lol I think our wire crossed there. I don’t hate my life. I love my life. I used to love my job but things changed and I am not enjoying my job, so instead of staying where I am unhappy, I am going to make a change. I don’t take my frustrations out on the game, or anyone in the game, I love to help people in the game, will stop for every tree and ore as I wander around maps. I stop to stare at the beauty of the game, and will do a jp over and over for the joy of doing it. i love to help new comers to the game, have often sent help to random people, never expecting return. I don’t grind the game, I enjoy it, and the company of my guild and any random stranger who will play with me. I have troubles walking by an NPC who is dead, and if I see the icon of a downed player, I will detour to help them, though usually they wp out before I can get there. My bf and I spent two hours in the Crypt during the halloween event, rezing people because it was a difficult part and we wanted to make it just a little easier for those who weren’t as high level as us. Some people were grateful, but most people just ran off without even a “ty” Did we do it for some reward? NO. We did it cos it was fun, and helpful. I am sorry if I came across as one of those end gamers who will grind the living kitten out of the game. Certainly wasn’t my intent. And if I ever became one of them, not helping new or random people, I would hope my computer would start to hate me and blow up. For me, this isn’t about the best gear or who has the best dungeon run, but about community and helping others, having fun and making friends.

I giggled. There is a lot of complaining about a game which is still in it’s infancy. There will be bugs. There will the creases that need to be ironed out. But they have done a great job so far imho, despite this. I love this game.

I work to live… I don’t live to work. I don’t like my job, and will be changing, but when I love something I throw myself totally into it.

Supposedly they give you better stuff if you use the more expensive ones. I haven’t played with them a lot, i use the mid level ones, but would use the bestest ones if breaking down a yellow or orange to get the runes and stuff off them.

HA. I was glad to see YOU there. Love to see the Union being awesome all over the place. I hope he does join us. Hope he reads this too and sees that there are people who will accept him.

laughs long and hard I wish all adults were that wonderful. Sadly, some never grow up. If you read longer around here, you will see that many are still gimme gimme gimme. We SHOULD have the knowledge…. alas.

You got a good head on your shoulders Dr. Usually, when you get the good heart, all you will see is hot anyways. (See I am especially blessed… G is both smoking hot AND the biggest sweetheart ever)

Haha. I am an engineer and I “specialize” in being a side kick. I spec to heal and remove conditions, as well as do condition damage to the enemy. Most of this is done with my elixir gun. So healing can be done in many ways.

As to leveling… HAVE FUN! Rez everyone you see down, you get xp. Do every heart and get every vista. Work in a group, you get extra xp.

And do JP just cos they are awesome. lol

I would agree. Although there are many who whine and kitten and moan, there are some awesome people here… And I am proud to know some of the best.

I can’t speak for all end gamers. I have a level 80 glows with pride and a 78 (who will be killed soon) and some little ones. I haven’t been to the high level maps. I have hung out at the low ones getting map completion and stuff… hanging out and having fun. Do the jp over and over with my bf.
Some adults I have met are the most childish people in the world… and some youth are the most mature. Just find the right people for you. If you are looking for people who are fun to be with, check out the Union (link in signature)

Hi. My name is Kit. smiles I was a social outcast in school…. in fact it made me QUIT school before I graduated. Moved to a town 12 hours away and finished school but it didn’t change that I was an outcast. I had been told I was a loser so many times, that I believed it. I was told other things as well, which scarred me badly, adding to my lack of self confidence.

Something important to remember… Life doesn’t end with High School. I think it begins when you graduate. You aren’t surrounded by the same people anymore.

I don’t have much to add, just thought I would say though… you seem to have found a couple friends here. Glitch is a great one… I would know. He is also my friend and I value him dearly. No. But I have to tell you, some of the best people in my life I met online. smiles Met my other half online.

Elowin, sometimes Dungeons just bug out. Isn’t always inexperience. We could not get the NPC to engage last night. She just wouldn’t. shrugs happens.

Had a borked TA run tonight with G, Monty and Kaii. (and someone else) We got to Faloin (or whatever) and she would NOT play with us. So we started bursting the spider eggs. Killed them one by one. Then Kaii got this GREAT idea of busting them ALL. And…. they killed us… and THEN the stupid npc boss wanted to fight. GAHH. But there were a billion spiders and new eggs. It was not possible. BUT it was funny. (pic to follow of monty being swarmed)

Met another husband/wife team tonight, and dragged them around to the four jp in Caladon. It was funny to watch them…. acting and behaving like G and I. I loved it.

sigh Yeah. Rub it in G. You know, you have the ability to screenie too. THAT was me, being nice to my pet owl. nods I am sure I will never live it down. Alas.

We had a great time last night in HotW. I am still trying to figure out if dungeons are getting easier or if I am getting better. I think the first, although, the way G has me spec’ed, I am doing better. Helequin, (I think it was you, that he gave advice on Engineer spec) Give his spec a try. It is great for healing/sidekick ability. I am getting great delight in being a help removing conditions and healing in dungeons. I feel like I am actually helping now, rather than just extra baggage being dragged around. Still a cream puff… I will likely always be that… but a helpful creampuff now.

Oh, I am thrilled to say I am officially on vacation now. No work for two weeks. WOOT ME!!!!

Kityni is SO very excited. Her older twin sister, Kitanyi, who has been secluded in her secret lab working on her life’s work, has returned to Metrica! Kitanyi has been away for so many years now, and the absence has been very hard on sweet, gentle Kityni.
Unlike her girly twin, Kytanyi is bold and courageous and not afraid to go after what she wants. And since getting back to Metrica, it seems she has taken a fancy to a certain set of very appealing EARS! Unfortunately for Kityni, those ears belong to Gadgetts. Kitanyi would certainly not see it as STEALING Gadgetts from her sister… rather, she would thank her sister for finding such a wonderful gift for her homecoming and appreciate the gift very much.
WHAT should Gadgetts do? Should he stay with the sweet gentle but very much a creampuff Kityni, who has been his constant companion through many adventures (who he also has to rez frequently)? Or should he move on to the bold, courageous, exciting Kitanyi, who could make life… a lot more interesting? OR will another attractive set of ears catch Kitanyi’s eyes altogether? Add to all this, the girls have a younger sister, Kitaake, a known thief. What will happen if SHE also decides that Gadgetts’ ears are the ears of her dreams. Stay tuned……

Sorry Bornthisway, I disagree with you. I think FGreenOak is very right. You know, there is nothing wrong with him encouraging people to help one another and have fun doing it. In fact, I agree with him totally. I have met some wonderful people and made great friends by helping those around me. I have seen some struggling Tyrian made more confident simply by encouraging them. And my BF and I spent over and hour rezing people during the halloween Event in the crypt, making it just a tad easier for those who wanted to do the events but were lower level or not as skilled. It was awesome. I don’t see the point in name calling or flaming or a lot of the negative things that happen both in game and on this forum.

SO, for those of you who read this… Happy Winter’s Day. I am going to be doing exactly as FGreenOak suggests… and would encourage everyone to give it a try. It can’t HURT, can it?

Just a teaser… there is gonna be some interesting drama building in Tyria (details tomorrow and not the bad kind of drama) Just wait friends…

Had two successful runs through AC last night. Enjoyed it, but you know, i am reminded a couple things….
a) i do this for fun, and when people come in and DON"T do it for fun, and get… irritated cos we want to kill EVERYTHING and are inexperienced…. it takes some fun away (sorry to those who do wanna do things fast. it is NOT my style)
b) Kit is a creampuff. I didn’t die as much… but I can’t run through a huge group by myself. I am getting better, but I am not GREAT. I doubt I ever will be. Ps I didn’t JUST learn Kit is a creampuff, but it is reinforced with every dungeon run.
c) we made a new friend… and learned some stuff about Eygpt. You know, i love this guild and I love this game. I am meeting people from ALL walks of life, of all ages (and age means NOTHING to me, i like PEOPLE no matter age) and it is great.

@ Glitch…we are almost to 100 people in the guild. How many before you have to get us more room? CAN you believe the growth?

There’s this one long-legger who keeps calling us midgets. With that tiny head of his, I don’t think he understands the importance of allocating one’s energy budget appropriately. Having an elongated body with minimal insulation draws a lot of energy that might otherwise be used to fuel a large and powerful brain. Of course, they can’t comprehend what a superficial and replaceable advantage it is to have a greater stature.

My Bf and I, while not really disliking any specific race, make some of the greatest comments about other races. Only to each other, cos really we don’t want to hurt anyone, or to guildies and friends who will understand we are joking. Mainly it is at NORN omg you are huge. Get your butt out of my face Char or plant people, who are just… erm… salad fodder move on you compost pile For us, it is fun. We really fit in as Asura, it is who we are. But it is just in fun.

Clock tower is awesome. My BF and I are seriously hoping it will come back next year. We miss it

Gryphon’s Roost Drives us mad. We can get to the end, but not with that bomb. I wanna nuke it personally. Will keep trying though.
