Ok guys, Go to your Borderland, or anyones. Hit “M” for the map. Then spam click a waypoint in the BG you want. Eventually someone will leave and you will get the spot.

First off your build is bad and you need to change it . As of this moment the ranger still has the worst attack coefficients that turn power into weapon damage . The marksmanship trait line is also the worst line .

There are two ways to effectively play the ranger at the moment, and both ways maximize the only comparitive advantage the class has , inbuilt versatility of the pet .

I would suggest going the trapper , shaman, catsassin or beastmaster bunker route . There are builds out there, but if you need help with any of those, feel free to PM me .

The Catsassin build looks really interesting. My concern is I generally run with a zerg. So I am not sure how much use it will get. Zergs are so darn chaotic, while these builds require so much micro management that it seems to me most people would be dead before I could really do much. But I guess there is no real way to know till I try it. There is that old saying. Don’t knock it till you try it… or something like that.

Ok, I have been playing a ton of WvWvW. I tried to go precision/crit damage type build and found myself getting killed before I really knew what was happening. At this point I am a mix of Crit Damage/Precision/Toughness/Vitality. Not sure if its right but I am living long enough to get some shots off.

Traits are
30: III, VIII, XI
25: II, X
15: IV

Again not sure how right those are but yea. I have looked at a few WvW builds to be honest and my traits do not seem very different from those.

Now pets I am clueless as to which ones to use. ATM I am running around with a Cat(Dies fast) and my Wolf for the heal.

Skills atm and usually are:
Healing Spring
Signet of Hunt
Signet of Stone
Quickening Zephyr
Rampage as One/Entangle

Weapons ATM:
Short Bow – Feels a little underwhelming in certain situations
Long Bow – Generally use this during Sieges or zerg fests for the AoE.

I have been hearing a few rangers saying I should be using a GS but not one has said why so I have not even looked at one yet. If anyone can elaborate on if GS is better than bow please do let me know. Ok thats all my info… I think. If I missed something that you need to help me thank you. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

To the guy trying to get his legendary, pm Mayoken, Ethersin, Prince Jarvan, or maybe any of the WM commanders you see. Thursday night before reset, if not close enough battle, I’m sure they’d be happy to be good sports about it. They can talk it out with eachother, until then, I’m sure people will fight tooth and nail to keep the waypoint. Maybe southgates just to avoid the mishap with the wall. Talk to the commanders ahead of time, they are all cool guys about it, and I’m sure be happy to coordinate.

Hell, it would be even best if you left it green and got your vista, left the waypoint in tact. Not sure if its too much coordination or if that works, just tossing out the suggestion. The GL’s are best to contact if you want to explore the option (or any alternative to brute force)

This would be cool if you could do this for em. I would suggest coordinating getting a wall down fast and just letting him in really quick then put the wall up before some pugs try to be jerks

That fight at SM earned me 2 yellows. And a charged core… players drop charged cores???

Man Kain, you guys HATE losing SM dont you lol. I had 58 bag slots open when we went to SM… I now have 4. We held it for 3 ticks under constant pressure. So proud of the TCers there. And a heads up to Kain you guys dont quit man

Looked for 10 minutes and could not find anything official on this. But is there a rule somewhere in place for people who say transfer to an opposing teams server then place siege over all the NPC’s and continue to place siege till you become siege capped. Its rather annoying and in a lot of ways unfair.

FA, You guys in EB, you are pushed back to your final Keep. And all I can say is kitten My hat is off to you. You are pushing both us AND KN back. Mind you we took some shots and KN but kitten you guys are giving more than recieving there.

I was particularly amused by your server’s creative use of ghost tonics to do a zerg drop from your citadel onto Garrison. That was kind of amusing and scary at the same time. But mostly scary as 30+ people got wiped in 5 seconds. So kudos to you on that.

man not even kidding TC and FA are ganging up on Kaineng on EBG. Both TC and FA are ONLY attacking Kaineng. This is just plain dirty. Bring it on we won’t give up we will keep defending EBG from both these servers RISE and CO wont give up on ya.

Really great fights CO and Rise, can’t believe you won’t let go of that last keep lol. FA came at us a few times but we have two guilds Flux and TTC holding that side of the map. You saw the siege we had there when you tried to rush Pang

Really great communication tonight in EB from all TC guilds. Special thanks to Nightlight and Kendrick for not just being great commanders but great people as well.

Lol, i found it borderline embarrassing. TC and FA took turns over 1-2hrs trying to cap the keep. At no point did you guys engage each other and neither came close to capping it as well. Hell, i doubt TC would’ve made it into the outer courtyard by themselves if it wasn’t for FA golem rush breaking down the outer gate.

Nothing personal really, you think you did well and i managed to pickup a tonne load of badges from FA and TC. Overall great fun and props to RISE and CO (impossible to put in any order), for organizing the defenses.

Btw my opinions are my own and have nothing to do with the server.

I cant speak for everyone but I am running around with Nightshade. We have been attacked and attacked countless FA. Hell inside your keep fighting you guys I got bum rushed by FA. And I was wondering who took down the walls. I new it wasn’t us lol.

actually they should be updated a different times. When ever the respective down times are, is when the update should occur. Now there are things as emergency maintenance, which I understand. But you gotta admit, these random updates are really annoying.

And with no warning… least that I saw.

rather than set matches every week dictated by the ranking chart, will it be possible to have randomly picked 3 servers just go against each other every week and just keep their ratings instead… it might be fun or more interesting that way, because right now we are stuck with the same opponents for the 3rd week and it’s not the same as looking forward to playing with them the first week… just a random thought, thanks

That would be a no. I understand where your coming from on that one. But other than the 2 servers your facing. There are maybe 3 other servers that stand a chance against you. Would be unfair to pretty much EVERYONE else lol.

Well the way I figure it there are 3 ways. Which way do you think is best.

1. Find a Karma farm and get into a group. Plinx is good for this. There are however others.
2. Farm, literally. Go find every herb, tree and mining node. And kill everything in your way or ignore… which ever floats your boat.
3. Play the TP. Not sure how it works but it is obviously happening.

Generally I do Plinx till I hit DR then off to farm a bit. I would play the TP too if I understood it at all.

I was wondering if we will be seeing either one of these in the near or not to distant future.

It was mentioned with the jumping puzzle. I was wondering if they are nerfed. I generally try to do the puzzles daily. Get 7 to 10 badges from the chest at level 80. I missed the last few days but the most I got today was 4 from the chests. Thats 4 puzzles on 2 toons both 80. So 8 chests.

I am actually from TC. I would say Sorry but I can’t. I was not one of the ones in the jumping puzzle but I do know your frustration. I remember trying to do the jumping puzzle with Blackgate or SoR. You are probably feeling about as… well ok probably more frustrated then I. But the truth is, you are in a pvp zone. Which I know you will hate this answer but there is a pvp solution to this. So yea there it is. And to iterate on a few comments on people do this for a tactical reason… yea not true lol. I do not camp it cause its not my cup of tea, but the ones that are they are obviously enjoying themselves one way or another. My suggestion would be to organize a group of people and all go down at one time and give us a taste of our own medicine.

At the risk of sounding…. well old. All this jibber jabbering does nothing. At the end of the day we are out numbered. Outplayed?? Hell maybe. During off peak both are certain to happen. But during prime time we will do what we always do and hold our own. We did this against CD and Blackgate and suspect we will do that same to SoR. I do have to apologize to your late nighters SoR. With a losing score we have next to 0 late night crew so you guys are going to have some REALLY boring off peak times.

Now can we please fix the Loading bug for the jumping puzzle inside enternal?? When you have a 45 minute queue then get stuck at the loading screen its sorta frustrating

That right there is what I like. I hate it when people quit and leave for someplace ‘easier’. But honestly if they are like that, then you guys are better off with out. You just can not build a community with anyone like that. It does not matter where they go, if they hit another wall, they are just going to pack up and leave again. I pitty people like that. To those who stuck around at DB keep your heads up, I am sure we will knock heads again

Just giving a big shout out to… well everyone. GREAT fight this week. I have to be honest. I did not even want to buy Guild Wars 2. A friend bought it for me and made me play. I did not think I would like the PvP. Well I pushed to 80 (which was way funner than expected) and tried WvWvW for the first time. OMG I had a blast. To Dragonbrand, I am sorry you guys had a rough week but I know there is potential. When you guys were organized you were a force to be reckoned with. And CD, man you guys have a lot of people. I love being the underdog and well like the rest of my server, refuse to quit. Our refusal to quit and the competitive nature of all servers combined have caused me to fall in love with WvWvW. Cheers to everyone

Ok I got shoulders with Power/Tough/Vit gear. But is all that gear spread out threw out all the god temples? Seemed like all the other pieces had other stats on them. I may need to mix and match.

Thanks. Which God temple has the Power/Toughness/Vit? And eventually I can use badges… Been pvping for 2 days non stop and have 10…..

Just wondering if the Invader gear for Karma points is worth it? Just wondering. Don’t want to wast all that Karma if its not.

Am a Warrior with GS/Longbow

Not sure if its a bug or what. Several of the mobs down there were getting hit for large amounts of damage. And I mean large. I first noticed this with Hundred Blades hitting 2 mobs for 10k damage. Normally hits for 4 to 5k max so it made me take notice. 2 groups later I hit Blade trail. Group of on this one. First guy hit for 1900 then 700 both crits. Second mob hit for 79k(Instant death lol) Anyway thought you guys might want to check that out.

Them not posting much info maybe sort of a policy. Of course I really don’t know that but can guess. As for the comments on not trusting Facebook or Twitter. Just so you know you don’t have to have an account to follow them on twitter at least. Just hit follow and you get the updates. Mind you I do think they should post here but yea.

To those who are fine with the no info. That is your decision, and its Ok for you. But a lot of people like me and others who have posted, like real reasons. Not ‘hey its now working’. Perhaps info on what happened to it, bugged? Exploit? or just broken code. At this point no one knows which leaves a lot of room for the unknown factor. Many people hate the Unknown factor.

Well just to keep everyone up to date. As of about 20 minutes ago. They still do not know when it will be up. If they do know they are not saying. All that’s been said is it is currently down. And careful on the hate guys. If you have constructive criticism then give it. I like you think they should post on forums as much if not more than social media sites but if its not constructive its not helping you or anyone else.

OKAY OKAY guys lol. We asked for an update. We got one. Don’t turn this into a troll thread. The issue of them using facebook/twitter are debatable. But this is not the thread for that. And Koroze… If they took TP down there was a reason for it. They are a company which as I recall likes to make money. TP makes them money, well the gem portion. So if they had a workable version I think they would use.

Not to contradict you Zaron but this is a new game. All new games have issues. And let me tell you SWTOR had its fair share of them. There market place was a JOKE until not long ago. They also had there fair share of bugs.

I do not intend to belittle any of the devs or techs currently working on issues with this game. If something isn’t working I know they will try to fix it ASAP. I was just asking for an update.
