@LordYz, except it wasnt 1 week later was it? Using your comparison it was more like, me and someone else buying the same PC, for the same price, at the same time, except with him getting more ram than me.

Also, citing proof? Cite proof that it was lower than that %, oh wait, you can’t because no one knows except for ANet, me? Im speculating, how? By talking to my 3 different guilds, by having seen the map chat, with the group of people I was doing the event with and actually counting how many linked the precursors they got, what about you?

Problem is they -were- handed out like candy in this event, the drop rate was as high as 25% at least, whereas in the rest of the world, and even in Zommoros MF, its as low as 1% if not lower, that’s my point, its not like 5 people out of 100 got precursors, more like 45-50 did, that’s what leaves a bitter taste, you did not have to be ‘lucky’ to get a precursor in the event, you were simply ‘unlucky’ if you didnt, which is a terrible and poorly thought out system to give players items and wealth that take months and months to acquire in normal game circumstances.

Zamrai seems to be the only one that gets it, I’ts not a ‘jealousy’ or ‘envy’ issue, Im happy for the people that got a precursor, my best friend got one, and he finally got to buy the Tier 3 Cultural he wanted, I wouldnt want to take that from him, but it has left a bitter taste, knowing I worked just as hard but probably wont reach that type of goal, for month and months to come, while a % managed to suddenly get massive, boost, and the difference between the loot of people who got a precursor and those who didnt is really really huge, worth-wise.

Too bad you can’t really prove that you did not get one though, just going on your attitude though I’d say your just trying to fan some flames, so Ill respond with this.

I said this three times now, if I’m seeing people in a few of my guilds, and people on map-chat, even at this hour, basically a day after the event, at each-others throats, then something is wrong.

I gotta wonder if you would use the “Its just a game.” excuse, if say ANet decided to suddenly either take all your gold, or make your character start from level 1, humor me, just say they had their reasons, you’d be cool with that? 100%?

Funny thing about this topic is, everyone who got a precursor will post saying how those who dont are envious and that it was fair, and everyone who did not, will most likely agree that it was unfair, correct me if Im wrong but I’d say an action or move that slices between the community like this is kinda bad, I dunno about you guys but Im seeing guildies and people at each-others throats right now on my server, everything seems bitter, and tons of people are upset and disappointed.

Also, I ‘guessed’ 40% simply because the sheer majority on my server at least got a precursor, there was plenty of people coming forward to say they did.

I know that’s how RNG, works, that’s my point, RNG was a bad idea for this event, they should have made precursors guaranteed for lvl 80’s or better yet not include them AT ALL, in an event like that, exotics would have been enough, free tickets to life-time gold security for a % is not.

So out of lets say, 100 people who spent 3 hours or so participating in a long-chained hard event, a lucky 40% win the RNG lottery and rewarded with a precursor which nets them a sum of gold any other player would have to farm half a year for?

Zommy was fair, you had to get 4 exotics, and sacrifice them for chance, but this event? Wow, and hearing about things like people with Trial accounts walking away with Dusk, while others are getting drops worth barely 1g, horrible, terrible move, has utterly put me off playing or even making an effort, feels like half of my friends suddenly got a ‘free’ rich boost out of nowhere with me and a few others getting disgraceful rewards in comparison, severely disappointing.

Never been one to be sore about others getting lucky with drops but when its such a high percentage with some people getting left out, feels almost like I was cheated considering I put in the same time and effort, with half of the players that helped walking away with barrels of legendary treasure, while the other half watches slack-jawed and speechless and some angry too.

Is anyone else having the same problem with purchasing gems as I am?
The following error is the only thing shown on the actual purchasing window.

“Error” : “Unable to Parse Response”
“src” : “Load”,
“Type” : “PaymentsModelList Error”

I though that it might possibly be under maintenance still though that was 22 hours ago, so I’m not sure.

Frankly I was wondering how long it would take the ‘hardcore’ crowd who seem to find fault with every tiny aspect of an MMO to find it here, sadly it seems they have arrived.

Having a quick glance over the threads in this forum, revealed the same but none the less shocking and disturbing suggestions you can find in any other popular MMO, things such as “Orr should be group only content! Its too easy!” And “Mobs should have AoE avoidance! Farming is too easy”.

What’s more shocking is, I honestly dont think there is anyone here who can honestly say “Oh all explore mode dungeons are too easy”, and yet content outside of that apparently must be brought up to the same difficulty?

I sincerely hope developers looking over the forums do not take this group of people as the voice of the player-base, there is more than staggering enough content for ‘Hardcores’ to throw hours upon hours for, raising the difficulty for those of us who do not want to get a group just to see Orr for example (Which by the way I think is fantastically designed even with the bugs and I absolutely loved exploring it) or giving mobs AoE avoidance (Seriously I cannot believe these suggestions) would be utterly unfair to those of us without the possibility of being able to commit to the game 6 hours or day, or do not find the game becoming an un-enjoyable difficult chore ‘fun’.

I doubt I will ever get a full set of exploration mode gear, why? I find they are too hard and take too long to complete, and I dont expect to get that armor either, I’m glad though that its there as some form of prestige for people who play harder than I do, still does not make it right to warp the whole game around them however.

So a few days ago I contacted support via a ticket (Which seems to be the only way, very disappointing I was hoping for a phone service) about how I could not buy gems due to the “Failed to Finalize” and “Card Approval” errors when everything was fine on my end.

The only reply I have gotten, was a short, barely human “Your ticket has been escalated and someone will contact you shortly” except that its been two days and no ones contacted me.

What should I do? Make another ticket? I don’t get why this is happening at all, really, there has been plenty of time to get around to answering my ticket.

No word since the last update, come on ANet really? This is that much of a complex complicated issue? You don’t even have a phone-service I can contact, i just want this sorted out.

I got a small update from support just an e-mail saying my issue had been escalated, which is not much help, although I appreciate the effort to keep me updated on what’s going on from ANets side and thank them for it, I still have the problem of not being able to buy gems, which is slowly making me not want to. Please apply a little more haste ANet.

Been waiting for ANet to help me out with this but I’m really getting impatient after not hearing anything back, I have no idea why this is happening, but my card, constantly keeps getting “Approval Failed” when I try to purchase gems, likewise, trying a payment via Paypal results in “Failed to Finalize” I have checked my card and account and everything is fine on my end, its as if randomly ANet decided that I cannot buy anymore gems?

Anyone else have this problem? A Fix? Some insight from ANet? I realize support right now is chaotic with so many hacked accounts, but this really should be an easy issue and an important one I think to fix.

Having the same problem unable to purchase gems due to stupid “Card Approval Failed” and “Failed to finalize order”, really frustrating, I appreciate trying to put in a system for my protection, but this just seems utterly over-sensitive and broken, I was counting on getting some gems when the store came back on, even made a ticket ( Reference: 120921-000320 ), and likewise checked my card and things on my end and everything is fine.

I just hope it wont take days to sort this out. Really not happy.

Likewise most other people here Im unable to purchase gems, this is really frustrating as I had specifically waited to purchase more this week, I have made ticket but no help yet, I just hope they don’t take too long, this is really wrecking the experience for me.

Definitely do want, quiet badly as a matter of fact, once you reach a high level and have been playing a character for a while a fresh look can give you more inspiration and drive to do so, after all Guild Wars 2 is a gorgeous game and to me the ultimate goal isn’t high stats, but looking as awesome as possible, and being able to change my characters appearance once in a while just adds to that.

I’d definitely be willing to buy gems for this!

For a few days now I have been stuck on this quest, unable to proceed with my personal story. As you progress through the story and reach the stage where Trahearne’s future self is giving his ‘general’ speech and you proceed to help destroy the risen army, the quests seems to become bugged.

After defeating all the risen in the area you are prompted to continue on to the next location of the Avatar of the Tree, however when you reach her, Trahearne does not speak to her as he did before, nor can you interact with her in anyway, and so you cannot continue on with the quest.

Please fix this, I am quickly out-leveling my personal story and missing out on it and its rewards by being blocked.

Short Summary of Bug: Trahearne does not speak with Avatar of the tree and so progress through the quest is blocked.
