While we may complain about this matchup being stagnant as hell, it is the most competitive WvW that we’re likely to get in its current stage. Think of map politics this way (presuming everyone plays for first);

JQ: Strong SEA/Mod NA/Weak EU/Weak OC (1 strong, one mod and 2 weak)
BG: Mod SEA/Mod NA/Mod EU/Mod OC (4 moderately pop’ed)
SoR: Mod SEA/Strong NA/Strong EU/Mod OC (2 strong, 2 moderate)

SEA: JQ comes out ahead, SoR and BG fight over ppt and is often a stalemate (JQ++)
NA: SoR comes out ahead, JQ and BG fight over ppt and is often a stalemate (SoR+)
EU: SoR comes out ahead, BG leeches JQ points (SoR++; JQ-, BG +)
OC: SoR and BG come out ahead, and both leech JQ points (JQ-; BG/SoR +)

On paper SoR should always win via coverage, BG coming in second and JQ last – why is this never the case, well its to do with server politics. Its in JQs best interest to buddy up with either side because in that way JQ has less points that are leeched off by either BG or SoR (in oceanic for BG, EU/NA for SoR) – they have used this strat ever since the ET/HoD days where JQ would double team ET so that JQ would get a guaranteed 1st or 2nd place.

In a three way there is always a server that in reality is stronger than coverage than JQ but you have to give them credit, they are good at the politics game. Also it doesn’t hurt that BG and SoR generally don’t play nice to turn the tables back on JQ.

@Fuzzion, SF is composed of primarily ex SBI players and guilds, none of us ever paid another team to transfer there. Transfers were still free.

@SBI imploding times, youtube search SF SBI chronicles, all of those videos were post WM leaving. A lot of us on the server still had a blast regardless of ppt or certain once wvw teams turned pve or inactive

@the guilds leaving JQ, they all left on their own accord. As far as the “toxic” word utilization to describe the JQ community, it was harsh and phrased improperly. This issue was resolved publicly by the poster. I would say that overall I dont see hate for the old teams that were on JQ, more like a sibling rivalry with something to prove. I know I go full throttle against Aco/Ward/Esol/Tkg. They are all good competition and worth the fights. Hell Im glad I finally got face time with TW a couple times this week. I usually get stuck on a different objective for xyz reasons.

All in all I think everyone is still enjoying the competition that we try to bring each other. If we werent WvW would be completely empty. It is each other on the other servers that keep us all coming back during our active days. We all give each other a different outlook on aspects of this game and assists with the consistent forcing of improvements of community building, fighting, communication, guild strategies, and new crap we do for science against one another. I think overall the game is pretty kitten good and thats only because of the thought processes we bring to the table against one another to keep things fresh.

Aaaanyway, we will see you all out there as usual, lets get prepped for reset night with a ton of drinks and drunken commanders all round tomorrow

exactly. Sorry Indo/SOR, it’s not ur fault, we couldnt help you any longer. Waha has tried extremely hard to soothe JQer since last match-up, IRON was a huge troll even if there is a so called truce front of ppl. it’s like, mate you call us for help and some of your crew bite our butt, what’s going on, what do you really want?? Our NA bros were being trolled again, again and again; Waha announced ’that’s enough; that’s it. sorry Indo….’ on the 2nd day this match-up.

According to Waha, there is no other better/stronger guilds better than MERC from BG( well, I am guessing he is talking about MERC’s SEA force). They are much stronger than ATM in terms of coverage and size. He mentioned a few times he wont be happy to see if MERC left from BG and he believe the match-up will be too bored. Waha/ATM respect them hard and Waha doesnt give kitten to IRON at all.

Oh by the way, ‘IRON you messed up everything.’- this word isn’t from me, I am just a minion of ATM, I heard it from lots lots and lots other JQers, including Waha ATM.

The amusing part of that statement is most of SEA, ATM and MERC spend most of it avoiding each other.

Our SEA has focused SoR for a total of 2 weeks, please ask BG how many times our SEA was all over them. I am not here to argue but come on now, your judging everything based on 2 weeks.

I call it how I see it. Play your game, do your thing.

The problem with how you see it is that it’s just the micro-view of the much bigger picture.

To Indo’s philosophy I reply, with all due respect, that’s a rather immature view of competition. You can be feared but respected by your foes. But in light of some of the rampant trolling that takes place, I guess it goes to show how much influence one guy has on the whole population. The rest of us just have to suffer the noise

Consider the fact that half the BG guilds talk kitten about each other in /map chat regularly. I think Indo’s philosophy is probably the better one.

I’d rather be on the server that has a positive friendly community than the poisonous one where everyone went there just to win and people disrespect their own teammates.

I really wish I could peer into this world of yours that you seem so sure about so that I can understand you better. I really do.

Nope, the last thing I think is “oh kitten its OCX”, more “get ready for thier CC, as they are going to run”, I think NYS/SONG are the only SEA guilds that deserve respect for what they do on field (very good comp, don’t yolo it and also will fight with even numbers and don’t run to their ACs and call in a few more guilds like OCX or HIRE). Regardless, trying to win an argument on the official forums is pretty much kitten ing into the wind, so I’ll knock it off and do something more productive at work lol.

Since when are crosses on the map at your home tower a GvG that can’t be crashed – and if GC can cause crosses by themselves it was an equal fight as /supplyinfo indicated 24 people on me in SEA last night (yeah I blob really hard). Usual pattern of engagements are that HIRE/OCX PvDs a tower, we defend with equal numbers and they wipe the first time, half your numbers log due to being incapable to cope with dying in PvP. You just run away from that point on. Also if we tried to blob with TKG (I wouldn’t do that because we are more effective in seperate forces), Flake would probably slap me upside the head and ND/Urge/XF are always on other maps so are you supposing we cross map blob?

If you’d like me to printscreen/record your blobs so you could eat your own evidence, I would gladly do it.

The way usual pattern of engagements actually work is – HIRE or OCX joins a map, we catch MERC in open field, MERC wipes. Then you lead them into a tower or keep, make roughly 7-15 Arrowcarts, then when we push in with roughly 18-20, cause we obviously never have more than 20, since MERC runs a staggering 23, yet looking at your guild roster, you had over 33 people in WvW. Thats usually how it happens, you hide in your choke points, and claim to be better from that

Also, GC runs ~15 of just GC, I could show you the teamspeak photos to prove it too, TKG is mostly very similar in size, so 15v15 + MERC with 23, then “additional pug friends lets say to be ezmode, an additonal 2, make it a flat 25” 15v over 30? Thats your usual fight

I’m sorry but I must interject here. Scypi, we have scouts…. As I’m sure most guilds do. Just because they are in WvW doesn’t mean they are on their commander (e.g tarkus for this arguments sake), and I’m sure you experience this as well.
