i’m worried for mesmer, i hate the shield and i hate how our ’’elite’’ specialization is based around a stupid offhand
no i hated gw1, i remember me and my friends were trying to find a good game to play together and after we went through some games we ended up trying gw1 factions, we played for two days and than we stopped, we thought it was this huge world but it turns out its just instanced areas, very linear and just garbage, we had no fun at all and we dropped the game like a hot potato, ive tried replaying factions again but i just couldnt do it, it’s so lame and boring, i hated gw1, we all just ended up playing WoW and my 8 year legacy began, it wasnt until last year that i gave gw2 a try and it was perfect, exactly what i was looking for, its what i thought gw1 was, i love gw2 now and i wish i wasnt put off so much from kittenty gw1 and tried gw2 earlier, point is, not only do i NOT miss gw1, i hated it with the passion, it was garbage

who cares? ive been a WoW veteran for 8 years and ive seen enough capes, its so generic, so boring, and so lame to beg for such a crappy thing to add, one of the biggest reasons ive switched from WoW to gw2 is because of the unique looking backpieces, its a breath of fresh air from the stupid capes
nope human’s are the only race i’ll play, everything else looks so stupid, especially charr and asura, dumbest looking races ive ever seen in a game
I’m an 8 year WoW veteran and having a cape to me is sort of…..generic
One of the biggest reasons i’ve switched to Gw2 was because of the unique back pieces, I was over whelmed when i learned we can wear thing other than capes, it was a breath of fresh air
I for one don’t really care about having capes or not
All Anet has to do is increase the drop rate of all cloths, I can get mithril and leather really easily, but silk not as much, it should have a higher drop rate than it wont be as hard to obtain, WoW does this for a lot of their mats and it devalues the item pretty well if it’s too expensive for player’s
I believe Anet can possibly use the same strategy if they really needed to
I am an 8 year WoW veteran, so I am use to having to pay constantly for content, including expansions, having only to pay for gw2 and it’s expansion is a blessing to me and a huge relief that there isnt a subscription fee,
i could care less about duels,
I can see griefers taking full advantage of this, count me out
I totally understand both ends of the argument, one end being the whole paywall feeling, and the other end that the product is actually worth the paywall
here are my two cent’s I hope to god it isnt just a big living world update, but at the same time you have to understand that this game isnt subscription based, besides the expansion, before and after you will be paying NOTHING, big deal if you have to buy the expansion, mmo’s have been doing that for years, WoW makes their subscribers pay for their expansions, why wouldnt Anet? in the end were lucky we arent paying a subscription, just be happy we are even getting anything at all

lol it was so easy to get ascended gear, i wish there was another tier if anything, I cant even imagine how easy it was to get exotic’s thank god they released ascended gear or else I would’ve quit along time ago
I totally agree, I LOVE my mesmer, i refuse to play any other class because i dont find it as enjoyable as my mesmer, I feel mesmer is quite unique with it’s weapon’s its not a typical class like warrior and ranger, The fact that mesmer can use weapons like swords and Greatswords is odd to me but it’s also why i love mesmer class, so having a pistol is completely reasonable,
I seriously do not like the shield, never have, never will, if i have an option to use a shield or not, ill always pick to not use one, and that’s exactly what im going to do with this new shield for mesmer’s I wont even look at it, to me a Shield is extremely boring, just typing the word shield puts me to sleep, it’s just so boring, so when i heard that my favourite class is getting one of the most boring offhand’s you can get, i was extremely disappointed, i was hoping for some kind of bow or pistol/rifle, not a lame shield, I hope to god there is an actual weapon added that i can enjoy (hopefully pistol) and have fun with, also people complaining that it’s weird for mesmer’s to pistol’s…..uuh so a ranger wielding a staff isnt weird ? a necromancer using a GS isnt weird ? to me that is as weird as it get’s
Please anet add an actuall fun weapon to use and get rid of this shield idea, non of us die hard mesmer’s want that garbage
I personally do not like the ‘’Holy Trinity’’ system, it was enjoyable at a time (8 year WoW player) but I am very tired of it, I came to guild wars 2 LOVING the fact that holy trinity is NOT a thing, and I really love it, please dont bring this in

Im sticking with my mesmer, i love that class to play anything else, plus rev doesnt look that great when i saw the gameplay, ill be playing my mesmer
