Hello,
I did not read through all posts, sorry.
I agree with the OP, it is sad to not be able to finish F&F solo. I personnaly do not like dungeons but other aspects of the game. I do as few dungeon as possible (did the 5 runs for a monthly reward few months ago + the personal story one).
And to answer first post MatthewMedina:
“We worked hard to ensure that the dungeon experience we have crafted is not simply possible to complete by groups of all different skill levels and compositions, but more importantly that it is lots of fun and rewarding for everyone”
This week end I tried it. The other 4 members of the group were experienced with this dungeon. And after several trials (at least 5, if not more) against the set of 2 bosses (the one which flies and sends fire all around + the berserker) we finally abandonned.
Result: 2 hours of the sunday lost + frustration + no fun + I have to redo this dungeon.
I’m ok with dungeon as long as it is actually fun and feasible … as it is now it is not.
In another post I mentioned I liked the 2 instances do-able in solo and suggested to have dungeons with difficulty scaled based on player number (1 to 5)

Hello,
just to say I appreciated to be able to do the instances in solo.
I had like to see more of this (solo instances) and even applied to the original dungeons. Or even better, adapt the difficulty based on the number of team members (be it 1).

Same for me, in 2 games.
We get a message saying that the “map is not flagged for testing”.
Hello,
in case you did not notice the Black Lion trading company is awfully slow.
Hope you are working on it and will fix it asap.

And now I came accross lightfoot passage vista. Again it is not a jumping puzzle per definition … But I still feel like this kind of thing has nothing to do in an MMO. Or as I said before, not being mandatory at least.
I lost more than 1 hour of gaming time, some money as you may guess in one hour I died several times there (a missed jump means most of the time instant death + some travel), was nervous, so not entertained at all and guess what ? I play a game for fun.
Most of the game is fun and I do not mind most vistas, but the ones like this one ? No, really …. no !
I stopped playing stupid Jumping Mario Bros games around 20 years ago (and I’m not that old, I swear). This is not to find this kind of thing again in a supposedly mature game (well in my mind an MMO is supposedly a mature game, am I wrong ?).

Waow I see this bug has been reported 3 months ago and still not countermeasured …
I just tried to do it on Fort Ranik (French server). There the event has been started but the shark and his friends are completely invisible.
Same as described by Maal.
[EDIT] Actually the shark and friends are hidden in the roof. Go up close to the roof, press 1 and wait. With a necro-pet all my pets travelled through the roof to attack the sharks. At the end the symbol above the shark will be empty but it will be marked completed on your map.

I confess I have not read everything here above, so sorry if what I’m writing has been mentioned.
The debate is on minions not attacking while in combat, in lots of occasions the flesh golem is too agrresive. I mean sometimes I just walk, pass by ennemies (in red), me and all the other pets follow, except the golem who decided to attack the monster.
In other words, often the golem just decides to atack when you do not target, select and when everything else just pass by.
As a result when I pull a monster, the flesh comes in the fight with additional “friends”.
And as debated above, regularly, when you are in combat, the golem just does not attack.
I have read (not sure if here or in another post) a suggestion to adapt F2-F4 keys to pet commands.
I have played many other MMO and in every other ones we add the possibility to set the stance of minions (passive, auto, aggressive). Or even give actual attack commands.
I think it is a great idea and could be very helpful to bypass those issues.

Looks like my post on the subject started a debate
My reference is this site: http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/interactive-maps/
Here you can see the Diessa Plateau JP with only 9 pictures to show how to finish it.
On the other hand the DredgeHaunt Cliffs one: http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/vista-113/19102/ is not labelled as a JP (maybe a mistake on the site). Yet 50 pictures are needed to show the path.
As I mentioned in my 2nd post, I could make with one (probably less difficult) JP to show off this exists. But this debate proves that it is not that clear.
And to answer to cpg’s remark “I don’t see how they could add anything “mandatory” in future content”. I did not play GW1 so I have no idea how expansions went. But I guess there will be new maps to explore and new achievements for the expansions.
People will have 100% for the base game, but you will have to get your 100% related to the expansion exploration. Even with only one map they could add a 100% exploration achievement beyond the one from the base game.
I would rather not see JP to get to vista, or even non-JP-but-very-close-to-JP.
And I would rather not see any other mandatory thing which is a complete hassle (at least for some people) for a 100% completion.
Also I understand this 100% exploration should be like “hey, I did it” when done, I also think that if you take the exploration itself, it is already quite a huge accomplishement.

Hello,
that’s great news and then I can be fine with it.
Actually yesterday I did my second jumping puzzle leading to a vista.
The first one I did was in Kessex Hills in the south east. It leads to a vista (and a skill point too). Now maybe there is another way. I confess I followed a guide I found on the net.
At that time I already thought about posting my message, but I passed and thought, let’s see …
Then yesterday I came accross this second one in Dredgehaunt cliffs at the south west. I’m not sure about the broken wall, I hope it is this one

Hello,
I love the emphasis the game designers put on encouraging us to explore the world.
Yet I have one (huge !) issue when careful jump becomes required.
The idea of vistas is good and most of them are ok, like going through a grotto to reach the other side of a montain, or easy basic jumping on the roof of a small house, or the small stairs in the Asuras starting area.
But while wandering in the world I crossed a vista that requires some careful jump (I don’t remember where) and I almost abandonned. I persevered and got it. Fine.
Then inevitably I crossed a jumping puzzle …
I’m not sure how to say it, just one thing: this is not fun.
I mean I play a game to relax and have fun. Those jumping things are not fun at all.
Yet they are mandatory for the 100% exploration as some of them lead to vistas.
And the 100% exploration is required to build up a legendary weapon.
Also my playtime is not that big and when I have say 1 or 2 hours during the evening, I want to do different things, different events, some pvp, and certainly not spend 2 hours doing this.
Ok so I know some people like it and want more. Here is an example:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Title-for-Jumping-Puzzles-1/first#post1044105
So here is my suggestion (valid for the next maps you will create) in order to please everybody:
If you create new jumping puzzles, or new things that are more hassle than actual fun, please do not make them mandatory.
Give a good reward, like a nice chest, a nice title, whathever, but do not make them mandatory.
