The response you have gotten from support is sickening. They need to step up and do something since its they who are flawed. Items/gold need to be returned to everyone has been hacked like you.

I play ele mesmer and necro. I would say go mesmer to feel powerful. Plus i can take on mobs with barely taking any damage at all. I do like my D/D Ele though. He’s fun to play. Necro has crazy high HP for a cloth wearer, and really great condition damage. It just depends on what you enjoy the most. Since you play warrior though you are not going to feel nearly as powerful.

This is why i have made a mesmer. I plan on portaling people through things that they can’t get up to. Mostly my friend who always complains when i get way ahead and they are still at the beginning. But anyone else who is there when i am i am glad to help as well. None of that charging people for it either. That’s just silly

Yup. Same. Every time i get in i try to go to a waypoint and just disconnect again. Just not going to try anymore for a little while. Took me long enough to just be able to log in to the forums.

During the reinforcements portions of the event i actually went afk to stretch and grab a drink or have a smoke. It was just so boring to do. All i did the majority of the time was resurrect people everywhere. Being directly underneath the mobs as a squishy little ele i had to dodge quite a lot, but kept tons of people up. Other than that it was just 1 2 1 2 1 2 5 1 2 1 2 1 2 5 in fire a lot lol maybe some chill and cripple but blah! so boring.

I thought it was going to be interesting when we started by knocking over a tree.

Rewards were worth sticking around though Had some fun aspects and some long boring ones.

I was looking for a level three group yesterday and it took me a while. I tried early in the day and nothing. Later in lions arch there was just a group of guildies who needed one more so i went. Now i gotta try to find a level 4 for my progression. I’d much rather be able to go with the highest level in group. Just makes more sense.

As for no one at higher levels going with level 1s. I have ran so many lvl 1 runs with people because there wasn’t a group for me. The armor repair costs were insane because no one would listen and kept dying. However, i did do it because i’d rather not do nothing because there is no one running my fractal level.

I may just join a guild who does a lot of dungeons. Instead of just being in my own to avoid other people

Use your evades/blinds/dazes and the like to keep their damage low and i find them to be quite easy. Too bad my pets on my ranger can’t just easily avoid them lol.

I do like to use pets with knockdowns in there though. Makes the little ones without stability a little easier.

The skipping stones jumping puzzle is my favorite in the game now. I did it with some effort and felt accomplished. I liked the timed element. It gave me a feel of urgency that made it a lot more fun.

It was not anywhere near as difficult as the mad kings clocktower that i was unable to even complete. Wish I had the new computer back then maybe i could have.

Just log out and back in if you have a lot of people on your overflow server. That’s what I did until i got onto a server where it was me and one person doing the jumping puzzle. But if you want to kill the champion after the jumping puzzle you’ll need a more populated server or a couple skilled players.

I missed the events due to being asleep. I probably wont attend today’s event either even though i am awake. It just doesn’t feel like it matters to me. I have played in the new dungeon, and gone to the new area, but that’s really all that i have done. The two new jumping puzzles were fun. One more than the other, but fun no matter what

I want them too! I always like to have a set handy for when i want to keep my party healed up better on my ele.

All this only matters if i ever actually try to go for it.

I’m still the guy who is willing to take the 20s and 30s with me. It might be the reason why i haven’t progressed beyond level 2 fractals, but i have only been doing it for fun anyway. Uh oh on my insane repair bills though -_-

Best thing i can say for those who are low level, just make your own squad and invite whoever you want. That’s what i have to do when on my ranger, and a lot on my ele.

I’d much rather just keep the back armor/backpacks than have any kind of cloak. Cloaks and cape like things just take a lot more to render in crowds and causes more people to bog down.

I can see why people would want it though. It was definitely always something i went for in other games, but often had to turn off during big events.

I think i saw an interview that their official statement was “It’s not currently in the works but it’s something we might be looking into”

I don’t think it’s an exact quote, but they may eventually add it. Just don’t look for it anytime soon. Let them fix the crazy amount of bugs and balance our classes first before we start adding things like that

Love some of the fractals in it. Only ones i don’t care for are dredge one (because the end boss everything else is fantastic) and the forest one with the annoying guy who pops up and does nutso damage and then runs away if you dps him. Mostly because getting a squad to listen to me about stability and dodging traps and condition removal is impossible.

The silliness. Oh and it’s not like my ranger ever got invited to a dungeon anyway -_-.

I dislike not being able to just swiftness a crowd of people when we are walking along very slowly with an NPC. Since i made my ele initially because it had some semi okay support healing skills for things like that it really stings.

I loved this puzzle. It was an absolute blast to do. at first it was just me over there trying with one person then the servers got a new build and i was in a different overflow with 20 people there which made it a little more difficult since i am so tiny on my short little guy but i managed to get over the frustration and just take a breath and get through it no problem. Was just me and two other people who made it to the end. Waited for more but no one arrived so i was wandering around up there and discovered we could get over to the little island by going through/across the wreckage and found a champ. Well they got killed pretty fast and i avoided death barely. Just couldnt get to res them because they were directly underneath.

Was a blast and thanks to whoever made that puzzle. I might actually do it again today just for fun.

I noticed this too and was very annoyed that my aoe heals in events are now just useless.

Oh we cheered already and there was great sense of accomplishment from it. It’s just the chaotic mess i was watching while pouring my two pots and then running down to revive the dead and getting back up. I stated the game plan right away before we even started, and it still took an hour to do. lol.

I was just like kitten YEAH it’s over then everyone left even though i wanted to move onto a higher fractal lol

He is the WORST thing i have ever experienced in GW2. Just spent an hour in a party to do him. i was running a pot while another guy was over running a pot. and we had rangers kiting him the entire time. They would go in so many directions and then he would wander off in odd directions because of it or when one got downed he’d go back for the downed player as the pot was pouring.

I think the sickness needs to be increased slightly.

I want to set him on fire and toss him off the dock. Mute him completely -_-

The dungeon is made to be more of a survival mode Danno. The fact that the entire team dying is perfect, because it FORCES people to play as a team, if 2-3 members in a party go down then one needs to distract the mob while other heals. It’s very challenging and fun.

And why do you need waypoints? If you die you get a checkpoint to return too, because like i said its more of a survival mode. It fits the theme imo.

I see where you are coming from. It’s just when in random parties it just becomes a hassle. The team after that though was great until lead left. I would distract mobs while people got ressed or vice versa. I was in water ele a lot to keep heals up. I was spamming AoE cripple and chill like crazy to keep mobs grouped tightly while everyone spammed their aoes. Was very very fun.

Eh i think i would be perfectly fine with it all if i had a dedicated group of people to go with all the time. I’d just rather not feel obligated to be active. If i were in a guild i would feel that way. I like to disappear occasionally

As someone who isnt in a guild who know each other and play together often it’s a little annoying for me. I usually just join up with whoever when i go into a dungeon and see what happens.

This last run i was in a party where everyone but me and a hunter were dead and we were running around inside of a locked room because we could not get out to res our other members and continue the dungeon so we were forced to die which just ends up costing me coin in the long run just from repairs. People should be able to respawn and get back to what they were doing.

The gear is more powerful by a small percentage. However, when someone ends up with a full set of ascended they become far more powerful than a person with a full set of exotics. We were told this wasn’t going to happen, and were lied to. That’s my biggest complaint.

Hopefully they correct that and apologize. I don’t see it happening though.

I would say that bind on acquire needs to be removed. Not even account bound on acquire. If they are going to be bringing out ascended gear they need to make the exotics even more attainable. And if that’s from fractals then so be it. That way everyone working towards ascended is on par with each other. Meh.

It’s ridiculous that we can’t respawn without whole party dying. It’s silly that if leader leaves we all get kicked (that needs to be fixed for all instances). I don’t like that the new gear that will be coming out of this place is more powerful than exotics. I just want it to be a fun place to earn equal gear with a different look like the other instances. Or add more ways to attain the ascended gear that’s coming out.

However it’s visually stunning on the inside. I love the one where we have to work our way to the top jumping up platforms and solving puzzles. The staircase with the lasers is hilarious and that made me laugh.

I would say ranger then ele would be the two worst in the game. Necromancer i find a lot easier to play than both. With my necro i have tons of HP, plus the life force i can switch into with death shroud when healing is on CD and in a tight spot. Very high toughness is easily to get along with great condition damage.

Have watched this video before and it’s very funny. I actually started out as ele/ranger. Ele first because i have always enjoyed a caster class. I play a d/d build even though it seems odd for a caster to be in close combat o.0 guess that’s what my grandmaster in earth is for.

The silliness just keeps growing and growing.

Zero. I was very pleased with the release of the game. Then my favorite class kept getting nerfed (ranger) and is still continuing to be screwed over. Traps recharge increased, really? Shortbow auto attack reduced insanely? UGH I should have made a thief/war for the start instead of ranger/ele. Both of my class choices were the absolute worst.

And now we get a gear grind, which we were told would NOT happen.

I DO like that new content gets added on a regular basis, but why would i invite someone to a game that seems to be going downhill so soon after it’s release?

The visuals of this game are stunning, the story line is okay, and the system where we automatically work towards a single goal even if we aren’t partied is great. Right now though the bad far outweighs the good of this game and i am not sure i can continue to play if things keep happening like they have been recently.

Fix it! Animation issues my bum.

Are you actually serious? We were expecting actual improvements to the ranger class which already blew, and we get this?

Thank you very much for making the class even worse. I guess i won’t be working towards my full exotic gear on my ranger. Maybe i’ll roll a class that you actually care about. Perhaps a warrior/thief/mesmer. Those are extremely overpowered anyway. I guess i’ll just make a class where i can just hack and slash my way through the entire game and do insane damage with no effort.

I am not excited one bit about having to grind for gear. I already work hard for gear and i’m not even full exotics yet. I don’t want to put all my energy into getting gear and not enjoying the game itself. It feels like actual work when i have to have the newest and best gear to just compete with everyone. I just want to use skill to beat down a player or take down a boss.

All i can say is it better not be a big gap and extremely hard to obtain. I like this game because everyone is on equal footing gear wise. It comes down to skill when playing. If they remove the skill part and just make it about gear i quit. Wont play another MMO where i have to dump a lot of time/money into it just to compete. Not gonna happen.

I would like to put my two cents in and say. Dumbest….thing….ever…..

I hate getting hit by a ranged mob running to meet up with someone and then i am sooooooo slow.

I just want them a little more attainable. The precursors are the real annoyance for me and the reason i don’t really want to work towards it. I don’t like the gamble of it all. I like to be able to see a goal and work towards it.

Either way, making it a little easier (not crazy easy) wouldn’t be a bad idea. Would keep the more casual players in game and probably sell more gems to keep the game going.

There are bots that aren’t rangers with SB and bears? o.0 that’s crazeh.

Lol that made me laugh. Its sadly true in a lot of ways I was in sPvP today and i was the ONLY non thief class in my kitten party. Everyone knows they are overpowered so everyone is making one. I just can’t bring myself to make one when i enjoy being a ranger/ele

Read part of this topic and agree with a lot. I don’t even go there anymore. It’s just too darn boring. All that occupies the place is risen back to back. I would prefer them to thin it out a little and add a longer time between their knockdowns and pulls. If i get caught up in a group of 3 i can get pulled and knocked back so much its crazy. I don’t have enough of a stability buff to really stay upright all the time.

Eh maybe something will happen. and i swear if the lost shores is all risen themed i am going to be annoyed.

I had to choose ele and ranger as my two main classes to play -_- An elementalit doesn’t hit like it should, and the ranger doesn’t have very many options and got a couple very huge nerfs since beta.

The NPC is hilarious though

I was actually looking into making a desktop instead of scouring the internet for a laptop that would do the trick. I mostly wish to stay mobile though. I did find one laptop almost similar to a friends that can run pretty smoothly on medium settings in the majority of situations and bigger events runs pretty well on low settings with native sampling. It’s pretty much a toss up between the two at the moment. Eh, we’ll see what happens this coming month.

I am not looking to run smoothly in wvw. That would be silly to expect.

I am above minimum requirements on everything except the video. Just have no idea how to tell what video card is better than that other and what video card would be equal to or greater than what is listed.

It is indeed a serious topic. I know laptop and gaming don’t often go together without spending 1k+ on a laptop, but i just need something that will suffice. I don’t expect miracles. I know i can make a system that by far surpasses any laptop i could get for around the same price, but i’d rather stay mobile. I mostly need to know how to guage what graphics will be better. I know most in the price range will be integrated with shared memory, but would still like to know what would be best to get.

If you have suggestions that would be nice. Right now my laptop only has 128mb and it’s complete crap. Been playing GW2 on lowest possible settings since the launch day and managed to pvp in sPvP and rank top quite a lot, as well as level 2 80s and just do random stuff, but just very laggy during a lot of events and such. would love to run smoother, and enjoy the game more.

I would have no problem with a refurbished laptop. As for HP that’s what my friend is running on. A HP laptop that was brand new at about 500 dollars and runs 10 times better than mine inside the game, for everything else mine runs better -_-

Is there anything specific i should look for graphics wise? Any way i can tell what graphics are better than others?

Also i don’t object to building a desktop computer, but would much rather stay mobile. Desktop build suggestions are also welcome.

When it comes to running games on laptops i am a complete moron when it comes to specs. I am just looking for an affordable (400-500) laptop that will run GW2 smoothly. I am not looking for anything that will run smoothly maxed out, but more like around medium settings.

Currently i lag out in big battle situations and run around 10 FPS and that’s just not suitable. Not to mention jumping puzzles are a real pain when my system is really lagging.

I know it’s asking a lot, but 450 would be the ideal mark to hit. I spent hours the past few days looking for something that would do, but haven’t got any real idea for what to look for. Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciate.

I have attempted to do the clock tower many many MANY times now and i am beyond frustrated. I am not exactly a great jumper with my sub par computer, and keep messing up. I get that its supposed to be difficult, and i don’t expect it to be easy. I just want to actually be able to finish it without trying to spend my entire day in there just to continuously fail :/
