Tsym wants to run large numbers they should leave. This is not the tier for them because for the most part our guilds run 20 – 30. I don’t know what BP is fielding but I know what EA does. Tsym may only be running 30+ (which I doubt I’d go with 40-50 adding in the pugs would be 60+) like they said but the amount of pugs following them probably doubles that. I understand why they are leaving they want massive zerg blob against the same. DB does not do that for the most part and this is why you aren’t meeting any challenge against us. If you split your zergs into two with the pugs following you. You might find more competition.
DB has the biggest zergs I have ever seen in any tier, I thought PRX &SF 60 mans were bad but NNK is madness, “NNK zerg incomming”, “How many?” “Over 9000” can be heard on TS, if I’m flipping camps in my 5man on an empty map, NNK dont send 5, they dont send 10 to make sure, they send a 50 man zerg to get the supply camp back and thats just a portion of the main force, my mind boggles at how big that guild is.
I am talking about NA prime time guilds. NNK-o’clock and TFV-timezone is a totally different time then NA prime time. During this time we que on all four maps it is DB prime time. NA time is our weaker time if not weakest time.

Really been enjoying these fights for the past few days. Yaks are bringing the heat and iam loving our fights with each other, they are hard and full of great tactics from both sides. Last night was just another great example of the determination of both Yaks and DB players. Keep up the great work!

This matchup has officially run it’s course and has become just plain boring now. I don’t know if I can take another week of this matchup it’s just the same thing every day
- 12AM-5 AM EST FA makes the maps green
- 6AM-12PM EST DB makes the maps blue
- 1PM-7PM EST Mag takes back there stuff and pushes both servers and for a while the battle is even.
- 8-11 PM EST FA wakes up and starts taking the majority of the map while Mag goes to bed and DB starts to trail off.It’s like clockwork now. Something needs to change.
Ya, it’s a pretty lame tier. My only hope for the future of wvw here is that eventually FA and DB get tired of being zerg servers and start actually doing roaming pvp and maybe eventually learn how to compete.

I would suggest people roll with more than 5-10 people stop banging their heads against a wall of 25+ people and roll with more people if they want to succeed in more in WvW engagements.
Why? Why should there be an artificial cap to protect these zergers? Whether you live or die should be based on skill, not based on anet coddling you so that you never have to get better. Whether it’s 10 people or 100, if they stand in the red circles, tough kitten.
It’s not an artificial cap, it’s clearly in the game.
If you are finding it difficult to succeed in WvW at its current state, you must adapt. You can continue to be frustrated that the current mechanics do not favor your particular play style, but you can do something about it in the interim (i.e., play with more people). Because until ANet decides to favor very small groups against large groups of players, I am afraid you will continue to be disappointed with the current WvW mechanics.

Beginners roll a few beginners, then think they’re not beginners…then while plucking daisies, they get grilled by a beginner group +3, and think it couldn’t possibly be their beginnerness that hath spelt defeat, because they obviously aren’t beginners anymore…Then instead of transcending their beginnerisms, they decide in their ultimate beginner wisdom, that the game should conform better to their beginnerological assessments of beginnerry….

perfect fix for the massive zergs: anet implement a no more than 5% population advantage on a map. That way regardless of time, maps are always basically even populated. Longer queues, maybe…force players to stop stacking on one server and spread out on them all.

Gotta say that i’m getting pretty disheartened with the whole pvdoor scenario. last night before i crashed we had DB and EB solidly behind us.
YB did have a decent lead, and you guys came out swinging hard at the reset.
But the majority of that lead stems from the tactical decision by Dragonbrand to only flex NA guilds in three maps. We decided to leave YB bl alone for the evening, and EBay apparently followed suit or had trouble setting up any kind of foothold there.
Had Dragonbrand decided to flex major forces into YB bl, and leave EBay bl alone for reset night the score would have been closer.
EBay is still trying to dislodge DB from their homeland as we speak.
How is that a “tactical decision” when DB can clearly outnumber both servers combined during off peak hours?
You can do as much tactical decision making all you want during the day, it doesn’t change that fact that your server is playing PvE mode at night.
Whether u wanna believe it or not, these kinda cancerous thoughts directly, and indirectly, impact the success or failure of your peers… Buck up lil trooper and keep fighting, you have some good players in your game, no need dis their efforts

Guess what? DB and EB use this invuln spot, too. And Mag, FA, TC, etc. Yeah it sucks, but it seems to be part of the game until Anet fixes it.

Standing there isn’t an exploit. It might be unfair that the invuln area extends under the cliff like that, but you can clearly see them, they have to move out from that spot in order to do anything and you can clearly see they have the invuln buff. It’s no worse than if they were grouped up at any other entrance and keep running back.
I can think of multiple scenarios where this can be unequally advantageous to the users….but I can sum it all up by saying: “time is money my friend”

Just going to throw this out to Yaks Bend, all servers have exploiters, that’s unavoidable. But do you honestly believe that after what happened yesterday, and the amount of times you have been portalled into inner SM that DB has not been checking over and over and over every single place with Stonemist? Do you honestly believe that the mesmer has been going unavoided for hours on end? We literally have been keeping 10-20 people in SM inner constantly searching and waiting for the mesmer to portal you in.
I’m not here with any evidence of the mesmer himself wall exploiting, it’s the wrong place for it. But can you be so naive to think that he is legitimate? Please, stop accepting his portals hours after we have flipped SM. There is honestly no place we haven’t checked, we have found several exploiting in the walls, but I’m not here to report that mesmer. I am here asking you, as a server, stop accepting the portals of an exploiter.
Wispy, I invite you and anyone else for that matter, to go register at yaksbend.com and read our public forums concerning WvW. We do not tolerate cheating, hacks, exploits, whatever. You will find post after post of our commanders preaching to anyone that will listen, that this is not how we roll, and this is not the reputation that we want. We want to keep the play real, win or lose.
If you can provide a screenshot of anyone on Yaks Bend exploiting, cheating, or hacking, I can guarantee you they will be dealt with quickly.
We pride ourselves on being competitive, having a never-say-die attitude, great community, and a zero tolerance policy on cheating, or even something that would be considered ‘shady’. (ie, going into another servers voice chat and relaying to our commanders what they are doing.)
We can’t control everyone, and we do our best to let everyone know that this is not tolerated. If a Yak’s Bend player is seen cheating, we would actually welcome and encourage you to send us screenshots, preferably to yaksbend.com, so we can take action. I fully understand that getting screenshots can be difficult, but you have to understand that we can’t take action unless we have indisputable proof. Because, as has been pointed out already, as unlikely as you feel it is because of your extensive sweeps, there exists the possibility that someone has found an effective legit hidey-hole.
Having spent hours running with just about every commander on Yaks, I would find it extremely difficult to believe any of them would instruct anyone to utilize a portal created by a mesmer that knowingly exploited/hacked thier way into a building. As far as they knew, it was legit.
Just my 2 cents, take it for what it’s worth.

It doesn’t matter if you fellas argue…your off prime time presence will carry you. No skill required from the NA DB folks. No coordination nothing. Just go out die over and over again. Zerg hard and be rewarded when ya wake up in the morning for being horrible.

It is with great sadness that I want to announce that Win Everyday(WE) is moving from Darkhaven to Dragonbrand. We’ve been with Darkhaven since the release of the game(three of our commanders are among the first ten on the server), we have helped build up the server since the DHU alliance tore the heart out of Darkhaven’s WvW forces, we helped again after Darkhaven reached tier4 and was destroyed. But the situation for Darkhaven’s organic WvW scene is worse than ever before. After the DHU fiasco Darkhaven had RE, GoF, SE, HoT, HVN and WE ready to step in and rebuild.
Now? GoF is gone, SE is gone, HoT has more or less retired from WvW, HVN has folded, RE is leaving.
This would not be crippling for Darkhaven, if it had another group of guilds waiting in the wings to save the server. But it does not. I’ve watched closely, putting hours into WvW every single day since release. Guilds like Omen, DRoW, SoS all had potential to really aid Darkhaven’s WvW scene, but none have reached critical mass, and each has somewhat withdrawn from WvW.
WE have tried the alliance game. We’ve tried the server-community website. We’ve offered a public mumble to everyone on Darkhaven. There has been little to no response. We’ve coordinated and communicated with anyone and everyone on the server who are willing. And the vast bulk of the server doesn’t care. Their version of WvW is simple. Enter WvW and ask, “Where is the karma train?” If there is no karma train, leave WvW. Defend? Not a chance.
And we’re done trying. It isn’t worth it anymore. Darkhaven is a PVE server at heart. BURN, DHE, TRA and others all have hundreds of members, and have little to no desire to do WvW.
To that small band of loyal fighters(those who respond to defensive calls, and leave the karma train) we’re sorry to abandon you. Silverback, Skap, Togochubb, Lokii, Flint; Omen, DR, PD, EXE, PaK members, and a few others I’m sure I’m forgetting. We’re sorry. You guys all deserve so much better.
WE like working with you guys, and hope you’ll consider coming along to Dragonbrand.

A question for our friends over at Mag. Last night there were a group of 8-10 of you running between Speldan and Anz in Eternal Battlegrounds. Every one of you had some sort of perma ghost buff that made you glow translucent blue while running and fighting…and you were hard as heck to kill. None of us on the receiving end of your punishment could seem to figure out what buff or elixir that was. Care to enlighten us?

It’s not the habit, it’s just one of two channels of information available during combat in a video game – video and sound. Everything else is a product of experience. To quickly get a grasp of opponents’ build major characteristics, to predict his actions and act accordingly.
I know this is going to blow your mind, but you don’t need to CONSTANTLY see your opponent to know where they are (or where they should be, if they are to continue to be a threat). I don’t know how many times I have to repeat this for others, frankly I’m beginning to think you don’t believe me enough to even try to change yourselves.
And it’s not experience that lets you just read someone else’s patterns from partial clues/observations, that’s something you CANNOT just learn with time. That is all on you, your natural talent and quick thinking and your ability to have what I call ‘battle calm’.
I don’t know how much more clearly I can put this, because when crap hits the fan, there are those that are rabbits and those that are tigers.
EDIT: Purposely seeking out crap-hit-the-fan situations is a good way to help yourself. Maybe if any of you do that enough, you will begin to understand what I mean about fighting with your mind.

You know full well of the rendering issues inherent to stealth, and how they haven’t fixed it in wvw yet, yet all the videos I see are in wvw.. (I may be wrong, I haven’t watched your whole series)
You know full well that along with that advantage, retargetting you takes additional time, time you don’t have to waste on most classes, and you capitalize on that with the thief elite. (as do many)..need I even mention the loss/redirection of local fauna and npc aggro?
If you misplace your Zatoichi judgement on other stealth classes, you have a stealth counter to fall back on and reset the encounter
CnD doesn’t even require you to leave your current target to trigger (at least from what I can see)
Healing while stealthed, condition removal while stealthed….pls hug it more
Your playing a behind the curve build, whether you wanna admit it or not….Do your server a favor and scout enemy zerg positions or something useful, and stop trying to showboat something that like 500 other thieves can’t do in their sleep

Stealth builds are great for beginners…. It’s a confidence boost when u need it…allows u time to think instead of react…gives u the luxury of recovering from mistakes… And most importantly, promotes an avenue for disengagement for those who take dieing personally.
The pistol is a cute touch

So it’s not that ‘stealth’ is great FOR beginners, it’s great for PUNISHING beginners, unless those beginners aren’t overly reliant on eyesight. And since the overwhelming majority of the gamer demographic is males, most do rely too much on eyesight alone – males are biologically very visual-oriented creatures.
And trust me when I say this, this isn’t speculation or opinion. Human males are visual-oriented, human females are much less so (they rely on other senses more and their more primitive thought patterns ARE inherently different from males). But I will not get into the details of this here, PM me if you wish to continue down this line.
