My guild might come close to fitting your requirements, though we are still a bit small, but actively progressing and growing quickly. We currently have about 30 members, though we’re all very experienced with dungeon/fotm running.

We have people from everywhere so don’t worry too much about it. I’m just a night owl and happen to be online late, but others are here earlier.

Berserker’s gear is the way to go, even if you’re new to the game. I’ve run it since I was new and never looked back.
I run a late night west coast dungeon speed run guild. For the right personality/potential, we may be an option for you. You say you like dungeons but not speed running though so probably not.

Still looking for all classes. We have a nice variety so far.

Feline Grace [Meow], named for the once popular thief trait, is a PvE focused guild with special interests in Dungeons and Fractals!

About the guild:
•We are a small community of (mostly) adult players who understand life happens around the real world.
•We look for players interested in Meta builds and self-improvement.
•We host the famous “Drunk Dungeon Night” and other crazy, fun events.
•We are a small guild with opportunities to fill more leadership roles as we grow. We are always looking for individuals interested in leadership roles.

What we expect from you:
•Use of the current meta game build/gear for the appropriate class. We expect you to come fully geared out and supplied with food buffs, potions, etc. We WILL gear check you.
•Team Speak – Having a mic is required. Very few exceptions are made. We operate 100% out of TS and need you there! Plus we love to chat and get to know you!
•Ability to play at least two classes well, and have both geared.
•Be friendly!

Tyler is awesome and super nice to chat with in TS. You all are missing out by not snagging him.

One wise soul once said in map chat, that a guild is only good if you get along with the people in it. Many guilds will fit your needs, but it all boils down to the people you are going to be calling “guildies”. I loved it when my guild took me to TS for an informal interview before joining. We had such a crazy fun conversation that I knew I’d fit right in.

Aww I bought all the home gathering nodes just to faceroll my daily gatherer. That was my favorite daily.

Got it on my second try with my squishy zerk ele with no armor. That was fun! Pretty lengthy instance though.

First, a bit about me:
I have over 13k AP and have been playing since beta. I have an 80 of every class and a few duplicates, all geared up and ready to go. (11 level 80s if you want to know)
I run dungeons every night and am competent in Arah duoing as well. I play some classes better than others, but mostly can play everything competently. I will trial for your guild if need be. I have TS/mumble/vent and a mic and love to talk.
Due to my work schedule I have become somewhat of an oceanic player, even though I live in NA.
I am looking for a guild that is
-dungeon focused
-zerk meta speedrunners
-Active (I want to run with guildies and not have to pug)

Basically, if you play just Ele, you can trial as just Ele! ^^

Do you normally trial on several different classes?
I have and regularly play pretty much all classes. Some are more enjoyable than others though.

I heard about your guild today from a friend and am interested, but I’m brushing up my arah skills first. I hope to apply in the future though.

Likes:
-Guild control over events (this seems like it would help super guilds like TTS take down teq at a time when not many are in zone so they can get more of their people into their fight.)

Dislikes:
-Seems confusing to get a whole guild into a particular map by partying the whole guild and taxi-ing them in. Perhaps there could be a button on the guild missions menu to say, “join guild event map” or something.

-Double waypointing for contested waypoints. Ok this one annoys me, I have to pay for two waypoints just to get to my dungeon instance and wait for two loading screens. This seems pretty annoying.

-Dungeon contesting events. Ok, I deal with running these events a lot, but they are a huge deterrant from playing cof, when I could just go to another dungeon and earn the same 1 bonus gold without having to escort razen the raider for the 100000000th time. No I cant even have a hope of skipping them by guesting anymore.

Thoughts:
-Boss timers are really the only solution for a mega server, but they limit what events I can play if I can only play in the evenings, etc.
-I really like the game as it is, why is this change needed anyways? I mean, if I wanna play with fewer people, I visit small servers, and if I wanna take down a mega boss, I visit higher population servers. It was never a problem to have different worlds.

Pros:
-Multi-server guild repping is no longer completely pointless (yay!)
-world transferring is possible without loosing your hard-earned personal bank guild attached to a specific server.

Cons:
-More annoying guild recruitment messages in wvw to spam the chat log since homeworlds no longer exist for afk-ing or recruitment. (When commanding, I really rely on mapchat to be my eyes and ears and want it clear)

I am concerned about this because I transferred to the unofficial RP server, but many people on my friendslist are from my old server, or other servers for running dungeons. I DO NOT want to be put back on my old server (unless I am guesting over to visit them on occasion). I paid real money (gems) to move myself to a new community to escape the old drama.
I have no RP guild because I rely on random encounters in divinity’s reach, or previously Lion’s arch. I don’t usually add all of those people to my friendlist, but this system seems like I will have to.
I think this is great for open world PvE, but it seems like it will destroy the community we worked hard to accomplish. I command for TC sometimes and love using our servers’ mumble channel. When I run to Edge of the mists, all of that is useless and you have to command by typing only, or in your mumble server with ONLY your guildies. I believe this will limit the number of people to play with, as it make organization near impossible.

So, yes this seems like it would be fun for those low population servers, and for many world boss encounters, EXCEPT the megafights like Teq and wurm. I just wish it didn’t apply to cities because I have a hunch it’ll pair me with my old server mates and I wont be able to find new RP-ers, or have the familiarity of my community as I know it.

My husband and I ran a 2-person bank guild for months and finally unlocked guild bounty hunts. We would like to succeed at these bounty hunts, and we seem to find ourselves seeking help from players relaxing in Lion’s arch. However, with the destruction of LA it’s been near impossible to gather up even a few helpers in the 3 various maps especially with most throwing you into overflow. I’ve decided to try these forums for help.

So, we’ve changed our guild into a No-rep bounty hunt guild. We are currently running tier 1 bounty hunts 1-2 times a week. We’re trying out various times at the moment, but right now Saturday afternoon PST seems to be a good time for the most part. We are based on Tarnished Coast, so if you’re from another server, you might have to guest over. Also, we have our own mumble server for better coordination, which all members are welcome, but not required, to use.

The guild was named Mochi [Nika] after our two dogs and has a pawprint theme.
We require no repping whatsoever, or even joining for that matter. We just want some help with the missions.

Having farmed two sets of AR before the change, I’d actually be in favor of this, but I can’t see how they could implement it easily. Ascended armors infusions would become next to useless and people would entirely drop the motivation to get ascended gear.

Is this still going? I want to dig up some screen shots now!

I don’t know, I’ve been kicked from PUG groups at the end of dungeons for that too.

Necromancer doesn’t contribute as much as most other classes, and when in the hands of the wrong player, actually cause significant grief for a speed run. We’ve been trying to speed run dungeons lately, gotten everyone to stack and pull the mob just right for our warrior to burst down only to have a necromancer fear them away or something ridiculously dumb. Sadly, it’s easier to just say lfg speed run no necromancer, because we get through our dungeons faster. It’s sad, but true.

I’ve been looking into the class lately and realize it’s fine, much like rangers, but often times it’s just from a bad experience with them in PUG groups. Warriors have much less potential to do something stupid.
