Oh man another post I need to preface with “these are my thoughts” so that my server mates dont put the ball gag back in. Oh Boy here goes.

Your going to get from a server what you put into it. Any server telling you they will just take you right in without knowing or talking to you…are full of it.

Thats why I have encouraged anyone wanting to move to come meet us on TS, by guesting, or by coming to our forums. Because this wont work for you no matter how many times you move.

Also any guild looking for people on this forum that is not new, well, you are most certainly going to be a number. If your getting in on the ground floor thats one thing. Transferring over to slot into a zerg or roaming crew…totally a different thing. Grats, your hammer stun #43 now.

If I were looking to leave a server I would spend time figuring out what the overall personality of the server is by jumping around their TSes and listening without doing much talking if at all possible.

I would very much NOT join some guild full of people I dont know, I would pug for at least 1 month, probably a few until I found a group that had my interests and play style.

And I wouldnt do it because that server was free. Sure thats nice, but this is a long term, hopefully permanent thing your doing.

To have a fun fight you need to move to GOM server so you can fight all the other servers that are fun to fight.

If you like particularly Borderlands Havoc and Defense, we are a GREAT choice for you.

We are in need of more SEA/OCX COMMANDERS if you are a driver looking for a crew, we are a GREAT choice for you.

Jeknar, this is why ET isnt getting much in the way of transfers, you keep making yourselves look bad by trolling other people’s threads.

Bleh, didnt realize DH had lost that many. Crazy since you had a real shot at this thing seeing as Ebays drop kicks out NSP. I knew FC had lost some. Dr I know has picked up a bunch (so hopefully that takes them from Ghost town to semi-normal) and I have a sneaking suspicion that AR has picked up a few as well. ET I am not sure. They beat me out for Allstar’s little 10 man I know that.

To my knowledge we have picked up about 20 guys. a small guild group + panda’s pull ins.

My personal hope has been for us all to end up something like even from this. THAT is where the fun lies, in fighting fair fights on the open field and not having to go into some sandbox to GvG. That to me has always been the shining star of Bronze Leagues.

I actually really enjoy siege fights in keeps and towers too, but when you can pit yourself against someone else on one of the WvW maps and it MATTERS, that just the best.

Really dont want to make this into an argument, I can post more videos, I dont like doing that because all videos from everyone are of every time they are winning and are never an accurate portrait of WvW on the server, but I can very definitely show 60 mans in the borderlands.

Also im pretty sure outside of Kaineg we can all que EB sometimes. I dont even have to visit your server to guess that.

Im once again guessing you both play in EB only. We can only que EB. The other maps are held by small teams and fight 60 vs 20 on a very regular basis.

If I did not live and breath GOM I would give AR a shot. From the other side of the fence they seem to have their kitten together.

I have written many long lists of reasons to come to GOM.

SF in Bronze has the most people. DH is 2nd. We are about to beat them both in what can be called a precursor to the leagues. GOM for numbers is probably now 4th or 5th.

SF has definitive, large, numbers on us. We are holding our own enough to let our new morning crew walk away with this overnight.

We can use organized fun, cool, people who want to be in a family to join us. Its 10 bucks to come here because we might win.

Guys who want to run their guild group and kick some kitten extremely welcome.

You bring up another great thing about the server Panda, We all have different levels of committment. Some of us are focused 100,000% on WvW, some of us are casual, but because of our server rules, which are basically respect each other and do not be a jerk, we come together and do just what you said

Another thing thats pretty awesome about GOM is it has 2 completely different worlds for WvW. Theres EB and theres the borderlands, and they arent one homogenous blob of play style.

You can quite literally play in 2 very different ways on GOM, both having that same rule, dont be a bleep. And both successfully.

We dont want Egos, We want heros. Thats well said. And its very true, we are looking for more friends to play with.

But as a for instance Worm was covering our home borders, had to go to guild missions, and through communication we kept our borders whole and kept the waypoints they had spent a bajillion hours making whole (well until we logged anyhow)

We appreciate each others work.

If you bring 5 guys here and you DO SOMETHING we will appreciate that. If you bring 100 guys here and you DO SOMETHING we will appreciate that too.

Its not all PPT, we know the value of a good fight, we understand that that group in the open field holding 60 in place with 20 is VALUABLE we appreciate all playstyles.

You do what you do, Play where you want to play, and as long as you do it well with no drama, and we want you man, we truly do.

Why GOM?

Lets look at the tourney. We are currently fighting the 2 teams most likely to be in the running for spot #1 and #2 who are not us. (No disrespect to the other teams, but SF and DH still have numbers on the rest of us)

In WvW population, GOM is probably #4 or #5 in the Bronze leagues. But we HOLD OUR OWN ANYHOW.

Thats because this server has gone through and is well past its “Drama baby” stages and is a mature server full of people with a lot of fight in them.

Let me ask you, if your team gets Zerged, how many times do they come back to fight again?

On GOM, the answer is usually: 10 or “Until we win”. 10 times or so, then maybe we go switch maps and try to break up the zerg.

The reason we can do that, and its true of multiple guilds on the server, is because in our hearts we believe in ourselves. We think, even when its blatantly untrue, that if we just hold out we will either win the day ourselves or one of our allied guilds will show up behind them with some KY and a Roto-Rooter machine.

And because we think that way, it often actually happens.

We are very often outnumbered and outgunned, and yet, we still rise to the occasion. Isn’t that what you want in a server?

Is it perfect? Hell no. Will all your wishes come true and will you be able to kitten rainbows and have group sex tuesdays just because you moved here? Heck no….well maybe the tuesdays.

But, in my opinion, its about as good as it gets.

We want you and your friends to move here to get more friends to laugh and dance in the blood puddles of those silly people who made the mistake of thinking they could disturb our very important discussion of…what the hell were we talking about? Hey nice a precursor. OMG Real Fights! Forget the sillies! Time to stack, time to kill. Its Bombing Time.

Bronze Tiers, We were complaining about a 9 person que last night on GOM. We need people who want to play.

Kaineng really does need people. And I vouch that though small the community there does have heart.

That is the worst logic I have ever seen, when mid range servers come to lower servers to advertise for their server it shows a complete lack of character. They know our populations are suffering and we’re in need of transfers yet they are ignorant enough to come and try and poach what we do have. Yes it is very much skin off all our backs down here. If I were to transfer I wouldn’t even consider CD after seeing them advertising on lower tiers, HoD at least shows some class in this regard.

The worst logic like taking something that happened and applying it to all across CD and everybody in it? Somebody pulled the best troll ever on you. Calm down and step away from the keyboard. People in here telling you its a single action not server certified. Listen…….

One guild or the whole server doesn’t really matter at this point. They came recruiting and unfortunately for the rest of CD they started throwing around your Server name. It has reflected poorly on CD as a whole because of it, blame the guild that was responsible not they people who were upset by it.

We have indeed had some very recent transfers, (before this announcement, I feel for them actually heh) and as you can see, nights are no longer one sided.

With a couple of hardy back capping crews, our point tick no longer nose dives like some sort of kamikaze attack overnight.

GOM is in a really nice position especially if we pick up a few more guilds.

Hm, dont see where I said every BL has 100 man zergs. If you wish to say NSP’s main zerg is 40 guys thats cool. I have played NSP before though. NSP has, in general, more players than the servers immediately below NSP on the boards.

Theres a pretty significant break between populations at the 15/16 level.

If we as a Glicko Clique can end up with a dozen somewhat evenly matched servers, with everyone having some night presence and everyone having a decent shot at a weekly win, it will end up better for everyone in the end.

As much as I dont like losing, I dont like winning without competition equally as much.

Hi folks! Looking to move down the tiers?

First off, in Bronze League, 20-50 people is a zerg. The only ones rocking constant 100+ mans are HOD, NSP and sometimes SF.

Most servers can field 50-100 from time to time. But most “Blobs” will be sub 60.

“We got Zerged” means your 20 hit their 40-60. Your five hit 20 etc. Its a land of low skill lag and where the number 1 doesnt win the day for the most part.

This is true of every server.

The upside of Ehmry Bay dropping like a stone is that NSP and HOD will probably NOT be joining us in Bronze this time around. That leaves SF as the sole owner of something resembling a 24/7 zerg. And even they dont have a real “Zerg” like those of higher servers. SF vs X Vs X wont be one sided as were the HOD matchups. Hopefully Kaineg gets some players. Kain is the only server that truly has an overly light presence in Bronze. There are other servers that can state they are missing X or Y, but Kaineg is the only one missing X Y and Z. If you are a truly large, dominant, guild that wants to be the IT on a server, that’s your place.

There shouldn’t be many steamroll matches in a swiss matchup. Bronze is looking in fact to be wonderfully competitive.

Obviously, I want more butts in the seats on GOM, It is my server and its my very subjective opinion that its the prime real estate in the bronze leagues to move to because we are already set up to slot new groups in without much friction, but there aren’t any WRONG choices in moving down. As long as things end up somewhat balanced its going to be one heck of a tourney in the bronze leagues.

We are ALL small skilled guild groups in the borderlands on a community TS laughing and butt kicking.

If you want to rock 40 with 20, thats us. 15 with 5, thats us. To the CORE thats GOM. If you are those kinds of madmen, just open the gates.

Allstar, seriously, I know I have said it to ya, but your a perfect fit for us. What you want, we are straight to the core.

I actually really enjoyed fighting TBT even with the odds. I think you guys should come to GOM actually, we could use a guild that does set builds, we actually don’t have anyone doing that currently.

GoM is a fun server to play… it was really fun playing you guys in the end of last season, and gathering intel an carrying it out to keep things papered and flipped was a lot of fun. You guys do have a lot of players, but IMO may be a bit lacking on strategy. If I played on GoM as soon as that announcement came out I would have pushed to change server the wide strategy from high ppt to more open field fights at least for the week (and that’s not tanking, think of it as a deferred expense), giving DR a chance to pass GoM in score for the week end end up in 19th and have you to be under the price point for free transfers. But you guys went the other direction attempting to cap everything in sight displaying all the prowess of your t7 might; like the new season had already started or something. the 800 gem price tag is your reward for that. it is what it is. your fans will either pay it to transfer over, or wont. you’ll either get new folks in, or you wont. I guess to some extent that’s the way it is anyway, even w/ free transfers. I’m sure people will look at poor kain and wonder if it would be worth the price to transfer off if things don’t work out.

All 3 have had big transfers in in the past followed by major defections. I can name many more.

We want something different than temporary and totally illusionary supremacy.

We want guilds who wnt to stay. We were not willing to pimp out our principals as a server, And frankly if we were why would anyone want to join?

And, as I have said above, wont be moving somewhere just to have some other guild leave and have the server drop once again.

I could answer that pretty succinctly, but it occurs to me that doing so would give people a roadmap for beating us heh.

Soooo I will just say our WvW guilds in my opinion field about the same numbers regardless, our casuals though do rise and fall.

We had some fun fights with Zero and TBT this reset in your borders. Mostly even up or outnumbered by ya.
