An invisible bag prevents them from being being sent by deposit all.
not all of us have invisible bags?
and certainly you can buy mini-pets from BLTC right when you are level 1 and new to the game. You wouldn’t have the funds to have an invisible bag at that point. Nor have the in game cash to buy one. Nor have the crafting skill level, at that point, to make one.
i’m level 62 and don’t have one of these invisible bags… >.< Although depending on the price i might be able to afford to buy one off the trading post. i’ll check into it myself. But.. that “work around” is not really a fix.
Unless Anet starts giving a 4 slot invisible bag out to level 1’s too. So their mini pets are safe and easily useable from the start.
i’ve never even seen a delete all option in my inventory.. where is it? just curious..! or does it only show up when your inventory is completely full?
Finally, an armor skin that doesn't make me look like a boy...oh...

Agreed. i haven’t really seen NPC asuras look “girly” either. Their society doesn’t seem to be based on that. It seems to be based on achievement, not gender. And they don’t seem to have strong preferences on how genders should look. Their society seems very androgynous. And seem to respect brains over “sexy” (or even “cute” or “super manly”) looks as a culture.
As RoflandRoll said, if you wanted to play a race with more traditional gender-rolls you shouldn’t have picked Asura >.<

that said. i do wish the Halloween clothes being sold in the cash shop were skins for armour vs town clothes. but that’s a separate issue.
I completely agree. I think it would be nice to have a slot on your hero screen where a mini pet would go, just like a piece of gear. It wouldn’t be hard to do. You could have that one pet that isn’t affected and then they can just keep the deposit mechanic the same. I would love to begin collecting them but I don’t want to spend money on something that is just going to be a hassle.
this would be a perfect solution.
i love mini/vanity pets in games. But after buying my first two ‘random three’ batches from the Black Lion Trading Company, i realised that pets get sent away to your collectables when you are depositing other collectables… which makes them pretty useless. Since they’re always disappearing on me >.< so now i never use them and haven’t bought any more.
Having a slot on our Hero menu for a single mini-pet would be amazing. ^^ you’d still have to visit the bank to swap to a new one, once in awhile, but it would make using the one you currently want active much much easier.
would be nice ef thy arent mini, can barely see/notice them while running.
I want them by my side, tall as i am
Mame em big big pets
i think you are misunderstanding the word mini!
they are likely made small on purpose because one.. mini/vanity pets in every MMO i’ve ever done have been tiny/small. And so Anet is probably sticking to that look too.
second, you don’t want people to confuse them with Ranger pets or Necromancer imps or anything like that.
Awesome’s suggestion is true though. i’m almost the smallest size an asura can be and my mini-pets are nearly as big as me ^^
i’d love to be able to duel. Me and my friend are /not pvpers/. We’d just like to be able to duel each other when we are testing out different abilities we have and stuff.
We wouldn’t want to have to go to the “Pvp Duellers Arena” where a bunch of hardcore players are doing their pvp-duels.
We’d want to just go to some quite place in the game, a random field where pve enemies don’t really spawn.. and practice dueling each other alone.
Dunno why some people are so afraid of that.
As others have said, if Anet adds dueling they can add an Option to the Game Menu> Options window that says:
Auto Decline Invitations to Duel
Auto Decline Guild Invites
Auto Decline Party Invites
Really they already should have an option to auto-decline party invites i think. Then.. people who /never/ want to Duel.. or /never/ want to Party.. or never want to be part of any Guild never ever have to manually decline invitation requests. The game does it “silently” and automatically for them.
That sounds cool. And it seems like they already have some level of coding to do that since Sylvari skins have “glow in the dark” designs on them. So it would seem a matter of using that same technique with armour.
Of course.. i could see some people sort of abusing that by making their entire suit of armour glow like a neon beacon….
i think your idea of being able to sit in chairs is great. Of course the last three ‘new’ mmos i’ve played didn’t have that either. star wars the old republic and the secret world both have chairs in which players cannot sit in. and i think tera too, although i’m fuzzy on tera since i didn’t try to RP there.
i am not sure if its because its “extremely hard” to code in the ability to let players sit in chairs or something… or if really most players don’t care. i dunno. But.. like you, as a role player, simply the ability to sit in a chair enhances things a lot.
Asura can ‘stand’ on a chair and them play their sit animation /sit to make things kind of work. But the way female norn and humans sit doesn’t work because they sit with their “legs to the side” all lady like.. which means the ‘stand on chair’ then do /sit trick doesn’t work out for them at all.
To emote in gw2, you can just right /me instead of /e so.. write
/me felt her legs cramp, she’d been standing all day and would like to sit down, unfortunately all of the chairs in the land had been cursed and thus no one dared to sit in them.
would come out in italics and be prefaced with your characters name. in my case
DinoDoll felt her legs cramp, she’d been….
@player – What can you farm on level 2 toons?
i think Player meant if there is a “big reward” at the end of the Halloween Quest line. If the whole quest took place in a low-level zone only.. there would be people who create a character, run through the whole event… get the “big reward”, put it up on the trading post, to sell.. then.. delete the character.. create a new one.. run through the whole easy-low level event again.. get the big prizes at the end.. delete… create a new character… rinse.. repeat.
by making it necessary to go into “higher level” zones, it makes it harder for people to farm the prizes (if there are any – and of they are not soulbound or account bound) by making brand new characters over and over again .
Was it a bow you bought with “candy corn” from the vendor?
if so… those items are supposedly temporary. i heard that spider-bow (and other items you buy at the ‘candy corn’ vendors) is only suppose to last you 4 hours.. you’re like “renting it”.
Obviously you cannot transmute it, if that’s the case.
If its a spider bow you got out of a black lion chest (which means it suppose to be permanent), than ya.. there’s a problem .. and i believe you should be able to transmute.
Why should anybody be guaranteed a special/rare prize ! ?
Anet have always said the BLTC is not a pay-to-win aspect of the game. Mind you there other things they haven’t been honest about too, so lets not take that at face value. However, just because somebody is in a position to (or willing to) spend large amounts of real life money it does not give them the right to gain more than those who cannot ! ! !
Gaining something /cosmetic only/ is hardly “pay to win”.
The skins do NOT give you ANY advantage over “poor players” who cannot “afford” to buy skins or keys or whatever. They are a cosmetic, vanity, thing with zero-stats. They do not help you play better, level faster, run quicker, hit harder, or gain any advantage over other non-paying people.
Agreed too. With the random chance so low, i will definitely not buy any keys to unlock the BLCs. i had planned to, but fortunately i read the forums and heard about the basically impossibly low rate at which they handed out halloween stuff, so i didn’t bother.
i’d have happily paid $20 or $30 to open cases if the drop rate was high enough that i’d end up with at least one skin or two of that amount, but to not end up with any is unsatisfactory.
i think they could/should sell the skins outright in the gem shop anyways. i think for $20 to even $40 to pick the specific one you want.. would be fine. For example i’d love to buy the scythe for my friend, and would pay $20 to $40 directly to Anet to purchase that specific skin as a gift for my friend..
i’m not willing to gamble with such low odds at winning. Or pay the $65ish dollars its currently seeming to cost to buy off the trading post from another player.
i have never heard of a game that let you do that. but i also never played DC Universe.
When i first read your title i thought you meant respec as the term is traditionally used in mmos, which, in my mind typically means being able to redo your “trait/skill tree” or “skill points”.
never heard of respec being used as a way to swap profession/class.
i know wow lets you space race, i think even go from alliance to horde, but it doesn’t let you swap class. basically, i think, because its lame to have someone be… say.. a level 80 Ranger. And then swap to a Warrior and have /no idea/ how to play it. Because. of course, they didn’t level up as that class. they don’t know how to play the glass… but if you group with someone like that, you’re gonna assume they know what they are doing, since they are level 80. You don’t realise they are basically a newbie.
>.<
anyways! i think swapping classes is a bad idea.. unless they make you start the ‘new class’ from basically level 1 all over again. i’d think it was okay if the person still got to keep their crafting levels and dyes… but.. they would have to level up all over again.
I deal more damage than her and she loses out on a lot of kills even though she does hit the same mob(s) but all my skills are aoe so I end up getting more exp and killing more stuff even though that’s what the party system should balance out.
another suggestion is stop killing things so fast. Let your wife get some kills in before you start spamming your aoes and getting all the kills instead of letting her get credit. Just stand back, delay your attacks a second to make sure she’s starting up her damage.. then jump in second
i disagree with your suggestion that party members should get identical xp for kills. For the botting issue you mentioned as number one. but i also don’t think lazy players should be rewarded.
i’m not sure if i believe Nurvus on how downlevelling works between “effective level” and gear.
If it’s true i guess i’m such an /awesome/ player it doesn’t hurt me, which i doubt.
i am level 61. and i am actually wearing gear that ranges between level 40 .. and level 59. Or to be even more specific:
mask = level 59
shoulders = level 55
chest = level 57
gloves = level 49
pants = level 40
boots = level 48
short bow = level 46
long bow = level 45
…i am currently playing in Snowden Drifts which is level 15-25. Where i am in the area right now is causing my “effective level” to be level 23. Based on Nurvus’s theory, since my pants are /21/ levels minus my actual level (i’m level 61, they are level 40).. then while i am effective level 23, my pants are /still/ supposedly 21 levels below me. Which would make them (in Nurvus’s theory) effectively level 2 pants.
All my gear stats (while i am really level 61 ..in snowden drifts – with my current gear) would be:
mask = level 21
shoulders = level 17
chest = level 19
gloves = level 11
pants = level 2
boots = level 10
short bow = level 8
long bow = level 7
This seems very silly since i am completely /blazing/ through Snowden Drifts … in what is “super low level gear” according to Nurvus’s theory.
So either the theory Nurvus has presented is /not quite accurate/…. ooor… i am just a super awesome amazing player, apparently.

Example of the Ascalon Greatsword on a Norn and Asura…
why they have the grip in the belt?
oh wow.. great sword placement is really strange on the asura. i never played an asura with a great sword so didn’t notice. your suggested position is much better.
ust like wow , i think they should have a build that isnt so reliant on pets, “marksman” but being able to have them just because they do make up a small portion of the dmg.. just not all of it.
and i really dont see why they cant use rifles… if they were changed to wear they could use rifles. i would play one in a heartbeat.
out of curiosity..
if you don’t want to be reliant on a pet… and… want to be able to use a rifle instead of a bow. /why/ do you want to be a ranger at all? i mean.. there is already a medium armour class that isn’t reliant on a pet, and can use a rifle.. it is an engineer. So why not be that?
also “traits” wise, it seems to me that you can make a ranger build that’s less reliant on your pet. isn’t that what the “Skirmishing” trait does? Possibly “marksmanship” too?
i admit i’m not a guru when it comes to “best possible builds” for each profession, but it seems like there are options to decrease your reliance on a pet already.
PLEASE make it possible to pick up auction house items from the crafting table

it seems like usually there is a “trading post” npc near pretty much every area where there are crafting tables… so it doesn’t seem like that big of a hassle?
I’m confused, what exactly is the problem you want fixed??
The problem is, in character creator you can only pick from the ‘starter colours’ to dye your hair-accessory. So like if you pick a pony tail hair, you can only pick to colour the “hair-tie/barrette/headband” from the starter colours.
The starter colours are no where /near/ as complete as the full dye options in the game.
So, say i pick “blue” for my hair accessory in character creator.. Later on in the game i buy/find/make a brilliant orange dye and i dye all my armour orange. NOW i’m stuck with a stupid unmatching hair-accessory. That is not orange. i couldn’t even plan to make it match in character creator since there isn’t even a proper orange /in/ character creator to colour the hair accessories anyway.
i have the same problem. i picked purple for my original hair accessory, now.. when i dye my armour, in game, a deep red, my hair accessory looks completely stupid being stuck purple. Especially since i picked the asura “two buns” hair that has the long dangly hair piece. So its very notice-able that it doesn’t match.

i’ve seen a few other suggestion threads about this though.
I’m not even asking for them to be disproportional, just a bit bigger. All the other races have the weapons sticking out above their head a bit. The hilt of my sword ends near my shoulder..
Ya but don’t you think that is because other races have much smaller heads than asuras?
What i mean is… proportionately an Asura’s head is about 1/3 its body size. The human heads are about 1/7th their body size.
Mm. i did a quick picture. The first is approx. human proportions in this game, the second figure is approx. asura proportions. The ‘blue-teal’ line is a weapon.. likely a staff.
The weapon line is the same length as the entire height of each figure..
Because of Asura proportions of having large head, long neck, short torso/body… if you stow the weapon/staff so that it “pokes out higher than the asura head”, you have to stow the weapon VERY high on the back/shoulder. Like… so high that it would be “top heavy” and not very secure, if you were being realistic.
Notice how far /over/ the shoulder height the staff goes on the asura. Over half the staff ends up being “above” the middle line (where back/shoulders meet)…
Comparatively the human figure’s staff, when stowed, can easily extend above the head without becoming “top heavy”.
- -
i suppose overall asura weapons could still be made bigger. Although i haven’t ever personally had issues “seeing” them in detail at their current size. i have a fairly large monitor though… maybe people with smaller monitors could have trouble.
also even on my human it seems my weapon is “smaller” when stowed (on my back/hip) than when i have it drawn/in combat stance. So, i think like someone suggested in another thread, stowed weapons kinda ‘scale’ based on the races torso.
Armors looks boring on Asura. Sorry to say this but in comparison to other races. It have big differences.
Screenshot below are the SAME armor I crafted and I put on preview between 2 races. You decide which one looks best.
to me, in your example the Asuran armour looked best. But.. i /hate/ sexy armour. Its one reason i love playing asura, because the ‘sexy’ versions of armour seem to be less revealing on the asura. In your example, though, even the headpiece on the asura looks better to me ^^
i also don’t mind the tiny size of asura weapons, but perhaps that is because i have a large monitor? i dunno. i have never felt i had any trouble seeing the details on my weapons.
sorry you all are unhappy though!
