zerg is when you see a full queue coming at you) 10-15 men larger than ours. What I’m trying to say is that even if you have a relatively smaller group, you can still come out on top with proper communication.

Also, my guild usually runs havoc of about 10-12 members and we usually wipe groups of about 15-18, so don’t despair unless you are completely and totally outnumbered (2:1 in most cases although its still possible to beat an unorganized group that outnumbers you 2:1).

Anyway, have fun this week and try to make the best of it (set up GvGs with different guilds etc), I know I sure as hell did last week vs BG and JQ.

We learned some new things against JQ and BG last week. Mostly we learned that our server is mostly fairweathers.

i don’t underastand how you can expect anything else with being the new bandwagon server. it has been the case with every other bandwagon server as soon as the easy wins stop the new people don’t show up anymore. why did you think this wasnt the case with db to make this some sort of suprise?

Funny you should say that the new people don’t show up since the new guilds mostly on in their respective time periods: RE, CO, Agg, Omen, and Fire all do their work even when we’re having a bad match so your point is moot.

I for one, would love to fight JQ without BG in the midst. I think DB can be very close to JQ if we don’t have the BG zerg breathing up our necks every single second. Anyway, it was fun, had fun and indeed had some very good fights.

Guild still seems to be missing, sorry if I missed any posts about this, but I thought Anet had found a fix for this. I’m just really saddened by this because I can’t communicate with my guildies unless we’re in a party, and that limits us to only 5 people. Hope this gets fixed :/
