Henge of Denravi could be of interest to you. we are a t6-t7 server that is a very tight knit community. we have a server ts that is used by almost all WvW guilds and have weekly meetings for reset. it really is a group effort and we often are fighting outmatched and having to use coordination to be successful. a 15-25 man zerg is an incredible help in the lower tiers, so even though you would be wonderful. you also do not worry about carrying HoD on your back since all of your WvW guilds are very dedicated.

The only place you truly see these Kain zergs is the pug playground EB. If you see them in the Kaineng borderland its to take back stuff… sorry that is OUR borderland… stay the hell out of it if you dont want to face everyone coming to defend.

I remember my T1 days when every BL was permanently occupied by 3 servers and was a constant struggle for control. That made the BLs fun. Not this lower tier nonsense of occasional southern map fighting for a tower or camp, or complete faceroll zergs taking everything with little resistance and then leaving the map. There isn’t much fun in that. No fighting. Just yawning while you collect loot bags from npcs and get wxp.

although in upper tiers its much more common due to the number of players. the bl’s can still be fun depending on who you are facing.

i remember SF being a blast, Cosa always brought big groups to the BL to play with, same probably with GoM (but without zombienubs running around now im not so sure.)

but unfortunately it all depends on the servers you play. im sure HoD is a bore when it comes to our bl, just karma train all through the BL.

regardless its been a good matchup. thank you all of KN for the fights hopefully we will face you again and maybe get some GvGs in with you guys (sorry FEAR but u never contacted me again u dumb boob! <3)

well..after we tried to kill each other..its complicated

fun fights in HoD bl against Rx (i think that was the tag) the first three were very even and a lot of fun. but eventually the pugs found us :/.

until then it was solid ZvZ fights. hoping to see you more in the future =D

LK disbanded due to internal problems within the guild :/ so after taking a month break i started a new guild..soo WOO =D

tonight was VSL’s first guild WvW, and i wanted to say thanks for the fun fights [BS] at your spawn in nsp bl, and to Os,ZoS,and others for giving us massive zergs to fight. hopefully we will be more competitive in the future

i have to agree with PAXA on this one

this is PvP. which stands for “player vs player”. which means that the main purpose of it is to kill other human players. wether u do it with five or 30 or 60.

although i do not agree with PAXA that the only skillful way to pvp is with 5. i do agree that if you cant handle being ganked in an open pvp game. then please do not rage on the forums. i understand there is a “code of respect” in fight night. but regardless you need to be prepared for this kind of thing.

when we played nsp SPCA ganked us EVERY TIME we were in mid duels during a fight ngiht. why? because this is a pvp and they are out for kills. did i whine on the forums? no we came back everytime and eventually when they did it, we killed them (albeit we outnumbered them) is it the most “honourable” way to play? of course not and do i approve of ganking a fight night? again no. but talented small mans like PAXA have every right to come and kill you. they dont give a kitten if you like them. they want to kill you and they will if you let them.

they came to the fight night to compete. to be challenged in a 5vs5 against whoever wanted to play them. and honestly they ended up wasting there time. losing to PAXA in a 5vs5 isnt something to be ashamed of. why everyone backed out of it blows my mind.

regardless its been an unfortunately slow, but overall entertaining week. i wish you all the best reset

It’s petty sad how 90% of this thread is nerd rage from small mans about who is better. Or the specifics of a certain incident. Nothing constructive could have really been learned here from anyone.

That being said I wanted to wish everyone a good upcoming reset. It was rough for HoD and DR I’m sure, but LK had a blast and was a great learning experience for our newer commanders and practice fighting outmanned. Than you for the experience. And I hope to see you all soon

Coming from a server that is being dominated by BP this week. I have to say it has been fun against BP. They play smart in WvW and work well together as a server (or you seem to). And most have been nothing but respectful.

Their PvE I can’t speak for ( HoDs is a literal ghost town so it probably is an improvement) but from meeting some players from BP. I would say if you are looking to transfer, learn more about BP

One week of a bad matchup is not something to complain about. I see this as a time to possibly watch and see if you can learn and improve from a server that’s a higher tier than us. Even if you do not its good to practice against larger numbers and outmanned combat. Something I’m making sure LK is doing

In regards to GvG LK is down for some. Just make an account on gw2gvg.com and challenge us or we will challenge you or whatever. It’s a good way to keep record of GvG on that site

I find this funny because you “HoD” had an LK zergball, KoM roaming with about 12 people, and PAXA doing their thing, all on ET BL, you easily outmanned them. Hell SF was outmanned and KING was running around with 7 members trying to get into fights while about 15-20 CoSA and pugs took our BO tower. Don’t blame ET for rallying all of their server into one point to defend the only BL they have.[/quote]

yeah unfortunately due to awkward drama in HoD. FkB and LK rarely communicate. which results in moments like ET bl. KoM/PAXA were out doing their own thing and they are not big into pushing/defending points. so it was really only us 2

although judging from HoDs viewpoint we had less than you. it was not enough for us to complain about u having more numbers. if we had simply worked together you would have been an easier opponent. and would have been much easier to handle.

(ALSO on a side note i was mildly misjudging how many u had XD got LK killed a couple times.)

also SF was not helping. they were there yeah, but its not like they were holding each others hands.

anyways i came on to say amazing fights in ET bl. its very humbling to see ET still put out numbers like that. also solid fights in HoD bl with the huge SF zerg who just kept coming. it was fun

Argue, disagree and talk smack its perfectly normal, and healthy. I know being competitive and driven is frowned on these days, but it will serve you well in life if you can manage to do it without looking like total kittens, and even if you do come across as kittens who cares its a player vs player, guild vs guild, sever vs server sub-forum here.

my two cents

I thought/think HoD are quiters to some extent more so then other servers I have been on. I was on HoD the week of southsun, once numbers were even with FC and HoD started losing the flood gates opened commander vs commander in map chat more left then even more.
It felt like the server did not want to fight unless they had greater numbers, the PvE crowd leaving to do the new content I totally understood, it was the main WvWers that quit that week in a rage because they faced even or worst numbers I found funny. Perhaps I was wrong in thinking HoD has a larger then normal numbers of quitters, they seem to be doing fine vs SF this week.

Gotta give ET and FC this…regardless of their numbers they usually have SOME sort of team running around trying to fight. HoD mostly fairweathers. Last week was horrible, watched 4 maps having 3-4 commanders PER MAP!

That =‘s zero fun for anyone on that server, let alone for ET and FC. Zerger’s and then bragging about how “HoD owns” lol, you HoD zergers had tripple their numbers on every map.

Then again, this game is almost ALL about numbers anyways.

as far as Pugs are concerned. yes the numbers game and coverage is the key to winning as far as potential points are concerned. and yes i also agree HoD got a little kitteny after playing in t8. also being a commander myself its ususally common courtesy to NOT tag up when there is already a commander on the field. its considered disrespectful

but then again you play for a different reason than most. and the way PAXA plays is very uncommon, especially in lower tiers. so your probably going to be alone in your reasoning for a long time.

but as someone said earlier. coordinating a guild “zerg” (which i use lightly since it has such a derogatory stank to it). is a lot harder than it looks. especially if you want to be a roaming guild or a “zerg buster” if you would. you pretty much have to take small man tactics and apply it to a larger group, using different builds/ tactics.

the positives of running a larger man group focused on combat is, although the fighting is what you are looking for, your able to push keeps to “draw” the enemy towards u and pull them into a fight.

yelling on the forums about how your methodology is better on the forums is mute anyway. because most of the forums is either pugs saying there server is amazing. or GL or members talking about how their guild is the servers “savier” which is why i rarely post and just read.
