Sanctum of Rall Server
(edited by Eurlin.4256)
We have the absolute worst sense of sportsmanship. It’s the blame game all day on chat, most players don’t want to bother because they don’t want to try. So they’ll blame everyone else instead of playing everyday. No one likes to lose….but someone will. If you don’t try it’s going to be you. IF Tsym is taking all the organized guilds off Dragonbrand I say good riddance, half of them gave up after day 2 anyways.
No such thing as server pride on this game with the transfers, but I’d happily stay and try my best to put Dragonbrand back in a good light instead of running away.
(edited by Eurlin.4256)
I’m actually really tired of watching reviews instead of reading them. Why can’t we keep some things old fashion? like beating our wives for not making dinner on time.
There was no reason to bring that info into another thread.
with that logic, you shouldn’t be able to catapult your own door.
Go to an NA server! be the difference between a loss and a win! PS Dragonbrand, you’ll make a difference
Wait, so are you looking to transfer to a server? or not lol
He could tell stories about his fight at the alamo all day, I couldn’t care at all honestly. That’s 1 keep and as he was saying the last keep. So if we had everyone defending this place for 3 hours, and you guys were at 600pts…that just proves that the maps were empty like was stated or we were getting our kitten beat. Either way we had outmanned buff, and were being farmed in one spot on each map.
I wasn’t there I was/am at work. I just know what the forums say, which was…..we were in trouble people gave up, (the lack of queue last night also proved that) and it sucks that it happened, but I’m not blaming BG for our servers faults. It’s why we lost last week and it’s why we’ll lose to any big 24/7 server.
As long as I can enjoy some PvP and try to rep Dragonbrand on WvW like I do every night. I’m fine with it.
I’ve enjoyed the fights all week and I can attest that Mr pickles has not been smack talking. Some guys from Dragonbrand have however and it’s gotten pretty quiet from them now. I said on monday that they were counting their chickens kinda early even alluded to the fact that we didn’t have our full representation. Now Urge and RQ went on a bender. We got some morning coverage to match what DB had and look. DB has all but given up the ghost.
If you guys would have come out in force yesterday evening you could have kept yourselves in the game. Instead you could barely hold onto a supply depot all night, actually you did get your tower back in FA Borderland before I went to bed. It’s always easy when you are winning. I figure you guys for scrappesr that would fight even when down. Don’t make me wrong about that, come back and fight. You lost a lot of ground yesterday, don’t lose face tonight.
You know believe it or not, that was the hardest thing int he world getting GB back. It was like pulling teeth to get people to come out. Once we got the gate to 65% people started swarming in though! It’s all about the glory, never the hard work
Good for BG on getting some European servers! Next time let us have one
I won’t lie it’s a bit demoralizing to see no one on Dragonbrand stay longer than 30 minutes to fight it out, but I guess that’s how things go. People left us when JQ kicked our kitten and people will leave us when another well rounded server comes in. We had queues for a few days, not all of prime time…but pretty close. Now I can jump back in whenever I want. Just no one else to play with except Atac, and my guild.
It’s all part of the game I really don’t know why everyone had to just up and go once they saw it happening instead of trying to fight. I had members tell me that everyone was in Lion’s Arch just crying about them instead of actually making a push on 1 borderland to at least get some points.
We’ll keep fighting and see how DB fairs next line up, maybe we’ll drop another tier and can kick those servers kitten and cheer up this server to get more than 2 guilds playing at one time.
PS with that logic, We teamed up with FA last night too when we attacked BG from the SW and they trebbed SM from Durios! Why? because we both saw an oppritunity and took it.
@Cheeks, I don’t think they are working together per say, I do think they’ll take advantage of the oppritunity to hit first place when possible together, but only because it’s strategically…..smarter. Why hit second or third when you can take first down a peg. It’s not cowardly because they’re fighting us at the same time, but it is to try and call them out on a legitimate tactic
lol @Vrumpt, You clearly haven’t been watching or even reading the thread if you think we only win because of “stealing orbs” PS we’ve been in first since friday
Last night and the night before the fights have been lackluster I’ve found. in FA Borderland, BG was being held to their spawn for a good portion of the night. Same thing happened today so we actually left the map to go to eternal, and ended up taking SM from FA after they stole it from BG lol.
The match up is still..interesting like I said, but not so much close. BG has a late night cew, and we have the morning crew, FA has a….FA can have a hug from us afterwards
Honestly, I think it’d be less fun. We’d have less players because as stated the bandwagon. More people would cry about how unrewarding it is. Without the score board I’d be some guilds would just trade off keeps and such for better karma and such rewards.
WvW would probably just be a bigger SPvP room in my eyes. Less so because even in there you get points to win by.
it’s intended, you just gotta figure out how to take them out. (it’s a secret)
Back on topic, We’re doing pretty well against both servers. I’d say blackgate is putting up a better fight on FA borderland, but we’re still getting hit hard from both sides constantly. This match up is definitely more interesting than last week though
@TSym, I gave you an explanation on what I found to be problems with your leader, I apologize for taking this thread off track as badly as it did. That was not my intention as I initially only wanted to give an update of what happened over the weekend in just 1 borderland. I put Coron out there mainly because his guild is constantly gloating, and as everyone has pointed out…that’s in bad taste. With every glorious moment you think you’ve had, there are just as many bad moments that you’ve made. It’s part of being a leader.
With that said, it’s important we don’t start to bicker between as a server. If Coron wants to lead that’s fine, I personally don’t believe his tactics are great, but I’d love to sit in on a fight and see how he handles things. If I find I can give some advice, or even take some from him. I’d be happy with that as well! Being a leader isn’t just about the blue icon, or leading your own Guild, I know other guilds lead 15-20 people of their own without the need of an icon. If someone wants to spend 100G on that for their guild go for it!. I know we might ourselves eventually.
I’m very serious, if you feel the urge to prove yourselves or something, then feel free to pass me the info to listen in. I do believe if someone buys the icon, they bought it because they want to win, they want to help the server. I’d happily do what I can to make sure everyone can.
He gave the orb to Blackgate at the best keep to hold…when it’s soooooooo much easier to snag from up north.
He ran kitten first into the Garrison Water entrance so many times instead of trying to push from Longview (PS they wiped everytime)
He stands there in the spawn point with his guild instead of helping defend Green briar as we’re losing it because “they’re talking strategy”
Guy just runs around like a headless chicken, and quite honestly the only reason I know this is because you guys try to show off your guild, by saying how amazing you are in Team chat every 15 minutes “TSym, here to save everyone at DB” “TSym is going to to take the orb be ready!” (psst we have no alter) “TSym, we know we’re going to give it to Blackgate instead”
yea good to know you dragged our zerg pass possible points we could gain from, so we could help another server
That’s just this weekend honestly
I was talking more about the captures of the north because as I also stated, we sent 15 players to attack cliffside and managed your gate to 5% before losing all our siege to the amount of catapults and ballista you guys had there!. They had the option to take either GB or Cliff, they chose to sit at GB because you’re right it was closer to spawn and probably because they wanted to keep our points lower, but during this time FA would push from DB and take the supply camp. I mean if it’s a points game that BG was after…and you know FA is protecting DB with all they have…why not rush Cliff and get more points. That’s a very good defensible tower. plus access to another supply camp. I don’t mean to assume there was an alliance or anything don’t get me wrong. I believe servers are capable of taking advantage of their situation as well. I just thought it interesting in how no one took advantage of the sitatuion except DB players.
I mean I also remember being in Dragonbrand Garrison and defending from FA at Cliffside, and BG at water entrance, and then again at Longview. I never thought alliance, I just thought advantage of the situation…..and kitten why can’t we get more people lol!
I like the Guild mates idea, I’m not ok with the server idea. Makes spying too easy.
This was a fun matchup I thought so far. Some things I noticed I thought were pretty interesting took place in FA Borderland.
Coron The Moron decided to give the ORB to Blackgate in one of the hardest keeps to take.
FA took DB from us, as Blackgate took Green Briar from us, then both teams pushed us from opposite sides at the spawn entrance. At no point did they attack each other. We leave our spawn point.
Blackgate didn’t bother attack FA. We actually took the 15 people left on our server up to Cliffside to hopefully steal it, and pull in action since getting farmed from FA and BG at the spawn isn’t exactly a fun idea. FA held the fort as we couldn’t pull it off against all the siege and players they had there.
7:30 AM Dragonbrand players were talking about just giving up a Fortified Dreaming Bay so the alter would reset.. 10 AM I wake up, and we gave up everything on the map.
Overall, I say we’ve had constant pressure from both servers on this map, even when we had nothing, both servers never let up!.
Isn’t TSym the guild that kept saying in Team chat they were allies with crystal Desert?
Am I the only one that thought CD’s teams were a bit lacking in PvP? Personally only fun fights I had was against JQ Zergs. We were outnumbered, but at least it was an interesting fight. I mean no offense to CD players, but I know I never really saw a CD group and thought. “oh yea! here’s a fight” I usually just thought “Free badges” This could have just been bad luck on my part.
@Zierk, you’re so naive to think that top Tier servers don’t use exploits, or cheesy tactics to their advantage. Every server does it, your server does it. Every week 1 server dominates because other 2 give up due to AM presence and Team 1 talks trash until they get stomped following week.
Every explanation you need I think has actually been answered and shown in this thread alone. The Math, the quitters, the tactics, the focus on servers, the zergs…everything I think. I for one am a little disappointed we won’t be in Tier II, but no one to blame but ourselves really. We had the chance, but others gave up and didn’t care.
DB was ranked 6th last week, and we were down by 50k points. IoJ is taking 5th place and CD is dropping to 6th. this upcoming week DB will be Tier III which just means we’ll be stuck dominating yet again, and jumping up to 4th or 5th place pending on how Tier II does. It really sucks because we could’ve possibly kept our spot in Tier II if everyone didn’t give up day 2. Everyone saw the AM presence and thought kitten it. We’ll do better next week, and ignored the fact that we could’ve at least fought for 5th.
Not to mention that we’ve had CD on us since day 1 for some reason, and we’ve had 2 log in problems on 2 separate nights. One was first day where it’s crucial to define the dominate server. Which was a direct cause of a number of guilds to not want to participate in. So I’ll say it again… see you in 2 weeks maybe this time when we’re not doubled teamed we’ll put up a good fight
Here’s your math at 660 per tick you gain
2,640 an hour
63,360 a day
We’re on 4 days 20 hours according to that last post
63,360*4=253,440 (4 days worth) plus the 20 hours from today
2,640*20=52,800
Total score if you were constantly keeping us down* should be 306,240.
but it’s actually 258,344 which is roughly 47,896 points lower than you should be, and that’s lowballing it considering you took everything yesterday. I mean everything you were at 695 every 15 minutes that’s 2,780 an hour.
So if you want the numbers to do the talking you’ve got 24 hours~ to make up for which in the span of 4 nights(prime time fighting) that’s 6 hours where you’ve been slacking
it’s ok if you can’t keep the math up
It’s obvious DB doesn’t need any help…exploits included. Seems like we’ve taken care of this matchup.
I don’t know why you’re proud of a 2PM fight again a door
Lol…you think that it’s just because of the time? Look at the score man are you blind? Both of you guys are being dominated right now, I’m proud of a lot of things. This must be the first time either servers have gone against any server with skill. Before you get your panties in a bunch let me explain what I mean by that: Our last match up was against HoD and SBI. Even though the only reason they knocked us down was because of the constant double teaming, they still possessed a higher quality of skill in terms of actual pvp confrontation (not just sieging). Inside Obsidian Sanctum (The Puzzle in EB) the fights were way more fierce against each other. Right now against CD and DB the fights are a breeze.
I think even though you guys are getting dominated, that exposure to a higher skill set is good so that you guys can each improve with experience and destroy the next tier you face.
You have quite the ego considering you’re in 4th place and DB is getting doubled teamed by you and CD(psst we’re still holding second) I’ve read the chat against JQ you guys are a joke in Tier 1, and think you’re hot kitten because you’ve been taking keeps in the latenight/morning.
DB alliance jsut admitted they haven’t been attempting to fight back since the weekend. CD admitted to attacking DB for second place. So I think you are either not reading the forum, or really are full of yourself. It’s ok keep thinking you’re hot stuff I can’t wait to see you in Tier II again 2 weeks from now. so you can feel good about yourself against a door
It’s obvious DB doesn’t need any help…exploits included. Seems like we’ve taken care of this matchup.
I don’t know why you’re proud of a 2PM fight again a door
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a good match up, but my point was you can’t expect one if you give up a few days in and then hope the following week would be any better, because it’s based on a scored system. if Tier 3 team comes up and out scores both us and we let CD get ahead of us (which is stil possible) then we drop to a tier III bracket, and we’ll be dominate yet again cause the same problem. That’s why I think it’s always worth trying even if it’s only for a small gain every night. If you want to make this flawed system work you have to at least try your best at it.
I’ll keep fighting because honestly last night CD was ahead of us for a few hours and if they kept that up and JQ let them…we’ll be on repeat for another week with everyone just bored of owning everything
CD quit day one as well
You call pansy gamers, but you just admitted that half our server gave up after one night of fighting. Granted it really sucked none of us could log on for an hour that night, but you can’t call out someone else after saying you gave up..
Also giving up just ruins the system even more. Why not put forth the effort every night and try to help balance the system. Who knows maybe next week we’ll end up losing, but at least it’ll be better than dropping down 2 tiers and justkittentheir face and then repeating the method until you and other babies are happy again
I remember that garrison log out, We were on the Northwest Gate about to push in, when we all got kicked lol Dragonbrand was sooookitten when it happened. we lost any chance of getting into the garrison after that.
DB has honestly just been pushing hard on JQ at Greenlake hoping CD would take back Garrison and push on Askallion hills, but when we saw you guys weren’t even taking back Stargrove…we stopped caring about helping CD out
lol TC is just getting revenge from being farmed last rotation.
Every server does this, just accept it and take another exit out the spawn point
Those pictures mean nothing unless they are during peak time when you’re actually against another server or both. Bragging rights about hitting an empty door
great job guys
Guild: Vengeance
Tag: [VNG]
Focus: Casual and Semi – Hardcore
Time Zone: Mostly EST and PST
Website: www.VengeanceClan.com
Overview:
Vengeance is an international gaming syndicate focusing on team orientated gameplay across multiple genres and platforms.
Mission Statement:
Vengeance is a guild of like-minded gamers pursuing a common goal. In the rather egocentric environment of competitive gaming, we strive for a guild before self philosophy, allowing for maximum support of our primary goal: to win. We achieve this goal through various means. Team-play, coordination, dedication, communication, cooperation, unification; beyond mere personal means, we also apply strategy and tactics, which include psychological and philosophical aspects that some may deem unconventional.
As we aspire to "win”, we need to do so in a fair way. A victory holds no bragging rights, if you cheated your way there. The entire gratification and satisfaction derived from a victory is demolished through cheating. As such, it is our agenda to adhere to a strict "fair play” policy that bans the use of any programs interfering with the game code, the game’s performance, or the game’s rules. In other words, we don’t cheat. We as a Guild abide by the technical definition of "fair” as the moral or ethical implication of it is a pipedream that is simply impossible to meet.
We hold our standards high. We expect our members to perform on the best of their abilities and we expect our members to work as a team; as a cohesive unit. Through our high standards and our close cooperation, we became more than a loose group of gamers with a common game, we became friends. We became a family. And those bonds reach beyond the game, beyond the computer. For those of you, who are interested in joining our guild, you can leave your application in the recruitment section of our forum, where we also provide an application form for you. Get in touch with us, join us in the game, get to know us. It is important to us, that you are the right fit, and as a natural result of that, that you are comfortable around us. We expect you to follow orders as a member. We expect you to be honest, dependable and proficient. If you can meet and accept those criteria you will find a welcoming, mature and competent family of gamers to call yourself a part of. If you can’t… there’s the door.
Guild History:
Vengeance has it’s roots in the earliest days of online gaming. Some member’s first started in gaming with the BBS systems. Moving on to MUDS, then graphical systems such as “The Sierra Network”, and “Air Warrior”. These were the days of paying $6 an hour to be logged into a game on the Delphi Network. “Ultima Online” was the first true graphical MMORPG that most of us played, and we’ve moved on through the various online games since.
RF Online
Vengeance first formed in “RF Online” in early 2006. We are the product of a merge between two smaller clans, “Nemesis” and “Eternal Chaos”. During this time, we were at war with our own faction as much as the enemy factions. We even called ourselves the “Fourth Faction” for a time. Because of this, the name “Vengeance” seemed to fit, and it still describes our playing style to this day. In “RF Online”, we proceeded to become the most powerful Cora clan on our server, and enjoyed the fear and hatred of our enemies.
SYN: The Synergy Project
SYN was founded in 2003 as a Star Wars Galaxies PvP guild on the Naritus server. From SWG, we moved to World of Warcraft upon launch on the Illidan server. We played on Illidan for about 9 months at which time we moved to the Dalvengyr server due to server instability and queue times. We played as both a PvP and PvE guild on Dalvengyr a few months into the Burning Crusade WoW expansion at which time most members began working on alternative projects and gaming interests.
With friends across various guilds and organizations SYN was brought back together with Vengeance in Age of Conan where our two guild’s merged together to create a single like minded gaming syndicate.
Honorable mention games that Vengeance has been in include Warhammer Online, Aion, RIFT, and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy
Vengeance gives repect to everyone in the games we play. We will be friends with anyone who offers friendship in return. Including those in enemy factions. This does not mean we won’t attack enemy factions, but we will be respectful as we slaughter them. However, once a clan has shown malice to Vengeance, we will do everything we can to destroy that clan. We can be no better friend, and no worse enemy.
