This will have no effect on your game if the precursors are account bound on purchase.

This will give ANet another source of money.

This will make people like me, who have more money than time, a reason to keep playing.

Ok Arena.net put the precursor on the gem store matching the current average price for currency exchange at the highest seller for the precursor on TP problem solved, nice try at trolling but might want to work on your technique it’s rather lacking.

If you have the money you can certainly buy it just buy gems and trade for gold, problem solved.

I think a global lfg system would solve this without having highest player being the standard for the difficulty. The only reason someone would want to go into higher difficulty without doing lower difficulty is not for the fun factor of the dungeon because it’s the same fractals at higher difficulty, but to get loot that they did not work for by progressing through FotM.

They added it to appease the crowd before this whole ascended thing that were complaining that there is no end-game. Just because what they did does not jibe well with you and a group of other people does not mean you and that group of people make up the whole player base.

As for what I think you are implying agony as a gating mechanic, it is a very mild one there are definitely ones that you cannot avoid, however upon reaching level 10(and probably 20) and beating it you are rewarded with a ascended ring that will help with progression. This probably does not jibe well with your if one person completes a certain difficulty everyone should be able to join them in that higher difficulty, but I also do not agree this is a proper solution since loot is better at higher fractal difficulties and people that are willing to invest more time into FotM should be rewarded for their dedication.

Future content will use the agony system. It seems like Dungeons may be closed of to the casual community from this point forward.

Haha sorry if they mentioned this in their post. It does indeed complicate the problem if they do not have enough people leveling alts/new players being added into the community. I feel this is going back to towards the problem that there is no grouping system within the game that is cross-server if this is implemented even casual players should be able to find group mates that are also progressing at the same pace to group with.

Here are some of the suggestions I’ve seen that I personally agree with:

— Have Ascended and Legendary Gear have the same stats as Exotic Gear – the only difference being that the “higher tier” gear will have better cosmetics.

— Make the new gear be available in all avenues of the game: make them be craftable by the crafting professions, buyable thru Karma Vendors, barter/drop in WvWvW, be available for SPvP. Heck they can even make them drop off a chest at the end of jumping puzzles. The idea being you can get the gear no matter what type of player you are.

I like the first suggestion a lot basically solves most of the concerns presented by the players, assuming that the majority of players do not care for the stat boost.

It is difficult to appease everyone in the player base considering everyone holds somewhat of a unique opinion. The argument against the ascended gear is that it adds a stat boost a very mild one but nonetheless a stat boost and players are afraid/angry that this will split the community into two.

1) You don’t know how Ascended bonuses will be added to Armor pieces
2) You don’t know how much more defense Ascended armor will have
3) You don’t know how Ascended armor will have stats rolled into them inherently

ANET is not going to reset Fractal levels because it goes against their new progression system. The only thing you can hope for is that, eventually, Dungeons that use Agony won’t be the only place to get Ascended gear.

And it’s a very valid point most people do strive to perfect their character in the long run at a variable amounts of time. I do understand that this ascended gear is not particularly following their manifesto, but I also do not see anyway for them to keep people interested other than to add some form of progression.

Also the difference between socketed accessory and ascended accessory is 2% of crit damage or 4% mf if I remember correctly not exactly ground breaking.

You can climb up the trees blocking the path whether or not this is intended is debatable.

A lot of people are still on Fractal difficulty 1, however if you are on a small population server this may not be true as there are people that cannot find groups at this point due to the nature of FotM. The only way to fix this would to either have resets for the difficulty not exactly the most favorable choice, the better alternative would be for A.net to either implement a zone that people of all servers can go into or a cross server group finder similar to that of other mmorpgs, until they do this you’re pretty much out of luck unless you find a guild/friends that are willing to run you through lower difficulty.

All I’m hearing from these posts and the sub-forums for professions is “WTF buff my class it’s underpowered has lots of bugs” translated “WTF I can’t hold my own in pvp please buff my class so I can just roll my face on the keyboard and win”. Everyone cries about their class being underpowered or unjustly nerfed, there are indeed classes that need buffs, however please take a look around before assuming that YOUR class is the weakest of them all.
Oh yeah and just out of curiosity what kind of buff would you want for warriors in WvW? It’s a zerg fest 0 skill required just mash buttons like everyone else, it’s basically pve Dynamic Events but with players as mobs, so calm your kitten

I would like to think that this is more of matter of time before they reinstate our accounts rather than “if” they will reinstate our accounts. However, I also don’t want all my hopes to comes crashing down on me right before my Biochemistry exam tomorrow so hopefully A.net doesn’t send me an email until tomorrow night if at all.

I resumed farming since I really wanted that last stretch of 8 gold for my set, but soon after my whole client froze everyone stood in place I restarted and a few minutes after that I believe I was banned for botting. I can only assume that the problems I was experiencing had something to do with my ban, especially the porting backwards which is very similar to what bots do when the teleport from spot to spot, however that being said I have no ideal why I was the only one that was experiencing this phenomenon other than the fact that I was using the Mac Beta client and not the Windows client like my friends.

TL:DR = Had a bunch of problems with lag including porting backwards, was banned shortly after. Friends had no problem, however they were using the Windows client and I was using the Beta Mac Client.

I honestly had that exact same problem except I was just simply trying to level an Alt all together and I needed a bit more Xp to level up. I went to do a heart and found a RP friend so I sat with them in that area and did a bit of RPing and near the time we were leaving I started Rubber Banning between the spot I killed the Ettin, the annoying area in the cavern with the truffles, pigs, worms, and lieutenant ettins, at and the spot I ran to after defeating it. After that we walked all the way to the camp near the portal at the south of Kessex Hills and I do believe we both got banned.

I myself am also using the Mac Beta but could that have anything to do with it?

Your previous post you said you were using a macro which is not allowed. Just because other people are using it doesn’t mean it’s ok.

I had incredible lag right, delays in attacks, everything freezing up, before I was banned for botting, I didn’t have any problem the day before that or even the morning of that day. If you starting porting backward it’s better probably to log out for the night instead of taking the chance of getting banned by their automated system.

Speaking of banning for botting it seems there are new people on this thread and new threads everyday if their customer service can’t even keep up with reinstating the accounts caught in the crossfire wouldn’t it be a good ideal to ummmm stop banning until those that were caught in the crossfire get their account back?

The Ascended is now recruiting we are an up and starting guild dedicated to circle jerking! Minimum requirement is to have at LEAST two pieces of Ascended Armor! Guild Activities will include/is mostly composed of standing/dancing in Lion’s Arch in various coordinated formations. We will be utilizing mumble, vent, and team speak in order to make these daily events as smooth as possible. As new elitists we will encounter fierce competition amongst old elitists(The Legendaries), however with superior numbers and communication I have no doubt in my mind we will reign supreme.

To avoid botting areas is to avoid the few ways one can make gold at a respectable rate Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound. Despite the fact that it has been advertised that you don’t “need” to grind for anything(which is true in a very rather stupid roundabout way), most of the items that look even decently appealing(this is of course a personal opinion) require “some” time investment/gold.

I haven’t received any response via email or by the ticket system, that is the only change for me for the past 4 days. I’m crossing my fingers just like you are, however I don’t think the fact that they changed it from botting to accessed by an unauthorized individual changes all that much (well except it doesn’t feel like they are accusing you of botting, but that’s just preference of whether you care or not in the first place since). I do agree that blaming Gaile is not necessarily the best ideal since she does not make the calls and is just doing her job, that being said I feel it is better to criticize A.net when they have done something wrong since they should care about their customers or at the very least their wallets should care. On the other hand, criticizing botters is like yelling at the wind it’s not like they care and nothing will be fixed or prevented by doing so.

Think about it if the account is banned no one has access to the account other than Arena.net. So even if burnc posted his/her account name and password on this forum nobody could access the account because it’s banned.

I actually didn’t mention that, but I also had a black screen too around the same time and just thought it was my laptop acting up maybe it has to do with the rubber banding.
