The only reason I ever picked the game up was because of WvW.

Coverage gaps are shrinking!

In fairness, the last time my character was stopped by a CC was well, a really long time, but this seems pretty dumb. Like others have said, it makes blobbing way better which I still can’t believe so many do. Don’t people wanna be “300” and not a huge enemy blob?

So idk, I’ll try to play the game and see if my guild do some different stuff but sheesh stab is just hugely nerfed.

Relaxed server, not amazingly organized outside of a couple guilds. Probably a great place to recruit as people come back for the expansion.

A lot of people who have two accounts often have one on ET and then like a t2 server so they can get the community on ET but then the coverage on a t2 server.

Pretty different style can be played on ET, if ya tired of blobbing a lot of ET vets are roaming masters and ppt maxers with minimal numbers. Can get rough when there isn’t a counter blob though, especially if ET gets placed against a t6 or t5 server. A lot of people claim their server doesn’t blob, although its not always true on ET, it might be one of the least blobby servers out there.

Def can get a little bit of everything on ET!

Would love to see an oceanic ppt guild come down to ET!

The game is fine, people just need to try to populate servers such that all the servers have similar populations. If this happened, blobs wouldn’t be as effective for ppt because the way blobs work is they have more than another blob which demoralizes the smaller blob into becoming a smaller blob.

If the populations between servers was similar, GVG guilds would be thrilled with variety of match ups and fights and if servers blobbed a lot, they wouldn’t dominate ppt which would encourage less blobbing.

I’m not complaining for being on the bottom of the leaderboards, my complaint here is that we don’t have anyone to fight, the best we can do right now is a zerg of 10 ppl, capture EB keep and lose it after the IR time is gone. This ain’t a matter of being on the bottom, this is a matter of never being able to get out of it.

Here is the thing though. ET actually made a forum post in WvW Recruitment to get people to transfer to their server (congratulations on making it out of 24th ET, well deserved). Not only that but I remember a few months back that Kain and ET were the bottom of the barrel and we’d pretty much farm them. So now its reversed, were the ones getting outnumbered on a daily basis. I’m not going to complain about it mainly because we’ve only been 24th for about 2 weeks maybe? ET was getting farmed for months as they said and its true that they were getting farmed by any server they were matched with. Also, “never being able to get out of it” isn’t true as ET managed to get out of it, same with Kaineng when they were 24th (I believe this was before ET and EB started tumbling down the leaderboard) for a while. We AR players need to realize that yes, were on the bottom of the leaderboard and it is highly likely that we might be here for a while as sad as it may be. Don’t give up is all I can really say because again, ET was in this situation for months yet they stuck through the ordeal and now they are no longer 24th.

Oh jeez so AR has one of these people too eh? Well if anything like ET you have many like this.

I gotya here totally. Its definitely frustrating

Would be nice I think for this reason to have some mercenary guilds that can rotate in and out of different servers so that it can be more fair throughout the game.

But ya know ET played that role for a long time… We would often have a 5 man group against multiple AR groups of 30.

We just got to a point where we liked playing the game w/ each other, we never expected to win any matches and this surge is unexpected but welcomed after being the least populated server for months and months.

AR on the bottom for two weeks. ET’s been on the bottom for months and months.

In fact, it would really figure that the second ET is potential off the bottom that the Devs change the scoring system lol.

In seasons there are these tickets and season 2 said first place get more than last place.
Season 3 said, the more you win the more you get. And always including off season, you get the WEXP bonus boxes, more for winning than for loosing.

Not much, but obviously already enough to to speed up the natural concentration process, originating in people’s preference to win and not to loose.

Yes, it’s the players that move, but it’s ANet that make the rules.

And the rules are: More people win, and there is no penalty to concentration and a reward for winning.

Result: rather sooner than later all will be gone or concentrated on one server.

If you design a game, you have to foresee and counter that.

Except that there are no rewards to winning anyways and you are wrecking a superb game by concentrating. It’s not anet’s fault for people getting worked up over meaningless things.

If people understood that you are supposed to loose objectives and loose fights from time to time, ET would on occasion face blackgate and stale matchups would be no more.

There could be “traditional ppt scoring” and then something else based off of ANYTHING else.

I’m not sure if my guild is the ideal fit for ya, but I figured I’d throw [Nob] on Eredon Terrace out there in case.

So Nob’s WvW goal is to rally 4x a night with 15 skilled players running guild builds or approved alternates at your timezone. 15 is our “happy number” because we feel on the bottom 6 servers, we should be able to wipe any size group almost no matter what. Anything above 15 we feel makes skill and coordination less important. Currently, we rally at approx 12-14 on average.

I think what does make us a good fit for you, is we would likely want you on Necro at almost every rally. What I think makes us a less then great fit for you, is the lack of GvG’s on t8. However, I would like to work on that and maybe we can get a couple. I kinda doubt that we can get many GvG’s though.

So ya pluses and minuses but if it sounds interesting to you, you would likely be the last missing piece we need because we need that skilled necro. T8 is a lot different though.

Think its kinda humorous theres more worry about Mag than ET. Which kinda just makes me think why aren’t there adjustments made for seasons? Without em, they always make the populated servers more populated and the lower ones less populated.

On ET a lot of folks are like “dangit!” a season was announced! right as our numbers were starting to go where we want em to!

Mmm T5 is a whole different ball game, trust me :P.

ET is an amazing server that has a dedicated playerbase. They’ve been through more than any server NA server (probably EU server too) and they’ll continue until they’re clawed their way out of t8 by force if they have to. If you’re looking to transfer, and are for some reason so silly as to not go to Darkhaven, go ET, they deserve you!

Was nice though to have a reset where we doubled the points of the second place server about 4 hrs in. Thats saying a lot for a server that is well, dead last in the ranking.

I’ve been saying this for a while. People don’t like unfair match ups nor stale match ups.

This gives communities and chance to stay together while not dealing with the above two things.

Our main focus right now is a competitive but relaxed WvW zerg busting squad, but the guild in general still does a fair amount of PvE . We do guild missions for much of the whole server and like cooperating with the community at large.

Personally I feel like the game works amazingly well performance wise.

To Truearrow’s point as well, ET easily competes with servers well above their ranking during NA prime time. The reason for ET’s low ranking and rating are mainly due to very low numbers (nearing on noone) for just a couple hours per day.

ET is far from dead.

It’s not about lack of numbers. It’s about lack of organisation.

WvW is all about coverage and numbers of player on field if fighting with a huge gap in just a few minutes is only what it takes to loose and entire BL.

Whether you are brand new to the game or a seasoned Vet, Nob on ET is a great guild to join. Our current focus is to become one of the best WvW guilds on the server while also having a great guild environment. We are one of the oldest guilds on the server and want to help Eredon Terrace rise.

Our requirements are pretty limited, basically would like to see ya on Teamspeak and be engaged with the guild during WvW. We are flexible with builds so long as you have the desire to compete and you try to win.

Tier 8 really is a lot of fun, less blobs and more strategy are necessary in my opinion and ET is a fun server to fight for.

Well in ET’s case, we have anywhere from 25-50 on teamspeak during NA prime time and to be honest, at least nowadays organization isn’t the problem. Its definitely numbers and more so coverage. We don’t have the super most best organization guilds but we do okay.

Organization is not the issue on ET. I know because I play there.

And for the whole deal about new players, I always tag up if I am commanding. I don’t always like it but I do it for the new players. My guild has also done a lot of new player recruiting and strategy/training sessions to try to help our server as much as possible as well.
