Awesome night in EBay bl last night. I’d love to say we snatched your bay because we were trying to draw you away from the big fight for SM, but the truth is, we had no idea there was a big fight at SM. We (about 8 GOATS) just headed into their map thinking to cap some supply camps and see what we could get away with. We found the entire borderlands… empty. Really empty. Ghost town empty. Rapture-and-no-one-told-us empty. There was even one poor ranger afk at a sentry, just standing in the middle of the road like his soul had been taken. Super creepy. EBay always shows up within seconds, right? Where were they? Thinking we were gonna meet massive numbers at any moment, we took all the camps, Briar, Lake, and a fully upgraded bay. By that time we’d picked up a handful of peeps from WFD, WAR, and EDGE, but I think that put our numbers at maybe 15. More like 12, because some GOATs had to work in the morning and had to leave. EBay started to trickle in, still not the numbers we’d thought would come but enough to shove us out of bay pretty quickly. We headed to Briar to dig in and hold it for as long as we could and that must have been when the mighty battle for SM ended, because… yeah.

Ebay came home, and MAN were there a lot of em. We sieged up Briar, wrote letters to our mommas and sweethearts, called out useless orders to PuGs who don’t read chat, and the battle for Briar commenced. Briar’s front lawn was a boiling mass of angry Ebayers but we were holding on when from the west came… Anvil Rock. LOTS of Anvil Rock. They smashed into the side of Ebay, tearing up their siege and chasing them clean out of sight. While those two zergs were gone, we ran and took Vale supply back and built more siege. That’s when Kalkz and Borlis’ Eternal zerg arrived. They came flying out of Vale supply, charged off to lord-knows-where, and apparently were completely pasted by Anvil. It must have been bad, because Kalkz & Co. left about three minutes later saying we were on our own. EBay came back to Briar, but AR pushed them off again before they started to hammer at Briar themselves. We pushed AR back long enough for EBay to regroup again and come slamming back into them while we held the door from all comers.

It was titanic. There should have been a sound track.

By this time there were about 10 BP peeps total to defend Briar. Ebay was tearing at the front door and Anvil was massing in the cubby. AR had lost a good few by then, so when they charged Ebay that last time, they were outgunned 2-1. It was a hellova thing to see though. They slammed into EBay’s side and shoved them to the bridge before they were wiped to a man. We didn’t see any more Anvil after that.

I’d love to say when the gate finally came down and EBay roared through, the 10 of us still held them off, but the truth is, we were so much roadkill. It was late, we were tired, and PuGs don’t read chat.

tl;dr: Awesome night in EBay bl last night.

The SM battle was incredible, We had thoughts for a sec that we wont take it from Ebay, But once Ebay Bay turned Blue, our morale went up and you pushed harder

Everyone knows how to deal with contesting Keeps, The point is, 1 guy has the power to stop enemy team from spawning, its a Big power and it should be REMOVED

If it should contest only if there’s siege placed, you wouldn’t know if people are PvDooring it and if you’re busy elsewhere you would lose your keep before you even noticed anything which is far worse than having to run an extra half-mile. Contesting waypoints is a valid tactic to delay enemy reinforcements or to distract them.

If you want to Pvd a keep you will need at least 40 people, which causes orange swords, And sure we can do this to our enemy, But i consider it as a bug

This is where I think the Planetside system was more fun: every tower and base could be spawned at in combat and you could additionally deploy mobile spawners. Shutting down the enemy’s spawners was often job 1. Spawners did not stop working just because the base was “in combat”.

This helped both zerg vs zerg and small group combat, since small groups using a mobile spawner could stay in an area longer and keep fighting (until someone found their spawner).

GW2 lets 1 thief shut down the spawner and then you’re running from across the map to rejoin the battle. It ruins small group combat and roamers and really helps make the game zerg vs zerg, since zergs can usually rez downed people very quickly, even if they’re in the process of losing the field.

I’d be real curious to see what this game played like if every tower and keep had a free spawner in it. It lets defense react quicker but it also lets offense spread out more while still being effective.

OP is right. I am a scout most of the time, and as a scout I am constantly thwacking enemy keeps to contest wayoints or force them to send someone to check it out. I enjoy contesting waypoints, but it is silly how 1 person can have that much power in a map.

Whether I’m scouting as a thief or as a ranger, it doesn’t matter how many guards are there, I will contest it no problem. Mesmer and ele also have a fairly easy time contesting keeps.

I think we should have the option to contest keeps with normal attacks, but it should require at least a few people, or when it takes damage from 1 piece of siege.

• Reduce the event to 1 minute, ten second internal timer between events whereby the waypoint is open.
• Dynamically scale the amount of people who travel to that way point based on wall/door status.
  Example:
  Outer being attacked. Ten players allowed to port. Per event timer
  Outer down and inner under attack, 5 allowed to port, per event timer.
  Both down, WP is locked out. Event timer refreshes Instantly.
• Waypoint is contested based on a percentage.. 5% reduction locks out WP. Allows groups who are organised to lock out WP quickly with siege. However, gives upgrading walls and doors a stronger advantage in that it allows players to port in for a longer period of time before being locked.
• Upgrading guards gives archers on walls the ability to scout anything within firing range. It will also show which wall/door is under attack on the map via a glow effect on said wall/door.
• In order to contest via door, the NPC defenders must be killed first. Walls can only be destroyed or contested with sieges.

Contesting anything with a door should be exactly the opposite of what repairing a door is now, What I mean is you MUST do actual damage to the Keep/Tower door of 5 or 10% in order to contest it. This stops the Knock knock Avon calling crap that is going on now contesting everything. Doing any actual damage is worthy of white swords, not some bored thief selling makeup.

I have been in Maguuma and in a sick guild called ( WaR ) We used to Cap all of our enemy BL at night, Please when you move up a tier dont Cry about that, LEARN how to deal with it, because maguuma wont leave you untouched at night teach your commanders how to leave eternal and watch your BL at night, no offence, just giving you an advice

Maguuma doesn’t night-cap jack because they have no nightcrew as far as I know which is why they are in between tiers.

As far as I can tell, no one in BP has planned PvDoor when AR and Ebay are offline. Today is a good example where we had a small group of people in AR taking a tower and before we knew it the group size swelled to quite a large force. None of us knew that AR’s entire BL was empty. We kept knocking on all the towers and keeps but no one answered. What did you want us to do, go home and wait?

Yesterday at 3 AM (NIGHT TIME) a FULL Upgraded AR BL, All of your Keeps and towers got Capped by 20 PK from Ebay with 4 Golems, I went there watching PK Taking all of your keeps while no ONE from AR is defending, not a SINGLE defender, We came at morning and Everything AR had was wood, so Basically easy points for us.

however, good fights here and there, enjoyed wiping/get wiped by PK in eternal, kinda controlled eternal until AR came back to attack us from North and Ebay from south, Also Ebay people you may have noticed all the flame rams and on Valley walls, well here’s the thing, We have a spy ordering useless upgrades for Valley he orderd cannons then mortars before gates, Bulding rams and burning all of Valley & Towers supplies, that’s why when we got attacked nothing was upgraded, whoever did this …. i really dont know what to say, cheap, i expect ebay to win this week by 70k+ lead, BP at 2nd by 5 – 10k lead on AR

Also, on a side note, it’s kind of funny to see that for all the talk Kalkz gives of his super PvDoor skills, BP has spent each and every night on the bottom of the tally charts.

This may be the first time anybody has ever bragged about their superior PvDoor skills.

I was just pointing out something that seemed kind of funny after his repeated posts on this thread threatening golem rushes that would have the ground shaking and the weak of heart running for the hills. As someone who likes to sleep at night rather than spend it bashing pixel gates down, it’s tough to brag about something I’m not part of.

Don’t worry though, you shouldn’t have too look to far to see someone bragging about superior PvDoor skills. I mean, you have the loudest of them all on your own server.

We do love our Kalkz, who does much to bolster the morale @BP. Kalkz operates with a unique mix of ADD and yes, loudness, which comes across to me as a cheerful sort of bravado. He really is fun to run with.

It is my hope that though it is hard (if not impossible) to detect. there is some humor mixed in with all of the barbs tossed his way.

Once we came to this tier from T6 we were Red, And i was afraid of Ebay since the last time we fought they had 100k+ lead without even burning themselves, We aimed at the 1st place because we NEVER aim at the 2nd place, no one expected BP to win with 30k lead on Ebay, even us .. If we’re going to AIM at the 2nd place, you’re going to get in a LOT of troubles, as an example, You just lost half of your borderlands because me and my 20 group at hills, Some AR guilds went at our Bay and we weren’t happy, and that was just me and 20 guys, not even dtc and not even 3+ golems, If you still think im wrong and you will be still aiming at 2nd i shall quote this post at the end of the weekend, Wake up AR

We did that.

GH and FTF did a joint attack to AR borderlands and took their fully upgraded hills and bay at roughly the same time Saturday night. GH went to bay and FTF to hills.

Props to Anvil Rock’s defense on their garrison that night. That was some tight defense on their garrison. Outer and inner were both down but we just couldn’t take that last keep! GH had to go back to defend home so FTF was left at AR bl. That AR angry zerg that took back their whole borderlands did a good job pushing us out.

Last night, we have over 5 guilds coordinate a rush attack at BP bl. We were able to rally at least 75 people to Borlis Pass Borderlands. It went well despite the many commanders lol.

AR and BP keeping close to our score is making our server united….I like where this is going.

Fun fights so far guys! Keep it up!

i underestimated Ebay, however the only guild that gave us a trouble is Sekz (aka the transferred guild from NSP) I have noticed Sekz got Bigger by numbers, a lot bigger, And since you’re owning us and Anvil rock i can tell you “might” be able to match SBI and Maguuma & CD above there UNLESS you yell and not deal with the “pvd” if BP can do this damage to you by “Noob PVD As you say” then CD or Maguuma will totally destroy you, Push us harder and leave this horrible tier

usually when i rage I call my Guild & People to get a huge zerg and crush borderlands, I raged due having some Cool [GH] people camping redvale in BP BL, I gotta say, FTF or FTP or w/e your tag is, nice save @ Your hills and Bay, Lets see if you can be there at night ?

[PK] Way of getting BP Hills :
1- Get to BP BL with 20 PK zerg
2- take some towers while sending few to ninja Hills
3- Get wiped 20 – 30 times
4- Lose everything You took in BP BL
5- Hide in spawn for 15 – 20 Mins and Wait for all BP to feel safe and leave their map
6- Go for hills again, Oh kitty hell we got spotted
7- Hide in Spawn again, repeat for 3 – 4 hours

Come on AR Push DH Harder!, We need you to get united and destroy Ebay and all T4 fail servers – Borlis Rock. aka Anvil Pass

Some interesting fighting tonight, mostly zergs and small-mans running the typical boring D/D eles, thieves, confusion mesmers etc but what can you expect from reset night? AD/NoQQ/BSty played well for most of the night and I hope we could offer you guys some level of challenge when we weren’t zerged down by 40+ people.

Feeling kinda flattered having both Ebay and DR hitting us at the same time non-stop. Tough night of playing with nothing but “zergs” rolling in from both sides. Less fun than last week since there are a lot fewer skirmish matches at least in the Blue area of EB and no three way battles for SM. Hopefully EBay and DR realize they can attack each other at some point.

SoCo swapped maps after an hour or so, which left the 15 people from AD/NoQQ/BSty. If that qualifies as a zerg or getting “hit hard” then I don’t know what. EB has had insane amounts of people tonight, more similar to what we saw the last time we faced them when we would consistently see 650+ potential for them. They will get their fair weathers to come on, and yours will leave.

I seriously hope Kalkz has a huge amount of rams stashed away, or you will have more trouble winning this week.
