Okay, heres little old me running around trying to get map completion done in WvW. I think its hilarious that I get zerged by 10-20 people that chase me down and kill me.
Would some explain why I matter that much?
What exactly were you doing to signal to opponents that you were looking to do map completion?
What’s to stop someone else like a scout from doing the same thing.
The only time WvW is PvE is when it’s PvD. You enter the portal to WvW and you’re not in Kansas anymore.
I have to agree with this guy. ANet put vistas and points of interest in WvW for a reason — they wanted it to be a risk to get all of them. You enter WvW and it’s fair game anywhere, whether you’re exploring, doing the puzzle, or whatever. You could be scouting for your team, or trying to get free seige by getting map completion. In a war, it wouldn’t be very smooth to let the enemy have free seige, no?
Sorrow’s Furnace here to say we’re glad about staying in Tier 8, moving up 22 ranks wouldn’t be very smooth ^.^
Nice!! The spirit is appreciated. Please remember this next week…

Bring cookies, and all of the above is meant in fun
Ah, we’re happy to be in T1 with you, Kaineng. Just remember while you’re beating the hell out of us to leave some room for our improvement — it won’t exactly be easy moving up 22 ranks Cheers mate, and of course, best of luck!
Of all things wrong with SF, I must agree with Gisei that our most difficult area is teamwork and coordination. This is likely because many SF players are very new to WvW. Every day I try to encourage more of the server to start playing WvW — eventually I believe these new players will become more experienced, and thus able to follow directions better. Right now I’d say we’re Tier 7 material, but when these newer players begin to understand the basics of WvW, we could really take a bigger stance in the rankings.
Then again, it isn’t all about winning for us. Winning just means harder opponents to face next time, and a bigger queue. What I truly believe would be the best WvW experience is to see the community working together, whether we have 0 areas or all of them. Hopefully we don’t get caught up in the fact that we’re being destroyed next week too much, at least long enough to realize that we’re still a team and no amount of losing can change that. We fight for fun, not to win.
meh, you guys deserve it.
I know that spawn camping ruins all of the fun (trust me, I’ve been spawn camped for hours in matches before), but you must understand that in some circumstances it is absolutely necessary. For instance, yesterday Ferg kept pushing straight for their keep for a while, we defended it as best as we could at the keep, but without upgrades it was only a matter of time before the gates were breached. We needed to spawn camp in order for things to cool down before pulling back. Things like this happen all of the time when we need to block reinforcements to hold our ground. We are always trying to improve in ways like that to prepare ourselves for the many weeks of fighting stronger opponents ahead.

TAC does not support hacking/exploiting. We have been on Eredon for a long time, and have never resorted to exploiting. We will tell our members not to participate in it as well.
Thanks for the response — I’ve never personally seen a TAC involved in glitching, but I’m glad to see one of the officials has it under control anyway.
Best of luck to ET and FC in your new tiers when Friday arrives, after 3 resets with you fellows, my comrades and I are happy to move on. Regarding those who are upset about this match and Sorrow’s deep winning margin, don’t worry. It looks like we’re heading into Tier 1 next week due to the rating reset, where we will be destroyed until we get to a tier that accepts us. We’re saving you that trouble
Eredon Terrace, please tell your mesmers to stop glitching into 10 o’clock tower (Longview) on your borderlands. On numerous occasions I’ve heard my comrades complain about it. I’ve told them all to report any glitchers accordingly from now on.
On the first day of Wintersday Anet gave to me….
Nooooootttthhhhhiiinnngggg!
Shoud we leave it on the retrying screen or close it and try again later please?
Leave it.
Mine is downloading now after waiting on the screen.
My client is finally downloading. U jelly noobs?
Guys, stop complaining. There’s a bunch of people trying to download this at once, of course there will be some problems. Nothing that patience cannot fix…
As I said before, go to the bathroom or grab a snack or something. It should only take a few minutes.
I have this problem as well.
Take the time to get a snack or go to the bathroom guys should be up soon.
Today, I finally lost track of the amount of people who have Alt + F4’d out of a battle against me in WvW. Why ArenaNet has some sort of bias toward cheaters is unknown to me, but nonetheless we as a community need to make this game better for those who play fairly. Thus, my suggestion.
ArenaNet, please make it so that players who log out or exit the client in the middle of a battle stay in battle. It’s very unfair when I have a downed or low-healthed opponent and they get pixel-hungry and decide to log out of combat. The obvious flaws that are in the system that we have now are absurd.
First of all, it effectively destroys repairing armor, as players will gladly Alt+F4 out of any situation in which they’d die. This is one of the most reliable gold sinks in the game. ANet created all gold sinks to balance the amount of gold in-game. Without armor repair, the value of gold would drop immensely — as more players figure out that they could do this little trick, it drops more and more.
Additionally, it’s unfair to the players that should have successfully gotten the kill. You should rename the Gift of Battle to the Gift of Jumping, as most people get badges from jumping puzzles in the first place — but now, you won’t be able to get badges at all from killing players, because you won’t be able to kill them! How convenient. You might as well also rename WvW to NPCvNPC, because no players will actually die, remember? People could just exit their gaming client! Maybe we should get badges of honor for dying instead of killing, because we’re honorable enough to stay in battle. You should also take away all WvW kill achievements because they will be nearly impossible when all players are exiting their clients…
Seriously, I’m not sure why this hasn’t already been implemented. Leave the players in-game for at least a minute after they exit their client while in battle. Common sense.

and you have no idea how much effort the design team put into making the game as friendly as possible to all players by removing aspects that would grief them. Downleveling also makes all content relevant.
Refer to the original post to figure out my thoughts toward grieving, as I did state that I agree with the entire post.
Hopefully we’ll be seeing some end-game quest content such as taking out the other Elders, in the same way that ANet added Guild Wars: Beyond content to Guild Wars 1.
Which, by the way, was fantastic. I fell in love with Winds of Change, and I’m very upset that ANet didn’t decide to finish Beyond. But anyway, my annoyance with ANet is beside the point — hopefully they will add some additional content because of the great reviews that Beyond had in GW1.
I support this OP’s idea.
Either get rid of leveling entirely or don’t downscale us. I gained my levels for a reason, and I can guarantee you I didn’t earn those level just to be scaled back down. Whoever thought of downscaling levels obviously didn’t realize the amount of effort we put into our levels.
Store at least some of your gold in your account vault — when you waypoint without the required cash in your inventory, the cash will be taken from your account vault anyway; no banking needed.
Or at least I’m pretty sure it works this way.
Quickness wouldn’t be a problem if all three downsides were combined and applied on every form of it.
That is to say, no healing, no endurance, AND +50% received damage. DONE. It is now balanced. Nobody will ever use it because it’s pure suicide – as it should be considering how ridiculously borked +100% DPS is.
I agree with this post in all of it’s entirety. In Guild Wars 1, the skill Frenzy gave only +33% attack speed, while you received +100% damage. This was a very balanced skill; still used in certain builds, but not completely overpowered (like quickness). I don’t see why ANet decided to take away all of the necessary deterrents that perfected Frenzy and call it “quickness.”
