Things are as they be TCers, cant change it, just adabt, take the pain and once more charge into the breach, we TCers, are more of a deverse mix then most servers i suspect, casuals, RPers, PvPers, PVers, and im proud of us, proud of how far up we come, and i think almost all we faced, speak good of us, we might not allways win, but we sure try give as good as we get, so lets be glorius in defeat and give them such a end, that it be wourthy of a song !

or as i usually say… we dont need to beat em, just fight em !

Been away a few days, eating hearty and enjoying the winter, with familly and friends… this said… i hope BGs and SoRs also been having it great, and to my fellow TCs we might not win, but i think we are all winners, and a new week and year on the brink, its time to let the crusade of fun out… enjoy the link !

I agree with you in essence but we can do something… as an example as istated earlier, if we as TC get evidence that one of our did something bad hackish at bay to you, we could spread the word among the commanders and the big guilds, that for 5 hours no hostile actions will be taken against bay, aince cheats were used to destroy their siege… Its a active choise to colectivly fix something that might have made us take something in the wrong way, or if someone takes a tower or keep the wrong way, you can again spread the word among commanders big guilds we are giving this tower keep back without a fight, then party with oposing side, talk to them apologice and say we wont defend this tower keep etc… we can make lists, for example this person in TC with name have been banned for hacking, by us, have it organiced by the big guilds, to my knowledge you cant change a name, so no matter where they go, what ewer server they jump to, everyone will know, aha that is the person TC themself throwed out and toasted as hacker or what ewer… yes we cant ban, but we can try take responsibility as much as possible, i know the big guild commanders in TC have a fairly good comunication between each other… if there is a will there is a way… and personally i dont like to hang out people, but ya, im just pointing to ways we can act !… personally i havent seen much of foul play, and iwe been having a blast, so keep up the great work BG and SoR

To be honest tere proably are cheaters on all sides… but, IF there was a TCer that cheated with pic proof, there are several things we as TC can do, we can ask in team chat, spread the word among all guilds, no one will work with this invidual, and finally if a TCer did this to BG at say “bay” we could spread the word in team chat that no one should attack “bay” for a said time, as reprisal and give back to BG that one of our people have behaved badly, atleast that is what i would suggest to the big guilds… if my side miss behaves, we should colectivly take responsibility and do something about it… cheating shall never ewer pay off !

I wish all my fellow TCers our enemies SoR and BG a very merry santa day !… i also would like to thank evryone for the great battles that been taking place, and to the Ranger that shot arrows into me, a staff ele for several minutes, before you fianlly gave me a dirt nap, fun fight !… im mostly in the rear, running supplies, guarding yaks, or the occasional catching the trebs balls

I wont say we do things better or are more skilled, but we are friendly and helpfull, and though i am not a commander, i think they lead by example, they help with running supplies, they also help with the less glorius tasks, and that shows new players the importance of the rear duties…

Also i think we are fairly polite in pointing out tips, about placements, and how to report things… saying “big zerg help”… dont give much info, while “inc crag 10-15+” does or 10+Fa heading titan from crag" reporting and giving information helps commanders loads when they need to manuver a big mob…

Also little things to do not take supplies from a tower or keep thats low, but actually run or jump to TCG for supplies, many sieges is attrition and winning time… i remember awhile back 20-30cds oceanic hit bay, we are low population these ours and were maybe ten, if ewen that and he said omg we are going to die, and i said, maybe but its not about that, every minute we stall, every half hour we can delay, more and more of us will wake up, and two hours after that we were still fighting desperatly to keep bay, and by that time we almost had parity, and thanks CD you given us some amacing bay battles !…

Im not saying we do are the only ones that do this, but iwe found that most people in TC are openminded, have a good relaxed attitude but want to learn, guess thats why we are a merry mob

What if burning countered stealth in some way, kinda hard stealithing with flames around you and plume of smoke trailing around you ;P …

I like the event and dont like the event, id prefer if you needed to amass a certain number of supplies, and depending on numbers you could trigger the break out event on diffrent levels…

I play a staff ele, support def build and im not easy to take down… im not sure what wvw some here are refering to, maybe if its 1 on 1, you can calculate and got time to count to two, and dodge etc… but when your in the middle of a 20 vs 20 fight, effects ging off people needing to get revived, missiles flying, siege blasts etc, and to this we have the marvels of anets culling, iwe been hit several times and have my health drop to about 20% from mulitple strikes, and no enemy around, usually i flash roll with heal and and since i usually have a triggered regenration, with my 1.7k healing power, im usually full health in any case, but as noted, its just beyond me how people can even compare a d/d ele and a thief, i fought a d/d ele and a damn good one, and they dont have the burst to drop me, and you see them all the time so you can flash out, you can mist out, you can get stability from earth armour… but a thief. its rinse repeat a burst with a stealth, that is only enforced ewen more by the culling, i can get out one, two times, then my skillis is on timer, then the thief hits me again, sure i have my mist, but oooh wait, the thief can hit me again… and of course if he drops me after this im dying, i can mist through a gate if that is near, for this survivability, im extrmely capped in my damage, i cant kill things one on one, thats a trade off in my eyes, and ewen i get down if i stumble on to many and cant run… my question is what do other classes do ?

Now as mentioned i play one class staff ele a boring as many say, and my knowledge is fairly limited to pew pew, but aplying conditions, hmmm dont you need to see your targe to do this ?, oooh wait, you cant see a thief ;P

And as for trying to stop, stun root a thief, iwe tried it all, and what iwe seen they just vanish out of it, and do their normal rince and repeat act

and yes, AoE… and i point back to wvw 20 vs 20, if designers really think you got time or are going to waste spells out in the blue at the edges of the battle, that might with abit of luck hit the thief, thats just beyond me

I ask you designers, step into a big battle and open your eyes, d/d eles might be good, but they die, and people see them and can fight them, thieves are just la di da, you know their there at the sides ripping people apart with spammable attacks that dont miss, people bascially have no chanse to react to them couse of its a battle and culling… so again i ask you, is this as you intended ?

PS, if Thiefs had lower health then a ele say 3/4 of a ele, yes then it would be a trade off, but as it is, thieves dont need health or the fact that your squisy, ightly played no one sees you in any case, so cuts thieves health by half, thats a trade off

im pretty hard to kill for a staff ele, i got 1.7k healing power and just defensive and support build, i make everything tick green around me,i knew i couldent kill you unless out of bordom, and you were to smart to stay to long among the npcs, in any case amacing work as a d/d ele, iwe seen alot, but your the best so far… ill keep my staff build i like it, and i give alot of staying power to all those around me !

And a big thanks to Fa and Cd, we love to hate each other, or is it a hate love relationship, lol, good fights all in all !

A big thumbs up to the FA d/d ele i fought at heroes camp in TCbl for 10-15min, thats the most impresive d/d eleing iwe seen, and though you dident get me down as a support ele, i can say if my friends hadent came so i could rest my fingers youd won lol… !

Been getting 12hours sleep, and eyeing ower the forums, seems alot have happened, in anycase where to start… From the start of course

Yesterday, we slowly pushed FA and CD out of our TCbl, we had about half a hour to hour to get everything ready for the push we knew where comming from CD, the first one rolled in, and we could counter it with a few reinforcements from EB, thanks Jalen and co for comming, the second one hit far harder, i ran and did a desperet plea in CB, “we need everyone you can spare – yesterday”, BB and vale been lost, and ewen with people comming from EB, we were severly out numbered by CD, that a crew from FA about our size decided to team in as well, dident make it easier, lol…

RL was held by a skeleton crew im not sure how many or who, i was fighting the best i could in Bay, and despite we doing alot of errors, we held out rather long, about the same time as Bay fell, hill was lost, simply couse we dident have numbers, as one of our commanders said, “Well then its lost, do the best you can” all hail the glorius dead lol… At sunny was lost after some intense fightin and we TC did what we could, despite the odds, but in the end we were grinded down…

The last part im abit unsure what happened, i was sentry at Crag, and though we repelled FA twice, and they went silent, i stayed at crag, all other went to Gar and started a counter on sunny despite us still being outnumbered by CD alone, with abit of coordination i heard we might have taken sunny back… though when Garr was lost, i was like ??? . i can only apload FA for the speed and sneaky ness it was done, and not trigger any swords on the map, well done !. it took us all by suprice, and when you got the treb up, crag was doomed, your colems that taken Garr overran Crag swiftly…

By this time, most of us were sort of so exhousted, i got myself some tea and a few cookies and alittle break, i was about to go sleep when i got back to my computer, Sam had then rallied about the 10-15 that was left in TCbl. and in a hour the entire TCbl was green again…

Conclusion, TC no shame in loosing to a superior numeric oponent, they needed hours upon hours to grind us down, only to have us take it back in one !… In a stragic wiew we lost about 3-4k points towards CD, and FA been barely gaining anything upon us only loosing ground towards CD and getting securely placed as third…

Also as a counter to being fought by 2nd and 3rd servers, we can start to focus on the third, and only Defend against second, in this case CD, and push FA, we can allways match FA in numbers, so in theory if we let CD take, we just use our Mobs to take what ewer FA takes ;P and push where ewer they hold things… I think its called devide and conquer ;P

In anycase thanks to all sides, some intense fighting !

Id like to adress something i think all three servers experience, i wont point fingers and say omg you alt-f4. couse honestly i think its most likely its done on all sides, but please, if you see this kind of behavior talk to your own, i certainly will tell those among TC that alt-f4 and then get their guild leaders, we probably cant stop it fully, but atleast we can agree on that its poor gameplay, and FA, CD and TC are better then that !

And to earlier FA commander that said something about eating popcorn, i shall admit, i told a few of us to pull back, and let CD hordes tear you apart, since they were obviously upset, and as i said “dont attack CD, its far better they fight FA, then fighting us… beside then FA will need to spend hours taking their towers back”, ya it was something like that, i can understand your frustration, at times taking something might not be the best in the long run, but its also a game and its about to have fun, in any case FA keep up the spirits and the fight !

Lastly about eles with focus, im a support ele with 1.7k healing power, i have a focus only so i can defend out trebs and walls, i ewen save focus i find to mail to people that dont have, and ewen a low level ele can grab a focus and stand and block trebs… earlier today when CD had like 4-5 trebs bombing Bay, we had four Eles in line stopping almost every shot, i think one of the eles were lvl 20 or something, he went and bought a focus, so he could help out !

Thanks CD, last two-three hours in TCbl have been so intense, you guys give as good as you take !

I hope Anet looks to this thread couse its very unison in how people feel, and i think all of us that critise thief as it is now, we dont want it nerfed to obliteration just, changed and rebalanced so its not a endless rotation of stealth, i mean seriously Thieves, how would you feel if Eles could rotate MIstform in absurdum, and allways come out full health, or warriors had alot lower timer on invulnerability, etc… and i dont think no one of us want Gw2 turned into Thieves only, i have noted more and more of them, and that should point to something !

We are not so many as you think, and one of TCs strenth is peoples ability to share the burdon, sentries, ticking siege, being behind and report enemy moves, we love our TC, and though at many times we are outnumbered at both initial attacks of FA and CD, we will pull numbers and swarm, as the merry mob we are, we know its all about time and atrition, and for every minute we stall, more will come to out border lands and defend…

And thanks to you CD you given some new life and tough fights !

Saradon, about to nights battle back and fourth from bb, bv, bay, and ewen ower and fight the occasional YB attack on rl… the fights against you FAs, i was there the whole night, and im mostly allways in the middle getting people up on our side and back into combat, im a staff ele with 1.7k healing power, as for numbers, and how the fights went, im not going to get into a omg we pawzored you contest, both sides give and took equally good, and i was there seing the ground littered with reds as well as blues in between, either way i had fun and thanks for a great evening !

Candlejack… iwe said welcome to some of you, not sure if it were you, but welcome , and TC is a great friendly server, iwe said it earlier in some threads, TC isent better skill wise then other servers we fight, but im pretty sure in one aspect we are, and thats Merryness and Morale, are we zergy, yeb, but we are a merry zerg, and we will bring presents to ya door if you been noughty ;P

reading through the posts, and trying to balance the pros and cons. my solotion to portals is this… that when the END portal is placed, it should sort of glow for a few seconds, to sort of stabilice untill you could use it. indicating a portal is opening, could also have a type of random timed lag transfer you kilck to portal, then a random timed bar hits for each and everyone and your frozen till you phased through the portal. some will pass through in a sec, while some will be delayed several secs

maybe this make them less extreme in their use, either way all can use them so

Im not the most active poster, but i peek in here to read up alittle, first of thank you FA and YB for some fun weeks…

Now to things from my perspective, i think we are as servers are in base really matched in tactics, all of us know the tricks in attack and defense, and i dont see that any server is really better then the other tactics wise… i am TC and what i have noticed is that we have really good morale, there is very little ranting or shouting at each other, ewen back when we got badly owerrun by SoR i think it was, we kept triying to fight them, and was merrrily crushed time and time again, sure some lost the will to fight, but there was very little bad talks among us, atleast what i could notice

I feel, we have a unspoken crew that will defend and capture our border land, our third in eternal, when we have this, comanders usually organice more organiced efforts into other borderlands, but if our core base of points gets invaded, we will swarm to defend it… its alittle what happened to day a few hours back, amacing fighting in TCBL, we lost BB and then Bay, and lastly RL, but by this time we had gained a parity in numbers, and could start hitting back more serious, its as one of our comanders said “we will keep dieing at BB till we take it” or something like that

So what am i trying to say, i think all three servers are even in tactics, we TC have generally more people, but not so we can dominate all four zones, think we become fairly good at managing out people we have, with a balance of attack and defence… ten people can defend against 40 in a tower along time, winning time, calling in people from other zones… im not saying FA and YB dont dont do this either, but its easier for us to do this, as we mostly have more people, but ewen we tend to get low on numbers on some hours… Thanks and keep up the fun !

Should definatly be a system, where death impacts on how much you gain, if this would be implemented, anyone can rush into a killing field just to deliver a final blow, for me thats not skill nor realism, i mean in the end, it should be a combination, for example you have player A have 40kills and 40 “deaths” during a 6hours period, then you have a player B with 10kills, and 1"death", resource wise B accompliced more for his side, and should also put into account capturing camps towers, keeps etc, or being part in loosing them, but thats my take on it… Why do i think deaths impact as much as killing, well when you lay dead waiting for a jump point, or need to respawn repair your gear, you leave your group, you thin the defence or attack, you deprive you side a valuable resource, while you have to relocate to the battlefield where you can again make a difrence

Can only agree with previous speakers, some of the best and most even fight yet for me, id like to thank my fellow TCers but also Yaks and CDs for great fighting, as for bas manners, i think it will happen, and the bad ones are on all sides, what we can do is not to point fingers at the others, but tell those among yourself, speak with the guilds, that certain code of conduct isent, or shouldent be done, wont make it disapear but it might atleast stop a few… as for huge zergs, its hard to stop, and allsides use it, one thing that could penalice zergs if big mobs got some sort of mob debuff if yourmore then 20 in a close proximity, everyone will be penaliced, also it reduce lag if everyone spreads out, not sure its a solotio… As for me i am a elementalist support, i make everyone around me tick green with my 1.7k healing power, or i go tornado at times to couse disorder and buy time lol… its a fun build, your hard to kill, but i cant kill others, in any case keep up the great work everyone, see you on the flip side !
