I do wonder about who TW thinks is the most helpful to them on JQ since taking up position as the premier WvW guild on JQ? Are you guys getting the cooperation you were expecting from the established community?
Fighting against Dragonbrand is reasuring and yet utterly predictable. On reset from a position of equilibrium, Mag and SBI server held our own and the matchup on reset was quite interesting. It was exciting, there was action, mayhem and good times all around.
And then you check in at 11 am eastern and find out that DB once again nightcapped the whole wvw pie leaving 2% between SBI and ourselves. The infamous PVD nighttime posse has come to town yet again baby!
Now from an armored up defensive position where they hold everything, DB can keep their hegemony doing during the day for a long time. anytime there’s a little bit of movement from a side, send a 50 guy zerg to crush it, then move on to the next assignment.
The worst is that i was expecting, even hoping to see general build/tactics/chuzpah improvement from DB, having been sent uptier from us ). Nope…. barely any surprises. The dragonbrand players are still a rather soft, zergy type. If they can’t beat something, throw 3-7 times more people at it til you grind it down to dust. ( kai and yak’s bend guys, in comparaison, are much better individually and don’t need to resort to these tactics to win) .
Such is the endless toil of living under Dragonbrand hegemony. You kill and you kill, and they keep on coming, without numbers. You wake up and all your progress is erased , just like an illusion, by the PVD colonel’s nightime brigade. But you get up, and you go back out there, and you make them pay for every inch, every offense, every lack of respect. Such is the way it shall be for the rest of the week.

All I know is that there are no excuses left. DB is “full” now a lot of the time so there’s no reason why we should let our garrison get waypointed every Wednesday. I don’t want to hear how we’re losing because of Southsun events or burnout next week—those things should affect other servers every bit as much as they affect us. The bottom line is we need more people who want to win and show it.
I find that many people don’t quite understand the intricate social dynamics involved with strengthening a community…..the talent is here…so are the numbers….it’s the integration that has been problematic….If you can’t inspire people to support your efforts while online, and especially offline, then you just throw hurdle after hurdle in front of yourself…..Unfortunately, few people are comfortable manning up to this facet of responsibility, let alone adept enuff to operate success….WvW isn’t about skill on the battlefield, that kitten is easy, it’s about social science, and knowing how to manipulate it

Shame we still keep losing numbers. Weekends tend to be bad for us but i am not sure if its because its a long weekend but our numbers are waning badly.
TC’s numbers are down too.
Likely a combination of the holiday weekend and the late-week push. On the other hand DB is extra-fired-up right now after how last week ended. We’ll have to see how it plays out as the week goes along.

Wow lots of FA guilds are leaving no wonder their strength is dropping. Their coverage suck right now. Alot of guilds are leaving, some we have great fights with like [BT] & [VK] they leaving to Blackgate. I wonder who will defend their homeland now, all that is left is what [RET]?
For past couple of days they seem to be outman all the time even during their prime time. Perfect time to take all their stuff :p
Reticle [RET] is staying on FA, it has become our home. We do not plan to transfer in the near future. Yes our numbers are downed i would say, but that’s ok! outmanned buff is soo much fun! XD Just the other day in EB we were out manned and i was like ok guys lets PV Door and people enjoyed PV dooring while a TC zerg roamed around EB FA had a community meeting last night and we believe that the split/ leaving of VK and leaving of BT will not effect us too drastically.
That’s funny, cuz where I’m sittin seems like BT pretty much carried the entire server… Guess time will tell

Yes – Thank goodness that Agg isn’t all kawky like most of the other recent transfers/a select few natives… And my goodness – they pack quite the punch! I think they are the only guild on DB currently in which I hear ‘GUYS – Agg is in the ruins, focus up’ in TS. And they’re not total jerks, which is also nice.
It’s great fighting them, and kind of nice that when they are on a map, they pull the turtles out of their keeps, lol

You delivered nothing but hate and drama in a forum that you don’t belong in. Being 3rd place in a tier that is highly competitive among all 3 servers hardly means anything. Just ask FA, they are skilled but have placed 3rd in tier 2 many times. Same with TC. Please stop the unnecessary drama.

If you want to keep T1 people out of your forum try keeping your people out of T1’s could do wonders.

Anyone’s allowed to post in any thread. Doesn’t mean they are representing their server poorly. If the actions of one person were to decide how a server was portrayed we would all be in a bad place because well every server has their bad eggs. Also keep in mind that just cause server’s aren’t in your tier doesn’t mean they can’t or shouldn’t comment.
You do know stei that posting something to discredit someone is not allowed in this forum, either try to contact the tc, fa , db community individually or try your luck in the guru forums.

We are still working on getting our people over from JQ and the process will take us a while- but a few of our people have gotten out to the borderlands since we started moving yesterday.

We have already transferred a good chunk of our active player base and all of our Commanders over (except for myself – I have to watch the fort for awhile). Seems like a great community – and we are looking forward to fighting with former allies, new allies, and former enemies (used to have some great fights with you when you guys were on SoS).
Repair bills have been astronomical this weekend… I guess we’re experiencing the full might of TC, now that their PVE/college population is back in WvW…

Back during the whole “Isle of Jaspenwood” thing, we had a lot more courtesy regarding your transfers than you’re having about ours.
Every post coming out of FA is just “Dragonwagon this” or “Brandwagon that”,
Show some class and get over it.
I’ve decided that Asudementio wanted an easy stomp (like he had when FA was in T3 – even after their IoJ transfers) . He (notice i said he, and not the whole FA) didn’t get the easy win and is bitter about it.
I’ve never seen anyone complain so much about an abundance of targets on the field and a decently competitive tier.
I don’t want an easy stomp but don’t let me persuade you otherwise. What i want is a competitive tier with well-mannered opponents, but i gave up on that long ago when i first saw how DB decided to portray themselves. No one i playwith enjoys easy fights, but we enjoy condescending kitteny opponents even less.
- TC/FA taking a break – so are people on DB. New PvE content, finals week, burn out, OP Arrowcarts, etc etc – those are not unique to your respective server. We’re ALL going through this.
- I, for one, do not care for T1 nor have understood the lure of it. Would it be an accomplishment for Dragonbrand to hit T1? Absolutely, I would be extremely proud of Dragonbrand if we ever accomplish that. But, like many servers before, people will get bored/burned out and eventually transfer off or stop playing all-together. T1 is where servers go to die – fact. It is an inevitablity that only a server’s community can remedy until a better system is put in place.
- Should Dragonbrand implode (for a second time) as many of you are wishing and hoping (don’t even try and hide it) – I welcome it. The most fun i’ve had is fighting our way back up with those that chose to rough it out after the exodus – it was tough, but gave us a sense of accomplishment and sculpted the core WvW community. Win or lose, every week was something new, every red name was different. Why do you think it’s hard recruiting guilds from Dragonbrand? I’ve only known of one major guild that left Dragonbrand since our rise back up – and some of them have already returned.
I am sure I can speak for most of my guild and hopefully most of Dragonbrand when I say, we’ve been there, done that and we’ll gladly do it again. Elephant Ambush, no matter how big or small, T1 or T8 and everything in-between, we will remain on Dragonbrand.

Does your guild know that you troll the forums like this and basically give people a bad impression of your guild? You seem pretty hurt. Instead of judging an entire server, like you have in your previous posts, why don’t you just continue doing what you “do” and go wipe some enemies on the field.
She’s not trolling in this particular post. There’s a long and storied history of Tier 2 servers picking a D-list celebrity to be their Supreme Commander. Kain had Flava Flav, but gave him up for Christopher Walken. TC has always had Supreme Commander Gary Busey, but we were “lead” by Lindsay Lohan for about a week (it was a disaster).

Rough life of a bandwagoner, keep working at it though, you will prevail.
The term bandwagoner is thrown out to every guild that doesn’t transfer to a T3 or lower server. CO had to move because we were losing players due to the toxic atmosphere that is on Kaineng. The constant negativity gets old after 2-3 months. Kaineng’s NA teams were under a lot of stress. Anyone that argues against that is a kitten The 3 NA guilds that could influence the change in PPT by a lot had to cover from 1pm EST – 2am EST everyday. We had no EU guilds and a very fair weathered server. I do wish Kaineng the best however, if anyone thinks I was going to let my guild die on that server just because of server pride you are wrong.
That would be a poor definition of bandwagoner since it was still bandwagoning when you transferred to KN be in T8 or T5 or whatever it was. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is negative folks, kittens, and fairweather players on all servers, there is no special place that is void of this type of thing, as the KN experiment has proven. Everyone that plays at weak points in coverage has a tough time, you are not a special snowflake.
I do not care you are transferring, I care that you are making it into a big deal like we should all feel bad that you are off to greener pastures, again. Save yourself some stress, as soon as you get everyone over to DB, start saving for your next move.
Give it a rest man… Every server here, if not every one in gw2 period, has tried to recruit at some point… No need be bent that some answer the call, whether for a week, a month, or a year…. Sensitive Sally’s are half the reason people end up leaving eventually… Maybe you should start saving, and find yourself a new home?
