Dear BG and SoR

Thanks for the match up this week.

Many on JQ were unsure of our future when we went into the match up against FA and TC a few weeks back. JQ had lost a number of players and many of us asked ‘what is JQ?’

Since then JQ has taken stock and come to appreciate even more what BG and SoR has to offer, concurrently being appreciative of what other servers have given us.
TC showed us again what good communities can do and how to win without winning. We learnt a lot from FA too and their fighting spirit, their ‘If it’s red, it’s dead’ policy that upset many dolyak, but they kept fighting no matter what Respect. Even Mags taught us what real trolls are and how to fight!

It was good JQ took a break and met other servers, we learnt a lot. It also gave us space to find ourselves again and think what does tier 1 mean to us. Many of us now have renewed vigour and understanding, we come back to BG and SoR with open arms.

JQ wins this week but it’s not the guarantee that it once, but that’s ok. JQ has come to appreciate even more the fights that BG and SoR put out. While trolls will do their thing, the veteran players take it to the field and the more balanced of us see how the current tier 1 match-up is the most dynamic we’ve seen (since launch?).

It’s a love hate relationship, but deep down inside we all love this match up. Respect to our BG and SoR brethren. To our next match together and future fights!

<3 lovely post. I missed JQ. Congrats for this week. I know my JQ friends had fun with the fights. And I know I’ve had much more fun since JQ came back (for oceanic/sea time, poor TC)

Tonight we had a battle… between MERC and IRON

The Moa battles were intense, firstly starting off with IRON : 2 – MERC : 0
We were struggling, cheering our mighty commander!
IRON started struggling as MERC crept up to an even score

In the end, MERC won…… IRON : 3 – MERC : 5
Cause MERC love to moa? Or maybe that is IRON….. who knows anymore.

Yeah, BG definitely had a large lagblob trying to hold that garrison. Was a very nice take on Waha’s part though, his guys always impress me when I play during Oceanic/Sea.

Not sure which fight you were at… but BG, SoR and JQ alll had nice blobs.

I gotta say I find TC’s love of PPT to be absolutely mind blowing. I was watching people guard yak’s to the mag keep in EB, five people. That is impressive in a match that is just a zergfest and PPT is about as important as JQ’s view of being a T2 server.

People on TC roleplay in WvW as tower/keep/camp/dolyak/etc… guards. That’s why there are ALWAYS people in towers/keeps/camps/etc… alerting the zerg if someone strolls by.

I’m not joking at all, either.

You should see the in-character reporting of said enemy movements in /map chat. Full paragraphs of carefully parsed and flowing prose. It’s amazing. <3 TC.

……this almost tempts me to come visit tc for a bit. … almost……… would be so epic to read lol

I remember the quaggan with the kite. When I saw you you had at least 3 people covering your back, so I, while solo roaming, decided not to engage.

Did I? I was having many kite parties last week….. while in quaggan form………. Mainly with my IRON friends and some BG people! Think I even ran into a TC who joined us for a time….

After the questionable navigation of Captains Kelo of the Lady Seafoam Antonym and Thorich of the Red Seasniffer of the Proletariat extended our mission for 2 extra weeks, we finally happened upon the Jed Quarrian Cruiser, Beep Beep I’m a OIIIIO, captained by the renowned Rear Admiral General Colonel Sanders of the Deadly Frost. Our two Captains were so inept that when approaching the Beep Beep I’m a OIIIIIO, Captain Thorich nearly rammed the cruisers stern but fortunately, due to quick thinking, the Rear Admiral only ended up with a wet bow. Captain Thorich was immediately ordered to paddle home in a lifeboat claiming no home, oh, for about a week.

The welcome home celebration thrown for us was quite spectacular and we handed out many SF HUGS to our friends in SoR and BG, though we should probably offer medical assistance, as we have just come from a week of handing out the same hugs to the primitive tribes of Maguuma and their Maguumy Bears.

I would also like to request a brief respite from returning to my marriage counseling duties as I have found a new love for bringing the word of Jedsus Chris to those who need it most.
