When I am using GC warrior. I have win ratio against Guardian 1on1 100 %, either way they need always call their buddy to cover there for just GC warrior within 10 sec. Also when I use food/oil/item those so called pure elementalist d/d bunker can’t do anymore damage, I just rid the engine with omnoberries pie that lifeleench bunker dead. Often the bunker need to call 4 of his mate to attempt kill me but often ended up with failure.
I hope you do realize that 90% of guardians in WvW are built to support their group not for 1v1 fights? If you want to fight a 1v1 build guardian I’m sure we can set something up in an empty spvp server.
Glass cannon warriors are terrible and I’ll gladly prove it too you if you want.
Maguuma who has been victim of PRX from Sea of Sorrow. The matchup was so different the score booted out 400k vs 100k. And considering the PRX found ER pub tough to boot when I switching from EB to borderland to check. I can tell you level that you aren’t much different either.

One of your first posts after publicly announcing you are icoas new public relations officer was to insult and flame people because they accused you of exploiting. There really was no excuse for that, as a public relations officer you have to be able to keep your cool and deal with these kind of things calmly as they will happen often. Having your public relations officer make an angry rant post calling people scurbs and telling them to learn to play damages your guilds rep more than if a random guild member had of made the same post.
If you really want to improve your guilds rep you need to actually do things not just say them. How many times has vodka claimed you guys don’t allow hackers/exploiters in your guild? Too many to count.
Yet when someone posts a vid of an icoa thief doing something they shouldn’t be able to do in game vodka immediately jumps in and tries to defend them. I understand the urge to defend your friends but the only teleport skill that thief might of used was steal, all the other jumps had none of the animations or buffs that go with thief teleport skills. That is a clear warning bell that some thing isn’t right but instead of saying “thank you for bringing this to our attention we’ll look into it” you guys have to jump in and try to defend and justify what your guild mate did which just makes you look bad.
My apologies but one forum post is not likely to change any ones opinion of your guild. If you guys are serious about improving your rep you will actually have to show it not just claim it.
The video he posted a week or two ago where TW held BG Garrison showed the pov of a thief, I thought he said it was a video he shot from himself.
Maybe his main is a necro, or maybe I’m wrong and it was someone else in his guild. I’ve seen that thief many times in BG BL running with the TW zerg and I assumed it was him.
Either way it was meant as a mild jab at asuran thieves being kitten near impossible to see.
Indos main is a fugly orange necro. You see him a couple of times in the TW vid posted in this thread.

The only place thief trumps Ele in mobility would be in sPvP teleporting up ledges….but this is WvW where this doesn’t happen.
I tele up ledges all the time on my thief in WvW.
Mobility or just flat out speed? The fact that infiltrators arrow is a teleport while burning speed and ride the lightning go in a straight line give thieves a huge edge in mobility.
For straight up speed they are fairly even in my experience.
how much initiative does whirling axe cost? I keep casting C&D but my Whirling Axe keeps failing.
What weapon set is my chain fear on? I didn’t know it I could spam that too.

I did not read the post I quoted as 1 silver but as 1 second and I assumed they wanted to replace stealth with a steal skill that lasts one second. As in instead of granting stealth CnD steals the same item as our current skill steal does and you have one second to use it.
Personally I don’t think they should be removed just tweaked.

-Dolyak doesn’t grant instant supply but instead acts like a mobile supply depot with 250 supply and regenerating 10 per 30 seconds.
-Commander lasts as long as the out manned buff does and will aid the defense of your tower. He would despawn if you go 15 minutes straight without the out manned buff not as soon as it disappears.

This has not been my experience. I have seen siege disappear from lords room and the top of garrison without the place even being attacked. The same with siege in lords room of bay and hills.
Maybe it has some thing to do with players being nearby? Like if you sit there and watch an arrow cart or it’s in a place a lot of people pass by it won’t disappear but if no one is around or passes by for a time it disappears?
They should just get rid of all stealth skills and instead replace it with the effect : Steal 1s. Make the thief a real thief, not some assassin/ninja.

I read it as steal 1 second as in gaining a skill as if you had used steal for one second not as one silver, hence my post.
Thou on a less serious note I’m game for making CnD steal one silver instead of granting you stealth.
It’s quite possible to CnD every 5 seconds non stop so if you pick a group of mobs to farm you can gain an additional 12 silver per minute or an additional 7.2 gold in an hour on top of whatever you gained from farming. Oh yes please! =P

So you said four possible ports, I see him only using three, then he switched weapons to dag dag and had enough to use heartseeker. Is there also not a dodge to initiative? There are several dodges in that line as well.

Infiltrators arrow actually fires a very noticeable arrow and makes a black smoke cloud effect at the end of the teleport. Heart seeker also has an incredibly noticeable animation it’s the one where they fly threw the air with their dagger over their head.
Thief dodge rolls also blur your character during the period of the dodge and you see them move, it’s not a teleport.
Shadow step also places the shadow return “buff” on the thief for the next 10 seconds and I don’t know about you guys but I never saw it pop up even once.
Now if the icoa thief has a terrible internet connection and that is causing them to lag all over the place, I suppose it is possible but I have my doubts they would be able to play properly with a connection like that.
One person claimed to have a spy. One person =/= entire server. I personally have never heard anyone on our server team speak with information they shouldn’t have.

Couldn’t manage to hold out at our last keep when it’s a dozen vs 50.
Still painting all of black gate bl blue and holding all keeps was fun while it lasted , we even had a way point in black gates garrison.
< Lives in Australia. Disconnects maybe once every 3-4 days and not always in combat. This change will cost me maybe 1.5 silver a week from random internet d/c.
I will easily make 10 times that due to be not being able to alt f4 so I have no issue with this change.

- Bav wasn’t the level 8 character in that screenshot.
- I wasn’t even singling that one guy out, either, but trying to call attention to a single element of the reason why Blackgate comes out on top every week. It’s always so close…
- and being so close means that adjusting a few things means a win.
- World vs world isn’t a job, but it is my end-game in the only game I have time to play.
Yes your right bav isn’t the level 8, I never did check that screenshot. Still level 42 is not 80.
Black gate and IoJ has just as many under 80s in WvW as we do it’s not a SoR only issue and it’s not the reason we lose.
The reason we lose is because we often average ~100 ppt during oceanic time, we dropped down to +60 ppt for awhile last night. Coverage is the main reason you win or lose in WvW. Skill, organization, numbers while important are all second to proper coverage.
I have absolutely no idea why people on my server both approve of and defend not giving 100% and is doing all it can to destroy my willpower to give mine. You have no idea how depressing and disappointing that is… thanks, then, for trying to demoralize me further, but I will continue to stay fully stocked on blueprints (and use them), always carry supply to build siege, always be on a level 80 character, always have equipment sets that apply to different situations, and always use do everything that I can (whether you anyone thinks it’s more or less than someone with the holy blue dorito of zerging +1) to make a difference.
Competition isn’t all about hugs and butterflies and getting a trophy for participation and I will not pat someone on the back and say “there, there” because they want to ride everyone else’s best effort. If you aren’t doing all you can, you just don’t care about your own contribution and, again, I just don’t understand that. Is that your attitude in the real world, too? If it is, I have a lot more confidence about immediately getting any job I want after I finish my degree because there will be noone to compete against.
All I’ve learned from the persistent trolling in response to my posts is that wanting others to give their strongest possible effort in the spirit of strong team play — and saying it — is unreasonable and even tyrannical. How dare I. Even when there isn’t a queue (especially when there isn’t a queue) you should be on your level 80 character… but some of you have made it clear to me that I can say anything, negative or positive, and you’ll all continue to do what you want because you are entitled to.
And being on TeamSpeak isn’t benefitting our world as much as you think. I listen in on TeamSpeak whenever I’m in World vs World (and sometimes while I can’t be) and it’s nothing more than “Hey there’s guys attacking x.” “Hey guys let’s gather at y.” “Hey guys we have too many commanders on this map.” More importantly, anything that can be said on TS can be typed in game. That would be better because not everyone is on TeamSpeak. The only reason I have TeamSpeak installed at all is because I know that it’s a source of information on enemy movement, letting me and anyone who’s with me who isn’t on TeamSpeak know where we can be most useful either alone or in a group.
All-in-all, the only thing I want from SoR is what I demand from myself… do your best… and I’ll never say it again. Leech on, Sanctum of Rall… or take the invitation from that guy from Blackgate. They need you, apparently.
GW2 is a game. You play it to have fun. It’s not a job. There is no certain amount of hours you must spend in WvW each day. You really don’t seem to get this. It’s not a horrible sin to want to play a different class in WvW just because you haven’t got them to 80 yet.
You doing less for our server than Bav has nothing to with bavs ranger(which is he only seems to get on if there are no other commanders online) having a commander icon and everything to do with the amount you whine and kitten in team chat.
Talking on ts3 is much easier than typing, especially if you are fighting at the same time and often you’ll find at least one commander on ts will rely important parts to team chat. Yes some days there is too much idle chit chat on ts3, it is not perfect but it is getting better, maybe you should try running with one of the organized guilds when they are on ts?
All I see is level 8… and this is a trend on SoR.

Heaven forbid people get bored of the play style on their main and want to try something different every now and then. WvW is not a job, you do not have to bring your main every single day. Personally I would much rather have people on their alts in WvW than leveling their alts in pve.
Also Bav contributes more to our server than you. He is almost always on team speak coordinating with other guilds even when his friends and him decided to play around on charr hammer warrior alts.

Make portal cap the same as AOE cap.Then no one can complain and cry either AOE’s or portals are OP.
Getting rid of the aoe cap and forcing players to spread out would be a much better change imo. Who likes fighting 40 people standing in a clump ressing faster than you can down them.
Well that’s not always the case… IoJ’s oceanic sweeps in and turns damn near everything red during the late hours. So it’s not just blue and green all the time with one server benefiting from more upgraded fortifications; that red plague affects both our servers when we’re sleeping.
That is because your off peak guilds are too busy zerging sor bl or break out events in eb.
For the record, Blackgate has regularly been performing on par or better than SoR during NA time the past several days so it really isn’t a fair claim that your NA is of “higher quality”, especially when we have more West Coast and you have more East Coast so the earlier and later NA times swing the opposite ways.

Really not hard to defend fully upgraded structures. With the numbers you guys have you really shouldn’t lose as much stuff as you do.
Is it just me or does the new 25% speed increase not appear to stack with Swiftness?
Edit: Yes, it empirically does not stack with Swiftness. I had a mesmer ally I was outrunning hardcore with my Signet of the Hunt. She cast swiftness on us both and suddenly we were running side-by-side.
Nothing stacks with swiftness. Doesn’t matter how many speed buffs you have you won’t get over +33% movement speed. The only exception I know of will be the thief + movement speed while in stealth trait now that it’s been increased to 50% over 33% but it still doesn’t stack with swiftness or thief signet.
No. Me and a warrior had a great fight. We downed me and he had just a sliver of life. I used my 2 to stop his stomp and then spammed 1. I couldnt get his tiny sliver of life down. why? Because i stacked chill and vunerability on him and did NO damage to him.
Also I would be fine with the pvp aspect if it was somehow decent in pve or wvwvw. Mist form is incredible for wvwvw. Our 2 can be used to pull someone down but thats extremely rare and we will still die from being unable to move. The pve aspect is decent at best thanks to a strong level 3.
Overall our 1 skill needs to be changed at bare minimum. I would also change the 2nd skill.

Engineer 1 skill actually does pretty decent damage compared to other downed 1 skills. If you where doing no damage the warrior probably had endure pain up.
Only the ele has a good 2 downed skill for WvW.
Thief one is short ranged and mesmer one is random, some times they will save you and some times they will not. The other FIVE classes, not just engineer have an interrupt instead of some kind of mobility on their 2 skill.
Vengeance is nice when you get it off in WvW but the odds of that happening with all the aoes, stealth/stability finishers is very slim. It’s also not a real rally, you have a 15% chance un-traited to rally when you kill someone. If you don’t rally you die when vengeance ends.
Even I have to admit, the downed state abilities are total garbage. Why on earth would you want to pull your enemy towards you with #2?
Personally the #3 should be #2, up the damage on #1, and give us something awesome for the new #3, Hell like dropping a ton of turrets on yourself.
Our 2 skill is an interrupt, stop complaining. Unless you guys played an ele BEFORE the mist form change then you do not understand what a terrible downed state is.
Engineer downed state is average, not amazing but on par with the others in most situations.
A lot of downed state complaints arise mainly from WvW situations where half the classes routinely manage to escape back into the safety of their zerg or group after being downed near the front. Ele’s mist away, Mesmers and Thieves teleport, and warriors freaking stand back up again with a self-rally.
Seeing as ele has the only reliable way to get to safety that is not half the classes.
Thief teleport is 600 range, half the time you are still in aoe range after teleporting back.
Mesmer teleport is random, it has a decent chance of sending you towards the enemy zerg.
Who lets a warrior vengeance after they down them? In a zerg on zerg most people I know focus fire on downed people.
Except nearly every other #2 downed state ability has a lengthy stall tactic to it. The entire mist form period is invulnerable, the Mesmer can stay stealthed for a period after creating a clone, so can the thief after teleporting, etc. But the scorpion wire for engineers has about a half-second knock-down to it…IF it connects. There is no stalling other than the initial hit AND using #2 does zilch to prevent any other incoming damage unlike all those other classes. Furthermore, it is entirely useless against quickness finishers and stealth finishers whereas Ele, Mesmer, and Thiefs all negate those finishers if they fire #2 (and aren’t unlucky about how close they end up to the initial finishing attempt).
Meanwhile, nearly every other class can fire a timely #2 to hold out until their #3 timer is ready and then they have yet another move to use. Engineers only ever fire off #3 in PvE or if their opponent is comatose.
The mesmer stealth is about 1 second (I’m not even sure if it’s an actually stealth or just rendering) and if you aren’t using skills mesmer downed state damage is pathetic. A mesmer should never get their 3 skill off in a 1v1 fight unless you are kitten or got downed at the same time as the mesmer.
An ele might get off the first tick or two of grasping earth before you finish them if they time their mist form right and you were not right next to them when they got downed but that’s it, you still finish them.
A thief does not stealth with their number 2 skill, if they aren’t showing up after using it that is due to rendering, use tab to target them then finish them. Only their number 3 skill stealths them and it has the same cool down as explosion, meaning they will never get it off in a 1v1 fight because you walked/dodged rolled up them them after they tele’d and finisher them.
Don’t stand there completing your finisher after a thief teles just cancel it and move on.
Rangers, warriors, necromancers, guardians and engineers all cannot stop quickness finishers. Half the time ele/mesmer/thieves can’t stop quickness finishers either.
No class except ele can fire a timely number 2 to hold out until their 3 skill in a 1v1 fight against a good player and eles 3 skill is useless as you never get it more than 1-2 ticks before you get finished.

Necro life drain is buggy and difficult to cancel just finish them or dodge their fear then finish them.
Yeaaah, well… No, not really. Every other class has a better mechanic, the ones you just described (except maybe rangers ?). The simple fact that you describe a strategy to beat them show they are better ! Engineer downed strategy : just go to them and stomp away, oh wait he pulled me, never mind just stomp him.
I find a mobility skill goes a long way in WvW, when it gets you out of the kill zone and closer to your allies.
Most of the time you can time your pull interrupt just right that your 3 skill comes off cool down before they can finish you. This means you want your pull to land towards the end of the finisher animation instead of the start.
It’s the same with all classes a well timed 2 skill will give you enough time for your 3 skill to come off cool down but all the skills are stupid easy to dodge or counter so you should never get them off against a good player unless they are downed as well.
As for WvW the mobility skills are defiantly useful but thief is short ranged and mesmer is random. Ele is the only reliable one to save yourself unless you got hit by a lengthy immobilize before you hit mist form.

No, just no.
Before the mist form change ele down state was horrible, until a downed state is that bad it is not terrible.
We have an interrupt on 2 and our 1 skill does decent damage and has a nice chance to chill.
As for hardly ever getting to use explosion? Well guess what other classes hardly ever get to use their 3 skill either.
You know how most 1v1 fights against downed people go?
Warrior, dodge hammer then finish them. No vengeance, hell even if you get hit with the hammer you have enough time to stand back up and finish them.
Thief, start finisher and when they teleport away you just cancel walk up to them and finish them anyway.
Mesmer, stop attacking wait for the real one to appear(hint: the one with the big red dot above their head) then finish them.
Ele, start finisher so they pop mist form then cancel it and follow them. Finish them as soon as mist form ends.
They don’t seem so different to;
Engineer, start finisher then cancel it and dodge the pull then finish them.
TL:DR Engineer down state skills are on the same level as every other class.
