If you are going to commit to upgrading the camp, then you have made a calculated investment which you the investor ( or tactician) need to make a conscious decision to either protect or risk being lost. I spend 2-3 gold per night MINIMUM in WvW, which I do not even expect to retain the benefits from for even 6 hours in Tier 2. Supply camps are some of the most critical and least glorious parts of WvW, but to expect to hold one for any length of time even with a committed effort is a 50/50 proposition at best. At some point you will have to consolidate your forces to make a major assault, it is up to you the commander to make that calculated risk decision.
FYI, it is actually easier and faster to cap camps as a small group without wasting time doing all of this kiting, isolating, etc..
There is far too much “Anet fix this minor (nonexistent) problem” here on the forums. Instead of calling for anet to fix something, try something new, and explore additional options.
You can kill all guards and claimer in a camp in 10-15 seconds with the right small party composition and coordinated effort.
But the glicko system is suppose to provide the most even match ups as possible. It is a good system. Why does it matter? They’re only server names after all. I don’t see why you care if you’re enjoying your matches in t2.
Edit: Quote from Diamond Story / JoshP. from previous post above
What exactly are you trying to say? Are you sure it has any relevance to the rest of the thread? : D
I don’t think you are sure. You’re crying about your tier being the same over x amount of weeks. Basically you’re saying people should stack IoJ so then they dominate t2 so they can get a huge rating spike and jump to t1. My post has plenty of relevance, don’t be mad scrub.
Not sure if failed attempt of trolling or just a straight up dopey kitten.
I know exactly what I am trying to say and have illustrated it clearly.
If you read the entire thread you can see that I in fact am just suggesting that players migrate to one or all of the T2 servers while obviously advertising for my own in the process. It’s understandable that you being from SoS, the last thing you would want to see is a server with not just the coverage to match you, but the organization and skill, so I can understand why you might be threatened by this thread. You are welcome to come on down, transfer to SoR or BG and look for the FIST tag. I am making a few videos and I am sure if you look for me I can get you a cameo.

This is the situation at the moment, to be up front and honest, with no thin skins. T2 has great fights, but it is far from balanced. The only tier which is balanced is T1.
The ideal situation would be to have the WvW community all on 6 servers, with rotating matchups and no tiers(PvP servers anyone? ), and PVE servers organized into a different server match up pool for WvW. However, I do not see any indication of action on the part of Arenanet to implement such a simple and probably enjoyable plan for the WvW community.
Therefore I urge the WvW community at large to:
A) join IoJ, Blackgate, and SoR, and end the stalemate for a week or two, at which point we will be back to square one
B) transfer off of T1 servers to T2/t3 servers to spice things up
C) Demand for Arenanet to give us dedicated W3 servers where we do not have to compete for population cap with Frosty the Snowman, The Crazy Pumpkin Lord, and god knows what else is coming.
I am tired of Anets bizarre match up policies and the tier system, which pleases no one and is only truly applicable to 1/9th of the servers/guilds in GW2, if that.
There is no question that Blackgate or SoR is capable of theoretically making it into T1.
If you look at Sea of Sorrows, and how they achieved success as a team, you can see that all the pieces of a single successful T1 server are in place in Tier 2.
Whether or not we have the wisdom or ability to create something larger out of them is up to us. I certainly did not expect to have everyone jump on a bandwagon at a first shout, but if there are like-minded people and guilds out there, I want them to know there is both the option and the potential for something amazing that exists in the T2 community as a whole, we just have to have the perspective to recognize it.
We will in fact be on different servers recruiting, just like all t1/t2 servers. However, we have no plans to conduct recruiting in team chat during WvW, and any recruiting we do will be very clearly stated in purpose, motivation, and furthermore conducted in private with a reasonable expectation of discretion on both parties involved. I apologize if you took offense to our private discussion which was conducted in whispers, it seemed cordial enough at the time.
Shout out to PtX ( Pain Train) from Armored FIST btw, keep fighting the good fight!
TC is invited to come on up whenever they are ready, The Fort Aspenwood guys don’t seem too keen let you though. The sad facts of the matter is that consolidation is the key to both survival and success in WvW. If any guilds on any server are willing to come to IoJ , leave egos at the door, and work together to achieve a common goal then please feel welcome, server transfers are open!
We have a common goal, we have a common focus, and we have proven our quality to each other in 6 weeks of very tough fighting. If there is a group of WvW players who are able to dominate tier 1, I am pretty sure it can be found in the guilds of these 3 servers.
I started the Janthir initiative in order to unite the NA block of IOJ. Immediately after we integrated and began working together, planning, and executing as a team, we saw posts from SoR and Blackgate asking where all the new transfers to IOJ came from. The real answer is there were none, we actually lost MANY guilds over the course of the 6 weeks.
In tier 2 and in many other tiers there is stagnation. The way the glicko system is designed actually favors IOJ more than the other 2 servers in t2 to be able to make the jump to T1 quickly. Please consider that for a moment.
Janthir has a plan and a commitment to excellence and teamwork. I think there is a larger strategy that we can explore. Let’s set up a meeting to pool our common interests and strengths, and lets make our common goals a reality.

You should not cry! blackgate is a tier 1 server that dominates all aspects of wvw, the only thing holding bg back is that silly glicko system, how dare that system fluctuate from 2000 to 1980 every other match cause they cant maintain a large enough lead, after all bg has never lost to ioj or sor so that should be sufficient enough to move them up! lol look in the mirror buddy, bg is not a t1 server the constant close matches should be evidence of that
BG has lost to IoJ. I was there : D
Blrrgh from Armored FIST on IoJ, I just wanted to say that these guys are a solid group, whenever I have seen them in WvW they are really repping our server well, no drama, and great team players.
I think people should be glad they are in this matchup as opposed to completely dead zones, groupings with very bad organization, or in T1 where winning and losing is determined not only by comparison in skill, but in detailed coverage arrangements. Too bad that there is not a magic formula to allow everyone to compete with exact numbers at the same times in order to determine the Overlord Masters of WvW Excellence. Is it not enough to enjoy a good fight?
Ya, his post clearly states that he is not in NA time. Thus, the confusion.
Actually, you guys are the ones doing the “bragging” about night capping when a vast majority of our server is asleep during the “NA primetime”.
It’s only when we log out in which either of those servers can take it, which… omg… is PvDoor. In fact, the only time I’ve seen any of our enemies take our stuff is because we simply weren’t at that location.
Time for bed. I hope to see more TW so I can farm more badges. I hear ascended is coming to WvW soon. Got to get prepared to get a full set. I bet I’ll have enough badges at the end of this week at this rate.
So basically, you are saying that KnT does not play NA primetime…. and that you are outnumbered when you are on? Also, it seems you are claiming that you have not lost anything to either either of your opponents in your time block. And your server has no NA coverage?
As a dedicated IoJ WvW player, you must forgive me if I find this post to be a little confusing. ; D
To add a few items of note to Siphaawal’s post
- We currently have a limit of 75 Members in our community. We believe in quality over quantity, and this has served us well in WvW thus far.
- Our GW2 division is a part of the online gaming community, Armoredfist.net
- Founding member of the JANTHIR Alliance on the Isle of Janthir Server, where we work closely with our friends and allies.
Armored FIST is committed to the long view of GW2 WvW and our community in general holds the opinion that each fight is its own reward, each challenge something for us to enjoy as a team.
We are currently recruiting 5 new members to integrate into our WvW combat team. Knowing your class inside and out is great, but we are willing to work with anyone with the desire to fight and win in WvW and have fun doing it.

No one has transferred to IoJ. This month has literally been the weakest we have ever been by far. So, in that regard, Blackgate has had a taste of a stronger IoJ before (remember?) and SoR hasn’t seen it yet. If we get back to that shape, this would be the best matchup in the game if it isn’t already. I hate to say it, but all 3 of the servers in T2 belong in T2, not T1 atm. With PRX going to Seafarers Rest things might or might not get shaken up. We shall see.
Hello all,
The guilds that have been associated with the Janthir initiative have met and agreed to work together to improve our capabilities as a server in the North American primetime. As we grow we will expand our coverage as necessary to include interested parties from all timezones. We are first and foremost an alliance for the Isle of Janthir server, we are here to stay and fight for the great community that is IoJ.
We will raid together officially Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8PM EST onwards, while still maintaining a daily WvW effort for those who wish to participate. While we have decided to formalize our loose affiliation and to make JANTHIR an alliance, we are remaining committed to leaving it open for the community at large to join us in WvW.
There are a few items of note.
- We will still participate and coordinate with all IoJ guilds, and support the IoJ Coalition of Guilds. JANTHIR will continue to support the use of IoJ TS3 server as a tool for organizing WvW at large. If anyone wishes to coordinate with us, we will be available as always in the proper BL channel with one or more representatives.
-We will be supporting sPvP competition outside of WvW. We will be hosting tournaments inside the Alliance and at large for the community.
-JANTHIR is actively seeking Pacific NA WvW guilds who wish to contribute and participate in our coordinated WvW effort, and who are capable of committing to a long term, permanent effort within the Isle of Janthir community.
See you on the battlefield!
-JANTHIR

Supply Yaks that you can escort and then deploy to build small fortifications
(Roadblocks, Palisades) anywhere on the maps. They can be destroyed and repaired in sections. Pavises or mantlets and assault ladders for infantry assaults (show the engineers some love here.) Covered Rams and custom guild rams which can gain xp and leveled abilities, and be disassembled and reused. Hired Mercenaries available for teams with outmanned buff. Allow people to que at random for any map on any server with outmanned buff, make a mercenary reward system for this based on captures, defenses, kills (this is GUILD Wars right?). In the same context make an allegiance reward system to reward server loyalty in WvW. Could go on and on with this.
The problem is that WvW is a 24 hour a day fight, and belittling WvW players by calling them lazy does not even come close to the truth of the guys out there fighting for their server for hours on end. The longest raid grind in history cannot even come close to the amount of time necessary to win at WvW. To not give WvW players access to the same quality gear for the massive amounts of gold, blueprints, and time they have infused into the game is beyond understanding. To ask them to leave WvW to grind dungeons makes no sense whatsoever for anyone who understands WvW and how every minute and every player on a map counts.
I have karma and badges out the wazooo and no where to spend them. Would I like to get amazing loot for a 2 hour investment? ( Lost Shores one time only) HELL YES! Would I like to get amazing loot for a 400 hour investment? TAKE A WILD GUESS!
Janthir [JAN] Public WvW Guild
Hello Isle of Janthir
Blrrgh from Armored FIST here.
I am starting a guild open to all WvW members on IoJ as a secondary guild for WvW. The purpose is to consolidate and organize our WvW community who do not belong to large guilds, belong to a PVE focused guild but enjoy WvW, or play during off peak hours, basically anything which leaves some of our community stranded as “pugs”. I invite and encourage any and all of our WvW commanders to join the guild as officers, and for any WvW guild to feel free to recruit from within this guild.
Commanders will have the ability to invite members, remove members, and claim territory etc. I will function as the admin to que guild upgrades, Commanders will be able to manage the guild bank and trove as they see fit.
I ask that any potential members please use the guild chat responsibly, and that it be used strictly for WvW purposes.
Janthir will also coordinate through isleofjanthir.net and Janthir.enjin.com
Mission Statement
Janthir [JAN]
Janthir is an open WvW-focused guild intending to provide a measure of coordination and communication to those who, through choice or circumstance, lack a guild with a WvW focus. Whether unguilded, devoted to a PvE focused or small guild, or lacking the playtime to commit to a more hardcore WvW guild, Janthir provides a means for those seeking to contribute more than they would be able to just joining solo.
How Do We Help?
There is no doubt that IoJ is home to a very diverse group of players. We have many different guilds, and see many of them driving our WvW efforts. Through the efforts of these guilds and their leaders, as well as community building efforts such as this site itself, we have already established ourselves as a server that can compete in the top tier.
Janthir seeks to supplement these efforts. By using the multiple guild feature, we seek to be a second or WvW guild for individuals, and serve as an intermediary guild for communications between WvW guilds, by embedding some of their officers in Janthir as well. By filling in the cracks between our established WvW guilds, we can help provide a united front, regardless of which guild tag we wear.
Effective Irregulars
If our WvW guilds are IoJ’s professional soldiers, then Janthir will be it’s organized and dedicated Militia. By bringing our unaffiliated WvWer’s together, we will make a more capable and powerful “zerg”, which will help us in several ways. Our individual members will be able to contribute and aid more as part of the whole. IoJ’s dedicated WvW guilds can divert attention to other tactical assaults without worrying that the main push will fall apart without their leadership. And we will establish a way into the server’s WvW community that allows interested players to develop the coordination and experience needed.
Alliance Communications
We encourage our other guilds on the server to send a couple members to us as well. With the multi-guilding system in place, we can gladly serve as a way to communicate between anyone invested in WvW, regardless of other guild affiliations or map locations. In this capacity, we can be the ideal place for a call to arms, allowing guilds to supplement their forces with people who know how to follow orders and work together. Guilds would also have a place to find new recruits who have shown a dedication to our server and have experience functioning with the server’s groups. As we intend to benefit the server as a whole and the unaffiliated, we would encourage guilds to actively recruit from us.
So What Does Janthir Need?
At this time, what we need is buy in from other guilds, and recruits. If your guild has interested parties but isn’t recruiting, send them our way. Have a couple officers join as well, to open up communications. Encourage people new to WvW to look us up. If you’re not a member of any of IoJ’s WvW guilds, but still stay informed on our server’s WvW progress, you’re our ideal member. If you’re already in a WvW guild, but want to help organize the community, you’re welcome as well. We want to improve WvW for our playerbase in general, so we need the playerbase’s support.
Contact the following in game if you feel that you would like to support this initiative.

Special thanks to Quixotic from Southern Cross, who was able to put my incoherent ramblings into a great mission statement.
You can see why WM is successful in WvW, good ideas, good leadership, and good attitudes translate across language.
IoJ actually does have experience fighting t1 servers, as we were forced to fight them week after week as the 5th ranked server, the “gatekeeper” in t2. We have better coverage now so it should be a good fight.
The amount of doom and gloom coming from this thread do not reflect the community of IoJ. This is the first week I have seen this type of behavior in our forums, purposeless predictions which seem designed to sow discord among the IoJ community, sour grapes predictions from other failed communities ( btw, losing for one or two weeks is no big deal, wvw is there 24/7).
The sad veiled insults, the negative, woe is me attitudes…. not the majority of IoJ. To broadly paint the positive and laissez faire attitudes of the majority of our community as naive is detrimental to the game and adds no value whatsoever to discussion or solving problems. Lets cross these bridges when the time comes, not because we are whipped into a frenzy by shady voices with obvious scorn for Isle of Janthir. We have people posting in this thread saying how it is pointless to post here…and continue posting while ultimately saying nothing of worth, hoping to cause what mischief they can.
Still have a few days. Get off the boards and try to actually impact WvW. It’s what IoJ is doing, I assure you. ; D
I’m sorry….. bit too protective of my adopted Oceanics I guess! lol!
So much ignorance I just read.
I can’t fathom how some people honestly believe server transfers aren’t causing these one-sided three way fights.
IoJ apparently having a bloated ego thinking the latest round of server transfers aren’t inflating their worth. (you guys sure were dominating the first two days >_>;)
Seeing outnumbered buffs during prime time and hearing people say ‘it doesn’t matter because of the cap’.
Be afraid IoJ. Unless Anet locks down on the transfer situation… like this week, you’re doomed with no hope. The curse has fallen upon you and for that you have my pity.
Not worried about IoJ. The community on IoJ was strong enough before our recent transfers to make it this far, even if we lose the players we have picked up we will still keep queing up and competing for WvW even when we are down. Even in the worst case scenario we are in a win/win situation. We rise to the top and the scary curse of Tier 1 befalls us… we are back to where we started….which is the borderline of tier1/tier 2 and then we have good que times and pretty competitive and fun peak times. I know my guild isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and the same goes for most of the server. It isn’t inflated egos….the vast majority of our server never even posts on the forums here, at gw2 guru etc. Before this week people with coverage advantage claimed we were unskilled, now we are egotists who are doomed because we have the same advantage others had… who knows what will be next. Imo opinion this week is the reward for our perseverance as a SERVER…. not as individual guilds. IoJ has been different all along because of that. No guild drama, just decent people working together more often than not.
Isle of Janthir, I salute you as a community. Even if this is as far as we go, it was well worth the ride.

Props to WM for keeping WvW alive for CD in IoJ BL….. been there and know how it feels in this situation.

IoJ has been playing at the same level for a few weeks now. Only thing that has changed is that we now have coverage of our former weak spots. To be honest it was more fun playing when we didn’t have coverage because there were objectives to take before, and now WvW is boring, with the exception of roaming PvP. I would like to say I have sympathy for ET, only problem is the arrogance they and other servers have shown us in the past, is now moot because we have proven that with coverage of our blind spots we have shown that our WvW was just fine all along. It is nice to actually have defenders on to hold what we take everyday, and not have to rebuild from scratch every time we log back in. Good job IoJ, don’t let the haters get you down.
Assuming the servers could be set up to compete, who would prevail, and what would the 3rd server for a best competitive matchup be?
We came into this week with many naysayers claiming we would be steamrolled. You who were there in WvW, saw what we are capable of when we work together. There was a great effort by many guilds, over all time zones, and the best part was that we kept on fighting. Every day we came back to find the map green, and we went out and took it back…… every ……single…..day. IoJ, I salute you! Looking forward to our continued progress as a server with a great group of people, and a great WvW community.

This was bound to happen. WvW will continue. No need to for anyone to praise or chastise Titan Alliance, they can think whatever they want. Thread should be closed, the OP made his statement and now it has degenerated into name calling or fawning depending on the poster. Good luck all, but Isle of Janthir is on its way to the top!
Give organized WvW a try. It can be very challenging and rewarding. In fact, I would suggest trying to do WvW on a server like Kaineng or Devona’s Rest. This post is not made in sarcasm btw.
I can’t join this guild as I am already in one, but I can say that I have grouped with Jones and spent some time in WvW with him on Devona’s and I approve this message! : D Good luck in WvW, give them the sugary fist!
Fubuki strikes again. Every time I start to take myself too seriously in this game I go and read one of his posts. If i could have an alt character on another server it would be on Kaineng for sure.

change “camping” to “smartly defending a supply camp”. It is not like we are spawn camping etc. And while we like to see you guys getting organized it is in our best interest to hold SM in order to have a better chance to keep it our of Borlis or insert 3rd servers hands. At this point we are better equpped to 1 v1 with Borlis than you guys are at Stonemist. However if you guys keep growing and improving at the same rate, who knows?
Plus Kaineng is fun and has fun people in it who are active, and I think if we were together a mutant superbeast of domination and fun would be spawned.
Last night every 5 minutes there was a 20+ man DR group attacking our pangloss side of the map, and there was at least 10 FIST among them every time, this went on for hours…so of course after the first assault or 2 we strike back into ogres and umberglade etc.
I was one of the biggest “comon, lets leave them alone and go to NSP’s side” guys, but now I’m disillusioned and idgaf anymore.
Umberglade is DR supply section, so us taking it is in our best interest to be able to hold off Borlis or insert 3rd opponent here.
All that being said above, I do not claim to be speaking for all of DR, just the part of DR that in my opinion sees the value of trying to win, ex. taking out the behemoth servers we get matched against.
Compliment accepted by FIST. We make a little seem like a whole lot, and every time I hear about a FIST “zerg” it is like I just heard an inside joke. The fact is we show up at most fights with a 2 to 1 disadvantage at least. Simply put, we don’t have time to camp as there are a ton of fights going on all over the map that we are needed at. We are just very coordinated and fast. However, I do not think we are as bad as you make us out to be, and we definitely don’t focus on Kaineng. What you saw was us defending Bravost aggressively. While we were “camping” the ogre camp we were actually fighting you guys on one side and Borlis on the other. From reset until around midnight we owned Borliss camps and towers or were fighting on them with most of our strength so I don’t know when you saw us "never attacking or owning Borliss territory. No one here is pretending that we want you guys to win (over us, obviously we would prefer to see you guys beat the Big Scary Servers), WE want to win, but it is hardly as you described it and my above points still stand. If it was not for FIST you guys would be looking at quite a few other red tags pouring into your zone. Whether you chose to acknowledge it or not. So please refrain from painting us as the evil bogeymen. On guild off peak hours we might have a few peeps just playing WvW randomly, but it doesn’t reflect our attitude and we definitely don’t need to (AND DO NOT) choose a “weaker” target if that is what you wish to portray yourself as. (<——not my opinion, like I said before it is nice to see you guys getting organized and our TS actually talked about your server cap of SM for about 15 minutes, and the general feeling was that of " Good Job Kaineng!" ) Fubuki I address this to you as you are generally the most vocal, mostly fair minded, and FUN member of Kaineng on the forums, and I definitely don’t want to see anything other than a friendly rivalry going on.
(edited by Blrrgh.6908)
Obviously, no matter what world you are or how good you are, the other worlds in WvWvW fighting each other is going to affect how everything works out. So in that regard Devona’s Rest did help us by fighting elsewhere while we capped SM.
However saying that you helped us, like you knew what we were planning and your whole server would have agreed with your way of thinking is a little much.
Last night I transferred to Kaineng and joined WvWvW and the first thing I noticed was how organized they could be without bickering like little children. In my last world, I did not want to WvWvW because you would see small groups of 4 or 5 people just wandering around picking off lone players not really helping, and someone in chat would just sit there insulting them…
In Kaineng, they would simply say a place needed help and people went there. If someone didn’t go, they didn’t waste time yelling at them. They may occasionally ask for more help but they weren’t going to start a pointless fight about it.
Also because of this attitude a couple of players REALLY out did themselves fortifying Cliffside, the last stand of Kaineng, last night. With everything else gone, and a massive defense set up, we managed to hold out against both worlds trying to take the tower.
We eventually lost the tower, but not without a fight and a lot of rather amusing LotR quotes about helms deep, Gandalf coming on the third day, and you shall not pass!
tl;dr: Kaineng is what WvWvW should be… organized fun without drama
Well I have posted before that I enjoy the attitude of Kaineng’s players who post here, and there is nothing wrong with being proud of your achievements. My point still stands, DR often bears the brunt of the assaults in EB. We held SM from reset until you guys capped, while under attack from Borliss and Kaineng.. We killed numerous Borliss assaults headed up north into your area before they even got there. These are things that you guys don’t see. So while everyone is patting each other on the back, don’t forget that the enemy of your enemy is often your ally. In EB we are literally a shield that blocks (and wipes) many of the strikes headed your way, whether we like it or not. Remember that we are also small and doing this while holding our own points and assaulting the Big Faction requires a LOT of coordination and effort. Keeping you guys in the fight is in our interest, so do not underestimate our ability to watch your movements , anticipate your actions, or aid you when you don’t even know it is going on. My reply above was to refute the insinuation that DR “goes after a weaker target” when it is simply not true in the organized part of our WvWvW effort.
The Orbs are a reward for winning on a balanced WvWvW matchup. On an unbalanced matchup they contribute to a slippery slopw where coming back is more difficult, facing the orb buff, superior numbers, and limited resources. I can see how they are intended to function but sometimes they don’t work out that way. ; D
Another good technique is to fight with a team of the same people as much as possible. You will get to know their playstyle and then you will be more effective in open team fights.
Kaineng, I have been watching you guys for some time, since we are matched with you constantly, being the two smallest servers. We face many of the same challenges you guys face, and with a much less united community. Devona’s Rest and FIST in particular has left you alone for the vast majority of the fights in the MISTs, becuase it is a pointless exercise when you have the massive zergs from NSP etc. to constantly fend off.
I am a little irked at some of these posts because what we see often is when we push on our larger 3rd opponent we have to go and back cap from Kaineng. We don’t " try to take the easy resources "
We were excited to see you guys cap SM last night, much like one is proud of their annoying little brother when he finally does something right. but to be honest seeing you crow about it here and giving no credit to your de facto allies on Devona’s Rest is a little irritating. Especially considering that we kept them contained and bled all night, which set the scenario for you guys to cap SM and other parts of the map. Show some love to the other little server.
The “night capping” situation keeps being presented as a problem because “there is nothing the prime time players can do about their gains being lost”. But the people pushing this side of the argument totally ignore the other side of the coin. What about the servers with relatively strong off peak teams who lose all their gains during prime time? Is it their fault that the prime time players aren’t organised or just plain not interested?
The simple fact is that the ranking system will fix most of the balance issues given time.
I think prime time is best defined by the servers most populated and active time period. If you are losing all of your gains during prime time then then the server is relatively healthily balanced as there is a tug of war occurring, which I think is the intended mechanic for WvWvW.
Not quite my point. I was trying to point out that the “night capping” perspective is very one sided. Which is why the vast majority of “solutions” put forward in this forum all suggest punishing off peak players in some way.
I actually agree with you, the solution is in server balance. The only problem is that it is ultimately the choice of the players and guilds to balance the servers, and that is unrealistic for several reasons. Some people want to stay where they are because they are established, fair enough. Others want to be carried or to play on “elite” servers. Some people just want easy points. Some people don’t care about WvW at all. The ultimate result is going to be failure of WvW if the issue is not resolved in a way that makes sense for all. This has happened before in numerous games and it would be a shame if it happened to GW2.
Devonas Rest Wants YOU! Armored FIST looking for Oceanic/EU Region Players/guilds
in Guilds
Posted by: Blrrgh.6908
We are currently recruiting for WvW focused members on Devonas Rest. If our guild is not for you, don’t worry, there is plenty of room here for everyone during off peak!
I strongly encourage you to join a very strong WvW server where the only limitations to success are population and time. We have consistently dominated our WvW map in all Borderlands and EB while being hugely outnumbered, however we do tend to lose any gains due to our low population and the fact that we do not yet have a 24 hour a day presence in WvW. We regularly beat multiple zergs with very small teams of between 10-20 players. We want to regularly beat larger servers with our guild.
Pros:
No or limited que time for WvW.
Solid Leadership
Well organized WvW and SPvP elements
Membership has both US and EU presence
Dungeon Crawls and other events outside of WvW.
Competition team and Community team which actively work together
Desire to build a top WvW server from the ground up.
Knowledgeable player base in all areas – WvW, PvE, Crafting
Small Guild (128 members excluding trial members)
Cons:
We have nightcapping problems at the moment due to low off peak population.
Please consider if this team and situation is right for you and your friends.
Happy Hunting!

Devonas Rest and Kaineng are good choices and if you are EU or Oceanic players/guilds we want you here even more. The US prime time is covered pretty well.
