We cater to both beginner and experienced players—although the more committed or “hardcore” players might find our guild a bit too casual for their tastes. We enjoy bringing in new players and helping them understand the game and welcome those players with more experience who are willing to share it as well. We are located on JQ server.

The shroud is fun, but the shouts and greatsword are terrible. Everything is far too weak for too long of cast-time.
This sums up what I thought exactly. Shouts take too long for a cast, and with enough people (in WvW terms) on you, much interruption, more death. Greatsword was weak; it took me FOREVER to take down a single enemy in PvE.

This is one of the servers my guild and I are looking into. We are wanting to expand our WvW-base to members in our guild, even the newer ones, to be on our server with us when we do WvW. The only problem with our server is that we are full right now, and because of the recent WvW changes, I see the server staying semi-permanently full, so it’s not worth the time/effort in getting people onto a full server versus one that has a lot of space.
I will definitely consider looking into this server, as what I read looks awesome!

This is more or less what I use in WvW.
- huge survivability and LF generation
- Perma 25% speed boost
- no issue at all in 1v1 (just use DS and enjoy your 100% crit chance)
- 2 stun breaker
- No need to be skilled just a good understanding on how spectral skills and DS work is needed.
Looked at this one, and saw you do not use a staff; not sure if either weapon set could be replaced by that without the build not working as efficiently, so this one could be a pass on for now. Will definitely give it a try though soon!

WARNING: WISE has recently dropped in activity levels in the guild, from an average of 5-15 people online at the general play hours, to 5 or less. Due to this, please note know this can cause delays in any type of guild event, or cancellations, as well as cause some serious loneliness. For the time being, as we try to improve the activity levels, do not join this guild if you plan to leave in less than 24hrs. for this reason exactly: invites to these individuals will not be distributed in the future.
I can say I will use the axe more in this case than what I will the scepter. I am really trying to prepare this character for what we could expect out of the elite specialization (greatsword) for the necros, and was rather told of power.
I did some changing/configuring around with skills/gear, so I will post it here, as well as edit in OP for future readers.
Armor went from soliders to berserkers, but maintained soldiers on trinkets for some extra survivability.
Swapped out scepter for axe, as well as focus for warhorn.
Changed from traveler runes to speed runes (could avert back; did it for the vitality purposes, but travelers may end up being going back too; big purpose is the speed; would rather not go back to a signet, or trait for just speed).
So I gave in and decided to try berserkers gear out with wells; while I did not fully just change everything, my armor/weapons is currently berserker stats, while my trinkets are continuing to be soldiers.
Although I’m not getting the full load from hitting with the wells like I could be, is there something I could still change in regards to builds? Or is what I have no something useful?
I also will mention I will change out scepter for axe in my scepter/warhorn combo, as when I feel it’s needed, but continue to keep staff on main hand.
There is a News Blog post about the new Legendaries, if you care to peruse it. As much as some posters like to bring a ‘ray of sunshine’ to every thread, I’m pretty confident there will be new Legendaries, new Precursors, a new Mastery line associated with them, new skins, and a new method of obtaining said items.
I would love to hear more about them, as well. =)

This is true, after participating in the beta for when Revenant was in Maguuma still. They had a special track I believe called ‘Legendary Mastery’, and it went towards getting the precursor for the legendary (current ones anyway, but couldn’t activate it since I’m sure its under development).
While I cannot guarantee you the activity you are wanting, something to maybe consider… but timezone could be an issue, I will put that forward. If we can’t meet that expectation, always encourage you to check out the FA Community forums to find a guild there. http://fort-aspenwood.com
