As someone who crafts items for profit, I’m not overly worried about the price of ectos as even when they are at high prices I can pass on the increased cost in the prices of the items I sell.
Cheap ectos are nice, but unless you’re saving up for a legendary (or ascended I guess) I don’t see much point in hoarding them.

I didn’t claim anyone didn’t like it. I was questioning its state as a bug by virtue of the fact that it is appearing on the bugs subform. For me I can zoom out like that at will now using the mouse wheel. In some situations the camera automatically pulls all the way out like it has always done, but now it is further. Hence, as far as I know it’s not a bug; it’s a new feature requested ad nauseum by the user base on these very forums.
It was only possible after doing a Mad King dungeon run. After re-logging, it is back to its regular crappy zoom (hence, it is a bug). Though, I’m not sure if the update just now patch it out =/
The initiative regain was only there to refund what you spent going into the block stance, if any of you were thinking that you should be able to gain initiative overall need to remember what having no-recharge time does to a mechanic like that.
The change merely brought it into line with its original intention by the looks of it. Nothing wrong there.
If this is how they want it, they really need to “fix” how mobs work underwater as well then.
What was nerfed about it? I thought they fixed it?
edit: Oh wow, they did nerf it. We used to be able to interrupt it to regain initiative. Now we must not get hit to regain them(how is that even possible when getting hit by 3-5 mobs…)… they even changed the description to match it. WTF. So they disguised a massive nerf as a “fix”. How the hell are we suppose to fight more than one mobs underwater now?
Not only do they attack as soon as they spawn, they spawn “invulnerable”, so classes that usually can not tag unless they are pre-spamming the spawn locations are effectively shut out because as soon as they exit their invulnerable state, they pretty much get obliterated before lower DPS classes can tag them.
I can’t seem to find Power/Precision/CritDmg Breathers anywhere. They don’t even show up on GW2DB. The highest level breathers that show up are from Gavebeorn, but they have crappy stats (for my purposes).
Doesn’t help us when you don’t tell us what they are and where you got them…
It’s from an npc next to the fight with the claw of jormag, one of jormag’s lieutenants, in frostgorge sound. You need to buy the recipe (for a few silver) but the recipe requires corrupted lodestones, which i heard are very hard to obtain.
Can anyone confirm that those are Corrupted Shards?
Who cares about showing off weapons, when we look the best in the pimp hat.
Seriously, we get the best looking armor from early in the game. I swagger past the other classes in their clunky metal or suffocating robes and know I’ve just raised the resale value of every house on the block. Keep your oversized swords that everyone will see coming a mile away … while you’re marveling at my fine clothing I’m either stealing your purse or stabbing you in the gut – probably both.
