It does actually have a wp that spawns when you start to fight the final boss on some of the paths. Its right near the start though and the final boss fights are so easy that its still completely useless. Really curious as to what the designers were thinking re waypoints in dungeons. Quite strange how randomly they are used.

Um, no offence but I’m completely agreeing with you. Its very strange and the only reason I can think of is that AC was done earlier than other dungeons and is more polished. You seem quite angry about it, and me for some reason, first time Ive ever been called a troll for politely agreeing with someone before P

Inflated gold, people who are rich get richer. People who are not rich get very little out of it.

Precursor farmers can basically put their gold in, wait two months, and make more than anyone can farm.

It can be easily solved by adding a maximum value.

Introduction:

Guild Wars 2 has a “Deposit”, a place in the bank, where you can deposit money.
My idea is to add a “Investment” window, a place where you can invest your money.

How does it work:

You go in the bank, add an investment at the investment window.
You can not add/remove it for a week. (You can, but you must pay a tax)
After that week, the bank will pay you, for your investiment, a “Interest Rate” over the money you had invested.

For Example:

You invest 1 gold;
Let’s say, the Interest Rate is a constant value of 10%;
After a week since you invested, you will have 1 gold and 10 silver.

Looks a small amount, but if anyone invest high, like, 100 gold. After a week he will have 101 gold.

Why add this?

I think it is a good way to reward people that can’t play, very much, during the weeks.
Once you have to pay other taxes like, Trading Post’s tax, all waypoints, armor.
It would help everyone.

How ridiculous is it to not have gotten a single shell to drop off of a Karka.

If you want to make a point, try not to overdo it so it becomes unbelievable.

I went and killed some Karka for about 30 minutes. Well over 10 shells and a few T6 blood. Hardly “nothing”. My guess is most people freak out if they kill 2 mobs in a row without a drop so they come and scream on the forums.

Don’t be so “evil”

Drop rate is really, really hard to talk about, because its only based on “luck” (or exploit).

You can get a “Dust” by mixing 4 exotics just one time, or “waste” hundred and don’t get it.


For others, let’s try to keep a nice and smart conversation.
Try to make a point by posting something you agree/disagree with.

2- Unfair sPvP, dead tPvP and useless Heart of the Mists:

sPvP: It is unskilled and boring. If you know how to play, you will be a hunter, if you don’t, you will be a prey, simple as that.

Sorry, what? First you say it’s “unskilled” ( I take it as a “not based on skill” ), then you say that those who know how to play ( skilled players ) win over those who don’t (unskilled), which is exactly the definition of skill-based pvp.

I meant, someone new (unskilled) has no other way to learn how to play (become skilled) if not by dying or not helping his team.

When will start playing a online game, most of games, you start playing with people who, like you, are starting. Them, based on a mechanic, you will be scaled to play with better people as better you get.

Guild Wars 2 is “unskilled” because it has no such mechanic.

For novice people, it is Zergfest, rocks throwing at downstate, warriors and guardians killing, engineers and elementalists dying.

Top 10 Main problems of Guild Wars 2

1- Player loading delay:

It happens when many people/NPCs are being loaded. Most likely at WvW, Lost Shores, Claw of jormag, Tequatl the Sunless, The Shatterer events or any other place with many people together. Also after stealth skills.

2- Unfair sPvP, dead tPvP and useless Heart of the Mists:

sPvP: It is unskilled and boring. If you know how to play, you will be a hunter, if you don’t, you will be a prey, simple as that.
tPvP: It take ages to find another team to fight against.
HotM: Useless training zone if you can’t 1v1 with someone to learn the basics with a human, not a silly NPC.

3- Dungeons:

Story mode is getting pointless (already got, maybe), hundred tokens for each piece, for each dungeon. Doing the same thing, over and over again. Day after day.
Lion’s Arch is a LFXM place.

4- Bugs:

Lot’s of bugs everywhere, expecially at 70~80 zones, dungeons, personal quest, Temples at Orr and annoying audio bug (WOOOOHOOOOO…) already reported but not fixed.

5- Griding:

Karma farm, gold farm, tier 6 farm, dungeon farm. Doing the samething, day after day, over and over again.

6- Trading Post:

Many item’s prices are too high other are too low. Game economy is badly balanced.

7- Slow working and no talking from Arenanet:

The whole community wants and must know what are you working on, priorities, new features, release dates (mainly).

8- Empty PvE zones:

Some zones are empty of players, some events can not be done. It’s time to full-fill a map merging servers, trying to keep it always full.

9- Melee Combat (PvE):

Melee combat was really improved since BW1, but it still a bit far from good. It does not worth melee on some bosses. Hitting somethings on the game still “missing” at melee.

10- No tools:

Looking for group tool;
Voice chat tool;
Guild seeking/looking tool;
PvP looking for group tool;
Ladder system (PvP);
Global Event warning;
A better loot system for WvWvW

I think the game wasn’t ready for a trial yet…

You know, in the WvW how long it take to load foes, sometimes, it didn’t load them.

Same happened at the weekend event, mobs were just invisible, they were loaded after you die.

Same happens every day, even at sPvP with stealth skills, it takes about 2 seconds to load a foe who was stealth.

The server needs a really hard improvement.

this sounds like a matching making system. would be great for fractals.

That’s the idea,

But I still worried about two things:

People who are not 80 are getting more and more not “welcome” to do their own level dungeons.

Since dungeons seem to be the new “focus” of the game and Orr karma was deeply nerfed, it got really empty and hard to find enough people to run group events or the temple ones.

AC, TA and CoF are not that bad to find people on my server.

But other like SE, CoE, CM, HotW and Arah are really, really hard.

I’d say finding story mode for those are most likely impossible.

My server doesn’t get Arah’s gate since Friday (or before it).

My point, which is the main problem now a days is:

Some dungeons have not enough people to do it. Joining all servers into a “looking system” would help that.

This system as I said would not become a “WoW dungeon system (…)” because it only would group people up. No teleport, no ready/cancel, no party leader, etc.

Now this new “DLC” came out I realise that Orr is really dead, there aren’t people even to take the gates of Arah, which is pretty shameful.

I would not say we need this system (yet) to gruop people up for Orr temples, but a world wide “New Event Nearby” spamming would be helpful. As well NPCs from Lion’s or other places coming at you and saying “Hey we need your help, Orr is a mess …”

Orr is the ultimate late game in Guild Wars 2 and seeing Orr dominated by risen should affect all world.

Ya, I think it would be so helpful to not have to sit in LA and spam LFG. Or next to the dungeon and spam LFG.

Also, you know there are tons of other people on other servers doing the same.
That is why I thought a website you could jump on, and post that you are looking for a group would be easy.
Just invite them no matter what server you are on, and you should be able to join up in the dungeon.

I totally agree with that.
I hope a Arenanet employee leave us a feedback about it.

If it was me, the only thing I would change is to trash the idea and make a new one.

Just put more solo mini-games in LA that doesn’t require me to go into another instance. This way, Waiting will be much more fun.

Why is it bad? telling something is bad without making a valid point makes you trash.

Why solo mini-games would help to group up people? And wait for what?

Hello everyone,

My idea is to add a mechanism to the game that automatically group up people with the same wills. Something like that:

1- Choose your dungeon:
( ) AC ( ) CM ( ) TA ( ) SE …
2- Choose your game mode:
( ) Story ( ) Exploration
( If Exploration: )
2.1- Choose the Path you are willing to do:
( ) 1st Path ( ) 2nd ( ) 3rd
2.2 – Choose how you want to do it:
( ) Rush/fast farming ( ) Casual/fun
3-
( ) Confirm ( ) Cancel

This mechanism would NOT instant teleport people to inside the dungeon, as well as, would NOT auto choose the dungeon, the path, etc.
This is meant only to group up people. Taking them from all Gw2 servers and grouping them up together. After that they can be free to change anything.

I think its a good idea since some servers have no many people doing some dungeons, is really hard to find casual players aswell and really there is no much point going to Lion’s Arch and yelling: LFG XXX, LG2M YYY.

What do you think? Should we have something like that? What would you change here? Leave a clever comment.

One good feature would be add something between Exotics ~ Legendary.

Something to rush for. Hard, but not hard as Legendary

Add a cPvP (Classic PvP) which is not strutured, is based on gear/skill

“Medium size” cPvP maps like 20×20, 30×30, with missions.

PvE gets boring when you finish it. PvP is the a good way to keep people playing and rushing itens is a good way to make people work together.

WvW queue is full every time I’ve tried to get in during prime time on Desolation.

It’s certainly not everyone’s problem. Hyperbole gets posts dismissed, not treated seriously.

Desolation is a full population server, just like mine (Crystal Desert – US).

I wish I could play as guest there, but it seems to be an utopia.

You seems to be lucky or Europeans seems to play more.

Hyperbole doesn’t break a post, what does that is people trying to say that OP is wrong without a valid point. (not talking about you)

Maybe is time to join two or three servers together since there is no much to do in the game during the week (most likely morning to afternoon).

Stop playing during off hours. If you can’t, then switch to a EU/US server. Problem solved.

Stop playing during off hours wouldn’t solve the problem, It would just make it worse. That isn’t simple as it seems to be.

This is not “my” problem. Its something you can easily see teleporting around different maps. Its everyone’s problem.

Is REALLY hard to find people to do some dungeons, most places of the game have no players to do group events. World v World is a long away road with not much to do since you need people to do things, and people is not playing or doing something else.

The only thing left should be the sPvP which many people agree being boring.

So, join two servers together would increase the amount of “player per place”, (PvE, dungeons, WvW) and make the game closer to a MMO and not a single player RPG.

I see the sPvP (8v8 Zergfest) as completely broken.

No balance:

Warrior doing a lot damage and can hold a lot damage;
Thief (dagger/X) has only one skill (2) ;
Elementalist has no survivability or do extremely high damage;
Guardian doing a lot damage or tanking really hard. Guardian can really tank, really tough tank. This is a problem because there is no “tanks” in Guild Wars 2, right?;
Mesmer should loses its illusions when goes to downsate;
Ranger low mobility for such small maps as sPvP, should be like Thief’s “Acrobatics” traits;
Necro and eng. are fine;
Downstate is a broken feature at sPvP and is killing the combat.

sPvP should be fun right? I don’t think like that anymore. I have past almost all Beta weekends playing sPvP. Everyone was new at the game, so everyone was “noob” at the begining.

But now, only see pro players killing novice people, say if someone is “pro” or “novice” by glory level isn’t right, for some people, they can reach level 20 on glory but still playing like a level 5 guys. So where is the fun here?

You don’t need to play many matches to see new players, trying to play with “advanced” professions such as Elementalist, engineers, but they have no chance agains’t loads of instant kill combos from warrios and thiefs which are easy professions.

8v8 Zergfest makes everything worst, those small maps shouldn’t be played by 16 people. I don’t even know why you let this happen.

No duel/No private servers

Once I got 80 I ran to get the best items set of the game, once I got it I went to WvW. At the begining was fine, but now… Those two servers I am fighting against and mine has no people fighting, WvW is dead at morning, all week long.

So PvE is complete, there is noone at WvW (At morning), so let’s have some fun at sPvP.

But I can’t do that for while, until you work hard on sPvP.

Arenanet, sPvP is broken (8v8 Zergfest).
I am trying to help you to build the best MMO ever. So work on it, sPvP is the only feature last for people who ended PvE.

Good things that should be improved/added

Keg Brawl is kitten fun, I would expend all day long playing that thing, but it has no reward, seems you are doing, like, nothing in the game. And since you can’t inter into a Lobby like in sPvP you can’t play with friends.

Should have more new stuff like that in the game.

Add more sPvP maps like “Capture the Flag”, “Destroy the base”.

Add Voice chat on Tournaments.

it is created just to let new players learn how the pvp is in this game. if you take 8v8 serious you wrong

I don’t take it serious, I think it is for fun.
And you said its for new players learn how to play. I disagree, I think is where everyone (who knows and who doesn’t know how to play) have some fun, but new players get just mad by those things I said before.

Most new players make a Warrior or a Thief who “don’t” need skills to play, just need to make simple high damage combos.

And as someone said before, hardly ever you will be beat by an Elementalist (I never lost by one).

When you play 8v8 you see most people play as warrior and thief.

I’m not sure if sarcastic or not but I do hope my post didn’t come off as too snippy. Just trying to say that while the rediculous gimmick of BR>EP>FZ>HB can nuke people in zergplay (WvW, hotjoin) in TPvP it’s already become on of the most easily countered gimmicks in the game. Dodge negates the entire build for over a minute at a time (if you don’t just wait the 4 seconds for EP to wear off and nuke his butt down in moments).

Ele may be weak in zergfest for instance but in actual competitive play it’s a very very strong class as people have started mastering it.

No, I mean it. Wasn’t sarcasm.
You have a point tournament things are quit different.
But I’d say tour is a pro thing, is like seriously.
And “Free for all” is for fun.

But this “fun” is not really fun because I created the topic.
Isn’t fun because there are many things to be changed and balanced.

I never said anything about Necromancer vs Warriors and Guardians, I also, said it is well balanced. I meant is not fair he survives so well as he does since other “low health/armor” classes can’t survive (Like him).

“Mobility” would be a good balance, like Guadians without health.

There is no balance there.

What gives the Warrior the right to become imortal for few seconds or to have Quickness the most OP buff in the game?

Isn’t Warrior OP enough?

No class can beat warrior on sPvP. Since the BW1 it stills op and the same silly combo:
Rush + Hundrad blades. Plus that with Quickness and invulnerability. So OP.
Just take a look at his utilities, they are insane. Only awesome utilities and awesome elite skills.

Warrior has the best utility/elite of the game.

Look at the Guardian, ok he has high defence, many healings, high damage but no HP THAT’S a balance.

But Warrior is no way, he has everyting. And everyting is OP. He is better than a Guardian and Thif together since can hold damage as good he does damage.

Why Elementalist doesn’t become imortal for few seconds? No instead of that, he becomes a pretty useless Mist.

Thif is so broken aswell fight with/against a Thif is 222222222 and a victory/death. Very funny.

Its 5 Skills: autotack, 22222, let’s spin around, slow, and become invisible 6 initiatives? Wtf? Why people only hits 22222? because is cheap, 3 initatives is cheap, but 6, 5? It really doesn’t work.

Let’s play Ranger, poor ranger, no armor, not much health, poor pet.A Warrior with rifle. That’s a ranger.

Necromancer... the best tanker of the game (loses only by a Warrior and Guardian), well balanced but not fair his survivability is so high that is unfair if you compare him to Mesmer or Elementalist.

Let’s talk about downstate damage, that is insane.
You have a whole 1v1 fight, you and your foe use everything agains each other, then finaly after a tough fight you manege to down him. OH WAIT the stills alive and does a high damage that takes you down, and the fight keeps going, two down people fighting to survive and then you realise you are Rager fighting agains a Warrior down… you are so dead.

I say the same of Mesmers the most annoying profession. Let’s say you had the same fight as before, then you go downstate, BUT his illusions still up and just finish you like a baby.

What I suggest:

Warrior’s utilities shoud be splitted up for other professions like Elementalist, ranger and Thief.
Warrior should not have invulnerability, quickness and fury. And give then for those who need.

Mesmer’s ilusions should die when he goes to the downstate.

Ranger should have an option to get ride of his pet and focus completely on himself. Should be more builds like that. (Utilits and traits)

Thif needs skills, they are really broken at moment. Pressing 22222 is really sad. Make 3 and 5 (With dagger/dagger) costs less initialites and nerf them.

Elementalits are so weak, the most weak class at moment. Low health, no defence, not good damage.

Guardian is fine, don’t change him.

Engineer aswell.

Downstate should be a survival mode when you lose a fight, It should NOT does damage and not the damage that It is doing at the moment.

I am generally speaking of course, not everyone plays that way I said before.
Since the advertisement of the Arenanet is “Play your way” all ways should be fine. But they aren’t fine right now (Only at sPvP).

There is no balance there.

What gives the Warrior the right to become imortal for few seconds or to have Quickness the best buff in the game?

Isn’t Warrior strong enough?

No class can beat warrior on sPvP, I mean Warrior has High vitality, high toughness, high power. Warrior = Guardian + Thief + Many health.
Just take a look at his utilities, they are insane. Only awesome utilities, awesome elite skills and awesome heal skills.

Warrior has the best utility/elite of the game.

Look at the Guardian, ok he has high defence, many healings, high damage but no HP THAT’S a balance.

Why Elementalist doesn’t become imortal for few seconds? No instead of that, he becomes a pretty useless Mist.

Theif is so broken aswell fight with/against a Thif is 222222222 and a victory/death. Very funny.

Its 5 Skills: autotack, 22222, let’s spin around, slow, and become invisible 6 initiatives? Wtf? Why people only hits 22222? because is cheap, 3 initatives is cheap, but 6, 5? It really doesn’t work.

Let’s play Ranger, poor ranger, no armor, not much health, poor pet.A Warrior with rifle. That’s a ranger.

Necromancer... the best survivability of the game (Loses in survivability only by a Warrior and Guardian), well balanced but not fair his survivability is so high that is unfair if you compare him to Mesmer or Elementalist.

Let’s talk about downstate damage, that is insane and sokitten
You have a whole 1v1 fight, you and your foe use everything agains each other, then finaly after a tough fight you manege to down him. OH WAIT the stills alive and does a high damage that takes you down, and the fight keeps going, two down people fighting to survive and then you realise you are Rager fighting agains a Warrior down… you are so dead.

I say the same of Mesmers the most annoying profession. Let’s say you had the same fight as before, then you go downstate, BUT his illusions still up and just finish you like a baby.

What I suggest:

Warrior’s utilities shoud be splitted up for other professions like Elementalist, ranger and Thief.
Warrior should not have invulnerability, quickness and fury. And give then for those who need.

Mesmer’s ilusions should die when he goes to the downstate.

Ranger should have an option to get ride of his pet and focus completely on himself. Should be more builds like that. (Utilits and traits)

Thif. Initiatives should add countdown to skills like:
10 initiatives = 0 seconds of countdown // 8i = 2s // 6i = 4s // And so on. Also skills 3 and 5 costs 5 and 6 initiatives? Wtf. That’s why? people hardly ever use them.

Since there is no DPS metter or anymode/way to compute, you have to hit, wait, hit and wait…. Critical chance = Hits/critical.

Hi,

I have a question:

Let’s say there is a Trait which says: 10% chance on critical to gain quicknees (Lasts 3 seconds).

Let’s say I put a Sigil of Superior Rage on both weapons which says: 10% chance on critical to gain quicknees (Lasts 3 seconds).

So do I have 10% or 30%, does Trait~Sigil effects accumulate?

Or If I have a Trait that says +20% damage under X conditions and another under Y conditions.

If I have X and Y do I have +40% damage?

Hi,

I recently bought the “Superior Sigil of Accuracy” and applied it on my weapon.
It says that increase the “Critical Chance” by %5, but it didn’t increase my “Critical Chance” at my hero’s stats.
So I don’t really know if it is working or not.

I also overheard people saying many Runes wasn’t working (I haven’t confirmed that) like “Superior Rune of Infiltration”.
