Back with a new burst chrono roaming vid (PvP/WvW). Hope you can enjoy!

I had some issues with the intro, i know myself, that it is way below my normal editing lvl (so noobier than noob this time). The story with the music was much better in my mind and i know, that ppl with a little screen maybe cant see what happens in the intro gameplay footage. Sry for that, i hope few of you still can enjoy it. Otherwise just skip it to 1:00.

Dont take this vid too serious its only a fun vid, mostly just me more or less unfocused and lagging trolling in unranked to get the ap for the capricorn achievement. One of my subs wanted a vid with the new pvp map, here it is

hi ferdi thx for your post. lot of ppl have this problem from time to time (i have it periodically since july 2016 for ex.), sadly most of the ppl dont post in this forum it seems

@andraus: thx for your answer! as an amateur in server- and connection technics i thought the same, because it sounds logical. But like 2 years ago we had 2 guildmember rly pros in it, both said, that it is known and possible to have a server issue that dont hit all ppl on the server. no one can explain why this is possible but it is. since then i made the experience in wvw for ex. like 90% of the zerg in wvw are complaining about hard laggs some days but there are also few ppl dont have any problems during standing right beside me… and how do you explain, that there are a lot of ppl with the same ping problem atm and the month before? i saw ppl complaining about it in mapchats and in engl and german forum, also in my guild (interesting: ppl have the problem not always at the same time than me). they have different provider, life at different places and even countries. Just coincidence? I cant believe it. Also im not saying it is the server for sure, maybe it is something on the server or the software or the rooting from anet in between their servers, all i say is, that i think its not problem of my provider (alone), anet should look at it too instead of just give all back to the providers…

The only thing i get is: " In your first screenshot, it’s the in between lines with the | that show the estimated packet loss between the nodes." Does that mean there is no packet loss shown in the game advisor screenshot (the first one), except 1% and 2 %? And can you explain what the lines above the one with the | mean than? For ex.:

10 —- 100/ 100 =100% 93/ 100 = 93% 206-127-157-102.ncsoft.com
0/ 100 = 0% |

And what is your in general conclusion about all my screenshots? i mean, you say ping is not relevant but with an ingame ping from 2000 its unplayable and i still think the pingspikes arent caused by my provider. So what can i do? a ticket to support got closed more than one time because anet says its my connection…

hi thx for your answer, but as i said, there are 2 different problems. My connection issues (they are always there but never ever caused pinkspikes before july 2016), so i lag because of packet lost already before anet servers (i always do since gw2 release, more or less, i know this). But i never had pingspikes like this before july 2016 and also the pingplotter never looks like this when i dont have pinkspikes. So there are 2 problems: one packet-lost problem from my connection and the pingspikes from something else.

That my connection is bad makes it easy to say that everything is caused by my connection but im sure the pingspikes are not or at least not only from my provider. I lag since gw2 release, but never had pingspikes before. Also im not the only player having this pingspike problem and im sure at least some of them have different provider and routing than me…

I had the ping problem (ppl now have after last patch) already before (and i know, im not the only one had this problem already before last patch). I dont have it every day (sometimes nothing in 2 weeks) and than it restart again. When it restart i have it like 30mins – 3 hours one or two times a day (maybe more often a day, but i dont know because im quite busy irl, so i didnt play that much the last months). Last restart of the pingspikes were today afternoon (maybe earlier but i was offline since yesterday 11pm CET). The first time i had the problem for several days was in july 2016. I never had fps drops during this!

I already wrote a ticket like a month ago, after i saw several threads in forum from other ppl who had same problem at the same time. I also mentioned this to the support, but because my own connection is bad most of the time the support closed the ticked and said it is all only because of my connection, so my provider has to solve the problem.

BUT: my connection issues never caused pingspikes in the last 4 years. I can lag hard but my ping always was not higher than 100, so it wasnt spiking like this. Im sure not an expert but im very sure that the pingspikes are not a problem caused by my bad connection/my provider, its caused by the ncsoft servers!

Still it maybe makes no sense to re-open a ticket and get the same answer. So i try it here. I found several little threads from other ppl about same problem after last patch, but only few little threads maybe dont get enough attention, so lets try to make a big one and hope anet will start to think about it…

So if you ever had the pingspike problem in the last months, no matter if it was already before last patch and no matter if you dont have it atm and no matter if you already posted it in this forum than pls post it in this thread (again), so we get a big one that cannot be ignored.

The common gs2-blink combo is a high risk-high reward combo (in case your target know that your around, its easy to hit it on enemies who are busy with something else or dont know that you are near). High risk because you use a lot of cooldown for it (and blink is a mid-high cooldown that gave you a stunbreak and a disengage opportunity in the defensive use), so you should be as sure as possible to hit it. Count dodges and be aware of the defensive cds of your enemy and vs good player (who are focused on you for examp. in a duell) its a bad idea to start a fight with it most of the time, because they are fast in reaction and have all cds and dodges rdy to counter. And as frostball mentioned your clones can not only bodyblock dmg for you, they can also block the visiblity of your skill-animations, so you can hide the animation behind your clones to be less predictable.

It also depend on the utilities and weapons you use for how often and when to use the blinkcombo, for example when you only use one stunbreak (blink) you rly should be sure to hit the combo when you use blink offensive.

Also it depends on the class/build you fight against. Lot of builds use at least one melee weaponset, so you can be sure they will come close to you sooner or later anyway to be in meleerange for a gs2-shatter, there isnt always the need to use blink for it.

With blink you can get a stealth shattercombo from maxrange on an target, so your target cannot prepare. Lot of ppl like to stealth out of los to the target and than blink in with shatterburst. If you wanna do that, than be aware that some stealth like torch or massinv can be heard. For examp. i always like mesmer using this kind of stealth behind a wall on skyhammer and than blink to me and im always prepared because i heard them stealthing

You can start the combo with gs4 to bait a dodge but than be sure to start gs2/blink with a bit of delay to hit the shatter when the dodge ends, that also give you the time to change your plan when your enemy counter gs4 in an other way than you expect. Vers other mes i like to start the fight with gs4 or gs4 + dazemantra sometimes. How your enemy react on it gave you very fast a good idea on how he play. Lot of mesmer panicking and use decoy to break the stun for example, thats a fail because decoy dont prevent you from taking the damage from the zerker. If i see them stealth i just throw my gs2 in the air or on the decoy-clon to hit him even more (sure with a bit of luck, but gs2 has a short cd so without waste a blink you can just try to hit it on a stealthed target). Other mesmer use decoy and blink to get away from the gs4-stun, what make me even more happy but be prepared that he maybe decoy and than start to go offensive with blink-gs2 shatter out of stealth directly in da face.

Start with gs4 is also a risk because its a good visible long cast that can be interrupted easy, for examp by mesmers with dazmantra. so it always depend on the situation and enemy how to start fights and how and when to use combos. In the end its all about be less predictable and change the way you use your combos (esp when fighting same enemy more than once) at least in the moment your enemy start to counter your way of playing.

Important: the intro is very long this time and because of copyright issues i had to add profession icons on the faces. I rly like this editing in comedy/parody vids like noxxi doing it. But i dont think its fitting well in my more drama/action intro (also im very bad in editing them). so a lot of atmosphere and storyline is killed by it, but i needed days to make the intro so i used it the way you can see it now. i hope at least some of you maybe can still enjoy it and understand what i wanted to do. I think you need to know the movie i used (the neverending story, movie for children, very nice if you still have a bit of a child in your heart you should watch it ). if you dont know the movie you maybe better skip the intro and start watching at min 1:38.

The 2 charrthiefs on the pillars i dont know, they just reminded me so much at the moviescene that i made the intro they didnt know that i recorded it.

im totally jealous about your editing-skillz, can you tell me the editing program you use? Must be a hell of a work this vid, i already need ages for my noobish basic editing. Maybe one reason that my focus is more about presenting /supporting music artists than high-end editing but some things i rly would like to do too (where do you find the animations like the target lock thing for example? i know i can add animations with my freeware vsdc free video editor but i couldnt find gifs and animations via google to download, only find pics).

Hi thats a good question. wall of text inc sry -.-

The first choice we have is between torment on shatter or might on shatter, right? I didnt do the math myself but as far as i know the result of that math was, that torment give more dmg in a power build than the mightstacks (crazy condis…). Dont know tbh if this result is still up to date or if they changed torment so that might now give more dmg. But even when the tormenttrait only would give the same or bit less dmg than the might-trait, i would pick up the torment, 1. because there are some condis still hurt also on full zerker, like fire, torment and confu, because 2. its also a psychological effect (can make enemy panicking and/or using his condiremoves) and because 3. its still running also when enemy is disengaging or stealthing (what is easier in wvw because no points to hold) also you can see the condi-ticks if enemy hide behind something, so hes easier to find and enemy stay infight for longer also when i dont hit him anymore (6.5 sec without any condiduration is also more than enough). Might can be removed or corrupted quite well by some classes and i make more than enough direct-dmg already. So only in case the mightstacks would give much more dmg than the torment i would choose the might-trait.

The other choice is between improve shatters (master of fragm.) and ineptitude. This choice is much harder to take. Sure its nice to reflect a bow2 on a dh every 40 sec but a range(!!!) blind every 10 sec on same target without targtetlimit is better. sure the cripple on f2 is nice especially for disengages but also here the blind with insane short cd and no targtetlimit is better (saved my kitten during escaping form the 6 ppl in the underdog-montage for example). aoe interrupt on f3 is nice but i dont fight that much groups in wvw and on 2-3 targets i can use different clones and myself on different targets for the same result (so improved f3 makes life only easier if needed). and hight critchance on f1 is nice but i run full zerker already i make enough dmg already. ineptitude is my defense. and from playing both traits a longer time i feel like ineptidude save my kitten more often than the improved shatters. The confu is a nice side-effect, since you apply condis with shatters too (and also with the blind by shatter) and you have 33% confu-duration in minortrait of illusion, so it hurts. The build i played in the kill bill vid (in traits near to this new one but with scepter- so bit more confustacks than with gs/s/t) made almost more condidmg than direct dmg with zerker amulet (pvp duells, enemies told me the dmg-sources after dying), thats how op condis are designed in this game.
But yes you can take improved shatter-trait if you want, its good too. Its even better when you have problems with projectile-classes or when you not run full zerker and need some critchance.

the fight with the revs normally would be some kind of fail rotation. it would be the best rotation for a condimes but it was a high risk with shatter mes to stay there. Try to decap/cap far was important and no one else could do it at this time, so i run there. when i saw the ele running to decap mid i tried my lucky by stay on far. i was semi focused on the fight (like heal the rev almost full during his heal up, or use gs5 into his stabi) because i had to watch the minimap same time, in case situation change to something where it would be better not to stay in a longer fight on far and leave with open a portal for regroup instead. The moa fail in the end was kinda unlucky, i thought the downed rev will not use his downstate knockback right after the other rev used his staff5 to interrupt me. I started the moa in the back of the other rev in hope both revs dont see it, dont know if the downed rev still saw the moa cast or if he just lucky used his downstate knockback random. after moa interupt i tried to get as much cc skills and dmg-potential back from cs as possible, in case the living rev survive longer and continue to res. So it wasnt a perfectly played fight from me but in the end i won the fight and it won us the match, so who cares)

Depends on the skills. for some skills you have quite some time, for others (mostly the skills in the second half of the vid) its very hard or almost impossible to do it deliberately.

Hiho, somehow i managed it, to put my next vid up right on time before christmas. Im happy because i wanted it to be a christmas present for all 400+subs and also all ppl watching my vids!

I know its a bit long, but i couldnt delete any song.
I also know that the music isnt everyones taste, but it is a music special (so a subs asked me for) and i dont even try to fit with everybodies music taste. In the worst case you wasted 7 min of your life, not that hard i think.
This will be the last vid for a while. With HoT i will do a lot PvE in the beginning, so the next wvw/pvp vid will need at least 4-6 weeks i guess. Sry for that greetings jazz x man

and: if you see this happen you can cancel the skill by pressing right mousebutton and use the skill again without any cd (your writing dont make it clear that you know it, if you know than sry for telling the obvious. but i am the master of the obvious… obviously! ).

@sparda: aaah you mean the song fits because of my writing in this forum? about that some ppl didnt understand the storytelling with the hardmodebuild in the second part of the kill phil-vid? ok than i understand btw i dont see any reason why your youtube comment is inappropriate compared to the others comment? however thx for the compliments! dont mind to like and subscribe on youtube, i assure you that isnt inappropriate! hehe youtube newbies like me need every support they can get

@kaffeglass: if you wanna make a constructive comment than pls add some examples (like vidname min:sec), so i can take a look at the dodges you mean. before you do so pls check the dodges in terms of :
1. dodges for clones (for example before a shatter or before using heal or for bodyblock-cloning)
2. dodges for movement (if i have the feeling that the enemy dont pressure too hard so i dont need all my dodges for defense than i use them for make some space sometimes) or repositioning (repositioning dodges can avoid way more dmg than evade an attack btw).
3. dodges before weaponswap with energielvl way above 50% (not happen very often otherwise it would be a waste to use double energiesigills in the first place)
further think about to analyse the whole energie-management and not only single dodges. dont get me wrong, i sure dont wanna say, that i never waste a dodge (especially when i am lagging more than a bit it can happen that i need to rdm-dogde because of delay, but that i would call semi-rdm because i have a reason for it ) and sure sometimes i think an attack is coming but enemy do something else, so i dodge unnecessary, no one is perfect so…
but in the end i have my dodges rdy to evade stuff when i need them usually, so i cant make that much wrong with it. the other dodges aside evading current attacks are part of the tactic/playstyle i can do because of using double energiesigills. so i have a bit liberty to use my energie for more than just evade current attacks and most important: its about having a feeling in which situations/ against which enemies you can use dodges for something else… sure the movement dodges are a bit of a luxury i do if the enemies give me that much breathing room (especially the double dodges to close the gap to targets)… so thats all about get a feeling for your enemy i talked about in the rektoning vid. for example there i just dodged because of laughing after the thief rly started to panicking and I could push him out of his sr in the dead, just like i predicted
you should also explain what you mean with rdm-dodging (in my experience ppl can mean totally different things with that). rdm-dodging in the meaning " using energie braindead senseless" i cannot find in my gameplay. i know the skillanimations from all classes and i can react fast enough (if i dont lag too much), so i dont need to just dodge because i have no idea what is coming or what to do else…

@messiah: you can have perma-slow if you focus on it a bit more than i do with a shatter-version. even with my shatterbuild you have slow on targets pretty often, not perma but annoyingly often. also in some fights in the vid my shield 4 was on autoattack (i told this in the vid description), so the skill was interrupted and wasted sometimes (mean no phant, so also no slow).
to the op-question: op is a thing of relation to other classes and we dont have all informations about all classes right know, so i cant rly say anything about this. we have to wait. start to cry about something is too strong or too weak without having all informations makes no sense. i have a feeling that the “clon- and phant-after shatter”-traits in chrono-line maybe are too strong in a phantasm- or shatterbuild, especially since the mechanic isnt very skillbased. and maybe the autostacking slow on lost time can count to 10 instead of 5, or better get a stackmechanic that is more skillbased than just automatically stack by crithit… but this rly depends on how much counter will classes get to slow, how much quickness and slow will be ingame when all classes have their specialisations out… ect ect. i am not that sure, that f5 will be op in tpvp for itself, because you have to know how to use it, you have to be quick with clicking to get a big reward. you can punish yourself deadly by using it wrong. sure you get a 90s cd moa or timewarp at least without need any clones but that cost you 2 skills with an high( 90s if always used together) cd. in wvw and pve its a different story. you can do crazy stuff with f5 there. and sure f5 can make op easy cheesy builds even more crazy, but the problem is the already op stuff and not the chronostuff in this relation. i cannot say anything about the wells, i didnt have the time to try them

hi again! i am back with a new vid, some chronomancer stuff from bwe. pls notice the vid description before watching! in the short summary after the intro i mostly only show tooltips for ppl who couldnt play the beta, so they can watch the traits and skills. if you know them, than just skip this part (skippoints you can find in the description). than a trait- and skillexplanation is following and in the end some gameplay in the fields. its just one build (two if you add the slowdown version) because i didnt have that much time to play that weekend (wts hype!!! ). hope you enjoy!
