They should be account bound. Besides, all the final parts that will go in the forge in the last step are account bound save the precursor.
If you transmute you will also not be upgraded to ascended automatically once ascended weapons come out.
I was building a Space Marine suit for my rifle warrior build too, armor below is:
Head: (Empty)
Shoulders: Arms of Koda
Chest: Heavy Plate
Gloves: Vigil
Legs: Heavy Plate
Boots: Heavy PlateCan’t find a head I’m happy with, norn beard glitches through dredge helm and that’s the only one I like.
Fun Fact: Disable the shoulders and paint the armor red and gold for an Iron Man look :P
Heavy plate chest? Isn’t the one in the picture the Koda one?
Am I weird? I find my Norn (max hight/size/male) the easiest of my characters to do puzzles on. Most of my other characters are human.
I made Sunrise last night, same issue here. This would have to be a bug. Both Sunrise and Twilight take more effort than the other legendaries by themselves already. See no reason why it would be intended to only give it for Eternity.
Also… Did anyone with a different legendary get the badge for just the one? Just to be sure as one poster above noted about 5 tiers. Maybe one isn’t enough regardless? Only problem with that theory is that the badge still says, “equip a legendary.”
If I remember correctly, they have said in another thread about this that they are working on a fix.
Hate to see it wasted on an Asura but…
Looks too close to the corrupted axe. Funny though, I also think “what a waste…” whenever I see a Azura with a legendary. They make it too small, can’t really get the full effect.
Wait for the scavenger hunt update, it should address your concerns. Though we don’t know many details or a date yet.
I was talking with my wife about this the other day. There should be less RNG and more challenges involved. I was talking about a really long, hazardous jump puzzle with knock back mobs, wind, swinging logs, etc. at the end you have to solo a boss of some sort that will test your abilities. Sounds more interesting to me.
Though, I suggest you do not melt weapons in the mystic forge if you can’t wait, you will spend more money that way. Most people spend as much or more than their precursor trying and never getting it, not wise.
If 280g is too much for you, you may as well give up as you will spend/grind that much or more just for the gifts of might and magic alone. Not sure how much your lodestones for twilight are but for my sunrise they were 300g for 100 charged.

Warriors are easy to play. I have an 80 warrior and an 80 ele, if you think Warrior is hard try elemental. You are constantly rotating through 4 sets of spells. THink of it as swapping out 4 different weapons in every fight and timing it so you can stack might and such. It’s a pain in the kitten. Especially finding you haven’t killed anyone because your dps blows. Or you can just bull charge, blades and kill someone lol if they run just finish them off with your rifle. Does that sound hard to you?
Getting sick of people saying lolbullcharge100bwin. You use a stun breaker and dodge, they just did nothing to you. That combo only works on bad players. Glass warriors are easy to juke. I always laugh when they do it to me, I shake it off and just step behind them, I don’t even have to dodge it!
The Axe actually creates ice up your character’s arm, not unlike Icebrood.
Super awesome.
Didn’t get a chance to see that one yet. Not in game anyways, and if I did it didn’t catch my eye like a legendary should.
if you want good hammer try forging Mjolnir, its freaking awesome (elementalist summon hammer skin with lightning), not like legendary crap
I actually prefer the priory hammer to that one, if it looked like a 40k thunder hammer I would be more interested.

I use full Cleric everything with 6/6 water runes. My build is 0/0/25/30/15. I carry either a GS or hammer and a sword shield for the second set.
I can do banner heal/support with signet of healing, shake it off, tactics banner, endure pain, signet of rage. I have near 100% uptime on might/swift/fury from signet of rage. I heal around 350hp a second from my banner along with maybe 260 from healing signet and more from adrenal regen trait. I do strong damage and can take huts very well. If a healing aura ele is in the group I regen so much a second its ridiculous. I use this for dungeons.
I switch to shout heal for roaming PvE using the same traits and gear, so only one purchase of equipment is necessary as well as no trait respec. I just switch the banner CD and regen slots for the shout CD/heal. This build does even more damage with 8-12 stacks of might. I change tactic banner with for great justice and endure pain with on my mark. I lose some swiftness uptime but not much. I love this build.
This might tickle your fancy. I find my 80 guard cannot outperform my warrior for durability and staying power in PvE.
Edit: Or damage for that matter. This is for PvP, right?
Full clerics in dungeons you hit for like, what, 500 damage with a GS?
How does this build fare on SE p1?
I can hit for 750+ with auto attack and 100b for 10-14k especially if I am not the only person passing might around. The damage will vary based on your group, keep that in mind.. I wouldn’t use that build in PvP, you would trade blows with bunker builds till you both get bored and leave or get chewed up by a glass cannon unless they are bad. The build is stacked with power and keeps near 100% uptime on 8 or so might and fury. I have not done SE1, I did SE3 though. I felt like MVP there just like everywhere else. I never go down and can get others up with little worry.

My little Pony bow, yeah that’s totally serious…The reason i never bothered with Legendaries are they are a joke on the owner and of course the pain to actually get them..
I even laugh and Dusk/Twilight users they are one ugly FF7 cloud sword..
I don’t see the resemblance. There is a random GS that does look like that though, but its a generic trash drop. The legendary ones are also not as grossly overaized as that joke of a sword.
I agree though, most of the legendary items are bland and don’t look special. A few I saw (shortbow and longbow, even the hammer is boarderline) don’t even look like legendary items. The GS, staff, and one or two others are eye catching and obviously legendary items.

I normally play healer classes in other RPGs too, but I like GW2 the way it is now. Besides you can do some decent heals (for this game anyways) on an elementalist if you have not tried them yet.
I want my Balthazar to be unbugged so I can buy my final legendary mats… I am done otherwise…
My character name on the other hand, you couldn’t pay me to change it.

This happened to me several times. So far I can tell its not area specific and I didn’t notice a specific cause for the issue. I think I relogged to fix it. It has been a long while since it has happened to me.
There are several posts on this. They should be working on a fix I hope, as when Balthazar opens up on my server I will finish my sunrise.
There needs to be something fun to do that isn’t rewarded or needed. I like helping players. My first time enjoying MMOs was playing classic WoW. I never raided or did dungeons. All I did was go and hunt down, camp, and harass gankers. This was very fun for me. I quit when the pre-BC 2.0 patch came out as world PvP dried up and I was no longer needed. No one needed my help anymore, PvP turned into an easy but long grind for epic gear
I think in GW2 the equal would be hunting eternal battleground jump puzzle griefers and helping people do random things around the world.

Unless you are trying to completely max damage, go divinity. I never bothered to tally the numbers myself, but it looks like you only gain a tiny bit from doing rubies.
I think the OP would like LotRo skirmish missions. They can be scaled in both difficulty and group size. Good gear rewards that span all level ranges too. I found them fun when I used to play it, but got bored after a while. Though as a player who normally likes to solo, I have to say I have more fun here on GW2 than any MMO I have played yet.
This has happened on Isle of Janthir. North invasion is at the Alter of Betrayal (no clue how the hell that happened) and the NPC is MIA. Checked all over the map and cannot find them anywhere.
All I need is to buy my last 57 obsidian shards from the vendor and I am done with my legendary… Wasted 3 hours tonight trying to fix this.
Really wish these bugged events around Balthazar would get fixed already… At least move the shards to another vendor till its corrected…
I saved them all for alts. I had my human guardian at level 2 in t2 shoulders/gloves/boots, t3 chest, and koda pants (from HotW). I used my pile of 100 to keep her appearance up to date with every stat upgrade.
It was fun to see the confusion at first when I started leveling. “Is that a bug? Are you really level 2?”
Elementalist is probably one of the hardest classes to play. You will need to be more mobile playing this class and switch attunments often to be most effective. Once you get more personal experience you will be more stable. Additionally, make sure your stats compliment your intended build. If you go to the elementalist section you might be able to find discussion on leveling builds and what stats/traits to use.
Extreme yes, amongst a heaping pile of other weapons. Also would like to have spears on land.
I do agree the token prices are low, but you need to remember not to spike them up so high that you may as well just go and grind mobs. I think a fair price would be;
Lodestones: 60 tokens
5 Fine T6 Mats: 30 tokens
Additional adjustments would likely be needed of course. This would be a little faster than doing the mob genocide and a lot more fun approach to the issue. I would even go as far as potentially adding ectoplasm to the list for an unspecified amount seeing as a lot of serious players need several stacks of 250 ecto.
Making a separate vendor for this would be a good idea where they can take a mix of tokens instead of on each individual vendor. If you only want to spend certain tokens then you can leave the ones you want to keep in the bank.
If you thought it was a grind before the Lost Shores patch, I don’t have good news for you. They took what was a bit of a grind to level 80 exotics—then they doubled it.
Yeah, if you look at gw2spidy or whatever its called you can see on that day some of the T6 mats went from a couple silver to 25 in a few hours.
This is now kicking me in the teeth with my legendary. I saved about 150g on Dawn only to pay that and more for the fine mats. Only have about 180 of 4 kinds to go and its ~160g for them all.
I also have not heard anything after the initial statement that they planned to do this. Would also like to hear more.
I use 5sigs
Hammer (knight stats)
Rifle (zerk stats)
Knight’s/Valkyrie Drac armor mix (6 Beryl Orbs)
Emerald/Knight, Beryl/Valk, and Ruby/Zerk trinket combo20 in Strength
25 in Arms
25 in DefenseI have no problems at all in pugs, dungeons or fracs
5 signets can work. People that worry about it should spend more time worrying about bad players.
There is no such thing as “leveling”, you explore the world, do events, complete hearts, do whatever you want – and you get levels by doing so.
The concept of “leveling” is an obsession with doing things repeteadly just so you raise your level, it’s not something that can be resolved by anyone else beside you.
Until you’re obsessed with the level you are you will always believe getting to 80 is a grind no matter what, but in reality it’s not – unless you don’t like anything in the world that is, in which case you should consider games with a progression are not for you.Uh that’s called leveling and of course you actually want full traits which isn’t possible until lvl 80 and heavily affects your build so leveling does exist and yes it’s a grind in GW2, hearts are a grind and annoying hate how they are required for map completion. No different than boring quests in other MMO’s.
As much as I hate area’s like Orr I am glad there are no hearts there.
Hearts are the boring quests from other MMOs just delivered in a different way. I would prefer all the zones be more event oriented with more events.
Anyways, something I plan to do once I complete my legendary will be roaming lower level zones and seeing if anyone needs help with stuff. You can also go play WvW and take it seriously, join a guild for it, and do your best for your server.
I run a full rare set with 5/6 superior pirate runes and 1/6 of another MF rune. Never get the exotic MF set, it is a waste in my opinion at least. I notice I get more rare drops while using it. I put on my main stat set when doing dungeons of any kind though.
I seem to make more money while using it.
Cant seem to edit my post on my iphone
if a mod would help merge this with my previous one so i wont double post, that would be massively appreciated.
@condas
Being the last man standing is kinda a dubious honor for most big boss fights considering the way most bosses hate are based on either highest damage or highest life total. So being the last one alive most of the time means you are doing the least amount of damage, or are the most glassy.
Like for example lupi will always chase the guy with the highest life. He will rotate hate once in a while, but generally will keep sticking to one guy for the entire second phase. Or at least until the guy goes down. Then he’ll move on to the guy with the next highest hp.
I am rarely if ever NOT the bosses primary target for the duration of the fight. When I am not, the target never reaches the target due to my spam of immobilize/snares and knockdowns once I peel defiant off. Keep in mind my build keeps 100% uptime on fury and a fat stack of might to got with it. It is a beefy control/support/tank build. I also have an easier time getting players up under pressure when I have to due my high regen and defense.
Most of the time my other players die to AoE attacks or other mechanics. Being the bosses focus usually isn’t dangerous anyways as their auto attacks are normally weak.

Also disconnected after chat stopped working. Have not been able to get in for about an hour or so.
I don’t recall seeing any 5 signet warriors since the first couple weeks of the game being out. Though shout warriors and others who use similar glass type builds go down just as fast as they would. I have been in runs with some who die constantly and some who last the fights out. It depends on the player. I’m sure the ones I ran with that stayed up would still do so as 5/sig as other utilities won’t add that much survivability if any. I really think its a player skill issue. I did a run not long ago with a berserker warrior who had twilight. They died in almost every trash pull and boss. Only signet they had was rage, which is a good utility for its activate.
Personally I play a full cleric gear set including jewels and 6/6 water runes. I have banner heals with signet of healing, shake it off, banner of tactics, endure pain, signet of rage. I have several weapons I carry; hammer, great sword, rifle, sword/shield. I prefer to have either hammer or great sword with the sword/shield. Rifle I use only specific fights, usually in FotM.
I prefer this build not as a way to face tank everything but it makes it really easy to carry players who have issues. I am often the last man standing in several pugs while all 4 others are running back from the WP.
Everyone should master the build they choose, regardless of what other players may think. If you are a good all around player you will make it work. No, l2dodge will not be enough.
This would still take a long time to work through so the original idea of grinding for the items would remain. This would also help with the cost of the materials and a number of other things.
I am currently done with Sunrise save for my T6 mats. I need totems, blood, scales, and fangs. These things are really expensive and drop at such a slow rate that farming them directly is disheartening. The demand for these items is up through the roof now with the supply diminished and the addition of ascended backpacks. The backpacks will be targeted by a larger player base than legendary items so the amount of demand is higher than it normally would be.
A system like this would make the despair of hitting such a wall lessened significantly. I already have half of the T6 mat stacks done and I still feel like I have 1-2 whole months of raw grinding just to get fine crafting mats. That is just silly.
Going from a level 30 Story Quest to a level 48 ( skipping the story line!! )
Posted by: Condas.7056
This just happened to my wife right now. Very upset about this. I don’t understand why the characters cannot be set to the proper quests. She was showing the level 30 quest before we entered Lion’s Arch then when we were inside she was on the level 48 quest.
