Commanders should be given the ability to kick AFKers off turrets. These turrets are so crucial to the success, AFKers and trolls shouldn’t be allowed to do what they like on them. This would be the best way to deal with them. No long-standing penalty to anyone but a way to get the group on track.

Given that drop and salvage rates for Crystalline Dust seem low (to me) and yet more and more crafting requires more and more Crystalline Dust, especially when the Ascended crafting update goes live, will the drop rates for Crystalline Dust be adjusted to account for the additional need? As it is it seems like the lack/high price of Crystalline Dust will be a blocking factor.
There is of course the Mystic Forge recipe for creating more Crystalline Dust, but since that burns skill points and skill points are needed for the Ascended gear crafting, it would seem that would create a secondary blocking factor.
I’d love for someone from ANET to comment on this, or should I be prepared to pay 100g or more for 1 pile of Crystalline Dust in the BLT soon…

You can still kill deadeye with 5 gambits. It’s only slightly more difficult now, but not impossible.
Which profs can do this? I only want the achievement, not interested in farming.

GTX 780 is a better solution because even a 780 won’t be able to max everything out for all/future games. So he will have the ability to add another 780 later.

I just debunked the 1 ecto per item claim in my video near the end.
All rares were obtained from the daily bosses and Southsun Instigator farm for 5-29-13.
Rate nerf is still up in the air. But the claim that you can only salvage a possible of 1 ecto per rare now is wrong, proven at 1:02.

Shadow Return always had infinite range. Shadowstep didn’t though, but it has 1200 shadowstep range.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Flanking strike use to be able to hit up to 3 units with BOTH attacks? Now, it only hits up to 3 with Flanking and only 1 with Larcenous. I’m not sure I like the overall damage nerf just to be able to steal 2 boons.

Best thing to do is to stack inside him. Can finish all 3 paths in 50-60minutes with the optimal group setup.

The way I see it, and I see this for many dungeons not just fotm. A lot of thieves go glass cannon builds for high dps while they still don’t know how to dodge / predict the enemies.
That being said same thing could go for any class, but thieves generally have a lot lower stock survivability stats ( yes I said stats not skills/utilities) which makes them die uber fast with not a lot of forgiveness for errors.
Thieves are very valuable if the thief knows his class and how to help. Sadly many don’t.
Completly agree with you, after 300h play with my thief I have to say that thiefs isnt useless.
Thiefs have insane amounts of damage, as they have lots of +% dmg traits, they scale so well with berserker builds, making them one of the best damage dealers in the game wile also they offer this benefits to the party:
- Weakness: With 15 points in deadly arts, thiefs can apply weakness to its target every time they poison him. Now think that dagger autoattack poisons in its 3rd attack, and shortbow has a poison field. With this two things, thiefs are able to keep weakness 100% uptime on his targets (greatly reducing enemy damage output)
- Blind spam: With offhand pistol, thiefs can keep most bosses blinded a lot of time, this works like guardian’s aegis, but boss side. This makes thiefs really OP in certain bosses, spamming weakness and blinds make thiefs one of the best clases to mitigate boss damage output.
- Spameable Blast Finisher: Cluster Bomb is probably one of the most OP skills in game, with a cost of only 3 initiative points (cheaper than other useless skills) it can be used to spam blast finisher in combo fields, who is in my opinion, the best finisher.
Cluster bomb+poison field: AOE weakness in an insane area. (SBow has both)
Cluster bomb+ethereal field: Chaos armor for everyone
Cluster bomb+fire field: 3 charges of AOE might for 20sec, now spam it!And this are only some of the amazing efects that a thief can provide to a party (and even more if u consider the multiple uses of shadow refuge or smoke screen)
In my opinion, thiefs are so usefull in partys, the problem is that they provide pasive benefits which no one notices. While guardian gives buffs and animations that everyone see, thiefs provides debuffs that no one knows.But the main problem thiefs are suffering, are something that arena.net must fix asap: BOSS MECHANICS MUST BE PREDICTABLE specially those that can instakill you. If you can’t predict boss skills, the game becomes an RNG fight instead of a skill fight.
Its so annoying to stay at melee range and see how an instant whirlwind kills you without any chance to dodge/avoid it. All bosses must have skill animations that let the player decide when, how and what to dodge
Blind is only 10% effective on bosses, so it is pretty much useless on bosses.
314.07 drivers with SLI GTX 570s. No issues here. Probably not the issue, but next time, just use the driver’s own clean install to “clean install”.

Everyone knows Grenth is a lot easier to do with just a handful of people that know what to do. His difficulty ramps up a crap ton when people keep joining in.

In the process of re-recording my CoE paths since it is easier now. Uploaded P2 last night, will have the new P1 and 3 up soon, but the older videos on my page still apply to the alpha fight, it just takes longer since he has more health in those.
But really, all you do is stand in melee range and time your dodges.
You naturally cleave out whoever gets hit by the purple crystal in part 2 and 3.
In path 1 you don’t even need to dodge the red circles because his only two attacks in melee range are the flame AoE and conal attack
In path 2 the only other attack you need to worry about is his flame AoE, which does minor direct damage so you just want to remove burning
In path 3 you just dodge the same red circles as path 2 but have the conal attack instead of the fire AoE.Alpha is basically like Kholer, dodge one very obvious attack and everything else is easy. Just count 1-1thousand, 2-1thousand, then dodge.
like I said, we tried stacking on him. we still got wiped.
I’m not sure what the problem was. hi it was the last 1 to go down. the rest, maybe they didn’t have a good enough armor, but really, it was on path 1, his pbaoe fire and cone is what killed us.
Stack INSIDE him. Then the only thing that can hit you is the big red AOE circles which you can dodge. His spike attack will not hit you since it radiates outside of him.

Dreamer still has the same skin. Only thing that changed is the projectile which looks so kittening awesome now. Sadly, I’m still only halfway there because Lover is so expensive.
People keep talking about corrupted shortbow having a change in looks but no one has ever posted a screenshot of it.

It’s OK. Why else would we be able to auto-cast heal. To avoid being kicked for being afk of course! I do it all the time. Most of the time, just ask yourself this: “Does what I do affect the economy?” (No), “Does it break the game in any way?” (No), “Does it exploit a glitch to give yourself an unfair advantage against other players?” (No), and etc. Obviously, some people would think that you shouldn’t do it anyway, but don’t worry about them.

That’s exactly what I’m asking, what’s the point of the better infusions? Since they only give +5 stats, I mean if it was like, +50 then maybe I’d consider it. But since the simple infusion gives you +5 AR already, seems abit off to spend a whole bunch of mats on the +5 stat +5 AR infusions

Yes you do but the question raised is whether there’s a real reason to craft an Infusion such as a Healing Infusion for example instead of spending some relics on a Simple Infusion. One’s costly to make and the other can be easily brought with materials earned through completing the lower level FOTM content and the only real difference is a small stat increase that doesn’t affect AR.
Aside from some edge cases there’s not much reason to chose a crafted infusion over a bought one at the moment. Honestly I think if you personally can’t think of a reason why you’d need the fancy one yourself then you probably don’t need it at all for the time being. Just buy the ones from the Golem OP, they’ll likely do you quite fine for now.
