Another thing, before you complain about how hard a Personal Story is, try actually gearing up to your level or actually getting up to the level of the Personal Story for that matter, maybe even a bit higher and I guarantee you shouldn’t have a single difficulty issue with these stupidly easy Personal Stories. -.-

You don’t know much do you? My Ranger is lvl 80 and she was behind on her story line.. She was on her lvl 30 story step… I played through it all the way to 80. There were several steps in her story that were overly difficult even with her being 80, but that doesn’t matter since the game dumbs you down to that lvl. And FYI she was geared. You might want to pull head from kitten and think about it a sec… That maybe some parts of the story might be somewhat overpowered for a solo storyline.. Some parts of my storyline was anything but easy. So take your QQ and your guarantee somewhere else. I don’t blame Arenanet either, I just blame whinners like you. Go kill and army of 50+ risen and an army of unlimited giants with a army of 10 and see how you fair..

Most mission with an “unlimited” supply of risen giants usually has a different way of being beaten than straight combat, and 50 risen is hardly a challenge if you utilize aoes and skill properly >_> took a mediocre geared glass cannon thief through story mode, under-leveled at some points, and its all very easy if you dont just charge in without thinking about the situation a bit…

…..and by lvl 80 geared, do you mean blues? no lvl 80 should have difficulty in quests before lvl 80 lol even without rares/exotics, its a bit sad that you have played a character to that extent without learning how to handle difficult situations

well, it is possible that you happened to start downloading the patch along with a large number of players. I had downloaded the patch in the morning about 4 hours before the event, but about 1 hour after the event started, people were getting disconnected, and couldn’t log back in, most likely due to the high number of players trying to get in and play during the event. A few of my friends couldn’t even log for a couple of hours so, im guessing that there was a long lasting effect on those who hadn’t patched earlier…. since there hasn’t been any official word on that its just my guess. In any case, you were unlucky with the patch update…. but it was far from the “if you aren’t there when it happens you will never see the content of the event” type scenario many people were worrying about :x

this boss is ridiculously easy, went in with just me and a friend and took care of the boss and his minions without any trouble …

Pay to win anything is a slippery slope. After all, what’s the difference between a PvE title and a PvP one? They’re all just data on ANet’s servers, after all.

Making the purchasable costumes so much better was a great way to raise money. Not such a great move for a game that is supposed to avoid the pay-to-win cash shop.

if the costumes had anything to do with….. giving players who purchased them a meaningful advantage like leveling faster, making money faster, having a stat boost etc. then yeah it would be kinda stupid….. but really its a kitten title, and the event has only been out for one day

Personally i like the berserker set… pumps out a ton of damage when combined with “30% chance to x on crit” type sigils and traits. Also i have a 4 piece set of superior rata sum runes and 2 superior eagle… not the best but it does the job as longs as you know when to run away xD

generally these large scale DEs give rewards based on damage that you deal during its duration, especially for large boss events like shadow behemoth, shatterer, and the other dragons. If the “first x number of players to tag the boss” were true… that x number would have to be quite large, since i have ran in on maybe the last 35%-40% of a boss fight and still managed to get a gold or silver contribution reward.
…that being said, there were many moments when starting out in areas above my level where i wouldnt get any medals… but the medals i got would greatly increase as my damage output and level continued to rise.
