I was trying to send my wife the crafting materials I had farmed up over that last week, which requires about 20-26 mails to her every week.
This time, every third message I get a message telling me that my message had been supressed due to excessive messaging! There is no other way to send her the materials and I don’t craft. I simply don’t find it fun and she loves crafting. To me it takes away a lot of the fun in game so I was fine with the “crafting” in the orginal game.
I filed several ingame bug reports over this issue. Yes, I understant that it is a great tool to fight gold sellers but you are also punishing players. I know I am not the only one in this boat.
Would ANet either provide another way to send materials to another player or set the number of mails to trigger this at something like 30.
I have had both the pets loud footfalls/flapping/splashing as well as the loud tone (like the video in the first post). I have noticed that some zones have it some zones don’t. I have a Creative Xtrem Gamer X-FI. I have had crashes to desktop, I have had crashs where I can file a crash report but most of the time I just have to turn off my speakers. I have noticed that it happens most frequently in Game Mode. Everyone I know of that uses a creative sound card (or chip) has this issue while no one I know that uses a Realtec sound card has the issue.
My wife uses her on-board Realtek sound card and has never had a single sound issue.
The only fix is to restart the client.

Thank you.
From where I sit, the only reason that Mac OSX is being ported to is market share. There are enough clients out there that ArenaNet can make a profit porting the game. Linux is at a point where it’s market share is what Mac’s market share was seven years ago (less than half of it’s current user base). I am fairly sure that if Linux had a large enough user base it too would be supported.
There have been in the past a few companies (such as HP, Dell and E-Machines) that would ship computers with LInux pre-installed. Sales were so poor and in the case of E-Machines the support complaints were so costly that almost all of them have dropped Linux as a standard offering.

I am totally confused. I have been unable to buy gems from the trading post, I get a “Card approval failed” error message.
I have been told by CS that a CC or Debit Card can only be associated with a total of five NCSoft accounts, mine is associated with three. However the last message says that my card is assocated with five accounts, and I have been attempting to link a sixth account with my Debit Card. I have six Guild Wars accounts but that is not the point, there are only three NCSoft accounts. I asked for the particulars on the other two accounts but have not gotten an answer since 25 September. I don’t get it, every time I turn around I am being told something different. And yes, I do have a pay-pal account, it has been used twice in six years. I don’t trust pay-pal with my money.

Gaile, would you be so kind as to tell me the truth, please.

If you are running xfire (not cross-fire, the in-game chat utility) uninstall it and see what happens. It caused a crash with that error for me.
I was wondering about that, while strolling through the home city for the Charr I would have sworn I heard purring, I tried to locate the source of the sound but was unable to locate it.
Server Crystal Desert
Guild DIBS
Character Slyme Funguy
I used a letter of recommendation obtained from my personal story. The graphic played but I did not gain any guild influence.
My wife had the exact same thing happen.
Guild: Druids of Old (DOO)
Server: Hedge of Denravi
Why is it that Lions Arch has guild issues? Most of my members can not access the guild bank there, but if they go to thier home city they can access just fine.
I have stumbled across a reboot blue screen caused by xfire. Uninstalling xfire fixed the issue. Here are the specifics:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0×00000124 (0×0000000000000000, 0xfffffa8008af2028, 0×00000000b63ac000, 0×0000000000000175). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 090912-16333-01.
I hope this helps someone.
