Because there was a reason it happened. Someone may have found an exploit and changed it, so thats a pretty huge ordeal finding a fix to an exploit. Or maybe just a huge flux of buys/sells from one side of the exchange that they didnt expect, then they have to have a meeting with all relevant people to decide how it should be fixed, and then get the programmers to fix it, then test it before making it live again to us.
It’s not just as simple as entering xgems = ygold and commit that change to the live environment
I don’t need it to be simple or complicated. Well I guess I don’t NEED anything, but what I want… and others want is some sort of status update. If there was an exploit. Then tell us. If there is a bug then tell us. An update is an update regardless of how complicated it is.
