I was browsing tier 3 cultural armors, and accidently double clicked and purchased something.
It costed me 12 gold, and now I’m 12 gold in the red.
I know it’s my fault for accidently double clicking, but if there’s any way Anet can take the item away (And also the achievement obtained for purchasing it) and return my 12 gold, I would be so relieved, happy, and must appreciated.
12 gold is a large amount of money to me: I bought gems just last night and bought all the bag slots and used the rest to convert to gold, and now with just a slip up, it’s all gone.
Worst of all, there’s nothing I can do with it, except salvage for nothing even close to being worth 12 gold, or resell for 1g.
I know I’m not forced to buy gems, and that I accidently purchased it, and I accept that it was a mistake on my part. But I am kindly asking if somehow, Anet can help me.
Picture attached.
Goodbye home
Good luck this week NSP, we’re cheering for you.
We’ll catch up to Maguuma and meet you on the battlefield once more!
…. (Although honestly, probably not for a long time >_>)
I’m really enjoying this week so far though!
Please post a picture. Now I am super interested.
I saw a Charr wielding electricity and throwing it around, killing mobs.
Looked it up, and it seems like it was a D/D Elementalist in Air attunement.
It looked so graceful. I suppose there’s no hope of being effective while just staying in D/D Air?
I’ve tried out every class in the game, and I have had the most fun with Necromancer.
I love Death Shroud combat, bursting in a group with Life Transfer is a blast, you can output damage while still having plenty of survivability whereas some other classes have to choose one or the other, and I’ve never had a problem fighting Thieves like every other class (Notice the complaint against Thieves everywhere!).
I just find it ranking high on the fun factor, in my opinion. If you don’t like minions or conditions, try power.
That’s great news, cause I’m primarily a WvW player. Now I just need to get some gold… >_>
I tried this build in sPVP, and had a blast. I was very effective, and extremely fun to play too! Now I may start working on getting the exotics, sigils, and jewels for WvW for my PVE char.
Just logged in to say thanks for the guide.
I just took a character from cooking 0 to 400.
Only ran into 2 bumps, otherwise it was a smooth run:
1. You need to add 25 sliced buttered toast to the shopping list. You might have forgotten it.
2. Take out the griffon recipe for 225 and just put in chocolate bar+ orange = orange cake x25. The crafter will need the 25 orange cakes for 275 anyway!
Other than that, perfect. Thank you for making this guide, it was a lot FASTER, EASIER, AND CHEAPER than the previous cooking guide I used for my main. Thank you.
Also to respond to the poster above, this guide wasn’t written for people with crafting boosters. I didn’t use one, and this guide worked perfect. There’s a bit of RNG involved when you’re crafting, I don’t know the math, but on a rare occassion, you will have to craft an extra 1-2 things to hit 25 instead of 24. Simply buy more of the ingredients and craft.
Once again, great job on the guide OP. I’m referring this guide to all of my guildmates!
Perhaps he was confused because he saw organization. I’ve fought alongside with [FINE] on the battlefield, and never saw bots being used to take keeps and territory. [FINE] fights with honor.
I do a lot of PVE and don’t understand how this “punishes PVErs.” I’ve never had to leave my server at all.
My first 80 was a Thief. Did a lot of WvW on him, built up a huge amount of seige. Then I got a Necro to 80 and it became my new 80. Tossed my Thief’s seige into the bank, tried to withdraw it with my Necro only to find out it was soulbound and not account bound and couldn’t help but think “WHAT.”
I don’t see a good reason for having it soulbound instead of account bound.
Nice video! I use almost the same tree, except the 10 points to get Greater Marks and Lich instead of Plague. I might give Plague a try though.
I quite enjoyed 1:52-1:57 as well, nice ending touch haha
I agree with the OP. I play WvW a lot, it’s my endgame, I love playing organized on TeamSpeak with my guild and fighting to get my server to the top, but there are small things that could be implemented that could greatly improve the experience.
The pets are not necessary.
Popular Necro builds like the Condition and Power builds do not use pets, at all.
I use the Greater Marks trait (Makes Staff’s marks a lot bigger) and use the Staff for the 4 AoE’s. Easy to tag lots of mobs this way.
Staff 2’s CD is very short. 3, 4, and 5 take a bit longer. There’s also a trait to make Staff skills recharge 20% faster.
Edit: Disregard this post, it was for another thread >_<
Wow. What terrible guildmates. I endorse justice for this man.
I’m going to be using my 80 Thief as a backup alt for dungeon tokens after I’ve done all 3 paths of a dungeon the same day as my 80 main.
So I think I’d like to have my Thief outfitted with a solid dungeon build, but there’s many out there, and just wanted community feedback on which dungeon builds have worked wonders for them!
I’m with a full party, we all jump into the Mad King instance, but I end up in my own instance, while my 4 teammates can get into the same one. I tried logging out, leaving the instance, and going back in, but I keep ending up in my own instance rather than being in theirs.
Anyone know how to fix this?
/signed, by a level 80 necromancer player
Please make this happen Anet.
^ Topic. I want to be 110% positive that I can reuse it whenever I get a new 80 exotic so that it does not go to waste.
Thanks for the picture Archmagel! I was curious to see how it looks.
Double-bladed. Nice. I think~ I might work towards getting a scythe skin after all. For the hell of it, haha.
So there’s a Scythe Staff halloween skin.
We’re Necromancers! No matter what our Staff looks like, when we use it, it turns into a Scythe.
So, uh, any reason to drop the gold to get the Scythe skin for a Necro? >_>
Is it redundant?

Greetings SaND!
Just a member of [War], here to give your recruitment thread a courtesy bump and wish you luck in your future endeavors! We’re glad to have you with us on NSP. I, and some others of us hope to fight alongside your family out there soon. See you on the battlefield, friends.
Am glad to see a guild taking responsibility for their members and taking action on it.
I agree. I’m not on any of those 3 servers, but I do like to see things like this. A strong sense of community.

Darkhaven superior tactics ftw!
I like the build’s idea. Like everyone else here, I’m unsure of the effectiveness/fun factor but it’s definitely a unique idea!
I might give this a try in the Mists and give ya some feedback.

Alright, so I run a D/D and Staff Necromancer with emphasis on Death Shroud. I’m at work and not home so I can’t check my exact build at this very moment, but I usually have tons of Life Force. I just love switching between DS and going back to regular form in firefights, and I run Spectral Armor, Spectral Walk, and that Signet that gives life force in combat but can be used to raise downed allies.
So in the fun factor department, I found the build and playstyle to be extremely fun and satisfying.
I’ve never given a Condition build a chance, I have no doubts of whether or not it’s effective since from what I’ve read, it’s apparently a very good way to play the Necro. However, I’m just curious about how it is in regards in the fun factor department. Of course I want to be effective, but I also want a similar thrill on par with DS power necros.
So this question pretty much goes out to the Necromancer players that have tried both condition and a death shroud power build.

Nice assault on Etheron Hills in our borderlands just now, DH! It was a pretty fun battle
Is this a bug? I have all Mad Memories, except V. I’m talking to lady Lyrica in Blackroot Cut but she won’t give me Mad Memories V. It’s the only one I’m missing, I have all the others.
Anyone else having the same problem?
What Skapocalypse posted was exactly what [GOON] was doing. You don’t see the zerg of 20+ players because it doesn’t render. Until right after you’re dead.
Thanks for responding! Why Precision though?
Score update?
I’m stuck at work and I MUST KNOW! haha
I have a level 80 Human Thief, and level 71 Sylvari Necromancer.
Initially, I wasn’t interested in playing a Charr. I didn’t see very many of them around except in Lion’s Arch and WvW. The more I saw them, the more I began to like them.
I love the way they run. I always love seeing them because of that, I just find it adorable for some reason. I know they’re fearsome and all, but I love seeing them run on all 4’s.
Then in Lion’s Arch, I saw a few Charrs spamming /surprised. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. And lastly, a female human was sitting, and then a Charr player goes right next to her and uses /sleep (I think it was), and the Charr curled up in a ball perfectly over her. I think this is what finally broke me into wanting to play Charr.
Finally, Tybalt. Enough said.
Unfortunately, I want to use Heavy Armor so I have to choose between Warrior/Guardian… Oh well, I digress! I cannot wait to get home from work so I can create my Charr. (Uhh.. p.s.: warrior or guardian? >__>)
Kildari, I just tried out your build and I absolutely loved it. It reawakened my love for the Necro, which was slowing withering away (It’s a level 71 Necro, I am steadily climbing to 80!).
I have a question. What stats, what kind of gear should I get at 80? Vitality, toughness, power, healing, what?
I’d say give it some more tries. Like someone before said, you’ll eventually get comfortable with the map, and the 3 borderlands are for the most part, the same, except for Eternal Battlegrounds.
If you’re not with a guild that is active in WvW, join one (Some will want you to use teamspeak/vent/etc but talking is not a requirement, at least listen!) and start playing organized. You’ll have more success this way. If that’s not an option, look for Commanders and follow their lead.
Learn about Supply. You might want to pick up some Seige at the Seige NPC vendor. Blueprints only cost 6silver or 12silver (Trebuchets and Golems are more expensive, I’d ignore those for the time being). Seige is absolutely vital. You can have a large “zerg”, but without Supply or Seige, your assault on an enemy Tower is doomed to fail. Sometimes, all it takes is 1 well-placed arrow cart seige weapon to fend off attackers from your fortress.
There’s so much strategy potential, and you won’t experience it unless you’re working with a large force (Or hell, even a small band of supply camp hitters) that know what they’re doing.
OP, are you positive that you’re not confusing the Ranger arrow AoE with Arrow Cart AoE? Like a previous poster said, there’s a long cooldown on the Ranger skill and it’s not even as deadly as the Arrow Cart, which can be used consistently.
I am curious, why does NSP when they have nothing at all usually in EhmBay’s battleground always take one supply camp, and constantly attack it. They die they lose they run back again and again and again, yet constantly dying. Not complaining I am just curious.
Hey there,
Member of [War] from NSP here. Our guild’s been jumping into EB Borderlands, I think because it is neglected. In my experience there in the evenings/nights (EST), we always have the outmanned buff, and I don’t remember seeing any VIP, Os, etc activity there.
Last night however, we had a very strong push with support of [HERO], [TFO], and others. [FINE] has been particularly helpful in that borderlands with us at around those times, but in that borderlands, we seem outnumbered at those times. It seems pugs seem to avoid that BL too.
I also want to give a shot out to [RE] from DH I think it was. They gave us a run for our money if memory serves correct!
Thief was the first class I played, and the only class I’ve taken to 80.
The journey was long and fun, I used Death Blossom a majority of the way to dispatch groups of enemies and I don’t know, I guess it wasn’t really the most effective choice, but I had fun with it.
Then I hit 80, picked up a Dungeon Chestpiece so that I could LOOK like a level 80 instead of level 10 (Sorry, I’m also disappointed with the Medium Armor styles >_>), then jumped into my Endgame, World vs. World, with a very dedicated WvW guild.
Soon, I found that my D/D Death Blossom was a not popular Thief strategy for WvW, and I branched out and tried many builds and weapon combinations. I tried the “glass cannon” D/D backstab thing, tried P/D but didn’t feel like I was contributing much, and I bit the bullet and tried S/P but I just didn’t find it very fun at all.
I often feel like I took another class to 80, and I tried with Necromancer and Guardian as you can see in the picture, but I always return to my Thief. I think it’s because I’ve been spoiled by the passive 25% movespeed sigil, and also since it was 80, and that I invested a LOT of time into it, so I might as well make the best of it.
Has anyone else been a similar situation? How did you make playing Thief fun to you again? I’d like to hear something cause I’m not sure if I should continue to commit time to my Thief or just bite the bullet and invest an enormous amount of hours on a new character.
