High dps, high survivability. Can solo champs.
-constant condi removal
-constant evades
-isn’t boring(opinion)
-great condi damage
-some team buffs(might stack, you have 2 blast finishers)

The aoe’s do not bother me, it keeps people from just standing there. Which is good. I do not want to just sit there and WoW spam a raid boss.

BUT

The one-shot mechanic is complete BS. “Oh, you missed your dodge roll? HaHa!! You have to be rez’d, but you cant because your in an aoe spam!”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^GW2 version of challenging, 1-hit mechanic sucks.

Ex: Arah has this, there is one add that if you just run past, they will one shot you from a distance.

They can and will, I see no reason they shouldn’t do both. I agree with there methods in this instance.

Why wouldn’t you take advantage of someone with extra money and little patients? If someone wants to cut line at six flags they pay for a special pass, its the same here. You can pay for your gold/gems if you don’t wanna wait.

As far as the original reasoning of said post, they do this to take advantage of peoples with extra money but they still offer their services for “labor” if you don’t have the cash.

LOL Think back to what was said pre-release. All classes are equal, and can keep themselves up. We do not need healers and tanks because of this, that’s why it is not incorporated. Then why is it every group needs a guardian?

All I want is better scaling. My engi build is beautiful at 80, but feels horrible when scaled down. Also as previously stated, npcs seemed scaled wrong to your level sometimes.

I will say it again, GW2 creators made the “highest potential” game that ive ever seen. Its a good game, that could be better than great. Its a new release still, patients is a virtue.

I mentioned the utilities and weapons in the description

I run pistol/shield, bomb kit, g’nade kit, med kit, supply crate and elixir r(recover from stun)

Also the medpack removes conditions every 15 seconds and you have a passive 8% chance to convert conditions into boons.

This is not the easiest class to run, but it works. You have to constantly swap between pistil/shield, bomb kit, nade kit, and med pack.

This is a PvE Build. I run a, semi-close, different build for PvP. And im yet to spend much time in the best aspect of the game, WvW, with this build.

As far as runes and sigils, I run Sapphire Orbs in my armor and Sapphire Jewels in my accessories . I use the major rune of life in my pistol, to stack even more healing power.

This is the closest to a healing class that you can get in this game, you have endless heals and regeneration. Which I incorporate into a Bunker/Melee Support Build.

THE ONLY WAY ANY OF THIS WILL MAKE SINCE IS TO HAVE A LEVEL 80 ENGINEER TO DO THIS ON. Go buy all master work gear with power, toughness, and healing power. It only cost like 30 silver to buy a full set of master armor, accessories, orbs, and jewels with these stats.

Thought I should name my build

I personally love my Engi Bunker/Melee Support Build (PvE), yet to try in WvW and I havea different bunker build for pvp.

I run a toughness, power, and healing power. I heal myself and allies with bombs. I can keep myself up without using conventional heals. I have constant regen and bomb heals are surprisingly nice. One note, that sucks, it scales horridly when dropping back down from 80 to a lower level for some reason.

Explosives- 10pts- drop a bomb when evading, 3 Bombs have a larger radius
Firearms- 0pts
Inventions- 30pts- regen for 10 sec when hit under 25% health,1 Protection for 3 secs when hit with crit, all heal skills reset at 25% health(useless because I run medpack)9 supply crate has extra supplies(more med kits and turrets), 11 bombs heal allies(and yourself)
Alchemy- 20pts- elixir b at 75% health(retaliation for 12 secs, plus 3 other boons and it has no cooldown)6 gain protection whenever disabled for 3 secs, 5 sec cooldown, 8% chance of converting conditions into boons, 9 gain regen wen using a kit( u near always have a kit equipped)
Tools- 10pts- I simply put it here for the constant swiftness(if gw2 had templates to save multiple builds I would have a better use for these 10 pts)

Special Note- the tool belt part of elixir r allows you to self rez yourself if you somehow get downed. You simply throw it at your feet when you think your bout to go down or use it to rez multiple teammates at once.

This is by far my favorite class and I love this build for pve.

your suppose to skip it? that is stupid imo. power level is scaled in such a horrid manner. I like how challenging=“getting 1 hit” and I do not literally mean 1 hit, im referring to being knocked down over and over until you die, and other basically 1 hit scenarios. evade serves a purpose, but u cannot spam it as much as they can their attacks. I like this game, but kitten I wanna love it

The ‘problem’ with CM is that it is designed to ‘skip’ some parts.
You can and should skip the big groups in the cave. You should skip the next groups until you get into that small room under the floor, and fight everything that’s coming there, nuking everything with AoEs. You should exploit the AI design when placing bombs at the gate.
This is how it’s designed. Most people ignore the tactics that are necessary to win easily and they just try to bruteforce stuff, failing.

All i can suggest is to try stirring your guildies a bit and organising CM runs with your guildies, filling spots with pugs from LA. Given you can multiguild and do dungeons cross-server within the same database, you can look for a guild that does CM fairly often and ask them if anyone’s up for a run.

also on one the option is greyed out while the other laptop comes up with it already selected. it does not make since

lol yah so I have 2 laptops. both with NVidia 3d vision. One will run GW2 in 3d the other will not. both are up to date. I have tried running evga precision x in the background, as it has helped some.

m17 r4 alienware laptop will not run 3d.
