Bleeds stack in intensity, not duration, each one last the same and bleed damage is constant cuz all bleeds rely on condition damage, same to all dps condition

Thats why they tick for the same damage but each bleed has diferent duration left and why each skill that adds bleed, unless it has the same duration has the other, deal diferent damage (total damage for the full duration)

So basically, using two consecutive 4 second bleed skills (that each apply 1 stack) will result in twice the damage per second, even if it applies said damage in two 28.5 damage ticks per second. Correct?

I’m confused now too, lol

Copied from my response to your other post ZtriDer:

Bleeding stacks in intensity, so if you use two 4s bleeding skills back-to-back, the duration remains 4 seconds but the damage per tick doubles.

This should not be confused with burning, where the duration stacks and the intensity is constant (e.g., two 4s burns back-to-back results in an 8 second burn for the same damage each tick)
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Burning

I could be wrong here, but that’s how I understand it.

Also, to the OP, check the wiki first. Often times answers to some of these questions are easily found (the wiki page includes the dmg calculation formula to boot, so you can estimate how much +condition dmg stats will increase your tick #’s).

What the confusions here?
They dont stack in a single huge bleed.

I’m not sure that’s 100% correct, unless I misunderstood your post.

My concern now I guess is which will be most useful for WvW

I find that the primary factor in determining which class is most useful in WvW, and PvP in general, is the person sitting between the keyboard and chair.

All the classes can be played effectively, so find the one you enjoy the most and go wreck shop out there. Somewhere in Tyria, there’s a keep to be taken!!

I find, that generally, with almost any highly anticipated game, Tom’s Hardware is THE preeminent place to go for GPU/CPU benchmarks and comparison. I spent countless hours on their site looking at GPU performance for a variety of games prior to putting together the gaming rig I’m currently playing on.

Here, check out their review, they test it for 10 commonly available GPU’s over a wide price range.

What exactly does "Blind" do anyway?

Palix, only on the next attack, not for the full duration of the blind. Long duration is only useful because you can use it early anticipating the first attack (or in PvE, if the attack animation is long, throw it up there early and save your dodge for later)

It makes their next attack miss, 100% chance.

In PvP, try to save these for when they’re setting up their big damage attack. Nothing like watching a Thief miss his heartseeker cause you blinded him right before he pulled it off

As many have said, you will HAVE to stance/attunement dance to be most effective.

In addition, I think it’s very important to familiarize yourself with all of the stuns/knockbacks/snares/cripples the class has available as well as their cooldowns in order to properly cycle them. For example, I generally use a staff when PvE’ing, so that means I have a free dodge w/ damage in fire (skill #4, uses no endurance), a chill snare in water (skill #4), a knockback/down and stunfield in Air (skill #3 and #5, respectively), and an immobilize and cripple in Earth (#5 and #4, respectively). I also usually run w/ Signet of Earth as one of my utility skills, giving me an additional 2s immobilize. Cycling through all these movement impairing effects will generally give me plenty of time to kite away while they hobble along barely touching me (also, be sure to strafe away from mob’s at a near 90 degree angle for maximum movement speed, backing up is a no-no unless you’re trying to get them to run through one of your AOE fields).

As far as traits are concerned, I’ll leave this up to you but I feel that EVERY elementalist should have at least 10 pts in Arcane to get elemental attunement asap, i.e., free might in fire, free regen in water, free swiftness in air, and free toughness in earth. You’ll be stance dancing a lot, so why not get a free boon when doing so (not to mention, 10 pts in arcane lowers the cooldown on stance dances).

Best of luck
