to the oS guild… i tip my hat off to you. impressive stuff
Thank you for reminding me why I stopped going on these forums. Regardless it’s been a fun week so far
last night was…incredibly frustrating even though i had alot of fun at the same time. it seems either we were just lacking the numbers today, or Gom has regained their coordination. regardless of the reason hats off to GOM for giving me a run for my money, and as always to DH who has definitly regained most of their old prowess as a wvw server. although we are now in third place. you have brought alot of issues in HoD to light. and will make us a better server in the end
Keep it up everyone
yeah please dont get grumpy cuz this week has been a little bit less balanced then we have been enjoying. if its truly the new DH alliance or transfers, who cares its happenned, and although i will miss the close race, its still not a total knock-out by any means, primetime NA is still a blast. its not totally overwhealming, and DH still makes some dumb mistakes from time to time. but at the same time they have more “round the clock” coverage. SO they have definitly earned their inevitable push to tier 6 once IOJ makes their way down here.
anyways lets keep it honourable, keep it classy. dont just QQ or rage cuz its not as fair, keep playing and have fun.
just a bump to congratulate a couple of new transfer guilds =D hope to see more of you in HoD
Welcome! To The Light Keepers Recruitment/Information Page =D.
My name is Havvik, the GL for LightKeepers, and im here to tell you the guild im very proud of leading.
About us
We are a very young guild, created 11/5/2012. after switching to HOD after the Fall of Eredon Terrace due to RUIN leaving for a European server. i started a fresh new guild after my first guild falling apart due to inactivity, and i couldnt be happier with the results.
LK is a very tight community of active friendly players, each member of LK has a friendly personality and we are always willing to help new Players, or explore and do hardcore dungeons/Pvp with experienced players. casual or hardcore, pvp or pve, we have a spot for you =D. but what do we do specifically?
WvW
WvW is one of the big focuses of our guild, playing WvW since beta, and working with Large WvW Guilds, I gained alot of experience and Knowledge of the mechanics of WvW, and after recently earning my commander strip i want to share it with everyone in the guild :P. We do WvW on an almost daily basis, wether it is commanding large zergs, or helping new players learn about WvW. we do our best to help HoD, get those badges, and kick some kitten :p. all our officers have now been trained in WvW, and we are looking for More WvW players to help us keep HoD on the comeback we have seen in the last couple of weeks..
Dungeons
we are HUGE dungeon fans. every week my Pve Officers host 3 seperate dungeons to be run everyday!. usually a low lvl dungeon (AC,CM) a mid lvl dungeon (TA,SE,COF,) and one high level Dungeon (HOTW,COE,ARAH,FOTM). we are well experienced in dungeon raiding and are always looking for more Pve players
Exploration/Pve:
if your going for your legendary and need the completion, or just want to see the whole of tyria! look no furture. we have our Exploration Officer who knows and has been to every part of tyria. and is there to help you with that one tough vista, or need to do an event you just cant complete on your own? or want help with storyline? we have tons of active members that are available to aid you
Other Ammendments
We provide some services just for being in the guild!
Crafting Aid: we help as much as we can if your looking to level crafting, with helping buy most mats to training on how crafting works, and the most efficient ways to level your crafting. all you need to do is ask an officer or myself :p and well gladly explain and walk you through it either in whisper or our vent channel!
Weekend Buffs!: every weekend starting friday morning and ending sunday night we will have economic buffs going for the entire guild! going from magic find to gathering buffs to experience boosts!
In-Game Money Officer Pay!: since we are a young guild that is growing rapidly, their is always room to rise the ranks and become an officer in the guild. and i feel that since im asking you to do things you wouldnt normally do. you should earn some rewards for it! so for all my officers i give a basic commission in game pay, based on how much you do for the guild and how active you are
Squire ceremony: When you are first recruited into The Light Keepers, you start off at a rank of squire. once a short period of a week has passed, if you show that you have the quality that LK wants and needs, you will be invited to a Squire ceremony. a Welcoming ceremony at the Font of Rhand in diessa plateau! there you will be welcomed into the guild as a full member by myself, my officers, and whoever else wishes to attend. your membership status will be either
Knight: Full member of LK, with basic amenities and rites
or
Crusader: people who have shown that they have a quality above the average player, either through combat, theory crafting, pve, pvp, etc etc. will be given this veteren status.
its actually alot of fun! come check it out! sundays at 9pm est.
Vent: we have a 50 member vent server! which you can use at any time!

Thank you. and i hope to see you out there!

Havvik Nightseeker, Guild Leader of The LightKeepers.
Thank you all for the respect you’ve shown.
despite your opinion of the transfers, you have to give the guild RE, alot of respect.
they set up fight night (which was for HoD a blast! regardless of the wvw score at the time). their incredibly respectful, i was never trolled once or dance upon by anyone from RE, only from the “native” kaineng players
and honestly transfers are part of every server, no server is a transfer virgin, yeah my server got slaughtered by transfers, and yeah were tier 7 not tier 1, but honestly tier 7 has been amazing the last couple weeks, and i have no regreats
but anyways, hats off to RE for their work as a guild, and good luck to you and your alliance, i have been watching kainengs progress with interest. we will see how you do once you hit tier 3
Regards
Havvik
i honestly did not think i would enjoy Henge of Denravi when i first transferred here. it was right at the breakup of titan alliance. i was used to that tier 1 mentality, and watching a server implode made me immediately think of switching to another server, but instead i was like “hey, atleast give henge a shot, a week or 2, if you dont like it, leave.” prolly one of the best decisions ive ever made as far as gw2 is concerned
the community as amazing, simply a pleasure to be around, everyone is always willing to try dungeons they have never done, or head into wvw which they have never experienced, or whatever it is you wish to do. there are always new guild events going on, from care packages (gifts for participating in wvw, kind of like a small bonus for playing) to races, community keg brawl, dungeon runs, you name it! alot of creativity and time has gone into not just creating events for your own guild, but invite people you dont even know to come! to join the experience. ive met so many fantastic people here. and yeah sometimes there are arguments, and yes we dont always get along. but theirs so little drama, the arguments are not even worth mentioning or remembered a day or two later!
also this server has so much POTENTIAL! After a long slide, were finally getting back on our feet. tier 7 is our home, for now, and i have such a strong feeling that one day were gonna rise about that. we have countless people working hard to improve our standings in wvw, despite a lower count of players. And dedicated commanders who either came from a high tier server like myself and decided to stick it out to help train newer players, or to teach some more experienced ones a couple new ideas, or commanders native to Hod who, after time and time again of failing and trying again, have learned from their mistakes and are now making smart decisions, their is constant server training going on, for any individual that chooses. we make smart decisions, use map chat wisely, have a server forum page/mumble used for coordination, and more importantly were a CLEAN SERVER, very few being trolls, little to no hacking or exploits. we have the quality to be a good server, all were lacking is a little bit more training, and the numbers to be able to fully put in affect all the plans we aspire to do, and the wvw dreams we all keep working so hard to achieve.
so coming from someone who did transfer to HoD. please give it a shot until the 27/28th, its a chance i promise you wont regreat. youll meet some very fantastic folks, and you and/or your guild will be welcomed with open arms, and open to new ideas, concepts for pve/wvw/spvp/ whatever you choose! the server has the chance to be one of the best in gw2
all it needs is you
Regards
Havvik

@fizzlepip
i cant speak for GoM, but its amusing to think that your paranoid enough to believe that tier 7 servers are sending spies. HoD has its own problems to have to be sending people away on stupid missions like that. have you ever thought its your own server? maybe inexperienced players or someone who just goes afk? before you throw accusations at your opponents? maybe you should work on your server?
seriously keep it respectful. its been a fun couple weeks. its nice to be able to enjoy a good fight REGARDLESS OF WHATEVER TIER WE ARE IN. its a balanced tier. one of the few out there if you havent read the huge amounts of QQ in the forums. so just enjoy that.
anyways enough of my rant.
just a quick bump to keep this relevant
thank you! and were doing well, DH got some transfers for their night group so things are a bit more difficult. but were holding =D
@TeamBattleAxe. thank you :p and yes tier 7 is the tighest match up in NA as far as millenium is concerned,
@Theftwind my bad! i got as many guilds as i could :P, i know this isnt every guild in hod! but yours is now added to the list
Henge of denravi, despite its losses in the WvW, is still a thriving server and a community with its own, one with thriving guilds, active pve, and now were regaining our footing in wvw as were now pushing up the ranks slowly but surely. we can do it, but to gain the true potential of what henge players can do, we need your help, but if you dont believe me? how amazing H.o.D is, just ask these other players, one in particular by the name of Talia, who wrote this about H.o.D and made this picture for us =D along with a few quotes from commanders in Henge of Denravi.
From: Talia of CV
“Reeling from the swelling pits of an early mass exodus, the Henge of Denravi found, through time – its core. One that held fast through thick and thin, never losing hope or belief in the server, even when everyone else had. The heart and soul of HoD thrived through months of its agonizing slide in WvWvW, learning week by week to defend towers and keeps against overwhelming odds. It emerged from each fight with a lightness of heart, and strengthened comradeship, be it a win or a loss; thus discovering the true intent of GW2.
Today, HoD is strengthened, and its numbers grown around the core community that has organized itself through a chain of alliances, shared guild events, weekly schedule, server meetings, server voice chat and forums.
Several represented guilds of HoD consist of:
Divintus [Div]
Charter Vanguard [CV]

Its community consists of students, married couples, parents and grandparents – a healthy showing from all parts of the world, come together under one roof. Its interests lie in all parts of the game, from the very basic level to the most hardcore. Our WvWvW team has gradually strengthened over time, and has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the tier that we are in.
HoD is a community based server, which means that we value community over all else. Leaving no beginner behind, we provide WvW lessons, PvE mapping runs, as well as Orr temple runs to get you what you need to progress in the game. We even have a historical tours event for those who would like to learn more about the history of locales in GW2, and a weekly role-play group for those interested in the art.
We equally value your participation in our events, and taking part of our warm community over the server forum and mumble.
Hear what some have to say about HoD:
“The close-knit-ness of Henge of Denravi’s community is really what makes the server a great place to be. On any given night in WvW, I recognize between 50-75% of the names on the battlefield, which is something you just don’t get on other servers. It’s not that “no one is on”, it’s that the same people are on, and most of us get to know each other." – Valenna, Commander [GT]
“Well the community would be the only thing keeping me here. because when I first moved the guild here I quickly thought of moving to somewhere else… but its the people I met, either from recruiting or playing with everyone that made me decide to stay and do the best I could to help our server come back, this and the fact that so many people are trying so hard to make this work” – Havvik, Commander [LK]
“HoD has shown time and again that it really knows how to laugh off any failures, and try try again, no matter the opposition. It’s that die-hard core of HoD that makes it so pleasurable to fight alongside. Since the major hardcore WvW guilds left the server, HoD has found itself left with a bunch of casual, non-elitist, friendly group of guilds. People with families, jobs, and school – sharing time with each other at different parts of the day – all working hand in hand during the server events shared between guilds.” – Andrea B, Commander [CV]
so if a quality, friendly community of tight knit players who are looking for more is your kind of server? then come check out H.oD, you wont be dissapointed =D

also can we do fight night this week =D
“insert explosion of rage or love of transfers here”
HOD IS RECRUITING WVW PLAYERS…jk =) looking foward to another week
hi im from HOD, im stalking this thread >:) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA.
psst tier 7 has been alot of fun, rocking GOM/DH kittens
hugs and kisses
a random player
QQ…simple as that, its people who transfered that made this an issue, Anet cannot predict the future, i am glad they finally fixed the simplicity of transfers. and yeah they could have done it earlier, but regardless thats no reason to quit gw2. but then again..idk you so its your choice
man DH and GOM…your gonna keep me on my toes today arent you :P
okay idk if anyone from their guild will see this, but i want to give a shoutout of respect to the Guild Ravens Hold in GOM, your all very coordinated, and very talented players, everytime you guys show up its always an intense fight.
keep it up!, its been a fun week
i end tonight totally satisfied =). it was alot of fun, HOD doing incredibly well. then GOM/DH pushing back. no matter the scores, it will be an enjoyable week
haha that was alot of fun commanding the attack on garrison in HOD bl tonight. we had atleast 9 trebs up, we got close :P but props to the defense from Kaineng. it was an awesome fight, really intense. next time though the garrison is mine :p
its been a pleasure playing against both DR and SF, it has been a frustrating week for everyone at HoD, so it is probably why we have been a little tense when it comes to posts and being taunted, even if it is by a certain few.
anyways good luck to you Devonas Rest, we learned alot from you, hope you continue on your winning streak through the tiers, and if we ever face again, hopefully next time it will be more fair
Bump………………………………WvW this weekend dont miss it =D come see us in action
