Mixed. Like several others have pointed out population balance is a huge problem. People running around wvw for achievments but not participating in the effort is also a problem.

I’d participate in season 2. But I’d rather they fix the problems that have reared up before they launch another season.

Nothing wrong with promoting your product. I don’t begrudge Anet that at all. My problem with the video itself is the video itself. How poorly done it is. Not only is the concept bad but it was poorly executed. I can’t imagine any audience that promo would appeal to.

Sorry Anet, but this video wasn’t funny, wasn’t entertaining, and wasn’t cute. Not in the least. Definitely not representative of the game itself. If you honestly believe espousing the fact that it is free to play is the way cause an exodus from other MMO’s to GW2 you are sadly mistaken.

I hope this was just an in-house thing and you had a bit a fun. Because if you paid an advertising agency for that… meh, I’ve said enough.

There are map-caps. And those map-caps are tied to the servers, not the map as a whole. So server 1 can have x players, server 2 x players and server 3 x players on Map Y.
Server 1 can never fill up the map so that server 2 and 3 can’t get the same amount of players.

This is my understanding as well.
