My very first character was a Necro: it didn’t take a long time to learn how it all worked, but I managed, and still use him quite frequently today. I also recently maxed out a Mesmer, and it’s fun to have one of them, let me tell ya (especially when traits starts rolling in).
Bottom line: play what interests YOU the most! You aren’t being pressure to joining whatever profession. Be like me: try them all!

Hello there GW2 community!!!
Recently, I have went back on my first, and only, maxed character to get one major thing done that I, and probably many others, dread on doing. You heard me right: map completion.
Although I have 70% of the map done, I was recently told that the Borderlands (Crystal Desert, Isle of Janthir, Henge of Denravi, & Eternal Battlegrounds) were apart of this, and my mouth dropped.
With only two more vistas in EB, and HoD Borderlands completed, and being apart of the HoD server, what tips can be given to when it comes to trying to complete the Crystal Desert + Isle of Janthir Borderlands? How come they all don’t ‘connect’, since it’s basically the same map again?
And if anyone wants to be a big support to me, and happens to be on HoD as well, would anyone be interested in helping me get through these areas? Or at least give me some tips/tricks on how to get through these areas easily?

Good day to all my guild wars 2 players!
I am here to introduce to everyone a brand new guild I have recently made, and would like to get the word out about it. My new guild is an ordinary, not-an-everyday name you see, but I have a good story behind this name, which why I created it.
I am introducing to everyone my brand new guild, Children Of Light And Shadow [LITE]! This guild name was inspired by another MMORPG, and their recent update on ending the second chapter of their storyline that everyone has been dying to happen. When this content came out, defeating the final boss of the second chapter rewards you a new badge, Child Of Light And Shadow (so you can see that all I did was plural Child into Children).
So, who are we, and what are we as a guild?
I am a some-what experienced guild leader when it comes to guilds, but to the GW2 world, I still have a lot to learn when it all comes down to it. I may not be one of the most respected, well-known people apart of the community, but I am an extreme activist, and want to get the word out of the guild being a family-oriented guild.
What are requirements to join the guild?
As long as you know how to play the game, and you have the game installed, this is the main thing I look for. However, to go in depth, briefly, you would just need to be a semi-active player apart of the community.
Am I required to represent the guild at all times?
I won’t force you to represent the guild all day, everyday, but it is appreciated to represent.
How does ranking work?
Ranks are determined based upon loyalty, and trustworthy. The guild has four different levels of permissions, but it has seven different ranks for members (this is excluding the founder rank, of course).
What are the ranks, and how do we choose?
Here is the rank list, from greatest power, to least (Numbered 1-4) (italicized info. by each rank):
Now, to keep it shorter: all new members will start out as a Lost Child. After a couple of weeks, you will be asked to choose a path (either it being Light or Shadow), then you will be promoted up to the next rank you are available too. This continues as you build up loyalty with, not only the leaders/officers of the guild who would vouch for you if wanting a recruiting spot, but also the founder of the guild.
Overall, I am not looking to recruit all the time, as I’d prefer for those who are loyal to a guild, no matter the shape or standing the guild is in. If anyone is interested in joining, send me a letter on GW2 with the subject title ‘Children Of Light And Shadow – I’ll Join!‘. Send this too Joseph.9853, and I will try to respond to the letter ASAP! * I’d like to point out I’d prefer new members to be on the HoD server, but definitely not required. *

I am recruiting for my tight-knit little guild, Golden Hearted [GH].

Bio. of the Guild:
Golden Hearted [GH] became a guild apart of the GW2 Community as of November 17, 2013, and we will strive to be a small, tight-knit-like guild where we can share common, or different, interests with each other. Help others quest on there story lines, battle some wicked monsters, or even just chat with the guild members.
As I am a beginner of this game, and know how many other gaming communities work, I decided to start up an in-game community. Most communities will have a website you have to join, but I have too much real-life issues to worry over, so we will go like that.
REQUIREMENTS:
~In order to be apart of the [GH] Crew, we require that you are at least the age of 14, or older. Please note that age is not necessarily the #1 quality we look for, but in a maturity level it is.
~Attitude must be ‘golden,’ meaning do not be a smart-alike to anyone.
RULES:
*We ask you are an active member apart of the community. Inactive members will have their own special rank, if they do not maintain this rank.
*Just always remember to treat others the way you want to be treated, and always have fun!
Ranks are Determined based upon activity, loyalty, trustworthiness, teamwork, and sportsmanship here in the guild. We ask that all members strive to the fullest, but in a self manner.
