I’m the impatient type! I mind explaining things! In fact I’m a very mean and malicious person who is not helpful or friendly at all. Just ask people who have run dungeons with me. They will tell you how I yelled at them and called them forest grubs.
Lol Glitch. When G and Kit tease me I always give serious answers like that and they giggle at me for taking it seriously.

giggles profusely Yeah right. One of those things I love about Kaii is that we can tease him like mad, and he takes us seriously. Although, he is beginning to catch on, and that is almost SAD. We have had some great giggles with Kaii.

Had some fun convos last night. Really enjoyed it. Dragging one of our guildies to jumping puzzles… always fun. But he got upset at the end of some story, stripped naked and jumped off a balcony. Logged dead. It was priceless.

I have to say, when I started this game, I was HORRIBLE at jumping and personally, I find speed boosts more difficult, and absolutely HATE it when someone puts them on me. My bf uses the w key to move, where as I use the two mouse buttons. He says it is harder my way. How do you move? Have you tried the other way? He says you have more control with the wasd buttons… but I am used to using the mouse.

As to your question, no, I don’t think you need to be up to date on your story to run dungeons. Others can feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

@Kit – I LOVE JUMPIN PUZZLESSS! i used to suck at jumpin gin this game on my giant Norn and then i practiced a lot (i’ll still make the mor ethan occasionally stupid mis jumps though lol) did you do the new one at Southsun Cove yet? and the Clock tower?? there are a bunch i’ve yet to complete as well all a round Tyria.

I hated hated hated JP the first day. They have made me cry… yes really. I love this game, but am such a noob. In general, JP were the bane of my existence. G loves them and I follow him. DID them cos I am a stubborn kitten THEN the clock tower came. bows head I would not give up. I heard that only 5% were forecast to make this puzzle. I jumped my freaken fingers off… and more than 12 hours later (yes I was one of THOSE) I finally made it (on my human ranger) then did it again on my Asurian Engineer. TRIED again on my Charr… and failed badly. G stayed with me… jumped it over 100 times. But I did it. The ones on Southsun were also done. Really nothing compares to the Tower. The one might as well have been a vista for all that it wasn’t a challenge. Stepping stones… and anything with a time limit… does stress me. But I don’t like giving up. I get them eventually. Kudos for G and his patience. He encourages me through them all.
Zeus… Welcome!!! And Isle of Janthir presses hand to her forehead dramatically GOOD to know there are more of us there. I do think we will have to look you up. G (nottsgman) and I are there and we detour for plants, trees, ore, butterflies and random baddies. Oh look a cave (one of his weaknesses) OH SHINEY!!! Love jumping puzzles (did i say that?) and hanging out with fun people. I know G will shoot you an invite when get gets on tomorrow, you haven’t gotten it by then.
Gilosean, what level are you at. G and I are working towards map completion and getting our mains to level 80. Still a long ways to go. We have rangers at level 78 but currently have no interest in getting them to 80. Has a lot to do with the voice acting turning us off the story. We started again with asura, which we are enjoying far more. Helping in the low level areas is something I can see us both doing. We have helped several lowbies… and had so much fun with it.
OH Lexy. You made my tummy hurt laughing. You describe what happens DAILY to me n G… cept I don’t laugh cos usually I am so insulted that they RUSH by me in such a panic to get to G. I chase after them… trying to get their attention… Trying to convince them that really I am worth at least a hit or two. Usually, at the end of a fight… I have full hit points and poor G has been mauled. I try and pick them off, while he heroically fights them all, dodging and running constantly.
I would like to see what happens when we put him and Bri together….

Ok. gonna put in my two cents. I enjoyed it. I spent more time resing people than anything else… it is what I am good for. Spent a lot of time down, and picked up by Nottsgman and Paul A LOT. Had a lot of giggles and wasn’t overly bothered by the lag, except in chat. Wish we could have had Lexy and Bri join us… but we still enjoyed their company. Loved seeing so many people coming out and playing
May I say… Thank you for this post. I have found… many many times, from both sides of the table… that anger and swearing and name calling get you no where. Personally, in my job, people who yell at me and call me names just get booted out the door. I don’t want to help them. I have no desire whatsoever at all to make their life easier. Now, if someone comes to me with a legit concern, not abusive to myself personally, I am more likely to want to help them.
I am not a developer. I tend to break tech more than anything else. I couldn’t hope to tell what is a quick fix and what isn’t. Do I want to see things better? YOU BET. But unless I knew how they did what they do, I can’t complain much. I appreciate this game and am enjoying it. I will continue enjoying it more when they fix all the things that need to be fixed. Til then, I can appreciate all the hard work that HAS gone into this game.
Ok. Just wondering if others have noticed this. Nottsgman and I almost always run together. It doesn’t matter WHAT I do… everything attacks HIM. If I shoot them first, they go after him. If I get their attention… they go after HIM. It is like he is a champ and I am…. well… as he puts it… a flicky thing. If my turrets draw agro, it goes to him. It doesn’t matter which professions or characters we are on. It is rare that I am attacked unless he manages (rarely) to go down. THEN the stupid things will acknowledge my pitiful existance. I feel like chopped liver. It is to the point I am specking for healing so that at least I can help him. I throw healing elixers and chase the kitten things down to try and kill them… and they RUN from me!!!! (I tried to tell him it is cos he is so kitten hot, but he won’t go for that)

I would really love an invite to the guild. My bf is in it, as well as another guild with me, but the other guild is not the most social, and we are very social people. Read this thread, and seems there are some wonderful helpful people here and I certainly wouldn’t mind belonging.
I played wow, and yes they were called Toons. I don’t know why. It isn’t British. points up that guy HATES when they are called toons. I am TRYING to stop. Hard to do though. Not sure the origins of it though.
White/yellow names have always shown up if you have “Show all enemy names” enabled.While they’re hostile, you can attack them and your skills will affect them.
I am not trying to argue with you, but yesterday, there was only red tags showing with that option turned on. When you get close to white and yellow things, the names show up, but not from a distance. I am very certain of this as that is the ONLY thing I have on. I find the tags to be confusing and distracting, but like having the enemy ones on to show me who is likely to attack me. Today, I can see every firefly tag, every rat tag that is on the screen. A tropical bird flew across the screen with his name above him. It wasn’t like this yesterday.
