Curious is there any chance we could get some love for WvW? Its pretty sad that the first major content update has absolutely nothing for WvW.

For a matter of fact the only thing you have done since release is a dirty fix for orbs. Is that really all that we can expect? Population is already in a steep decline. Totally ignoring the whole player base which purchased this game for WvW is a low blow.

Yea all the loyal players who played GW1 bought this game only for WvWvW too right? Calm down it’s been two months, they have more planned than just fixing everything people cry about just to cry about. This isn’t like Panda Express where continual tears gets everything kittened to the point of laughable status. Stop making assumptions you know the entire player base because you really don’t. Make a suggestion to as what you want fixed instead of making sad generalizations based upon no solid facts.

Great fight with Kain at EB at Durios earlier tonight. When we got to your other tower it was a gonner…well, right up until someone on DR felt the need to drag the darned Grub into the fight. At that point i just felt the need to let the momentum fade. lol

Other than the bad bad grub..was great fights.

There was some great three way action last night in EB! I know many Kains and Fergs alike got to feel the warmth of some manly Norn chest hair. Battles are so much more fun with limited armor on. Props to Lilj from SoCo for many great counters and retakes of towers.
I love that Grub, a few nights ago Sir Morningstar warned no one to touch it.
“Okay no one touch the grub all on me”
“Imma touch that grub” ( a random)
“Okay who touched the grub?” (grub begins to eat half the zerg)
Many many lines of mostly kitten words afterwards and the zerg has to regroup in SM.
Win or lose it’s those moments that make this game so enjoyable

@Zizanzi.4678- Assuming it’s a 6 to 1 Kills to badges drop rate that comes out to roughly 800 kills in a three hour span. HOW DO YOU AFFORD ALL THOSE RAMS? God lord that has to be fun.

It’s just sad to see our once reasonably competitive tier threatened by something as dumb as thoughtless server transfers. It’s something I’ve had to deal with far too many times over the years.

Especially since between the tiny AoE cap, the rendering issue, no bodyguard/guard system, no dedicated healing classes, and how quickly you can rez someone with 4+ people zergs are hugely overbalanced vs smaller groups.

AoE is fine; rendering is a big issue but will ultimately get fixed; not really understanding what you mean by no bodyguard/guard system; dedicated healing classes are for kittens and that other game which shall not be named; (assuming you meant 40+ zergs) 2-3 well placed sieges can wipe a zerg (happened last night in EB to Kain AND to DR). My team of 4 flanked the Kain zerg in EB and we were able to eliminate 3 catas 1 flame cart and 3-4 ballistas before the zerg could locate us. It’s fun to roll both in the zerg at times and as a small coordinated hit team. You have to realize there are ALOT of people in WvWvW not fully leveled or geared. They have to zerg or man siege, both tactics yield exp, karma, loot badges etc. This game is what you make it to be for yourself. If total score matters for you then by all means transfer to a stacked server and wait in the ques. Just ask NoQQ about a small man group versus a ball of kittens and low level players. I’d like to know the # of badges they collect on any given night. Please don’t take this as a personal attack as it’s not meant to be just merely stating it boils down to finding your own fun in WvWvW. I wasn’t having fun in CD because of the ques hence why I transferred. I think alot of people came into this game without ever playing GW1 and expected this to be a clone of another game we all know very well…..it isn’t and I hope it never will be

Rangers….lol free badges. Are you geared? Are you level 80? If not a full exotic level 80 thief will take your lunch, eat it in front of you, punch you in the face and then tell the teacher it was your fault. If you are a full 80 and geared he prolly won’t tell the teacher

FYI to DR and FC – We (Kaineng) have a botting issue just East of our spawn on the DR map. 6 bots killing the sharks over and over again. I have whispered a few of your guys to go gettum but this post might be more effective. Please kill them repeatedly as I cannot.

Besides, I am too occupied killing the DR bots up north near the spiders (on DR Borderlands map) and the Ferg bots in the lake (on the Ferg Borderlands map) even if I DID have the ability to kill toons on my own server.

As an aside – please report the accounts just prior to farming them for badges. I know that it feels a LOT like relieving yourself into a strong headwind but I still hold out hope that someone at Anet will eventually address this issue.

Hey, we actually were farming them for a while, but then SoS showed up with a couple speed-hacking thieves. Luckily the hacks went away after I posted

I think our group ran into one or two of these thieves on EB last night. Although the thieves we saw weren’t guilded. Provided for some good laughs and mindless chasing. We definitely got our exercise in. Can’t wait till the rendering issue is fixed.

@Zizanzi.4678- I was there last night and was laughing my kitten off at you guys. Very well coordinated and very well in control of any engagement you encountered. I was like did this motherkitten just drop a flame ram on me? OH HE DID! At first I was thinking this is just some sort of feint and there was going to be a larger scale attack on the other side of the map, but after I robbed you of yet another 18s I realized I would no longer contribute to the flame ram embarassment. We did have the numbers to take you on I could just never get anyone to attack in any kind of force. (no one listens when you don’t have a commander tag). The worst was when we had the numbers but half stay at camp to attack the Lord (with 3 mins mind you left on the invuln buff) while the other half melted into you guys. I can only assume you were calling targets cause I went down faster than a HS cheerleader at prom at least twice. I did get 1-2 of you into the “downed” state but never got the finisher. Kudos, I got a good amount of chuckles last night watching ram after ram litter the battlefield.

Fun fights on Kain side have been with a few Thieves from [LARP] and on Ferg side have been against [MOON]. It always seems they are a very hard kill solo’d or with numbers.

@Spacelord I’d definitely be interested as it would be nice to have a little more organized runs in WvWvW. What are the odds I get to rock the Beaver emblem every now and then? Can’t go too long without my Beaver.

Sadly ODN has only 1 player in it atm on Devona’s and he’s horrible. Still trying to convince 4-5 others to leave CD and come carry him.

Please nerf Green with the rendering issues and the ability to go stealth and be a glass cannon it’s just too much for me. Also Green likes to pull bush league immature tactics like dancing on me after Green has zerged me down in 10v1 situations. Green is not the kind of player I want in my WvWvW.

Sorry to hear that Tiglie, you know it took someone to report you for that ban to come down. Guess Kain has some pretty serial map chat haters. I’m assuming it was in WvWvW……gotta keep those communication lines free and clear. Hugs to the Fergs who danced on me last night….. I would have danced too after that horrible Golem attempt we made on SM.

I am also noticing the Superior Sigil of Accuracy is not building stacks after kills underwater either. Developers is this a bug or working as intended?

Crazy but I for one am glad they are addressing the issue and haven’t ruled out bringing them back. They (orbs) for the most part of the past two weeks have been the largest cause of angst between servers and have lead to some pretty nasty accusations. Either way the orbs to me were always a nice goal to have but not a deterrence to enter into WvWvW when an opposing world had more than mine. If it brings more people to the battlefield then it is worth it.

Great move Anet I applaud the recognition that a fix needs to be made and understand that you will be working to potentially bring them back in future builds. I also want to give many harrumphs to all the players still COMPLAINING. The game has been out for two months and they are working on improving the game as shown here. To say there are no more goals in WvWvW is hilarious and to state this removal of orbs is the death of WvWvW is redunkulous. Mother of pearl please Anet add a Beaver into WvWvW that just runs around one shotting people so they actually have a legitimate gripe about something. I DIDN’T GET A HARRUMPH OUTTA THAT GUY…….

Granted I don’t use the sigil and can’t precisely say whether the blast registers as immolate on damage logs but there’s a strong chance his weapon sigil choices could have produced that affect.
Could have always been using armor runes to produce the fire damage as well

Maxxian.3980 – Anet has always had different items/costumes/hats for each Holiday event in GW1. They are simply following tradition. Every year you had a chance at getting those items (minus the costumes still could buy those through the store). The only difference I see now is that you have a chance at those items through other means (ie Gems-Keys-Opening BLC’s). To everyone that is an uproar, patience, the event still is playing out. If this event holds true to past GW1 events there will be a chance at the end of the event to turn in everything you’ve collected (that you don’t want) into a chance to obtain something that you do want. The only thing that was guaranteed was the Hat and that was only obtained by doing the final event. Also who wants a “rare” skin everyone else has?

Opening BLC’s were/are a risk. I’m trying to grasp whether people are mad they took a risk and lost? Or that they didn’t realize it was a risk and feel screwed? I’ve done a lot of things in my life where I knew it was a risk and I never knew the percentage of possible success. When I failed guess who was solely to blame? It’s always the easier route to place the blame onto someone or something else, take the higher road people!

As a transplant from Crystal Desert the teamwork and WvWvW as whole has been the most fun for me since launch here on Devona’s. Both Ferg’s and Kaineng’s player base are fun fights. Nothing but respect for all three servers! Can’t wait for tonight’s reset and be sure to keep an eye out for me on the battlefield, I’ll be the pantless thief.

Nothing has changed from GW1 people, sorry you weren’t there for any of those holiday launches. Calm down it is just a game, there will be more than just one day of the event. I promise. If your life is ruined and your day wasted, chalk it up to a life lesson and smile knowing you’ve become a little wiser.
