Hey guys, how do you feel about “Protecting the NPC missions” ?

I find it to be very annoying and counterproductive.
I’m not talking about “CoF run with Magg” where noone is attacking npc and you just have to run around, dodge and avoid dmg until he is done. I’m talking about stuff like ‘Hodgins’ Route’ in AC . This mission forces the team to bring healers, tanks and dps, the meta that we have been trying to get rid of for so long. I have no idea how you can protect npc that breaks invisibility and stand in one spot while 20 monsters are around him and want him dead, especially if you have no real healer in team ( like in our case – [War, Thief, Ranger, Mesmer, Necro]) . We have tryed to protect him with all we had [ traps, springs , spirits invis ..etc ] and every time he ended up dead…even offensive game plan didnt work, and btw in some dungeons you can’t i mean really you cant play offensive. Just check out (CoE with Zojja ) she is standing there “hacking” while you have …what, 20 silver mobs running around and kiling everyone with few hits.
I love that dungeos are hard as they are , i just hate to depend on some kitten npc.
Just remember the Ghostly Hero from GW1 and playing HA with him, i think that because of that npc few ppl even tryed to attempt suicide. Yes , it was that bad.

We have all hoped to avoid playing with NPC in such hard and skill demanding missions, but our dreams still didnt become reality. Hopefully Anet will change their mind and remove or at least rework stuff with npc’s and save a lot of ppl nerves.

Consumables in Dungeons

About those potions. Description says that potion ends in an hour, but as soon as you get killed the potion is gone wich is not the case with cooking consumables. Is that a bug or its meant to be that way?

Hey guys. Few days ago i read a post from ColinJohanson stating that consumables can make huge diference in dungeons.

We’ll be doing the same with the Gw2 explorable dungeons, our own internal testing teams and alpha test groups learned to beat them using a combination of player skill, synchronous builds, strong use of cross-profession combos, use of cooking/consumable buffs (these make a huge difference!) CJ

I’m a cook 400 and i was wondering, what are the best consumables for dungeons, how can i help my team?

We are having a hard time in dungeons and half of my team lose their **** before we can complete it. So we really need some help here.

What do you guys use, and see as a best cooking solution, do you change the type of cons for every dungeon or do you use the same stuff?

2) TA, RA, HA, GvG
I know, the usual. But pvp right now is lacking in content.
Players are stuck with the same point-capping system, lack of setting variety, etc.
I would also like to see a system similar to Lineage 2’s olympiads, but maybe I’m hoping too far here.

I really hope you will value the good things you made in GW1 and bring them again here.

I agree with you, if you have lot of aoe you cant even see your target, especially if the target is tiny asura with daggers, we need an option to lower down or even shut down the spell effect on targets.

Yes, some dungeos are too difficult and the end reward’s are making me sad every time.
I don’t even want to go back in there any more, waste of time and nerves.
