That’s how Reckless Dodge shows up in combat log I believe. It’s the first Strength minor trait.
I and someone else had this issue just now. We were trying to jump to Caer Shadowfain Waypoint from Lion’s Arch. After a really long wait time including relogin into same loading screen we both timed out with disconnect. The next login loaded us back to Lion’s Arch a message the waypoint had become contested and we had been redirected. (Although it doesn’t show as contested on map.)
So at least we’re unstuck, might not work for those trying to zone from nearby map or picking a different waypoint. =/
Yup. An active fan would do a better job than a dev at keeping the first post updated once the right person is found. That’s what made the necro thread great. I felt pointing it out earlier might be mean though.
At least someone who is willing could do a summary post every now and then, or just start a new thread with their compilation if they want to commit to it.
I’ve tried using Battle Standard to act as taxi for groups but it’s not worth it compared to couple of different people applying group swiftness with non-elite skills. The 2nd skill while holding it needs to be usable while moving and stability doesn’t last long enough to be worth picking up or holding a banner. The revive has been nice couple of times but makes the elite kind of situational. I also planted the banner between two downed people in Arah dungeon and it should’ve been within 400 if not 300 range of both but only revived one. I had to revive the other manually.
I hope nobody takes away my warrior club membership but I think Rampage might be almost decent. 20 second stability and interrupts has a lot to say in a pvp situation when it comes to finishing and reviving. This might leave it a situational win-more type ability though. Also part of my original disappointment with this elite was that it was the only hope for a defensive, reactive elite cooldown.
With those points in mind, I think they could either make Rampage a stun breaker and probably instant cast, or make it (partly?) fill your health bar when used. I feel the need of defensive/reactive utilities currently limits using other stuff on Warrior and this could ease that burden – at least if you’re willing to gain mobility aid from a source other than Signet of Rage. The health idea occurred to me because right now you’d have to use Rampage at high health to make use of its health bar boost but this has to be very pre-emptive if you don’t want to protect the cast bar with another stability effect first. After early Rampage you might be ignored and kited for the full duration.
The Rampage skillset itself has been complained about but I don’t think the CC abilities are necessarily any worse to land than Hammer and the utilities they’re based on. Damage, at least for the 1st skill, should probably be move competitive with the weapons you’re putting on hold. I wish the skill felt more “ragey” and berserk-like (movement speed? Slight quickness effect? Just faster animations?) since we’re oddly losing the use of utility skills.

The Warrior trait, Crack Shot, is suppose to reduce the cooldown of rifle skills by 20%. It does this for all the rifle skills, except for Volley.
Volley displays a cooldown of 8 (from 10) in its tooltip, however when you use it, the cooldown counts down from 10 instead of the correct 8 seconds.
Thanks. I came to add this in case I didn’t find it already mentioned.
Mine not only does that, she tends to yells about adrenaline at random times…like when there’s not even a battle going on.
Seriously, she runs past a rabbit and “ADRENALINE RISING!!!”
Excitable critters, aren’t they?
:)
I thought this shout was your Signet of Rage coming off cooldown and giving you the passive adrenaline regen buff.
Perhaps this thread is about the Exquisite jewels? Check out the recipes sold by Master Jeweler.
Uhh, ok. This killed me multiple times over a long event where I was in melee with a giant. (I was intentionally stubborn about doing the event in melee. Will be going back too, but hopefully only after this is fixed.)
I don’t know if you’re a gem buyer or a gold -> gem trader, but when you open black lion chests, you get tonics that will turn you into an animal or creature or something thats not a normal Player character. I’ve had great success using these (especially the owl) to traverse places in WvW without being attacked, as most people just think, “oh look, a birdy” and don’t really read the name plate.
So that’s what those people were trying to do.
I’ve seen this twice. Someone using a tonic who won’t even fight back when I kill them. One was an owl, ok. The other was trying to do this as an ooze… hardly conspicious.
I’d hope any competent WvW player has Show All Player Names option on but most people probably aren’t competent so it might work.
I really wish this, firstly, never happened unless I’m taking fall damage. And a significant percentage of my health at that. Secondly, it shouldn’t happen too often within short time window like in jumping puzzles.
Your premise of “axes are considered more mobile” seems like a strawman. Says who?
Having played both quite a bit, the axes play more fluidly because you can keep moving and the burst skill can be mixed in freely. The frequent little leaps can help you mitigate effects of immobilize (with trait) and cripples (just getting in range). It’s not a risky self-root like sword and rifle bursts are and not focused on a boon you might be getting from elsewhere like the greatsword burst is. I often just use the addrenaline bar for passive bonuses or burst with secondary weapon when using greatsword as primary.
That said, I’d call greatsword the only mobility weapon warriors have even if axes or longbow play more nimbly. It is possible to not press the Hundred Blades button and use the normal attacks until good opportunity presents itself. I have specifically used greatsword as secondary weapon just for the mobility of Whirlwind Attack and Rush because without them, you’ll be much worse at disengaging a bad fight when enemies are receiving help. Just moving around the map is slower without greatsword even if you have good Swiftness uptime.
I tested this. The bonus does apply to the burst skill that empties your adrenaline. Added note to wiki.
