Full DE name is “Help Legionnaire Boneflayer crush the Renegades”.

This is in Fields of Ruin, towards the top of the map. I oblige the DE and revive the required NPC. Several of them in fact, since the legionnaire in question seems to have doppelgangers. (Might need to copy-paste links since I haven’t worked out how image tags work here.)

Kit refinement for Medkit:
Explosion is a blast finisher OR healing mist. I mean it wouldn’t be that hard to change it to an ele’s traited water attunement healing, would it? Surely we can be an inferior copy of the king of versatility.

Disguise Kit:
Skill #1 – Banner (random). Upon being picked up, allies get banner skills. Can also be picked up by enemies and use self-destruct, halving enemy HP and killing the engi.
Skill #2 – Conjure Weapon (random). Both allies and enemies get weapon skills. Engi can also self-destruct.
Skill #3 – Environmental weapon (random). + self destruct.
Skill #4 – Mook (random). Become a random lvl1 animal that explodes when hit. Knockback range over 9000. (I jest.)
Skill #5 – Ninja. Stealths for 10s as long as you don’t move. (Ash Legion Spy Kit pls)

As long as the engi is transformed, the engi cannot move. Also self-destruct damages armor. Rifle range reduced to 900, pistol to 500. Damage decrease by 33% across the board. gg

event difficulties

I can’t remember if it was labelled “Group Event” (likely), but anyway, there’s an event in, I believe, Brisban Wildlands, where the Inquest, Nightmare Court and Bandits have their “head honchos” (they’re in a group of 3) and they need to be defeated. I tried solo-ing it once, and another time with one other person. Both times failed miserably.
I think it is the Inquest guy who spawns a golem that heals them, so soloing would be rather impossible when you try to focus on the golem while having three other vets (heck are they champs even?) beating on you.
Okay so I hadn’t noticed the golem prior, so I didn’t take it down first. However, if it gets respawned… well, wouldn’t the event just take ages? It’s not like you can constantly dodge in a 3+1v1 fight.

I loved the engineer ever since the first video I saw of it. Admittedly I chose the class because I love the flamethrower (which I hardly use except for auto-targetting) and also I just can’t get used to any of the mage classes. I’ve rolled all three of them. I get so annoyed at how easy I die with an ele despite running around a lot, necros are eh, and mesmers seem so damn slow. Considering I’ve always played mage classes, it’s weird.
With my engi’s current tanky build (not quite tankcat :P) I can take fair amount of hits. I hardly go down even going melee and currently at L4 fractals, that’s pretty dang good for later if I may say so.

no. 1 could still be the Throw Junk but with more variety of conditions?
OR
“Blind Shot”: Spread-type rapid fire

no. 2 becomes the explosion.
OR
“Self-Resuscitation (elixir)” ala an ele’s vaporous form.

no. 3 becomes a long-ish cooldown for a mini turret. (which would go down quickly anyway because they’re so damn fragile)
OR
“Proto-type Teleportation Device” (#3 cooldowns are always so damn long though when you’re trying to get back up)

Possibly the only time #2’s pull would be useful is when you manage to escape into a zerg at WvW and pull someone close to have your allies finish them off, I guess? Because yeah, really, why do you want to pull someone closer to you when you’re dying?

Tried out the build with 4/6 pieces, without retraiting (build is at 30/0/0/30/10), using the same utility skills and rifle with young karkas. Couple of times mistimed the blocking so I still got hit by the needle things, another time forgetting to pop retaliation. Nevertheless, I was close to being downed, but I still managed to survive. Even without full toughness I can still tank things :’D

Damage output is not what I’m used to with me either throwing grenades at range or just running in there dropping bombs and having my arm fall off, but this is definitely going to be great for WvW attempted suicide runs that I tend to do so often haha.
