It is obviously easier with more population to cap and hold the positions so yes it will go to the more populated server should they put much effort into capping. But regardless of who is holding the bloodlust stacks, they introduce a ridiculous change to builds and the overall power of whoever has them. You would have to be pretty dim not to see that but I guess its possible that you genuinely don’t understand so I won’t waste time trying to explain it to you. You can, as you suggest, check to see how it is working in T1 but that really doesn’t matter to most of us nor is it required to notice how it affects WvW play in our tier.

The argument wasn’t “that they introduce a ridiculous change”. You said two things. You went on about how it goes to the server with the greater population, I gave examples where that is not the case. You then mocked how they weren’t balancing WvW. I pointed out that that was never the intention. Saying someone doesn’t understand a point that’s not even being discussed is contrived.

The server with more population/coverage will hold and take more things and will be generally harder to kill due to their numbers and siege. Nothing has changed, it’s only harder for the little man to do anything. This has been WvW for the past year.

T1 and T2 are the pinnacle of WvW, it is how the devs want it to be played. Anything that affects them, affects us. It is not required to notice how it works up there but educating yourself on changes in different tiers will give you an boarder understanding of WvW, who it is screwing, and who it is helping.

During prime time there are normally Q’s for every map, minimum 1 commander per BL, around 100 people on TS including the various BL’s squads and guild wvw channels.

Today however: totally out-manned on every map, no-one speaking in our server teamspeak, no commanders anywhere except 1 guy for 20mins and then he left, no organisation at all, extremely low numbers on all maps, some maps appeared to have no-one at all.

What the hell is going on? I’ve never seen anything like this in a year of WvW-ing.

What? I’m trying to just do my thing in Eb, and I get kids running their mouth immediately when they join the map while following Xushin around. They take 2 of our towers back like superheroes, then leave the map and everyone still there gets demolished by a 50+ man zerg.

So yeah, if I don’t want to listen to these kids making their stupid comments when they join the map, I just put them on ignore. I have no clue who they are to begin with. I really don’t care if anyone is upset by me calling them out on this crap.

You’re not wasting points if that’s what you want to do. The guardian boon duration line is rarely traited into for any support build and yet they are still highly effective. Instead, they utilize runes and food, and can get up to 80% increase. Eles have good traits in their boon duration line so it’s not a bad idea to trait into it.

No. Guardians can get a pretty high uptime for protection. Even if the boon is stripped, they can reapply it with ease. 50% damage reduction is too much.

tldr: You are really misinformed about support builds, unless you’re only talking about spvp.

Easier suggestion: Make it so healing and boon duration can crit when applied and it scales with your precision just like attack power/condi power. This would tempt people to mix up builds and gear with precision and allow more variations of builds/traits.

What frustrates me is the karma train that mags has. I logged on this morning to see not a whole hell of a lot of green, so instead of playing the toon i wanted to, I got my tag, said in LA that I needed men to come and help get our map back, and no one came until I got on the map and started putting a small dent in he SoS hold of mags map. The Xushin gets on and all the fly by nights just miraculously log on at the same time and run with him, while leaving me to beg my little guild to help. Same thing when Duke is on. Mags needs better skill in its players or we may as well just PvE it from here on out except the trains, because those trains accomplish nothing when our home maps is someone else’s colour. That simple.

tldr: The Mag karma train is full of fairweathers, is not interested in defense, and will only follow their trusted karmander.

Played a little tonight. Remembered why I hadn’t all week – there is nothing impressive out there. Some group from BP – Borlis Savers guild – actually sat on a wall for ten solid minutes and refused a duel. Other players are downright disappointing.

Holy moly this is not about t7 mats or tagging players. It’s about standing near a yak to get credit for the event is the same as just standing in the circle to cap. While it takes other players to do the work you can do nothing but just look pretty and still get credit. What they don’t want happening with defense has been happening for months with karma trains.

Maybe make the Dolyaks move faster per nearby ally, increased by up to ten allies. There would be incentive to guard them since it is helping your team overall even if you are not participating in big fights/being in other areas.

The issue is not about an in-game reason to defend them, it is about the way we actually determine who has defended them. Currently, you can get credit by standing near them when they finish. That is clearly not a good platform for delivering rewards.

Because standing in a circle of a camp/tower/keep is SO different.
