You can get them from mobs during Jormag.

Even though it’s been nerfed to hell, I still get a lot of T6 mats from Heavy Moldy Bags whilst doing events in Cursed Shore. Penitent, Shelter, Plinx, Jofast, and temple events, especially Melandru pre-event (escorting to the beacons).

I did it solo – the first boss killed me a few times but his health didn’t regenerate so it was ok. The seals were a bit tricky but only took a few tries.

I was sad too, bought £17 worth of gems on February 20th – I should have waited 9 more days!

I had also already spent another £59 earlier that month. Haven’t spent any more money on gems since Feb.

I suppose the idea is to just buy the smallest amount of gems at least once each month to make sure you always qualify for the gifts, but that is too much like a subscription heh.

Anyway below are the kite basket locations I’ve found. I think it is the same for each server (I’m on Aurora Glade).

Queensdale – outside Shaemoor Garrison, north east corner
Kessex Hills – south west of Thunder Ridge
Brisban Wildlands – Duskstruck Moors (left of word Duskstruck)
Metrica Province – near Luminates Plant
Caledon Forest – Treemarch Estuary
Gendarran Fields – Talajian waypoint (north of)
Hrathi Hinterlands – Faun’s waypoint (north of)
Bloodtide Coast – Captain’s Cut, on the beach
Sparkfly Fen – Occuintl Grounds (POI north of Shimmerstone cave)
Timberline Falls – Talus Waypoint (north west of)
Lornar’s Pass – Greybeard’s Landing POI
Dredgehaunt Cliffs – Fridgardr Lodge POI (south of)
Diessa Plateau – Manbane’s Waypoint
Southsun Cove – one in Onyx Field POI, and another also just outside it before the bridge, and another east of Camp Karka waypoint on the coast with the skelks.

Sometimes they despawn when you approach them – they sometimes respawn a minute later, but not always.

I look forward to crafting radios, televisions, radars and digital watches.

I saw someone get the Legend from the Instigator event (and they were already using a legendary, of course heh).

I used the 10x recipe to get to 70 – only failed a few times. I had a lot more trouble using 1x to get the final 7 clovers – must have taken over 30 tries. I did get 5 destroyer lodestones but also alot of worthless mats like wood and leather.

363% MF and I’ve got 4 crates so far. But only got passion flowers, passion fruits and karka shells from them. All of my crates were from event mobs – crazed karkas, champion instigator, fed-up settler.

Buy any 4 pieces of temple karma armour and put it all into the Mystic Forge, then you get back 1 exotic piece of armour that you can sell or salvage.

Actually it’s possible to glitch past that desert gate On the other side the passage leads to the edge of a cliff that looks out over a vast ocean. Wasn’t possible to jump down though.

It makes me look like an idiot – just standing still getting killed.

Happened again last night during Penitent.

OK, I’m going to play with FRAPs running and I’ll try to record a video next time it happens.

Sometimes my WASD keys do not allow me to move even though I have not been immobilised or suffering from a condition. When this happens I can’t move or double tap to evade.

I can still perform skills by pressing number keys. Using a skill that causes movement such as Guardian Greatsword Leap of Faith usually causes the WASD keys to work for movement again.

It’s not that I have focused on the chat box and I know it’s not my keyboard because I can still click on the chat box and type “w”, “a”, “s” and “d” letters when I get stuck like this.

Same here, in Cursed Shore. There was a chest and it contained two Prickly Spider Legs.

We did it on Aurora Glade, but it’s boring and not worth the effort.

But my class (Guardian) doesn’t have a fall damage trait, so I can’t play that content anymore? There’s already not enough diversity with builds to require a specific trait for 1 piece of content anyway.

The 10x only failed about three times. Getting the 7 was quite painful – took me about 20 tries to get 7. I got some useless crap like wood/leather/bones but I also got about 5 Destroyer lodestones, which were worth 1g 30s each.

Armour does seem useless. I had 3200 and in WvW a single thief killed 2 other people – so I started chasing him down but then he killed me too. My health went from full (over 15K HP) to virtually nothing in 1 hit. And he was invisible almost the entire time.

Only the mini ice elementals during the event to take the temple of grenth give corrupted lodestones. Before/after the event the larger ice elementals there give glacial lodestones.

I agree. Cutscenes should never interrupt gameplay. It destroys the immersion and it’s extremely annoying when you’re in the middle of something like typing in chat-box, or sorting inventory etc.
There are specific moments when it’s safe to play a cutscene e.g. immediately after loading screen but before you are in the game (or even playing the cutscene whilst the game is loading).

I’ve got them quite often from Grenth temple (Cathedral of Silence) in Cursed Shore – the ice elementals on each side of the temple (not during the event).

Maybe they also drop from the other ice elementals at the top of the temple near the mini-chest but I’ve never got any from those.

Hmm a couple of days ago I salvaged 7 rares in a row and I only got 3 ectos I was using Mystic Salvage Kit.

Guess we have to use FRAPS to take a lossless screenshot.

I heard in-game the other day that someone got Dusk from a spider in Cursed Shore – on Aurora Glade server.

I got about 48 Soldier tonics before I got Endless Soldier, but only about 12 Griffon tonics before I got Endless Griffon.

I often convert 250 mithril into orichalcum – the lowest ori I ever got returned was 10 and the highest was 33.

Fine materials only seem worth upgrading if the T6 version is worth ALOT more than the T5 – otherwise it’s usually better to just sell the T5 mats and use the gold to buy the T6 ones.

Shouldnt the pois in the personal story be automatically picked up from the instance?
If not… how are you supposed to go back and get say the Claw Island ones if you have progressed passed that already?

By joining /sharing the mission with someone who hasn’t done it yet.

Actually I think that Explorer titles / discovering areas DO count. You need to uncover all of the locations written on the maps , which includes some hidden jumping puzzles.

Maybe you missed a POI from Claw island? You can only get there when doing the Personal Story mission.

And also make sure you go into Order of Whispers both ways – I think I had to do that to get my last POI.

They all look the same but have different stats and runes, so you can mix and match if you want e.g. I got Aurora for the Legs and the rest was all Rubicon.
