We’re missing a Cleric attribute item too :/ I hope this new fractal patch will fix all those problems and add new items/maps to it…it’s our “endgame content” for now , at least for ppl who dislikes PvP 100%, so i hope they will make it worthwhile.

True…I’ve always felt that this thing is so wrong…yet so much used in games !…During a real combat you build up adrenaline…so it’s a big nonsense that you become slower…you should actually go faster !
During puzzles in wvw this is just so annoying…all they have to do is hit you once with a bow…and then climbing up becomes hella hard…even impossible if you don’t have swiftness…
I would personally remove it…just make the mobs faster if you want to balance…or idk…

Well, right now it’s balanced pvp-wise…and quite useless in pve unless the boss/mob heal (almost none…maybe it ll become more useful later on)
Giving it the effect of deep wounds i think it would be a lil too much, removing something like 20% hp from a boss is quite insane here in gw2 to my eyes…
I approve the bleeding mechanic, but it would just become a second bleeding…making bleeding itself useless (since a poison stack remove two times a bleed one), maybe just increasing is dmg would be better (like 2/3 of a burning dot) or give it some other bonus, like the 33% healing and put that it works like anticoagulant and makes bleeding do a little more xD (sin and necros would love that lol)

There are excuses. They are just all neutralization tactics used to make the offenders appear to be innocent or to shift blame elsewhere.

There are no legitimate excuses. But that won’t stop people from making Anet out to be the villains.

Ah yes, the WHOLE guild should be penalized for what a few did. How very enlightened of you.

I guess I should start asking here as well, see if any of you can come up with a good enough answer.

You honestly believe that exploiting is inexcusable, players’ fault and deserves a perma ban, right? So how about this list:
- Hitting the last seal in fotm with a character skill
- Standing in the safe spot in Arah p3
- Jumping the dredge fractal
- Using EA prior to the fix
- Using stealth in WvWvW to cause perma invisibility due to culling
- Taking shortcut in a JP(from a stone in the middle to special skills that blink you through holes)
- Using a mesmer portal in a JP
- Pulling the champ karka to where it gets “stuck” to pick the ori node safely
- Using various skills to go through walls(WvWvW and dungeons in particular)
Do I have to go on or are you already in the list of people you want to see banned?

-It’s a minor glitch, still a glitch, but they do not want to ban ppl for it since it’s not “game-breaking”
-The safe spot is good if it’s reachable by normal means.
- Any place you shouldn’t go /pass/ etc etc to make the dungeon faster (running not included, since you simply run the lose aggro, passing trough walls, on edges etc yes)
-Taking shortcuts in JP is fair as long as you don’t glitch the textures etc…even the mesmer portal is, since they’re just using mechanics and skills of the class, not all are able to do it, nor influence the game.
- They’re trying to fix that matter about the perma inv since ppl is arguing about it…not that easy since you have to fix it without breaking the stealth mechanic (i would simply add the cooldown even if you don’t hit anyone of put that, like in many other pve missions, you can cap a point anyway with a superior number of ppl in the circle)
-Don’t know about the karka if it’s fair or not, still not game-breaking enough to be worthy of a ban

Please dont De-rail the thread with wanton attacks on other posters about oh "haha " they got banned, oh they " deserved" it etc . Everyone s going to have a different view on the correct course of action.

I made this thread to highlight that the exact same process could already be done with another crafting recipe ( yes ofc it depends on mats prices which ive managed to get cheap enough for the mats to work out, and sat and made 250 pairs of shoulders ). The problem is a question of profit scale it seems as the input mats wre “to cheap” leading to its a exploit.

The problem you “hightlighted” is missing the most important and vital point…that they were BUGGED…after crafting the core jewerl and making the effective jewel…you could recycle it…and…you got the ectos…the mithril…and the already made core part!
That where the bug reside…with the core part back…you just needed to add another hook and ta-da ! another earring ready to recycle…plus ectos ofc…repeat 1000 times → illecit profit.
And THATS why they banned ppl…not for recycling items for ectos…i did that and still do it, and i’m totally fine.
Glitchers and pro- glitching players are just mad they got banned and want to discharge all the fault to Anet for making mistakes (wich is quite understandable since everyone like the monthly patches , but do not like the bugs it may cause since they have no time to test them)

My question is where did i agree that anet can ban me from the game for their mistakes when i purchased the game ? An exploit is usually considered something hard to find and not something obvious to everyone. This is crafting so excuse me if i don’t consider this an exploit. Btw nice job ruining the holly-days for everyone that got banned.

Such behavior frequently includes such things as gaining control of a computer system or allowing privilege escalation or a denial-of-service attack.” I do not see where it must be "hard to find "…and after all it kinda was…who would make an accessory to just recycle it afterward, thus finding the bug. Bet not so much ppl found it that way lol.
And yes, you agreed to that in the Terms and Condition contrat right when you registered…that small tick box…with an hyperlink…THAT NO ONE FRIGGIN READ.
They don’t ban you for their mistakes…they ban you for UTTERLY ABUSING they mistake it’s the difference from making 1 item and making 100-2000 of them.
If you still can’t see the flaw in your thought process then, by all means, please don’t start a career as a policeman, politician,judge and lawyer, thanks

1st of all what is your qa team doing? this is the 3rd time you have banned players because of your bad game design.
2nd i don’t get why players have to pay for your mistakes. Do players have no rights in this game?
3rd Next time you add content maybe take your time 2 check for exploits and stop banning players for playing a game you poorly design and do not test.

4th You actually agreed to the Terms and conditions contract at the begin of the game…when registering…do you remember ? oh yeah…that passage wich said NO FRIGGING HACKING , BOTTING OR GLITCHING WILL BE ALLOWED.
Now stop being a wussy and blaming Anet for doing their work, they’re releasing thing MONTHLY…they don’t have the material time to check and double check everything…and since it’s clarely stated that glitching=wrong and may cause bans ppl have no right at all to complain…
It isn’t their mistake…it’s mistake of the glitchers who like being “oh look, i’m so smart, i check the forums waiting for remunerative bugs and make free money out of them kitteno, i won’t get banned for sure…so let’s make like 300 of them !” and then you get banned…it’s a contract, you can’t break it nor can contest it.
Now grow up and have a good day sir.

T6 Mat prices skyrocket!

Banning bots has caused prices to spike 50-200%, across wide sectors of the economy? That seems implausible. As I look at data from GW2spidy.com, the supply of items hasn’t dropped by much, but the demand is rising. This is something that I would expect as the game matures: more people playing longer have more money and are willing to spend more to buy things that they want.

At seems implausible at first glance…but i think it’s more about how bot worked than the supply/demand thing…
Think about it…they’re bots…they need gold fast and they didn’t make them to work in a smart way…now guess that every time they sell even only one…idk…one scale…they sell this scale…now suppose they put those bots to sell items for 1 copper less than lowest seller (found many times ppl selling 1 material for 1 copper less)…so what do you get ? with thousands of those bots selling again and again for lower and lower…and ppl sell even for less the stacks…because they have no patience and need money fast….that prices drops as hell.
The fact that the supply hasn’t dropped much is mainly caused by ppl actually restarting to farm mats to make money…from 30-40 copper to 2+s for a easy drop t5 mats ? come here baby let’s farm to death, i need that legendary weapon and money don’t grow on trees (unless you chop them lol)

The title of this post is “Legendary…luck”

I do not demand even to lower the recipe too much …it would ruin the mean of legendary ! But…idk….not make it just about money farming…the precursor right now is utterly useless and the clovers are kinda meh too…too much luck based honestly ! Don’t want to rage after 100 tries of mystic forge and hours of temples etc to get nothing…then the good for nothing player come, open a chest or put 4 weapons in the forge and he get the precursor ! Know ppl that got two of them by chests ! 2 ! I’ve never ever got an exo from a chest ! We like to work hard, not to work hard to play a lottery. What i’m trying to say is that the Gift of luck should be changed to my eyes…to many ectos wasted on it for something that doesn’t even work all the time… idk…remove it or change it…your choice…even with 1 gift less there’s plenty of other gifts to do…
Second is to change the way precursors work…i mean…it’s just like the clovers…pure luck..i agree on a lottery if it’s for the skin weapons from halloween…but not for a legendary…So, as ppl suggested already, put it as a reward in a dungeon…. or put differents of them divided between the dungeons ! like…idk Zap for CoE since it’s lightning based…dusk of rage in orr…Colossus in CoF…or put a new dungeon for all the legendaries (like this one coming now!) or even better to my eyes…make a specific recipe in the mystic forge for them ! No more luck at all ! again hard work ! The one that get you satisfied after a long journey to do it !
Another (smaller) point would be to reduce the amount needed of rare items to make some of the gift….not all the player can nerd lot of hours to make a weapon in a reasonable amount of time (would be fine even with 3 month of focusing on it…it’s a legendary…most of the ppl that already made them are those who used the unawareness of the other players regard the items needed to make them at the begin of the game…or with some help. It would be the only explaination i see to make a legendary in 1 month of something less , unless you got top notch lvl of luck).

To conclude this…I do not demand new legendaries right now…there’re so many things to work at in this right moment that are far more importants than legendary skins…later on it would be good ! but for now it’s fine i think ! (even if some skins are more “fun mode” than “legendary weapon”…c’mon a confetti popping gun isn’t legendary at all…so if you make some…make them look legendary kitten like some of them are right now es Twilight,Sunrise,Eternity…3 different 2h swords…lol…The juggernaut…Bolt…The predator…the others are so and so for some of them…like The flameseeker…and the ramaining is…bleh…).

Kinda agree with the crafting system…it’s just a money dump until you can craft exos etc…but hey…it’s only two months…there’s still a lot of time to improve it…but still it’s made so that everyone can craft their own stuff easilly…the matter about special effects etc is fixed by the runes etc…you just have to choose them…your main complain is after all “too easy for me and i can’t make loads of money out of it” …but it’s impossibile to make money thinking you’re just “few” crafter…since the TP is worldwide…
About the combat…your whole sentence is…idk..can’t see the point around it…your main problem is that the boss will kill you because they have too much life or can oneshot you ?.. that the effects skills produce are short timed ? i can perma blind someone with my bombs for 5 sec , confuse him and burn him…all of this while placing healing areas around during all the fight, give regen and spam healing bombs , when i’m fighting a boss generally i’m the one tanking it while keeping all the melee fighters around me alive ( ppl nagging about how melee are mistreated in this game) …while i do all of this i combo with other ranged with my bombs etc giving perma burn to the boss and more…those one-shot skill you mentioned are so that one can’t just mindlessly tank a boss…i need to dodge them too properly ( generally they’re always easy predictable area skills) …that’s why they put dodges, aegis and blocks in the game….never seen a boss that spawn ten adds unless you’re with a big group…but until all ppl will just keep thinking “wiiii…imma glass cannonz! so fun ! me strong ! me explode at first hit !” dying from 10 adds will be all you get…glass cannon is a viable option but the hardest to play in the game…
About pvp…it’s just as you said…still under development…pvp in gw1 at start was good like this one…but lacked variety…and, as time passed, now it’s full of different types of pvp.
We just need patience, and suggest new ideas in the “Suggestion” thread they put; since from beta Anet always listened a lot to his community, trying to find a viable way to put togheter a game that a lot of ppl wanted…
I’m not an hardcore fan etc …i criticize too the game sometimes…but i always remember that it’s still young and have to grow…so from time to time i give my lil tips to Anet hoping they notice them

Here is mine :P tried to stick with the theme of an asuran engineer……unluckilly the turrets etc are quite “under developed” for an asura style xD…hope Anet will do something about it it would be wicked cool
